        천문동(天門冬)이 항암(抗癌) 및 면역세포(免疫細胞)에 미치는 영향(影響)

        동의학(東醫學)에서는 질병의 발생에 대하여 정기(正氣)의 강약(强弱)에 그 관건(關鍵)이 있다하였다. 그리하여 모든 질병의 치료에 있어서도 정기(正氣)의 회복에 중점을 두는 부정법(扶正法)이나 거사법(祛邪法)을 사용하면서도 정기(正氣)에 손상(損傷)을 입히지 않도록 많은 관심을 기우리고 있다. 암(癌)의 치료 또한 정기(正氣)가 얼마만큼 보충되는가에 따라 항병능력(抗病能力)이 항진(亢進)된다할 수 있을 것이다. 현재 국내외적(國內外的)으로 악성종양(惡性腫瘍)을 치료하기 위하여 다방면으로 연구를 하고 있으며, 또한 실제로 사용하고 있는 치료방법들로는 수술요법(手術療法) 방사선요법(放射線療法) 면역료법(免疫療法) 화학요법(化學療法)등이 있지만 아직까지는 미흡한 상태라 할 수 있을 것이다. 현재 일반적으로 항암제(抗癌劑)를 이용한 화학요법(化學療法) 등이 사용되고 있고, 면역료법(免疫療法)을 위한 많은 방법들이 연구되고 있어 본 저자(著者)들은 천문동(天門冬)이 면역세포(免疫細胞)의 증식(增殖)을 촉진시켜주면서 항암작용(抗癌作用)이 있을 것으로 사료(思料)되는 바 피부암세포(皮膚癌細胞)인 A431 cell line과 골수암세포(骨髓癌細胞)인 KHOS-NP cell line에 천문동(天門冬)을 투여(投與)하여 암세포(癌細胞)의 증식(增殖)을 살펴보고, 면역세포(免疫細胞)인 T cell과 B cell의 증식(增殖)을 살펴보았다. 또한 복강내(腹腔內) macrophage에서 분비되는 NO의 양(量)을 In vitro와 In vivo실험(實驗)을 통하여 살펴보았고, T cell의 apoptosis 및 subpopulation의 양(量)을 관찰하였다. 이 결과(結果) 천문동(天門冬)은 A431 cell 및 KHOS-NP cell에 항암작용(抗癌作用)을 보였고, T-cell의 증식(增殖)을 촉진시켰으며, 마우스 복강내(腹腔內) macrophage에서 분비(分泌)되는 NO의 양(量)을 감소시켜고, T cell의 apoptosis에 있어서는 대조군(對照群)에 비하여 유의성(有意性)있게 증가(增加)시켰으며, subpopulation에서는 $T_H$ cell을 증가(增加)시켰다. 그리하여 천문동(天門冬)은 항암작용(抗癌作用) 뿐만아니라 면역세포(免疫細胞)의 증식(增殖)에도 관여하는 약물(藥物)로 인정(認定)할 수 있을 것으로 사료(思料)된다. To investigate effect of water extract of Asparagi Tuber(天門冬) on human cancer cell-lines and immunocytes, this research estimated proliferation of A431 cell line, KHOS-NP cell line, mouse thymocytes and mouse splenocytes, Nitric Oxide(NO) from macrophage, apoptosis and subpopulation of the mouse thymocytes. The result were obtained as follows ; 1. Asparagi Tuber inhibited the proliferation of A431 cell line. 2. Asparagi Tuber inhibited the proliferation of KHOS-NP cell line. 3. Asparagi Tuber accelerated the proliferation of mouse thymocytes. 4. Asparagi Tuber inhibited the proliferation of mouse splenocytes. 5. Asparagi Tuber $100{\mu}g/m{\ell}$ inhibited the production of NO from macrophages in vitro, being compared NPS+IFN treated group. 6. Asparagi Tuber inhibited the production of NO from macrophages in vivo, being compared LPS+IFN treated group. 7. Asparagi Tuber accelerated the induction of apoptosis of the mouse thymocytes. 8. In subpopulation Asparagi Tuber increased $T_H$ of the mouse thymocytes, but decreased $T_C/T_S$ of the mouse thymocytes.

        Ultrasonication processed Panax ginseng berry extract induces apoptosis through an intrinsic apoptosis pathway in HepG2 cells

        Ginseng’s major active components, ginsenosides,have been known to show anti-cancer, neuroprotective,and anti-inflammatory activities. Ultrasonicationprocessed Panax ginseng berry extract (UGB) containsvarious ginsenosides. The components are different fromPanax ginseng berry extract (GBE). This study was aimedto investigate the cytotoxic mechanism of UGB in HepG2cells, human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line. HepG2cells were treated with UGB (0, 10, 20 lg/ml). Cell growthand cellular apoptosis were evaluated by MTT assay andAnnexin V/Pi staining, respectively. Intracellular Reactiveoxygen species (ROS) levels were also determined by 20,70-dichlorofluorescin diacetate (DCFDA) staining. Theexpressions of Bax, Bcl-2 and caspase-3, the apoptoticmarkers, were evaluated by Western Blot. UGB dose-dependentlyinhibited cell growth and induced apoptotic celldeath. Intracellular ROS levels were increased. UGBincreased the expression of the cleaved form of caspase-3. Furthermore, UGB induced apoptosis of HepG2 cellsthrough Bax activation and Bcl-2 inhibition. In conclusion,UGB induced apoptosis through an intrinsic pathway inHepG2 cells suggesting that UGB might play a role as anovel substance for anti-cancer effect.

        마늘 및 양파 주산지 농업생산기반시설의 취약성 분석 - 전라도, 경상도를 중심으로 -

        In recent years, the proportion of arable land in the nation has grown from 36.2 percent in 1990 to 43.7 percent in 2013. The study first performed the vulnerability assessment of agricultural production, transportation, processing facilities, agricultural machinery leasing facilities, and water supply facilities. It was developed for the evaluation of the vulnerability of each gun of garlic and onions based on the distance from the three groups of arable bodies to the facility and the processing capacity of facilities. In view of these regional imbalances, the store, distribution and processing facilities in the main stream were found in Haenam, South Jeolla-do, and the relatively low regions of the gun were located in Goheung-gun and Hampyeong-gun. Among other regions, agricultural machinery rental facilities were high in Changnyeong-gun, Haenam, and two regions, while the water supply facilities were high in the southern area of Haenam and South Jeolla-do. The Gyeongsang-do showed relatively high levels of comparison vulnerability index compared to Jeolla-do regions. In particular, through the management plan to improve the facilities needed to improve agricultural production infrastructure, it is necessary to increase the competitiveness of agricultural productuivity through the planning of the need for additional support through the rural readjustment project.

        농업 생산기반 능력 및 재배여건을 이용한 고랭지 작물 주산지의 생산역량 분석

        Recently, the cultivated area is reduced, the ratio of upland-field in the total cultivated area is increasing relative appeared in 36.2% in 1990 from 43.7% in 2013. If upland-field can be applied well designed-infrastructure, good income crop production is possible, however, maintenance of infrastructure and a significant portion of the upland-field is maintained under insufficient infrastructure. While imports of agricultural products expanded since the 2000s in progress, looking at the self-sufficiency of upland-field crops, it is reduced to from 90% to 42% for the pepper, it is from 90% to 74% for the garlic, cereals is reduced from 42% by 26%. As a result of these conditions, the competitiveness of farmers has weakened, the risk to meet the challenges of this area of production and supply reduction increased. This study was the first to conduct a basic evaluation index, data analysis and evaluation of indicators to diagnose the agricultural production capacity of the upland field. 12 kinds classified index of producing conditions from the natural environment and eight factors for the cultivation and production capabilities have developed for the assessment of productivity of upland-field (especially Kimchi cabbage). Through this regional imbalance was found, based on the production capabilities conditions are good in Haenam, Gangneung, Pyeongchang. 3 Regions have been low and the lowest Youngwol to 0.8992. Climate(Cultivation conditions) indicators of Mungyeong region is the highest, relatively low areas were in Taebaek. In particular, it is determined to be preferred that the area required for the enhancing the production environment based on providing the convenience for the producing and maintenance of the first production area. It is necessary Increasing part of mechanization, agro-industrial competitiveness through aggressive management plans for facilities as required in the process of post-harvest storage, processing, distribution line can be improved.

        Bioactive Content of Salvia plebeia R. Br. Enhanced by Pre-Harvest Exposure to Low Temperatures in a Closed-type Plant Production System

        The study aim here is to discover a short-term low-temperature method before harvest that can increase the bioactive content of Salvia plebeia R. Br. grown in a closed-type plant production system (CPPS) while maintaining the marketable quality of this herb. Salvia plebeia R. Br. was cultivated for 36 d in a CPPS with a deep floating technique and a recycling system. Low- temperature treatments (15°C) were applied for 1, 3, 5, 10, and 15 days prior to harvest (D1, D3, D5, D10, and D15). The fresh weights of the roots did not differ significantly among the low-temperature treatments. However, the leaf length, leaf width, leaf shape index and fresh and dry weights of the shoots decreased in D5, D10, and D15. The chlorophyll fluorescence decreased for up to three days of the low-temperature treatment and then increased after five days at the low temperature. The total phenolic and flavonoid contents were highest in D3. The findings here suggest that in order to increase the content of bioactive compounds without decreasing the growth of Salvia plebeia R. Br, exposing the plants to low temperatures three days before harvest is a viable strategy.

        특수교육 대상학생의 교육성과 구성 영역과 측정 요소 탐색

        본 연구는 특수교육 대상학생의 교육성과를 효과적으로 측정하기 위한 토대를 마련하기 위해 특수교육 대상학생의 교육성과 구성 영역과 측정 요소를 탐색하는 데 그 목적을 두었다. 본 연구는 연구문제를 해결하기 위하여 문헌연구를 실시하였고 삶의 질의 개념을 도입하여 특수교육 대상학생의 교육성과 구성 영역과 측정 요소를 탐색하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교육성과에 대한 관점과 삶의 질의 개념을 통합한 특수교육 대상학생의 교육성과 구성 영역은 교육학적 관점에서 개인적 발달, 신체적 안녕, 정서적 안녕, 사회학적 관점에서 권리, 사회적 통합, 대인관계, 경제학적 관점에서 물질적 안녕, 자기 결정으로 구성됨을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 특수교육 대상학생 교육성과 측정 요소와 삶의 질 구성요소와의 일치성에 대해 살펴본 결과, IDEA의 목표 및 특수교육 대상학생의 교육성과 측정 요소와 삶의 질 구성요소가 상호 연관성을 가지고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

        Growth retardation and photosynthetic responses of Watermelon plug seedlings exposed to wind stimulation

        Plants subjected to mechanical stimulation respond by undergoing morphological changes (thigmomorphogenesis). Wind is an environmental factor that induces mechanical stimulation of plants, aff ecting their growth and photosynthetic responses depending on its speed. In this study, we evaluated the eff ects of wind stimulation on watermelon seedlings in terms of wind speed, stimulation time, and application timing. We found that wind stimulation decreases the growth of watermelon seedlings, mainly suppressing their height. Among diff erent wind treatments, the dwarf rate was the highest in the treat- ment performed at a wind speed of 4 m‧s −1 for 10 h per day. Compactness was the highest in the control treatment with diniconazole, and it increased with increasing exposure to diff erent wind treatments. Low wind speeds, such as 1 m‧s−1 ncreased the photosynthesis rate and water-use effi ciency of the exposed seedlings; however, wind speed of 4 m‧s−1 decreased the photosynthesis rate. Moreover, wind stimulation increased transpiration in watermelon seedlings. Among diff erent plug seedling production stages, wind application after the grafting stage resulted in eff ective growth retardation of watermelon seedlings. After transplanting, wind stimulation at the plug seedling stage did not have a negative eff ect on watermelon growth. Thus, wind stimulation can be used as a potential growth retardant for suppressing plant height in watermelon seedlings.

        A Numerical Study of Different Types of Collimators for a High-Resolution Preclinical CdTe Pixelated Semiconductor SPECT System

        In single-photon-emission computed tomography (SPECT) with a pixelated semiconductor detector(PSD), not only pinhole collimators but also parallel-hole collimators are often used in preclinicalnuclear-medicine imaging systems. The purpose of this study was to evaluate and compare pinhole andparallel-hole collimators in a PSD. For that purpose, we paired a PID 350 (Ajat Oy Ltd., Finland) CdTePSD with each of the four collimators most frequently used in preclinical nuclear medicine: (1) a pinholecollimator, and (2) low-energy high-resolution (LEHR), (3) low-energy general-purpose (LEGP), and (4)low-energy high-sensitivity (LEHS) parallel-hole collimators. The sensitivity and spatial resolution of eachcollimator was evaluated using a point source and a hot-rod phantom. The highest sensitivity was achievedusing LEHS, followed by LEGP, LEHR, and pinhole. Also, at a source-to-collimator distance of 2 cm,the spatial resolution was 1.63, 2.05, 2.79, and 3.45 mm using pinhole, LEHR, LEGP, and LEHS,respectively. The reconstructed hot-rod phantom images showed that the pinhole collimator and the LEHRparallel-hole collimator give a fine spatial resolution for preclinical SPECT with PSD. In conclusion, wesuccessfully compared different types of collimators for a preclinical pixelated semiconductor SPECTsystem.
