        일개 대학병원 직원에서 인플루엔자 백신접종 후 이상반응

        Influenza vaccination on health care workers in a university hospital was conducted using inactivated split vaccines from two pharmaceutical companies (A, B), December 2003. Among 1,880 health care workers, 1,404 (74.7%) were vaccinated and 714 (50.8%) responded to the questionnaires about adverse reactions. Pain and redness at the injection site, febrile sensation, and restricted occupational activities were reported by 316 (44.3%), 141 (19.7%), 169 (23.6%), and 62 (8.7%) participants, respectively. There was no serious adverse events. The incidence of adverse reactions was similar to the previous reports. No statistical difference was detected according to the vaccines company.

        Various cytokines including IL-1β, IL-2, IL-4, IL-10, IL-12p40, IFN-γ, and TNF-α have been recently reported to play important roles in both host and donor cell activations during xenotransplantation. Interleukin (IL)-18, a proinflammatory cytokine, can induce IL-4 and IL-13 production in T cells, NK cells, B cells, mast cells, and basophils. IL-18 has the capacity to stimulate innate immunity and both Th1-and Th2- mediated responses, but little is known to involve in the xenograft rejection. In order to investigate the role of IL-18 in xenograft rejection, we transplanted the pig kidney (PK15) cells to C57BL/6 mouse with or without intraperitoneal injection of mouse recombinatant IL-18. It was analyzed the population of T cell, B cell and NK cell in the mice transplanted with PK 15 cells and recombinant IL-18 by flow cytometry. We found that splenic CD3+ T cells were increased in mice injected PK15 cells with recombinant IL-18. These results suggest that recombinant IL-18 is critical in the xenograft rejection by increasing T cell population of the recipients.

        The purpose of this study is to provide a practical planning guide for the actual conditions and the preference by user characteristics in one-room housing. The data collected through questionnaire surveys from the residents of one-room housing in kangnam &inchon. 259 samples are collected and are analyzed by using SPSS-PC. The results are follows: 1) Students: Students prefer monthly rent, down town, officetel type, 8-10py room size, and semi-furnished 2) office worker: They prefer multi function housing mixed office and residence, down town, officetel type, 11-15py, and fully furnished housing. 3) Newly weds: Ordinary habitation site, apt type, 16-18py, and 5:5 division of space(bedroom:others) 4) Seniors: normal habitation site, residence-commerce complex building type, middle corridor type, and 11-15py. 5) Couple with young kids: lease of deposit basis, apt complex site, and 16-18py.

        의복스타일과 색이 신체이미지 지각에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of dothing colors, dothing styles on women's body image perception. The experimental design was 2 x 2 x 9(perceiver's gender x clothing styles x clothing colors) factorial design with between-subjects design. Subjects were 320 college students in the metropolitan area of Seoul. Perceiver's gender, clothing styles, and clothii colors gave a significant influence on the 3 variables of shoulder, the upper half of the body, and bust. Shoulder and the upper half of the body had an interaction effect by clothing styles and clothing color. Perceiver s gender gave a significant influence on hip size, length of leg, height, clothing styles did a significant influence on hip size, length of leg, height, and slender figure. Clothing colors gave a significant influence on length of leg, height, and slender figure. Length of leg and slender figure had an interaction effect by perceiver s gender and clothing styles. Hip size had an interaction effect by perceiver s gender and clothing color. Hip size had an interaction effect by clothing styles and clothing color. The results of this study support that coloration of clothing and clothing style affects perception of stimulus persons wearing apparel.

        Although transplantation immunology as a distinctive field began with the development of experimental models that showed the feasibility of bone marrow tranaplantation (BMT), organ engraftment was accomplished first in humans, and was though for many years to occur by drastically different mechanism. The liver, skin, and gastrointestinal tract are major target organs of acute graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), the major complication of allogenic BMT. The pathophysiology of acute GVHD involves in the dysregulation of pro-inflammatory cytokine cascade and donor T-cell responses to host alloantigens. Interukine-l8 (IL-18) was initially known as interferon-g-inducing factor with potent immunomodulatory effects. The level of IL-18 is increased in acute GVHD, but little has been known about its role in thepathophysiology of acute GVHD. It reduces the severity of acute GVHD as a Thl-inducing cytokine early after BMT to the lethally irradiated recipients. When administered to the donor, it can also reducing the severity of acute GVHD, as a Th2-inducing cytokine. Therefore, IL-18 has the remarkable capacity to modulate acute GVHD when administered either to the donor or the recipient through distinct mechanism. Here, we present our view of the concepts of transplantation immunology and the role of IL-18 in the graft rejection.

        영아의 혀에 발생한 유아조직 1례

        Tongue tumors of pediatric patients are the most common soft tissue tumor of pediatric oral and maxillofacial tumors. There are many kind of pediatric tongue lesions such as hemangioma, lymphangioma, papilloma, and cyst. Most of these lesions are benign, but malignant tumors of tongue may be occurred. Therefore, malignancy should be ruled out Sometimes, tongue lesions are present with dyspnea, dysphagia, dyarthria, bleeding, or cosmetic problem. We experienced a case of chronic inflammatory mass on posterior 1/3 of symptom occurred because of tongue mass effect. The tongue mass was confirmed as granulation tissue by microscopic examination After excision of tongue mass, she had no problem with swallowing and breathing.
