The purpose of the present paper is to make a detailed examination of Arisima Takeo's mental and spiritual life before his salvation. I focus on what the essence of the truth is that he had pursued. I conclude that it is sincerity with sympathy. His homosexual experience with Morimoto causes his road to sincerity to collapse and leads him to decide to kill himself. This affair is the crucial turning point toward becoming a Christian.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the meaning, rewards and difficulties of teaching practice based on the experience of pre-service teachers who major in Japanese, and to suggest implications for the preparation and execution of teaching practice in the future. Two college students who attended the teaching practice in the first semester of 2019 were interviewed using the photo voice method, and the collected data were categorized by subject. As a result, educational practice is meaningful as a time to check the strengths and weaknesses of oneself, to check one’s aptitude as a teacher, and to remember one’s own school days in past. Second, it was found that the best educational experience was the meeting of teachers, fellow college students, and school students. Third, class anxiety was the biggest difficulty in teaching practice. Based on these findings, there is a need for universities to improve teacher education and educational practice by reflecting the implications.
