Acinar cell carcinoma is a rare tumor that represents 1~2% of al1 pancreatic cancers. Clinical and radiologic findings are inconclusive in this disease Acinar cell carcinoma is characterized by rapid progression and early metastasis, which lead to its poor prognosis. A 41-year-o1d man was admitted to our hospital for abdominal pain. Abdominal computed tomography (CT) and positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET-CT) showed a splenic mass, which was being invaded by a pancreatic tail mass and which had increased ^(18)F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) uptake Primary radical distal pancreatectomy and splenectomy were performed. Pathologic findings revealed an acinar cell carcinoma of the Pancreas The patient underwent a total gastrectomy three months later because of gastric recurrence Four months later, multiple hepatic metastases were discovered, and the patient underwent a left hepatectomy During treatment with capecitabine, there was no evidence of tumor progression for 14 months. We report a case of metastatic pancreatic acinar cell carcinoma, which did not progress for an extended period while the patient was being treated with capecitabme.

This study was designed to exam the aged's needs for spiritual nursing care. The purpose was to serve as a basis for the development of spiritual nursing practice. The major findings are as follows : 1. The degree of needs for spiritual nursing care as area was that needs of love and relationship mean 22.0, needs of meaning and object mean 28.2, needs of forgiving mean 13.5. Total needs for spiritual nursing care mean 63.7, which was on the upper middle level. The needs of meaning and object was rated highest. 2. Among the general characteristics of the subjects, needs of love and relatiohship wasn't significanlty different. 3. Among the general characteristics of the subjects, needs of meaning and object was significantly different according to two factors : age(F=7.260, p=0.001), religion(F=5.275, p=0.001). Higher needs of meaning and object was possessed by the older than the younger, by the one who have religion than the other. 4. Among the general characteristics of the subjects, four factors made a significantly difference to needs of forgiving : sex(t=-2.851, p=0.006), age(F=8.201, p=0.001), religion(F=6.928, p=0.000), disease(t=2.327, p=0.024). Higher needs of forgiving was possessed by man than woman, by the older than the younger, by the one who have religion than the other, by the one who have disease than the other.

Primary retroperitoneal mucinous cystadenocarcinoma is a very rare malignancy, and little is known concerning its Pathogenesis, optimal treatment, and prognosis. A 29-year-o1d pregnant woman (21 weeks) Presented with abdominal discomfort CA 19-9, CA 125, and CEA were normal Abdominal CT scanning revealed a 19x15x13 cm retropentoneal tumor Exploratory laparotomy and tumor excision were performed. Mucinous retropentoneal implants were removed as completely as possible Histologically, the tumor showed focal areas of capsular invasion, but free resection margins The uterus and both ovaries were normal in appearance No adjuvant therapy was pursued. Six months later, Peritoneal and bilateral ovarian metastases were discovered. Hence, we report the details of this case of primary retroperitoneal mucinous Cystadeno-carcinoma and present a review of the literature.

When we intend to do the personal identification using DNA profiles, it will obviously be better to use as much information as possible. The power of identification is increased by using the genetic marker system such as VNTRs or STRs. Although STRs do not have many alleles per locus as VNTRs, these can be compensated by a large number of loci that are potentially usable. However, it will be more efficient to use a morphic loci. Therefore, prior to choose the genetic marker system of STRs for identification, it is essential to consider the statistical parameters of each STR locus, such as obs-H(observed heterozygosity), exp-H(expected heterozygosity), pM(probability of match), DI(discrimination index), PD(power of discrimination), MEC(mean exclusion chance), MEP(mean exclusion paternity), PIC(polymorphic information content) et al. In this article, we described the exact meaning of statistical parameters for the purpose of identification.

8.3% Carbamide Peroxide 함유 펜 형 자가미백제인 BIancTis Forte의 색조개선 및 안전성에 관한 임상연구

This clinical study evaluated the whitening effect and safety of polymer based-pen type BlancTis Forte(NIBEC) containing 8.3% carbamide peroxide. Twenty volunteers used the BlancTis Forte whitening agent for 2 hours twice a day for 4 weeks As a control. Whitening Effect Pen (LG) containing 3% hydrogen peroxide was used by 20 volunteers using the same protocol. The change in shade (ΔE^(*) color difference) was measured using Shadepilot™ (DeguDent) before, during and after bleaching (2 weeks, 4 weeks and postbleaching 4 weeks). A clinical examination for any side effects (tooth hypersensitivity or soft tissue complications) was also performed at each check-up. The following results were obtained. 1 Both the experimental and control groups displayed a noticeable change in shade (ΔE) of over 2 No significant differences were found between the two group (p>0.05) implying that the two agents have a similar whitening effect. 2 The whitening effect was mainly due to changes in a and b values rather than in L value (brightness). The experimental group showed a significantly higher change in b value thus yellow shade than the control(p < 0.05) 3 None of the participants complained of tooth hypersensitivity or soft tissue complications confirming the safety of both whitening agents 8.3%의 carbamide peroxide를 함유한 펜형 코팅용 미백제인 BlancTis Forte (NIBEC, Seosul & JinCheon)를 실험군으로, 3% hydrogen peroxide를 함유한글 Whitening Effect Pen (LG. Seoul) 제재를 대조군으로 각각 피험자 20명에게 2시간씩 1일 2회 제조사의 지시대로 치아표면에 4주간 적용하도록 지시하고 색조개선 효능과 안전성을 평가하였다. 미백 효과는 미백 전 및 미백 2주, 4주 및 미백 종료 4주 후에 Shadopilot™을 이용하여 색 변화를 측정하였고, 매 내원시기마다 모든 환자는 치수생활력 검사와 치주 및 치태 검사를 통해 부작용 여부 (치아과민증 및 구감 내 연조직의 부작용)를 기록한 후 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1.실험군 및 대조군의 색 변화량 (ΔE)은 2이상으로 인지할 수 있는 색 변화를 보였으며, 두 제품 간에는 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보이지 않아 (p > 0.05) 유사한 미백효능을 나타냄을 알 수 있었다. 2,미백효과는 명도의 개선보다는 주로 a. b값의 변화에 의한 것으로 특히 실험군에서 b값의 변화, 즉 황색조의 개선효과가 대조군에 비해 유의성 있게 높은 것으로 나타났다 (p <0.05). 3.치아나 치은의 과민증이나 이상증상을 호소하는 피험자는 없어 두 제품 모두 안전성을 확인할 수 있었다.

After Dongnae Fortress, the fortress established to guard the frontier from Japan’s invasion, lost its original function under the rule of Japanese imperialism, some parts of it which live at the present age have recently converted into a place of new functions, that is, a place giving a chance for citizens to experience history and culture and contributing to their relaxation and emotional development. The purpose of this study is to examine the potential variables that can affect future changes of Dongnae Fortress and to offer basic materials for the right direction establishment of the conservation of it by understanding the conservation process of the historical environment of Dongnae Fortress. The result of the frequency analysis on the number of newspaper articles dealing with Dongnae Fortress during 1990~2007, when the cultural properties of Dongnae Fortress were made the most use, showed that the recognition degree of Dongnae Fortress is tending upwards, especially since 2003 it has sharply been rising. The result of classification of the articles based on the subjects showed that the public administrational acts related to Dongnae Fortress had a great effect on the newspaper articles, accounting for 33% followed by the utilization 23%, the scholarship 21%, the others 14% and the management 9%. This study has a significant meaning in examining the change process of Dongnae Fortress shown in news reports focused on after the independence of Korea and during 1990~2007 period, and ultimately offering basic data for the right direction establishment of the conservation of Dongnae Fortress.

부모의 아동기 애착이 양육행동에 미치는 영향

The relationship between child and parent rives deep effect during the entire life of human being not only the childhood but the adulthood as well and the importance of parent's caring behavior with the attachment of parent-children are so huge. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of parental childhood attachment on parental caring behavior. This study would provide some useful information about parent's caring behavior by mentioning the importance of continuity between generation's caring behavior and the childhood attachment. The subjects were 312 fathers and 326 mothers of pre-school children in Seoul and Ky ngki Province. The instruments used for this study were the Adult Attachment Scale developed by Hazan & Shaver(1992) and the Maternal Caring Behavior Scale which was Proposed by Park, Sung Yeon and Lee, Sook(1990). The data were analyzed with multiple repression. Cronbach's α was computed for the reliabilities of the scales. The results of this study were as follows : First, father's attachment to both of his parents has the effect of reasoning guidance, affect, achievement, active involvement among the variables in the set of parent's caring behavior. Father's attachment to his fore-fathers has the effect of authoritarian control, limit setting. Second, in case of mother's attachment to both of her parents has the effect of affect among the variables in the set of parent's caring behavior. Mother's attachment to her fore-fathers has the effect of reasoning guidance, achievement, active involvement. limit setting. Mother's attachment to her fore-mothers has the effect of authoritarian control.

Politeness Theory에 기초한 노-한 번역의 실례 분석

This paper purports to analyze the problem of communication based on the politeness theory and apply as well as analyze this theory to Russian-Korean translation. It is assumed that as people use language to communicate with others, how individuals relate to others is one of the most important factors that decide the direction and manner of communication. In the politeness theory, to be either polite or impolite does not only involve one's manner of communication, but also a complex social interaction process between a speaker and a listener in a particular communication situation. This paper will first recap the theoretical view of Brown & Levinson (1987), then analyze representative expressions and phrases identified in a Russian drama, deemed reflective of different social relationships of characters, and finally compare the expressions with corresponding Korean translation. It will be emphasized that the translator, as an intermediary in intercultural communication act, should fully understand the differences between source and target languages in expressing various social relationships.
