This study designed and manufactured "a DVOR virtual signal generator" to make the monitoring system of preliminary Doppler VHF Omni-directional Radio Range(DVOR) run like its real operation status in a narrow space in order to study "a DVOR virtual monitoring system". The designed and manufactured DVOR virtual signal generator is suitable for the specification of signal that is generated in the currently running equipment. In addition, it is possible to control operation conditions of equipment by using parameter variables, and the circuit construction is largely divided into the input part, the modulation part, the high-gain amplifier, and the power part. "The DVOR virtual monitoring system using the virtual signal designed and implemented in this study is very suitable to be used for low-cost actual education as it can construct the operation status like the real situation in a narrow space without using an actual system like an antenna generating side band.
Vol.24 No.3
This study has been devised to enhance the self-esteem of students at local universities and promote their enthusiasm for learning through the process of writing titled "Introducing Our School's Advantages." It is part of an initiative to incorporate self-reflective writing into the curriculum, allowing students to introspect and develop self-esteem in their current academic pursuits. In South Korea, universities are often ranked, and as a result, students at local universities can sometimes be unfairly stigmatized as underachievers. Consequently, many students lose their motivation to learn. "Introducing Our School's Advantages" focuses on helping students understand the merits of the university they attend. It can be seen as a form of consolatory and therapeutic writing. The project is fundamentally designed as an exercise in academic writing, following a three-part structure with five paragraphs. Students are provided with guidelines for writing and engage in an analysis of their expected audience. In this writing task, it is essential for students to collaborate in sharing the strengths of their university. Given the limited length, the advantages are categorized and presented, and students are encouraged to provide concrete evidence. Through this process, students come to realize that the university they attend is indeed a reputable institution. As a result, students develop a sense of pride in their university and regain their enthusiasm for learning, allowing them to plan for their future with renewed vigor. This also means that educators encounter students who are eager to participate actively in their studies. In fact, there have been cases where students, after completing this writing task, reflected on their reasons for choosing their school and felt a sense of pride, as confirmed through course evaluations. Local universities are vital for the sustainability and development of local industries and culture. To achieve this, students at local universities need to take pride in their academic institutions. "Introducing Our School's Advantages" aspires to contribute to this process.

Background and Objectives: In patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and multivessel disease, complete revascularization (CR) for non-culprit lesions is not routinely recommended. The aim of this study was to compare the clinical outcomes of multivessel compared with infarct-related artery (IRA)-only revascularization in patients undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for STEMI. Subjects and Methods: From the Korean Acute Myocardial Infarction Registry (KAMIR) database, 1,094 STEMI patients with multivessel disease who underwent primary PCI with drug-eluting stents were enrolled in this study. The patients were divided into two groups: culprit-vessel-only revascularization (COR, n=827) group; multivessel revascularization, including non-IRA (MVR, n=267) group. The primary endpoint of this study included major adverse cardiac events (MACEs), such as death, myocardial infarction, or target or nontarget lesion revascularization at one year. Results: There was no difference in clinical characteristics between the two groups. During the one-year follow-up, 102 (15.2%) patients in the COR group and 32 (14.2%) in the MVR group experienced at least one MACE (p=0.330). There were no differences between the two groups in terms of rates of death, myocardial infarction, or revascularization (2.1% vs. 2.0%, 0.7% vs. 0.8%, and 11.7% vs. 10.1%, respectively; p=0.822, 0.910, and 0.301, respectively). The MACE rate was higher in the incompletely revascularized patients than in the completely revascularized patients (15% vs. 9.5%, p=0.039), and the difference was attributable to a higher rate of nontarget vessel revascularization (8.6% vs. 1.8%, p=0.002). Conclusion: Although multivessel angioplasty during primary PCI for STEMI did not reduce the MACE rate compared with culprit-vessel-only PCI, CR was associated with a lower rate of repeat revascularization after multivessel PCI.
