Ren hongjun is a person who preached Western modern science in the early 20th century and laid the foundations of modern science in China. He has been a scientist for a lifetime, and has led scientific dissemination, science education, and scientific organization management in Chinese modern science. His research on science culture spans many aspects that include the essence of science, such as the nature and purpose of science, scientific method, scientific mind, science, morality, and life. He thought that the spirit of science is the origin of science and a true source, and that science can contribute to morality and life. The position he held in modern and contemporary science thought was the person who completed the understanding of science that rises in the period, and the Chinese began to accept modern science in earnest. 런홍쥔은 20세기 초 서양 근대 과학을 전파시키고 중국 현대 과학사업의 기반을 다진 인물이다. 그는 일생동안 과학 사업에 매진했는데, 중국 근대 과학계에서 과학보급과 과학교육, 과학조직 관리 등을 주도했다. 과학 문화에 대한 그의 연구는 과학의 특성과 목적, 과학방법, 과학정신, 과학과 도덕 및 인생 등 과학 문화의 정수를 담고 있는 여러 방면에 걸쳐 있다. 그는 과학정신이 과학의 본원이자 진정한 원천이며, 과학이 도덕과 인생에 도움을 줄 수 있다고 생각했다. 그가 중국 근현대 과학사상에서 갖고 있는 위상은 기에서 도로 상승하는 과학에 대한 이해 방식을 완성시킨 인물이자 중국인들이 근대 과학을 본격적으로 받아들이기 시작한 계기가 된 인물이라고 할 수 있다.
