Objectives : This open prospective study was performed in order to evaluate the efficacy and extrapyramidal adverse effects of nemonapride in the schizophrenic patients, and was compared wit one of typical antipshchotics. haloperidol and one of atypical antipsychotics, risperidone. Methods : Thirty male and female schizophrenic patients(DSM-Ⅳ) were treated for 12 weeks with haloperidol(n=10), risperidone(n=10) and nemonapride(n=10). The overall efficacy was assessed at baseline, 1st week, 2nd week, 4th week, 8th week, and 12th week by the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale for Schizophrenia(PANSS). Also the overall safety was assessed in the same time period by the Extrapyramidal Symptom Rating Scale(ESRS). Results : There were no significant differences in PANSS scores(total, positive, negative, and general psychopathology subscale) among haloperidol, risperidone, and nemonapride groups, Treatment responders, defined as at least 20% reduction of baseline total PANSS score, were achieved by 8 patients(80%) in haloperidol group, 10 patients(100%) in risperidone group, and 8 patients(80%) in nemonapride group. And there were no significant differences in ESRS total scores among haloperidol, risperidone, and nemonapride group. Inter-group comparison among haloperidol, risperidone and nemonapride group, as assessed by the ESRS, revealed no significant differences in the shifts to the maximum score, 9.4(±9.4), 6.2(±8.4), and 11.3(±8.1) respectively, and also revealed no significant differences in the mean time reaching the maximum score, 4.5(±4.5) week, 7.8(±4.8) week, and 4.6(±4.4) week, respectivily. Conclusion : There wee no significant differences in the efficacy and extrapyramidal adverse effects among haloperidal, rispecridone and nemonapride groups. These results suggest that nemonapride was as efficacious and safe in he treatment of schizophrenia, as well known and widely used antipsychotics, haloperidol and risperidone.
내용기반 이미지 검색 시스템에 대한 고찰과 설계 요건에 대한 연구

멀티미디어 데이터베이스의 내용기반 검색은 색인 기술을 요구한다. 전통적인 데이터베이스와는 달리 데이터 항목은 기본이 되는 데이터 타입들의 속성의 집합으로 나타내어지는데, 멀티미디어 데이터베이스에 있는 멀티미디어 객체는 특징들의 수집에 의해 표현되고, 객체 내용의 유사성은 문맥과 참조의 프레임에 의존하며, 객체의 특징은 다중양식 특징 측정에 의해 특성화된다. 내용기반 이미지 검색을 단계별로 3가지 큰 작업으로 나누어 보면 해당 이미지를 가장 정확하게 특징들을 추출하는 단계와 그 추출된 특징을 효과적이고 능률적으로 저장, 검색을 지원하는 단계와 다시 이미지의 유사성을 검출해 내는 단계로 요약된다. 본 논문에서는 기존에 연구된 이미지 특징 추출들을 연구 분석하고 이미지 내용 기반 검색에 적합한 다양한 특징 추출과 유사도 검색에서의 문제점과 이에 대한 적합한 설계요건에 대해 제시한다. Content-based retrieval of multimedia database calls for content-based indexing techniques. Different from conventional databases, where data items are represented by a set of attributes of elementary data types, multimedia objects in multimedia databases are represented by a collection of features; similarity of object contents depends on context ad frame of reference; and features of objects are characterized by multimodal feature measures. Try to divide content-based images retrieval systems into three large operation, it is consist of the following three phases; extracting features that can represent images the most exactly, storing the extracted features effectively and efficiently and support retrieval, detect similarity of images. In this paper we first investigated and analyse the existing image feature extraction methods and various features extraction that adequate for content-based image retrieval and problem of similarity retrieval, we also present design of suitable demand.

A 7 years old intact male Maltese dog with masses on the neck region, intraabdominal and popliteal region was referred to the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital of Chungnam National University. Neck and popliteal masses were symmetrical. Right neck mass size was 4 cm in width, 3 cm in length and 3 cm in height and left neck mass size was 3.5 cm in width, 3 cm in length and 3 cm in height. This case was diagnosed as the multicentric lymphoma by physical examination, laboratory examination, radiography, ultrasonography, CT, fine needle aspiration and histopathologic examination. The dog followed by treatment with L-CHOP protocol. The dog revealed that complete remission duration(CRD), first remission duration(FRD), second remission duration(SRD) and survival time was 7days, 115days, 99days and 214days, respectively.
Aspergillus flavus에 의한 Versicolorin C의 생합성

Potato dextrose agar상에 배양. 보관중인 Aspergillus flavus 를 Reddy's synthetic high -salts medium에 배양하고 균체로 부터 효소를 추출 분리한다음, ³H-Versicolorin A로 부터 화학 반을을거쳐 합성한 ³H-Versicolorin A hemiacetal을 기질로 하여 invitro 효소 반응을 시켰다.효소반응 결과 얻어진 반응생성 물질을 Thin layer Chromatography법으로 분리하고 표준화합물을 이용하여 비교동정하는 한편, 각 반응산물의 radiochromatogram를 작성하고, 추출. 분리한 화합물의 mass spctrometry 분석 결과, mass No 297,311,325,340에서 Peak를 가지는 Versicolorin의 존재를 확인. 동정할 수 있었다. 균체의 효소반응 실험결과, 조효소 무첨가구에서 (대조구에서)9.2%, NADH첨가구에서 10.3%,NADH첨가구에서 13.4%로 Versicolorin A hemiacetal이 Versicolorin C로 전환하는 것을 알 수 있어,NADPH가 이 환원반응을 촉진하는 reductase의 조효소작용에 관여함을 추정할 수 있었다. 따라서 포화 ammonium sulfate 용액으로 침전시켜 DEAE.Tris acryl M column chromatography에 의하여 정제, 분리한 효소 versicolorin A hemiacetal reductase의 spectrophotometric assay 결과에서도 NADH첨가구의 경우,2.67nmole/min의 효소 활성도를 관찰할 수 있어 Aspergillus flavus에 의한 versicolorin C의 생합성 기작을 확인할 수 있었다. Versicolorin A hemiacetal was converted to versicolorin Cin crude extracts and purified preparations from Aspergillus flavus. NADPH was required in the cell-free system. The rate of VAOH-dependent oxidation of NADPH was 0.43 mole/min/mg.protein. The substrate wa reduced in the cell-free system to a polar compound, proposed to be the open chain form. The polar compound was converted to the final product, versicolorin C.
구간 분할 제어를 이용한 형상기억합금 와이어의 온도제어에 관한 연구

The key technology of robot is the design of the actuator. Particularly breakthroughs of power-to-weight ratio or energy-density III actuator technology have significant impacts upon the design and the control of robotic systems. To realize the anthropomorphic motion, artificial muscles such as shape memory alloy(SMA) and electro active polymer(EAP) are used. These actuators have the higher energy density than the electromechanical actuators such as the electric motor. The EAP has the property of good elasticity, but it is difficult to get the required power. The SMA has the good power density and simple structure, but the control scheme of the actuator is difficult. In this paper, temperature control of SMA wire using segment control is studied. The SMA wire is segmented by thermo-electric module(TEM). To supply constant currents in TEMs, MOSFET is used. Hysteresis in one segment of SMA wire is evaluated. The force and displacement of SMA wire are measured according to the number of segment. The program to control the temperature of TEM is developed by using LabVIEW software.

An eleven year old castrated male Maltese was presented to the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital of Chungnam National University. In physical examination, approximately 0.5 cm round mass was observed on tail base. This small elevated mass has also shown alopecic and firm configuration. It was differentially diagnosed as sebaceous adenoma and hyperplasia by fine needle aspiration. After surgical removal, the sample was diagnosed as sebaceous hyperplasia by histopathological examination. It has not yet shown any signs of recurrence and prognosis has teen good.
