Vol.18 No.4
Background: Thymopentin(TP-5) is an immunomodulatory agent which may be a promising new drug in the treatment of patients with severe atopic dermatitis. Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of thymopentin for treatment of severe atopic dermatitis. Material and Method: Fifteen patients with severe atopic dermatitis received subcutaneous injections of 50mg thymopentin three times per week for 6 weeks. Clinical extent and severity parameters were assessed at baseline, at regular intervals during therapy and 4 weeks posttherapy. Use of antihistamine and topical steroid were permitted. Result: Significant reduction in severity scores and body surface area involvement was ob- served and no significant side effects were noted(p$lt;0.05). Conclusion : Thymopentin may be considered to be an effective adjunctive therapeutic agent in the treatment of severe atopic dermatitis. Further studies will be needed to determine the action mechanism of thymopentin.
A Vol.48 No.2
결과로, 최적 재료 상수는 A: 526.7(MPa), B: 300.5(MPa), C: 11.09, D: 0.092, E: 0.001, m: 1.117로 산출되었다. This study aims to obtain cutting forces (principal cutting force and radial force) according to the conditions via calibrating material constant equations using local optimization based on the automation of cutting simulation. For this, MATLAB and a two-dimensional cutting simulation (that is, AdvantEdge) were linked to perform material constant (that is, A, B, C, D, E, and m) calibration of the Shin-Kim (S-K) constitutive equation that minimizes the cutting force relative error. Local optimization was performed on MATLAB, and the optimization objective function was set as the sum of the relative errors between numerical and experimental cutting forces. The weights for the sum of the relative errors for each cutting force were set to 80% and 20%. Consequently, the optimal material constants were A: 526.7 (MPa), B: 300.5 (MPa), C: 11.09, D: 0.092, E: 0.001, and m: 1.117. The relative errors were 1.50% and 0.20%, and the objective function was 1.24%.
