        사람폐암세포주 (PC-14)에서 Cyclosporin A에 의한 Adriamycin 내성의 극복

        Cyclosporin A and verapamil were tested using MTT assay to evalute the modification effect on the resistance to adriamycin in a human lung cancer cell line(PC-14) and its resistant subline(PC-14/A). PC-14/A was derived by the continuous exposure of PC-14 to incremental concentrations of adriamycin. PC-14/A was 2.5 times more resistant to adriamycin in terms of ICso than PC-14. Cyclosporin A alone, at a concentration of 2.5㎍/㎖, inhibited the growth of PC-14 to 68.3%. 2.5㎍/ ㎖ and 5.0㎍/㎖ of cyclosporin A showed an increase in the cytotoxicity of adriamycin (p<0.01) with 5.0㎍/㎖ being greater than 2.5㎍/㎖(p<0.01). Excluding the direct cytotoxic effect, however, cyclosporin A did not increase in the sensitivity of PC-14 to adriamycin but only showed an additional cytotoxic effect with adriamycin. Verapamil (up to 6.0㎍/㎖) did not inhibit the growth of PC-14. 3.0㎍/㎖ of verapamil did not increase the cytotoxic effect of adriamycin. The combination of cyclosporin A and verapamil with adriamycin enhanced the cytotoxicity of adriamycin, but the result was similar to that of cyclosporin A with adriamycin. 5.0㎍/㎖ of cyclosporin A modified the adriamycin resistance of PC-14/A(SR, 3.2). However, 3.0㎍/㎖ of verapamil did not significantly reverse the adriamycin resistance of PC-14/A. The modified effect of the combination of 5.0㎍/㎖ of cyclosporin A and 3.0㎍/㎖ of verapamil was similar to that of 5.0㎍/㎖ of cyclosporin A alone in PC-14/A. These results demonstrate that cyclosporin A has an additional cytotoxic effect with adriamycin in PC-14 and PC-14/A and has overcome the acquired resistance to adriamycin in PC-14/A. They also suggest that cyclospoin A may have the therapeutic potential in the treatment of human lung cancer.

      • CDM과 ICD에 의한 루퍼시스템의 제어기 설계

        채널분해법(ICD)의 개념과 계수도법(CDM)을 이용하여 2 입력 2 출력 다변수 제어시스템을 설계하였다. 시스템을 2 개의 채널로 분해한 후, 우선 각 개별 채널에 대해서 계수도법(CDM)을 이용하여 분산제어기를 설계하고, 그 분산제어기가 포함된 각 채널에 대해서는 새로운 비간섭화 제어기를 제안하고 설계하였다. 제철공정중 열간압연공정의 루퍼시스템 모델에 대한 모의실험을 통하여, 계수도법과 새로운 비간섭화 제어기의 유용성을 입증하였다.

      • 農業物市場開放과 農業技術指導

        The purpose of this study is to discuss the technique guidance for the competition against overseas agricultural products. For the technique guidance, we described the substitution and sellection of the crop items with enable domestic farmers to survive against import liberalization, cost-reducing strategy, and the survive against import liberalization, cost-reducing strategy, and the efficient technique guidance system. For the study, we did literature review and direct interview using questionaries. For the interview, the area was confined to the Chonnam province which was subdivided into 4 categories, suburb, plains, mountains, and in-betweens. The survey was carried out during the period of August 1 through the end of August of 1990. Following are the summary of the annalysis. 1. Excess supply in the world agricultural markets is temporary phenomenon and we should attain the minimum self-support ratio for the emergency. 2. Most farmers show the pessimistic view on the future domestic agriculture because of international pressures on the import liberalization, labor shortage, low domestic agricultural product price, and low income. 3. On the question of the reason we are pressured from the abroad, the answers were the order of manufactured goods export, relatively weak national power, pressure of U.S.A, and failure in the domestic agricultural policy. 4. For the survival of the domestic agriculture, most farmers were answered in the following order by the importance, appropriate government plan, development of agriculture technology, and national consensus on the protection of domestic agriculture. 5. Farmers answered in the order of substitution of crop item, production of high quality goods, and cost reduction when they were asked to list by the impotance the way we can overcome the import liberlization of agriculture products. 6. The reason domestic agriculture is suffering from import liberlization is low productivity and weak price competitiveness. Thus trying to raise the productivity in agriculture and to develop the crop item which has the price competitiveness will be stepping stone for attacking the foreign pressures. 7. The improvement of breed is the major step to win the price competition by the way of technology development in the international market. 8. Highly educated persons are essential for the development of agricultural technology. Since educating and training the persons require much time, we should make an every effort to upbring the persons talented in research by way of cooperation between agricultural industry and university. 9. Recent abolishment of sub-offices of rural development in Up and Myun and its intergration to offices in Gun were timely movement and there should be further reinforcing measures. 10. To raise the efficiency of group training, more consideration should be given in forstering and strengthening the farmers study group. Not only groups Office of Rural Development is guiding but also all the groups in rural area who need to study the agricultural technology should be included in the system of technique guidance program.

        선천성 일측성 폐정맥 폐쇄증 1 예

        Unilateral pulmonary vein atresia is a rare congenital disease and is frequently associated with intracardiac anomalies. It is usually diagnosed in childhood and is very rarely diagnosed in adulthood. A case of unilateral pulmonary vein atresia in a 20-year old female is de- scribed. The relevant findings were symptoms of exertional dyspnea, roentgenographic evidence of decreased lung volume, increased interstitial infiltration with septal lines in the involved side (right), and aoscence of blood flow in a radionuclide perfusion scan. Pulmonary angiography showed an extremely small right pulmonary artery and thining of the peripheral branches, and nonvisualization of the draining pulmonary veins. Bronchial arteriography showed rommunication between the bronchial artery and the right pulmonary artery and it was drained to the left pulmonary artery. Cardiac catheterization showed no intracardiac anomaly. The right bronchography was normal; pulmonary function studies showed a pure restrictive pattern and markedly in creased physiologic dead space. MRI showed no visible right pulmonary vein.

        This study was to investigate the changes of heart rate VO_(2)max (ℓ/ min ) VO_(2)max ( ㎖ / min /kg) and O_(2) Pulse max (㎖/beat) according to gradual loading by bicycle ergometer and heart checker system. The subjects were 8 long distance runners Che- Ju National University whose physical characteristics and 5000m running records were similar to those of Japanease long distance runners. Gradual loading by bicycle ergometer until physical work capacity 170 beats/min the VO_(2) max (ℓ/ min) VO_(2)max(㎖/min/kg) and O_(2) puke max (㎖/beat) were decreasing tendency These results seem to the training effects on the long distance running program.

        아저해농도(亞沮害濃度)의 항균물질이 mutans streptococci의 세포표면성질과 독력인자에 미치는 영향

        아저해농도(亞沮害濃度)란 세포의 성장을 저해하는 최소 저해 농도(minimum inhibitory concentration; MIC)이하의 농도를 말하는데, 적용된 화학물질의 동력학에 따라 항균물질은 반드시 이러한 농도로 존재하는 시기를 거치게 되며, 아저해농도의 항균물질은 세포의 성장을 저해하지는 않지만 세균의 대사와 성장에 스트레스로 작용하게 되어 세포의 성질과 독력인자 발현에 영향을 줄 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구는 여러 항균물질의 최소저해농도를 결정하고 아저해농도의 항균물질이 존재 시 세포 성질과 독력 인자에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 치아우식증의 예방에 대한 화학적 접근법의 효용성을 조사하기 위해 계획되었다. 연구대상 세균으로는 mutans그룹 streptococci 중 두 가지 대표적인 세균종인 S. mutans (S. mutans Ingbritt)와 S. sobrinus (S. sobrinus 6715-7) 를 사용하였고 화학물질 8종 (Sanguinaria extract; SG, Chlorhexidine digluconate; CHX, Fluoride; F, Propolis; PP, Hydrogen peroxide; HP, Triclosan; TC, Sodium dodecyl sulfate; SDS, Cetylpyridinium chloride; CC) 을 단계 희석하여 배지에 첨가하여 최소저해농도를 구하였으며 아저해농도의 항균물질을 배지에 첨가하여 5% CO₂존재 하에 37℃에서 배양하여 이러한 항균물질을 첨가하지 않은 배지에서 배양한 세균과 성장속도, 산생성능, 체표소수성, 수산화인회석에의 부착능, glucan생성능, 세균응집능 등을 비교 관찰하였다. 아저해농도의 항균물질은 세포의 성장과 체표소수성, 타액 처리한 수산화인회석에 대한 세균의 부착과 glucan합성에 영향을 주는 것이 관찰되었다. 또한 12시간 배양 후 S. mutans와 S. sobrinus 모두에서 대조군에 비해 통계적으로 유의하게 최종 pH가 높게 나타나 산생성능이 억제되는 것이 관찰되었다 (p<0.05). 세균을 proteinase K로 전처리한 경우 처리하지 않았을 때 보다 세균응집역가가 증가하거나 응집이 관찰되지 않았다. 본 연구의 결과에 따르면 각각의 항균물질은 아저해농도에서도 알려진 작용기전과 유사하게 세균의 성질에 영향을 주었고 이러한 농도에서도 지속적으로 세균을 억제할 수 있었다. 따라서 이러한 항균물질의 사용은 치아우식증의 효과적 예방법의 하나가 될 수 있다. Subinhibitory concentrations (sub-MICs) refer to concentrations below minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs). The antimicrobial agents may be present at relatively high concentration, at least higher than bacterial MIC and thereafter be desorbed off a surface and function at sub-MICs, perhaps by interfering with bacterial metabolism. Consequently, the aim of this study was to determine the effects of growth, in the presence of sub-MICs of antimicrobial agents, on the cell surface properties and virulence factors of mutans streptococci and to investigate the efficacy of a chemical approach in vitro. Streptococcus mutans Ingbritt and Streptococcus sobrinus 6715-7 were used. Eight antimicrobial agents (Sanguinaria extract;SG, Chlorhexidine digluconate;CHX, Fluoride; F, Propolis;PP, Hydrogen peroxide;HP, Triclosan;TC, Sodium dodecyl sulfate;SDS, Cetylpyridinium chloride; CC) were diluted serially in broth to determine MICs and to compare the growth rate, acid production, hydrophobicity, adhesion activity to saliva coated hydroxyapatite, glucan synthesis and cellular aggregation of experiment groups (in the presence of sub-MICs) with those of control (in the absence of antimicrobial agents). Sub-MICs of antimicrobial agents affected the growth of cells, hydrophobicity, and adhesion of bacteria to saliva coated hydroxyapatite and glucan synthesis. They also resulted in a significant reduction in pH after 12 hours (p<0.05). By cells pretreated with proteinase K. either the aggregation induced by antimicrobial agents was completely inhibited or the aggregation titers were markedly increased. According to the results of the present study, each antimicrobial agent at sub-MICs could affect similar as its known action mechanism and could continually inhibit cariogenic bacteria a t such concentrations. Thus, the use of these antimicrobial agents would be one of the effective methods to prevent dental caries.

        Space Supervision을 이용한 치성 정중선 변위의 교정

        상하악 중절치 간의 정중선 변위는 골격성 변위,치성 변위 및 골격성과 치성의 복합적 변위 등으로 구분된다. 그 중 치성 정중선 변위는 치열의 발육시기에 따라 다양한 방법으로 치료 방법을 선택할 수 있다. 특히 혼합치열의 초기에는 치열 내에 존재하는 공간의 조건,인접 영구치의 맹출 시기 또는 맹출 방향에 따라 영구 절치들의 위치가 자발적으로 변화,개선될 수 있다. 따라서 이러한 치아의 생리적 이동을 이용하여 특별한 교정장치의 이용 없이 치열 내에서 치아의 배열을 개선시킬 수 있다. 본 증례보고에서는 특히 유견치의 발거 시기 및 좌우 유치의 발거 순서 등을 이용하여 치성 정중선 불일치를 개선시킨 증례틀을 보고하고자 한다. A midline deviation is divided into three types, such as a skeletal midline deviation, a dental midline deviation, and a combination. Among them, the midline deviation which appear in the early mixed dentition without any skeletal problem can be managed differently by the stage of dental development. The location of the permanent incisors can be improved without using artificial force in consideration of the condition of the space, the eruption timing or the eruption path of the adjacent permanent teeth in early mixed dentition, especially when the permanent incisors are erupting. Therefore. the space supervision technique, which can have the teeth align themselves utilizing physiologic events such as sequence or timing of the eruption of permanent teeth, can be an alternative to orthodontic movement. This case report describes midline deviation improvement by space supervision.

      • TiO₂와 Al을 원료로 한 Al₂TiO_5 세라믹스의 제조

        RBAO기술을 이용하여 Al2TiO5 소결체를 제조하였다. TiO2에 Al2O3와 Al을 각각 일정비율로 혼합하여 5mm의 알루미나볼로 어트리션밀링 하였다. 정수압(CIP)성형한 시편을 1100℃까지 1℃/min로 1차소성하고, 1300℃에서 1500℃까지 5℃/min으로 3시간동안 2차 소성하였다. Al을 포함했던 시편에서는 Al이 Al2O3로 산화한 후 TiO2와 반응하여 Al2TiO5를 생성하였다. 제조된 Al2TiO5 소결체를 XRD와 SEM으로 분석하였다. 두 조성을 비교했을 때 상대적으로 Al이 첨가된 시편에서 수축이 적은 Al2TiO5 소결체를 얻을 수 있었다. Al을 첨가함으로서 반응은 촉진되었으며, 소성수축도 산화한 Al의 부피팽창에 의해 상쇄되어 수축없는 소결체의 제조가능성을 보였다. Al2TiO5 ceramics weres fabricated by RBAO (Reaction Bonded Aluminium Oxide) technology. TiO2 mixture doped with Al2O3 and Al were attrition milled with 5mm Al2O3 balls. After attrition, isopressed compacts were preheated to 1100℃ with heating rate of 1℃/min and then sintered at the temperature range of 1300 to 1500℃ for 3 hours with a heating rate of 5℃/min. In the Al contained specimen, Al was oxidized into Al2O3 and finally reacted with TiO2 to form Al2TiO5 during sintering. Fabricated Al2TiO5 ceramics were analysed by XRD and SEM. Al powder doped Al2TiO5 ceramics showed relative low shrinkage relatively compare to Al2O3 doped. The addition of Al accelerates the reaction and compensate the shrinkage during the sintering through volume increase by oxidation of Al.
