        강릉학의 연구 동향 및 지식 구조 탐색 - 의미연결망 분석을 활용하여

        본 연구의 목적은 지역학으로서 강릉학의 연구 동향과 지식 구조를 탐색한 후 이를 기반으로 앞으로의 강릉학의 발전 방향에 대하여 논의하는 것이다. 본 연구에서 강릉학은 ‘강릉을 대상으로 이루어진 연구’로 개념화될 수 있으며, 강릉학의 연구 동향의 분석을 위하여 RISS, KISS, DBPIA 등 다양한 논문데이터베이스에서 ‘강릉’을 주제어 또는 제목으로 포함하고 있는 학술지 논문들을 검색하였고, 그 결과 총 474편의 논문들을 수집하였다. 이어서 발행년도와 학문 분야에 따라 논문들의 발간 현황을 분석함으로써 지금까지 강릉학 연구가 어떻게 이루어져 왔는지 살펴보았다. 또한 수집된 논문들에 포함된 키워드의 출현 빈도 분석과 함께 의미연결망분석을 활용하여 각 키워드 간의 관계를 살펴봄으로써 강릉학의 연구 동향과 지식 구조를 보다 체계적으로 살펴보았다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 발간 현황에 있어서는 전반적으로 강릉학 연구가 꾸준히 증가하는 모습을 보였으며 대다수의 연구는 인문학, 사회과학, 자연과학 분야에서 주로 이루어졌다. 둘째, 전체 연구물들의 키워드들을 분석한 결과 강릉, 강릉단오제, 만족도, 축제, 강릉방언 등이 출현빈도가 높게 나타났으며, 의미연결망 분석에서의 중심성 수치는 강릉, 강릉단오제, 축제, 관광, 강원도 등이 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 각 분야별 연구에서의 키워드들을 분석한 결과, 인문학 분야에서는 강릉, 강릉단오제, 강릉방언의 출현 빈도가 높았고, 중심성 수치는 강릉, 동해, 강릉단오제 등이 높게 나타났다. 한편 사회과학 분야에서는 만족도, 강릉단오제, 축제 등이 출현 빈도가 높았으며, 중심성 수치는 이와 비슷한 순서로 높게 나타났다. 자연과학 분야에서는 강릉, 강릉남대천, 태풍 등이 출현 빈도가 높았으며, 강릉, 취약성, 지역 등의 키워드들이 중심성 수치가 높게 나타났다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 분석 결과를 요약하여 기술하였고, 앞으로의 강릉학의 발전 방향에 대한 방안들을 제시하였다. The purpose of this study is to explore the research trends and knowledge structures of studies on Gangneung as locality studies. In this study, Studies on Gangneung can be conceptualized as 'research conducted related to Gangneung'. In order to analyze the research trends of Gangneung Studies, journal articles containing 'Gangneung' in its title or keywords in various research database such as RISS, KISS and DBPIA. As a result, a total of 474 papers were collected. After that, analyzing the publication status of the papers according to the year of publication and academic field, this study examined how the studies on Gangneung have been published so far. Then, by analyzing the presence frequency of the keywords included in the collected articles and using the semantic network analysis, we investigated the research trends and knowledge structures of the studies on Gangneung more systematically. The results of the study are as follows. First, the studies on Gangneung have steadily increased so far, and the majority of studies have been conducted mainly in humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. Second, as a result of analyzing the keywords of all collected studies, the appearance frequency of Gangneung, Gangneung Danoje, satisfaction degree, festival, Gangneung dialect was high, and the centrality values ​​in semantic network analysis were high in Gangneung, Gangneung Danoje, festival. Third, as a result of analyzing the keywords in each academic field, the appearance frequency of Gangneung, Gangneung Danoje, and Gangneung dialects was high in the humanities field, and the central values ​​were high in Gangneung, the East sea, and Gangneung Danoje. In the social science field, the frequency of satisfaction degree, Kangnung Danoje, and festivals were high, and the centrality was high in similar order. In the natural sciences, the appearance frequency of Gangneung, Gangneung Namdae stream, typhoon, etc. The centrality of the key words such as Gangneung, vulnerability, and region were high in the natural sciences. Finally, the results of this study were summarized, and suggestions for future direction were provided.

        여말선초 江陵 지역에서의 통혼실태 : 江陵崔氏를 중심으로

        This paper researches the inter-marital situation in Gangneung area during 16C from late Goryeo till early Joseon through the actual cases of Gangneung Choi family. The Gangneung Choi family has three branches of Choi Mun-Han(崔文漢). Choi Heun-Bong(崔欣奉) and Choi Pil Dal(崔必達). who had the inter-marital relation with indigenous families in Gangneung as high as 48~54%. 41 % and 44% of total inter-marriages respectively, In similar rates of around half, three families had the inter-marital relation with indigenous families in Cangneung. More concretely, they had it with other branches of Gangneung Choi family, Gangneung Kim family(江陵金氏), Gangneung Park family(江陵朴氏) and Gangneung Ham family(江陵咸氏) in order. That is, three Choi branches had the dose inter-marital relation with each other and Gangneung Kim family and Gangneung Park family in Gangneung region. It must be because they shared the political, social and economical interests in the region. When the inter-marital ratio was checked in Gangneung jurisdiction or vicinity region. Choi Mun-Han had 57~64% of the total inter-marital relations with indigenous families in Gangneung vicinity region. while Choi Heun-Bong and Choi Pil-Dal had 51 % respectively. Especially, they had many inter-marriages with Samcheok Kim family(三陟金氏) and Samcheok Sim family(三陟沈氏). In the generational change, they showed the fluctuation of 37%~58%, 31%~50% and 31~52% respectively. With about 10% fluctuations from the averages, all the three branches had 3~5 of 10 inter-marriages with indigenous families in Gangneung area. They showed little increasing or decreasing in the marital tendency over generations. It must be because Gangneung has an isolated topographic condition with Taebaek(太白) Mt. Ridge and suffered few social changes due to it. And it turned out that Gangneung Choi family had little bond with other typical Cangwon areas(江原道) like Wonju(原州) and Chuncheon(春川) through the inter-marriage. In the actual marriage situation. Gangneung Choi family had duplicative and repetitive inter-marital relation with other indigenous families in Cangneung generation over generation. When a girl of the Choi family got married to a boy of other family, their kids married again with Gangneung Choi family members. In these inter-marriages, there were sorre cases of consanguineous marriage and ignorance or reversal of generation and kindred degree. Therefore, even if Gangneung Choi family had 51~60% of total inter-marriage with indigenous families in Gangneung area, actual ratio seemed much higher because the inter-marital relation was linked again with Gangneung Choi family through other family names. This type of inter-marriage must have an important role for Gangneung Choi family to maintain the social previledge in Gangneung.

        강릉빙상클럽의 안정적 정착방안

        The purpose of this study is to analyse gangneung ice-sports club management plan, draw problem and accordingly to suggest stable settlement plan of gangneung ice-sports club. Research results are as follows. At first, alternatives for critical review of gangneung ice-sports club management plan are to transform gangneung ice-sports club vision to local sports club’s universal vision, propel independent corporation of gangneung ice-sports club, apply financial support of gangneung city and cooperative relation with gangneung city sports council, prepare on-line club communication system and full-part time professional coach, make to volunteer of all member and member-oriented general assembly, propel independent profit business. And gangneung ice-sports club need to link athlete supply system with school ice-sports classes, club ice-sports member classes and ice-sports elite athlete team, build cooperative support system with korea sport science institute’s sport science team, Catholic Kwandong University’s sport leisure culture institute and gangneung national fitness 100. Furthermore, gangneung ice-sports club need to attract donation and secure sponsor, select on government or gangwon-do’s sport for all business, secure finance transparency of gangneung ice-sports club. Next, alternatives for issue analysis of gangneung ice-sports club management plan are to maintain one or two of ice-sports venue after Pyeongchang Olympic Games. Otherwise, gangneung ice-sports club must be transform universal ‘gangneung sports club’ like other sports club. Also, gangneung ice-sports club need to form well relation with gangneung city hall, gangneung city sports council, gangneung ice-sports federation and existing adult centered ice-sports club in gangneung.

        신간회 강릉지회의 조직과 활동

        The goal of this research is to look at the Shinganhoe's organizational history and activities in Gangneung. During the Japanese colonial period, A high number of religious (Protestantism, Buddhism), youth, and the press were founded in the Gangneung area. The GangneungCheolpildan, which was created after the dissolution of the EulchukSinwooAssociation, organized an Okgye-myeon Citizens' Meeting to explore Okgye-myeon, which was experiencing troubles at the time, and co-led the lecture with the Gangneung Student Friendship Association. After the Innovation Competition, the Gangneungchengnyunhoie was renamed the Gangneung chengnyundongmang, and KwandongKwonup Company conducted a preparation meeting for the construction of the Gangneung branch of Shinganhoe with the full support of the Gangwonchengnyunyeon dongmaeng. Shinganhoe was formed as a result on November 19, 1927. The Gangneungchengnyundongmang was mostly attended by those who served on the planning committee, but merchants and Song Se-ho, a member of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea and a representative of Gangwon-do, were also there. However, due to the KwandongKwonup Company, officials at the Shinganhoe in Gangneung are at odds. This corporation was founded by Woljeongsa monks and Gangneung businessmen, and a disagreement arose between Song Se-ho, a former Woljeongsa monk, and Im Jin-ho, a businessman, over the company's reorganization, prompting Song Se-departure ho's from Gangneung. As a result, the press and students in Gangneung, which was close to Imjin Lake, led the new book club in Gangneung, and Protestants and women, though few, took part in the Shinganhoe activities. The Gangneung Shinganhoe brought together the press and youth organizations for a variety of activities, one of which was Lee Geun-woo, Gangneung's largest landlord, demanding a reduction in tenant rates. He also took an active role in local concerns such as the present condition lecture, enlightenment lecture, poverty relief, flood damage countermeasures, and equitable history issues. The Gangneung Branch of the Singanhoe decided to establish the Gangwon-do Branch in October 1929 and prepared for it, but Choi Jong-pil, Kang Deok-sang, and Park Seung-man, who were influenced by the Gwangju Student Anti-Japanese Movement, were arrested for criticizing Japanese rule, and the Gangwon-do Branch was canceled. 본 연구에서는 신간회 강릉지회의 조직 배경과 그 활동을 살펴보고자 하는 목적이 있다. 일제강점기 강릉지역에는 종교‧청년‧언론계열에서 다수 단체들이 생겨났다. 특히 을축신우회가 해산되고 생겨난 강릉철필단은 옥계면민대회를 열어 당시 문제가 있었던 옥계면장을 조사했고, 강릉유학생친목회와 더불어 강연회를 주도하였다. 또한, 강릉청년회는 강원도청년연맹혁신대회를 거쳐 강릉청년동맹으로 개칭하였고, 강원청년회연맹의 전체 지지를 통해 관동권업주식회사에서 신간회 강릉지회 설치 준비회를 열었다. 그 결과 1927년 11월 19일 신간회가 조직되었다. 준비위원에 참여한 이들은 주로 강릉청년동맹에 참여했던 인물이었지만, 실업가도 포함되어 있었고, 대한민국임시정부 의정원 강원도 대표의원이었던 송세호도 참여하였다. 그런데, 신간회 강릉지회 임원들은 관동권업주식회사로 인하여 갈등을 겪게 된다. 이 회사는 월정사 승려들과 강릉 기업인들이 주도하여 만든 합자회사인데, 월정사 승려 출신인 송세호와 기업인 임진호 간 회사 정리 문제를 두고 갈등이 있게 되었고, 이 사건으로 인해 송세호는 강릉을 떠나게 되었다. 이렇게 되자 임진호와 가까웠던 강릉지역 내 언론‧학생계열이 강릉지역 신간회를 주도하였고, 개신교도와 여성도 소수이지만, 신간회 활동에 참여했다. 강릉지역 신간회는 언론단체와 청년단체들을 규합하여 여러 활동을 벌였는데, 그 중 주목할 것은 강릉 최대 지주인 이근우에게 소작료 인하를 요구하였다는 점이다. 또한, 시국강연회‧계몽강연회‧빈민구제‧수해 대책‧형평사 문제 등 지역 현안 문제에 적극 참여하였다. 강릉지역 신간회는 1929년 10월 강원도지회 연합회 결성을 결의하였고, 이를 위한 준비를 했으나, 광주학생항일운동의 영향을 받은 최종필‧강덕상‧박승만 등이 일제 통치를 비판해 구속되었고, 강원도 통합지회 설립은 무산되었다.

        강릉지역 팔경의 내용 및 분포에 관한 연구

        In this paper, we collected information on Palgyeong of the Gangneung area that were scattered around several literatures, and analyzed and interpreted regional distribution, elements of scenery and inherent meanings from various angles. we shed light on the origin and the meaning of Palgyeong, which have been passed down in the Gangneung area. Palgyeong of the Gangneung area have been accumulated and expanded for a long period of time, since Goryeo up to the modern times, and it does not simply reflect the beauty of natural scenery, but also reflect historical facts and sentiments rooted in this region. In addition, given the comprehensive veiw of Palgyeong of the Gangneung area and in consideration of its type and distribution of the eight sceneries the most common format is similar to Sosang(瀟湘類似型). What are repeatedly appearing among them include ``smoke from cooking supper`` and ``catching fish``, showing the living conditions of local residents of Gangneung at the time, which refers to the fact that Palgyeong consisted of village units. Palgyeong in the Gangneung area are distributed in diverse ranges between the city and Nujung. Most of Palgyeong are clustered in the east of Gangneung city and in the region tangent to Gangdong-myeon and Gujeong-myeon. When we consider the situation where most of Palgyeong in the Gangneung area are distributed in this region, it suggests that the region occupies the heart of scenery of Gangneung. Palgyeong of the Gangneung area consists of 60% natural factors, 36% humanity factors, and 4% other factors, where the natural factors hold the beauty of nature itself and the humanities and other factors hold the legends and history contained in the targets. The sceneries expressed by Palgyeong cannot be individually separated. Namedaecheon, Jukdobong, Sumseokcheon, Sumdulmaeul, Gunseongang, Pungho and Kyungpoho were connected to Nujung and Hongjamam, and they eventually became a panorama. Hansongjung, Hwanseondeung, Hansongsa, Pungho and Gunseongang are related to Hwarang of Silla and have become representative historical sceneries of the Gangneung area. Judging from the fact that currently non-existing sceneries such as Kyeonjodo, Hansongjung and Gulsansa remained in Palgyeong and been passed, Palgyeong have positioned imaginary spaces of the Gangneung people beyond simply expressing sceneries. In conclusion, Palgyeong in the Gangneung area are aesthetical objects and while at the same time, they are historical and cultural space, and furthermore, we can see that they still remain as imaginary spaces.

        The Process of Festivalization Througsssh the Formation and Production of Regional Culture: Focusing on the Gangneung Coffee Festivalss

        The Gangneung Coffee Festival has continually developed through the collaboration between the city of Gangneung and its local residents, emerging as a unique regional festival centered around coffee culture. Since its inception in 2009, the Gangneung Coffee Festival has played a crucial role in advancing the coffee industry and cultural development in Gangneung, while also boosting the local economy and increasing the festival’s value as a tourism resource. The initial development and operation of the festival were driven by the contributions of first-generation Korean baristas who settled in Gangneung, highlighting the region’s coffee culture, especially through the "roasting & brewing" style. This particular focus was further commercialized and promoted for tourism through organizational restructuring and collaboration among local private broadcasters, local governments, and related organizations. Ultimately, the festival became a key catalyst for embedding coffee culture as a cultural asset within Gangneung's local community, fostering its development and growth. Externally, the festival introduced Gangneung’s coffee culture to tourists through various programs, including experiential activities such as the "stamp tour," where visitors explored specialized coffee shops. This helped to showcase Gangneung’s charm and attracted a significant number of tourists each year, becoming a crucial driver for local business and tourism revitalization. Visitors, through their coffee-centered experiences, interacted with local residents and developed positive perceptions of the region. This positioned Gangneung as a central destination for coffee tourism and helped to strengthen the region's economic and cultural assets, solidifying its identity as the "City of Coffee." The Gangneung Coffee Festival offers local residents a source of pride and provides external tourists with opportunities to experience the region’s coffee culture, playing a significant role in establishing Gangneung as a "coffee tourism destination." This regional identity, in turn, links to the local economy, creating both direct and indirect ripple effects on the regional economy. The growth of the festival has directly contributed to the quantitative and qualitative development of local coffee shops, and the coffee industry—centered around roasting & brewing—has become an important economic asset for the region. Indirectly, the festival has also had a positive impact on local businesses and the tourism industry. As a successful example of simultaneous cultural and economic development, the Gangneung Coffee Festival demonstrates the importance of cultivating and forming unique regional identities through festivals, highlighting its distinctive significance.

        강릉한복문화 활성화방안 연구

        강릉시는 2023년 <강릉한복문화창작소> 사업에 선정되어 한복 활성화의 토대를 마련했다. 본 연구는 강릉시와 강릉문화원이 <창작소>를 중심으로 한복 활성화 방안을 구체화하고, 1970년대 이후 강릉한복문화의 변천, 현황, 향후 활성화 방안을 제언한다. 조사 결과 강릉은 전통을 지키려는 노력이 강하지만 트렌드에 약한 경향이 있으며, 한복문화는 도포를 중심으로 영위된다는 점을 알 수 있었다. 향후, 강릉한복의 활성화는 <창작소> 중심으로 진행될 것이며, 이를 위해 정책 입안과 행정조치, 한복체험관 및 대여점 증설, 인적 네트워크 구축, 한복 근무복 개발, 지역 문화행사와의 연계, 대학의 한복교육 지원 등이 필요하다. 또한 킬러 콘텐츠 발굴 및 홍보, 유관 활동 실행, 전통 관련 기관과의 연계, <창작소>의 한복 제작 및 관리, 교육 프로그램 운영, 학술 행사, 전시 등의 실행이다. 본 연구는 강릉의 한복 활성화를 위한 사회문화적 환경을 확인했으며, 전문인력 부족, 트렌드의 뒤처짐, 정책 시행 속도와 예산 부족 등의 한계도 발견했다. 강릉만의 한복을 찾고 활성화하는 것은 이제 시작이며, 이를 통해 강릉을 홍보할 아이템을 발굴하고 활용할 필요가 있다. 제언된 활성화 방안이 시행된다면 강릉한복문화는 새로운 발전이 가능할 것으로 본다. Gangneung was selected for the <Gangneung Hanbok Culture Creative Service Space> project in 2023, laying the foundation for revitalizing Hanbok. This study presents the revitalization plan of Hanbok centered on the <Creative Service Space> by Gangneung-si and Gangneung Cultural Center. It suggests the changes, current status, and future revitalization plan of Gangneung hanbok culture since the 1970s. The survey results show that Gangneung is committed to preserving tradition but needs to be more vital to trends, and hanbok culture is centered on dopo. The revitalization of Gangneung hanbok will be centered on the <Creative Service Space>. To this end, policy-making and administrative measures, expansion of hanbok experience centers and rental stores, establishment of human networks, development of hanbok work clothes, linkage with local cultural events, and support for hanbok education at universities are necessary. In addition, it is necessary to discover and promote killer content, implement related activities, link with traditional organizations, produce and manage Hanbok at the <Creative Service Space>, and operate educational programs, academic events, and exhibitions. This study confirmed the socio-cultural environment for revitalizing Gangneung's Hanbok and also found limitations such as a lack of professional workforce, lagging behind trends, policy implementation speed, and budget shortage. Finding and revitalizing Gangneung's Hanbok is just the beginning, and it is necessary to discover and utilize items that will promote Gangneung through this. If the suggested revitalization plan is implemented, it is expected that Gangneung's hanbok culture will be able to develop in a new way.

        강릉자수를 활용한 문화상품 개발에 관한 연구

        This study aims to develop cultural goods using the images of Gangneung embroidery relics to transmit and develop traditional craft culture and unique cultural goods of Gangneung. This study examines the formative characteristics of Gangneung embroidery and analyzes the relics of Gangneung embroidery. Based on the analysis result, the motif was digitally printed on 100% silk and polyester fabric to produce various cultural goods. The embroidery pattern was created using trees and birds as motifs as original patterns by analyzing the materials of Gangneung embroidery with colored thread, in the Gangneung Embroidery Museum. The motif of trees and birds was simplified and symmetrically or repeatedly arranged. In abstract and geometric patterns, Gangneung Subo is unique cultural contents of Gangneung. Cultural goods were developed using the gorgeous red, green, and yellow colors used in Gangneung embroidery and black, white, grayish sky blue, and off-white, which contemporary society prefers. Scarves, foldable bags, eco bags, pouches, masks, cushions, cleaning cloths and smart tokes have been developed and produced in various ways as cultural goods. Using Gangneung embroidery to develop various products suitable for a contemporary style and produce excellent cultural products with shapes, colors, materials, and designs, the traditional craft culture can be transmitted and developed. Furthermore, it will be possible to promote Gangneung's unique cultural heritage and develop it into high-value-added cultural goods. .

        강릉관노가면극의 상징적 의미 고찰

        강릉관노가면극은 강릉지역의 마을 축제인 단오제에서 연희되고 있기 때문에 제의적 성격을 갖추고 있으며, 이는 자연과 인간의 갈등을 무당이 주관하는 주술적으로 해결하려는 굿의 성격으로 시작되었다가 점차적으로 인간 세상의 갈등을 연희적으로 극화시키면서 탈놀이가 성립된 것이라고 할 수 있다. 강릉관노가면극은 우리나라의 탈춤놀이 중 유일무이하게 대사가 전혀 없고 춤과 몸짓만으로 극이 진행되는 무언극 형태로 연희가 된다. 또한 강릉관노가면극에서 중요한 부분이 가면인데, 가면이 지니고 있는 주술적인 면은 강릉지역의 다양한 설화들과 밀접한 관련이 있다. 강릉관노가면극의 구성은 전체 5과장으로 구성되어 있다. 제1과장은 관노가면극이 시작되면 가장 먼저 2명의 장자마리가 나와서 춤을 추면서 시작을 알린다. 제2과장은 장자마리가 마당을 정리한 후 양반광대와 소매각시가 양쪽에서 등장하면서 양반광대가 소매각시에게 구애한다. 제3과장은 시시딱딱이는 무서운 형상(形象)의 탈을 쓰고 양쪽에서 호방한 칼춤을 추며 뛰어나온다. 제4과장은 시시딱딱이가 양반광대와 소매각시의 사이를 훼방 놓은 후 소매각시의 환심을 산다. 제5과장은 목을 매어 죽으려던 소매각시가 소생하여 자신의 결백을 믿지 못하는 양반광대에게 냉담하지만 장자마리들의 중개로 서로 오해를 풀고 화해를 한다. 강릉관노가면극에 등장하는 인물을 살펴보면, 1) 양반광대는 젊은 여성의 미색에 빠져 권위와 체면을 손상시키는 부정적 인물로 양반을 형상화하고 있으며, 아직 의식화되지 않은 미분화 상태에 있는 아니마를 나타내는 것이라고 할 수 있다. 2) 소매각시는 젊고 아름다운 여성이지만 요부의 기질을 갖고 있는 인물처럼 묘사된다. 양반광대의 의식을 흐리게 하고 현실을 보는 눈을 완전히 멀게 할 만큼 강력한 내적인 정동의 황홀감을 일으키게 한다. 3) 시시딱딱이는 우리나라 다른 가면극에서 볼 수 없는 명칭으로 잡귀를 쫓는 인물이라고 할 수 있다. 양반광대로부터 소매각시를 빼앗아 와서 함께 춤을 추면서 노는 모습에서 사랑을 방해하려는 트릭스터의 상징으로 사료된다. 4) 장자마리는 우리나라 가면극에서는 볼 수 없는 유일한 인물로 얼굴을 가리는 탈을 쓰지 않고 포댓자루같은 삼베옷을 전신에 뒤집어쓰고 나온다. 한 쌍의 장자마리가 상호작용하면서 혼돈과 융합의 과정을 거치면서 새로운 세상을 창조하는 변화를 이끌어 내는데 일조할 수 있을 것이라는 가능성을 보여주고 있다. 강릉관노가면극은 남녀의 사랑과 갈등을 해학과 풍자를 통해 보여주고 있다. 강릉관노가면극의 연희자들은 연희장 주변을 원을 만들어 돌면서 함께 춤을 추는 것으로 공동체는 흥겨운 마당놀이로 끝을 맺는다. 원을 돌면서 함께 춤을 추는 것은 테메노스를 만들어내는 것이라고 할 수 있을 것이며, 이는 강릉관노가면극이 신성한 공간으로 만들어지면서 치유가 일어날 수 있다는 것을 상징적으로 보여주고 있다. Gangneung gwanno mask drama has ritualistic characteristics because it is being played in Danoje, a village festival in Gangneung. Which began exorcism characteristic with the shaman’s shamanistic attempt to resolve the conflict between nature and man, and then gradually became a mask play, dramatizing the conflict in the human world. The Gangneung gwanno mask drama is the only mask dance performance in Korea that has no lines at all and played in the form of a mime in which the play is staged only by dancing and gestures. Also, mask is an important part of Gangneung gwanno mask drama, which the shamanistic aspect of the mask is closely related to various folktales in Gangneung. The composition of Gangneung gwanno mask drama is composed of five chapters. In the first chapter, when the gwanno mask drama begins two Jangja-maris dance and announce the beginning. The second chapter shows the Yangban-gwangdae and the somae-gakshi on both sides after the jangja-mari clears the yard, with the yangban-gwangdae courting the somaegakshi. The second chapter appear the yangban-gwangdae and the Somae-gakshi on both sides after the jangja-mari clears the yard, with the Yangban-gwangdae go sweethearting the somae-gakshi. In the third chapter, Jangja-mari jumps out with a scary figure and on both sides broadly playing sword dances. Chapter 4 seeks to win favor with Somae-gakshi after Sisi-tactagi disrupts between Yangban-gwangdae and Somae-gakshi. The fifth chapter is cold-hearted toward a Yangban-gwangdae who is unbelievable in his innocence because of the revive of a Somae-gakshi who tried to commit suicide by hanging himself, but reconciles with Jangja-mari’s arbitration of and then he solves misunderstanding. Looking at the characters in the Gangneung gwanno mask drama, 1) Yangban-gwangdae is depicted as a negative person who loses authority and dignity by indulging in the beauty of a young woman, and represents anima who is still in a state of undivided and unconsciousness. 2) The Somae-gakshi is described as a young and beautiful woman, but a character with a disposition to be a temptress. It causes the ecstasy of inner emotions that is powerful enough to dim the consciousness of the Yangban-gwangdae and completely blind the eye to reality. 3) Sisi-tactagi is a person who pursues cast out ghosts with a name that is not seen in other mask dramas in Korea. It is a symbol of a trickster who tries to disturb love in the way he takes Somae-gakshi from Yangban-gwangdae and dances together. 4) Jangja-mari is not seen in Korean another mask dramas. He can only be seen in the Gangneung gwanno mask drama. He does not wear masks to cover his face, but he uses a burlap cloth like a bag over his whole body. It shows the possibility that a pair of Jangjamari could interact and contribute to creating a new world through chaos and convergence. Gangneung gwanno mask drama shows love and conflict between men and women through humor and satire. Actors of the Gangneung gwanno mask drama make a circle around the yard and dance together, ending with a merry yard play. Dancing together around a circle would be a creation of the temenos, which symbolically shows that healing can occur as the Gangneung gwanno mask drama is made into a sacred space.

        조성규 영화에 나타난 강릉의 재현 방식과 지역 표상의 새로운 가능성

        This paper aims to realize the limitations of locality representations in Korean mass media through the representing method of Gangneung in Cho Sung-Kyu's films, and to find the possibility of a new representing method through this. The city of Gangneung frequently appears as the backdrop of movies based on beautiful nature. However, most films consume Gangneung only as a symbol of general nature, rather than reproducing Gangneung’s locality itself. Or, pay attention only to the spatial characteristics of a typical tourist spot. On the other hand, Cho Sung-Kyu(David Cho)’s films explored the identity of Gangneung itself. At first, Gangneung was interested in the attractiveness of travel to director Cho, but over 10 years, Cho’s work deepened with interest in local life and everyday life. In <Second Half> and <Two Rooms, Two Nights>, Gangneung was a simple region to travel. However, in <The Winter Of The Year Was Warm> and <Guesthouse>, the desires of daily life and deviation inherent in the city of Gangneung were simultaneously reproduced. In <Beautiful Food> and <Remarriage Skill>, the movie asked about the identity of the city of Gangneung, and how the everyday life of the region was opposed to the representation of a tourist destination. The identity of a local city centered on tourism always implies a conflict and a dilemma between tourism and life. Cho Sung-kyu’s film exposes the point of conflict and conflict as it is, and allows us to recognize the limitations and problems of social discourse surrounding the local city. 이 논문은 조성규 영화에 나타난 강릉의 재현 방식을 통해 한국 대중매체에 나타난 지역 표상의 한계점을 파악하고 이를 해결할 수 있는 새로운 재현 방식의 가능성을 찾아보고자 했다. 강릉이라는 도시는 아름다운 자연을 기반으로 영화의 배경으로 자주 등장한다. 하지만 대부분의 영화는 강릉의 지역성 자체를 재현하기보다는 강릉을 보편적 자연의 상징으로만 소비한다. 또는 전형적인 관광지가 가지는 공간적 특성에만 주목한다. 이와 달리 조성규의 영화는 강릉이라는 지역 자체의 정체성을 탐구하였다. 처음에는 강릉이라는 공간이 여행지로서 가진 매력에 관심을 가지지만, 10년의 기간에 걸쳐, 조성규의 작품은 지역의 생활과 일상에 대한 관심으로 깊어져 갔다. <맛있는 인생(Second Half)>과 <두 개의 연애(Two Rooms, Two Nights)>에서 강릉은 단순한 여행지였다. 하지만 <내가 고백을 하면(The Winter Of The Year Was Warm)>과 <게스트하우스(Guesthouse)>에서는 강릉이라는 도시에 내재하는 일상과 일탈의 욕구를 동시에 재현하였다. <각자의 미식(Beautiful Food)>과 <재혼의 기술(Remarriage Skill)>에서는 강릉이라는 도시 자체의 정체성에 대한 질문을 던지며, 지역의 일상이 관광지라는 표상과 어떻게 대립하는지 형상화하였다. 관광이 중심이 된 지역 도시의 정체성은 언제나 관광과 생활의 대립과 딜레마를 내포하고 있다. 조성규의 영화는 이러한 대립과 충돌의 지점을 그대로 노출시키며, 지역을 둘러싼 현실 담론의 한계와 문제점을 인식할 수 있게 한다.
