        B-fluoroethylacetate에 의한 hyperkalemia 발생 예

        In acidosis associated with mineral acids, acide- mia per se, results in predictable increases in serum K^+ concentration. In acidosis associated with nonmineral organic acids, serum K^+ concen- tration usually remains within the normal range in uncomplicated cases. The mechanism of this di- ffering effect of mineral and organic acidemias on transmembrane movement of K^+ remains undefined. We observed that serum K^+ was increased after ingestion of p-fluoroethylacetate 6.0gm for sucide.

        Double-chamber right ventricle (DCRV) is a rare congenital heart disease consisting in right ventricular obstruction due to one or several anomalous muscle bundles that divide the right ventricle into two chambers. The right ventricular outflow tract obstruction is generally progressive in these patients. A ventricular septal defect is one of the commonly associated malformations. A 23-year-old woman with exertional dyspnea was admitted to our hospital and undertaken echocardiography, cardiac catheterization and both ventricular angiograms. The diagnosis was established and report with review of literatures.

        An Analysis of Korean characters’ Frequency Survey from the 21st Century Sejong Plan for Type Design in Hangeul

        This study, the Korean language data of the Corpus of the 21st Century Sejong Project, was made in modern Korean, using approximately 370,000 literature words and about 800,000 words of spoken Korean. YoonDesign Group's Park Jae-hong typeface research institute collaborated with Seoul National University's Shin Hyo-pil research team in surveying and analysing frequency of the corpus. As a research method, frequency examined using Python, an advanced programming language published by Guido van Rossum in 1991. The frequency of initial consonants was found to be over 54 % of the total frequency of the 19 initial consonants out of the four consonants, ㅇ, ㄱ, ㄷ, ㅅ. The frequency of vowels was 50 % or more of the total 21 consonants in three consonants, ㅏ, ㅣ, ㅡ . The frequency of final consonants was found to be over 52 % of the total frequency of the 28 final consonants out of the six consonants, characters without final consonant, ㄴ, ㄹ, ㅇ, ㄱ, ㅁ. ‘이’ was used most often with 9.351% out of the horizontally aligned characters without consonants. ‘한’ was used most often with 4.252% out of horizontally aligned consonants. ‘고’ was used most often with 12.389% out of vertically aligned characters without consonants. ‘는’ was used most often with 15.511% out of vertically aligned consonants. ‘의’ was used most often with 42.506% out of characters without consonants that are aligned vertically and horizontally. ‘원’ was used most often with 19.898% out of consonants that are both horizontally and vertically aligned. 3,025 characters are found on the around 45,000,000 words on this research. The frequency of characters was found to be over 9 % of the six consonants, 이, 다, 는. The top 822 syllables represented 99 % of total use. The survey could suggest that the top 181 letters, which account for 80 % of the total syllables as the representative of the type design in Hangeul.

        Antioxidant Enzyme Activity and Meat Quality of Meat Type Ducks Fed with Dried Oregano (Origanum vulgare L.) Powder

        One-day-old Cherry valley meat-strain ducks were used to investigate the effect of supplemental dried oregano powder (DOP) in feed on the productivity, antioxidant enzyme activity, and breast meat quality. One hundred sixty five ducks were assigned to 5 dietary treatments for 42 days. The dietary treatment groups were control group (CON; no antibiotic, no DOP), antibiotic group (ANT; CON+0.1% Patrol), 0.1% DOP (CON+0.1% DOP), 0.5% DOP (CON+0.5% DOP), and 1.0% DOP (CON+1.0% DOP). Upon feeding, 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging activity of oregano extracts was higher than that of tocopherol, although it was less than that of ascorbic acid. As a result of in vivo study, DOP in the diet showed no effects on final body weight, feed intake, or feed conversion ratio. However, dietary 0.5% and 1% DOP supplementation caused a significant increase in the serum enzyme activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) compared with CON and ANT, while glutathione peroxidase (GPx) in tissue was increased as compared to ANT (p<0.05). Cooking loss from ducks fed with DOP decreased compared with the control ducks. Thiobarbituric acid reactive substance (TBARS) values of duck breast meat at 5 d post slaughter was found to be significantly reduced in ducks whose diets were supplemented with 0.5% and 1% DOP (p<0.05). These results suggest that diets containing 0.5% and 1% DOP may beneficially affect antioxidant enzyme activity of GPx and SOD, improve meat cooking loss, and reduce TBARS values in breast meat at 5 d of storage in ducks.

        해양플랜트 HVAC 시스템용 플레이트․쉘 타입 증발기에 관한 연구

        Chiller systems which have better temperature stability than Direction expansion coils are often used as condensing units in HVAC systems for offshore plants. Large capacity compressors and electronic expansion valves in chiller systems are mostly imported, and the size of a chiller system depends on heat exchangers such as evaporators and condensers which are locally produced. Due to limited space in the offshore plants, shipyards are demanding manufacturers to make equipment compact. In this paper, a shell & tube heat exchanger, which is used as an evaporator in the conventional flooded chiller system, is replaced by a newly developed compact plate & shell heat exchanger. The main development process of the plate & shell heat exchanger is introduced, and its performances were experimentally evaluated with a real flooded chiller system, and the results are presented. 해양플랜트용 HVAC(Heating Ventilation and Air-Conditioning) 시스템의 컨덴싱 유닛(condensing unit)의 경우, DX(Direct Expansion) 코일보다는 온도 안정성이 뛰어난 칠러 시스템(chiller system)을 주로 사용하고 있다. 칠러시스템의 구성품 중 대형 냉매압축기와 전자식 팽창밸브 등은 대부분 수입되고 있다. 이에 칠러 시스템의 크기는국내에서 제작되는 열교환기(증발기, 응축기)에 의해 좌우된다. 현재 갈수록 심화되고 있는 사용공간의 제한으로인해 선주사 및 조선소에서는 장비 크기를 컴팩트하게 해줄 것을 메이커에 지속적으로 요구하고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 해양플랜트에서 만액식(flooded) 칠러 시스템의 증발기로 주로 사용되고 있는 쉘-튜브형 열교환기를 컴팩트한 플레이트-쉘 열교환기로 대체하기 위한 주요개발과정을 소개하고, 이와 함께 개발된 플레이트-쉘 열교환기를실제 증발기로 적용한 만액식 칠러 시스템을 제작하여 그 성능을 실험적으로 평가하였으며 그 결과를 제공하고자한다.

        판형 열교환기 크기에 따른 전열성능 비교에 관한 연구

        The early development and use of plate heat exchangers (PHE) were in response to stringent statutory requirements from dairy products in the late 19th century, but PHEs were not exploited commercially until the 1920s. Since then, although the basic concept of PHEs has changed little, its design and construction have progressed significantly to accommodate higher temperatures and pressures, as well as large heat exchanging capacities. The development of current chevron-type corrugated heat plates has been ongoing since the oil shock in the 1970s to improve energy efficiency. The development trend of PHEs is consistent with the development of larger heat plates with better thermal efficiency, lower pressure drop, and good flow distribution. In this study, the thermal performance of small heat plates (PHE-S) and large heat plates (PHE-L) with the same plate depth and corrugation pitch were analyzed experimentally for each channel (H, M, and L type) to suggest development directions of heat plates. The test results showed that for the convectional heat transfer coefficient, the PHE-S was on average, 16.5% higher in the H type, 25% higher in the M type, and 40% higher in the L type than PHE-L. In the case of the pressure drop, the PHE-S was 19% higher in the H type, 46% higher in the M type, and 61% higher in the L type than PHE-L. These results were attributed to the differences in fluid distribution areas between the PHE-S and PHE-L, among other potential causes. 판형 열교환기의 초기 개발 및 사용은 19세기 후반 유제품 내 존재하던 각종 바이러스의 살균에 대한 엄격한 법규 대응을 위해 시작되었고, 1920년대가 되어서야 본격적으로 상업화되었다. 이후 판형 열교환기의 기본 컨셉은 지금까지도 거의 변화가 없었지만, 고온, 고압 그리고 대용량 열교환에 적용되기 위해 설계 및 제작 방법들이 혁신적으로 발전하여 지금에 이르게 되었다. 현재의 형태와 같은 쉐브론 타입 주름 전열판의 개발은 1970년대 후반 오일 쇼크 이후 에너지 합리화 및 에너지 효율 향상을 위한 요구들이 강하게 제기되면서 시작되어 지금에 이르고 있다. 판형 열교환기의 개발 트렌드는 전열 효율이 좋으면서 압력강하가 낮고 또한 유체 분배가 잘되는 대형 전열판의 개발과 일치한다. 본 논문에서는 전열판 개발방향을 제시하고자 동일 골깊이와 주름피치를 가진 소형 전열판과 대형 전열판의 열성능을 각 채널(H, M, L type)별로 실험적으로 비교, 분석하였다. 실험결과, 대류열전달계수의 경우, 소형 전열판이 대형 전열판에 비해 H type의 경우 평균 16.5%, M type의 경우 25%, 그리고 L type의 경우 약 40% 정도 더 높았다. 압력강하의 경우는 소형 전열판이 H type의 경우 평균 19%, M type의 경우 46%, 그리고 L type의 경우 약 61% 정도 더 높은 것을 알 수 있었다. 이는 여러 예상되는 요인들 중 두 전열판의 유체분배부 차이에 의한 것으로 판단되었다.

        AgNWs/Ga-doped ZnO 복합전극 적용 CdSe양자점 기반 투명발광소자

        The silver nanowires (AgNWs) were synthesized by the conventional polyol process, which revealed 25 ㎛ and 30 nm of average length and diameter, respectively. The synthesized AgNWs were applied to the CdSe/CdZnS quantum dot (QD) based transparent light-emitting device (LED). The device using a randomly networked AgNWs electrode had some problems such as the high threshold voltage (for operating the device) due to the random pores from the networked AgNWs. As a method of improvement, a composite electrode was formed by overlaying the ZnO:Ga on the AgNWs network. The device used the composite electrode revealed a low threshold voltage (4.4 Vth) and high current density compared to the AgNWs only electrode device. The brightness and current density of the device using composite electrode were 55.57 cd/㎡ and 41.54 mA/㎠ at the operating voltage of 12.8 V, respectively, while the brightness and current density of the device using (single) AgNWs only were 1.71 cd/㎡ and 2.05 mA/㎠ at the same operating voltage. The transmittance of the device revealed 65 % in a range of visible light. Besides the reliability of the devices was confirmed that the device using the composite electrode revealed 2 times longer lifetime than that of the AgNWs only electrode device.
