The DNA marker T1ex, originally developed from melon (Cucumis melo L.) for monoecy, was employed in chamoe, which is referred to as oriental melon. This marker shows size variations in monoecious melon. However, in chamoe, no such detrimental size variation was found in monoecious chamoe, and 99% association between flower phenotypes and genotypes of the T1ex marker was observed in 106 lines of chamoe. To evaluate the efficacy of the T1ex marker for marker-assisted selection (MAS), a total of 240 plants of chamoe breeding lines were screened using the T1ex marker. Among these, 98 varieties were selected. Although the T1ex marker might not be useful for MAS in melon, we found 100% concordance between genotypes and phenotypes for sex expression in chamoe. These results suggest that the T1ex marker will be a useful resource for MAS for monoecy in chamoe.

Background: One of the previous drawback of full covered metal stents on the peripancreatic cancer is the risk of failure of biliary drainge from cystic duct. Therefore, cholecystitis occurs frequently by complication. We devise some special self expanded metal stent (SEMSs) which were combining the advantages of previous covered stent. Methods: We enrolled fi ve patients (mean age 69.2 years) who underwent endoscopic retrograde biliary drainage with newly designed two third polytetrafl uoroethylene (PTFE) partially covered SEMs for palliation of biliary obstruction secondary to unresectable peripancreatic cancer at our institutions from August 2013 to February 2014. The de nove partially covered SEMs (Taewoong Corporation, Seoul, Korea) is made with stent consists of an inner polyurethane layer to prevent tumor ingrowth and an outer uncovered nitinol wire tube to allow the mesh of the stent to embed itself in the biliary duct wall. Differently then traditional covered stent, One-third of stent is not covered. Follow-up data focused on clinical remissions and complication especially cholecystitis. Additory complications included stent migration, bleeding, perforation and 30-day mortality. Results: In total, 5 stents were placed successfully in 5 of 5 patients. All patients (5/5) did not need to repeat procedures. One hundred percent of the patients experienced adequate palliative drainage for the remainder of their lives. No patients experienced delayed stent migration with stone formation. The 30-day mortality rate was 0% Conclusions: The de nove two third PTFE-covered nitinol stent seems to be safe to use with acceptable complication rates. The PTFE-covered lay is located on the halfway and only covered two third. The rest uncovered one third of stent play an important role in biliary drainage. But there is a need for further large studies to determine the patency.

In this work, the electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness (EMI-SE) of carbon nanotube/carbon fiber-reinforced HDPE matrix composites are investigated with various preparation conditions, such as the carbon fiber and carbon nanotube content, the presence of metal additives, as well as mixing speed and time. It was found that the EMI-SE of the composites increased with filler contents and metal additives. These results indicate that the content and length of carbonaceous fillers determine the electric networks in the composites, resulting in the control of the EMI-SE of the composites.

A method for processing and the drug releasing behavior of 5-Fluorouracil(5FU)/ Polyglycolic Acid(PGA) composite, applicable to medical devices, was investigated. A preliminary results indicated that the method utilizing melt processing could be a simple means by which the composite can be processed without referring to more involved and difficult-to-achieve solvent processing method. It is shown that the effectiveness of 5-FU was maintained during tests, even after the processing temperature of 230℃. The release patterns from the various sized samples have indicated that the observed release may have occurred in one or two stages, depending on the sample thickness and that a longer experimental times may be required to elucidate the complete release pattern. Although a further and more detailed analysis need to be performed to better understand the controlled release behavior of 5FU/PGA composite, the current results have provided the possibility of utilizing melt processing as a tool to produce medical devices for successful drug delivery applications,

The purpose of the current study was to examine the relationship between sex-role orientation and recreation specialization among women. In detail, research was conducted to find the sex role orientation differentiation based on participation in baseball clubs and to find the relationship between recreational specialization and sex role orientation. A survey method was applied, where a total of 376 surveys were collected and analyzed both for women participating in baseball clubs and for ordinary women. In order to verify the hypothesis, confirmatory factor analysis, cluster analysis, independent t-test, and analysis of variance were applied. The results showed that women that did not participate in baseball club had higher nontraditional sex-role orientation recognition compared to women that participate in baseball club activity. Sex-role orientation based on recreational specialization was the lowest for women that did not participate in baseball club. Among women that participate in baseball club activity, groups with low specialization level had a high sex-role orientation. The post-hoc results have shown that the level of specialization(high, medium, low) had no difference on sex orientation, but the overall level of women that participate in baseball club was higher than ordinary women. Based on the results, the implications and future research directions were discussed.

항공 여행정보 시스템인 CRS(Computer Reservation System) 사용에 영향을 미치는 선택요인들에 대한 연구는 호스트 기능 및 여행사 업무영역 위주로 진행되어 왔다. 금번 연구는 선행연구를 기초로 CRS 환경의 변화와 치열한 경쟁상황을 반영하여 시스템 내부 뿐 아니라 외부 요인까지 종합하여 국내여행사의 CRS 이용자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 요인분석 결과 시스템요인, 교육/서비스요인, 정보콘텐츠요인, 외부정책요인, 영업/인센티브요인 등 5개 선택요인으,로 추출 집약되었다. 특히 CRS 환경 변화를 반영하여 부킹엔진설치와 거래처 설치 CRS 등이 외부정책요인으로 선정되었고, CRS 간 경쟁상황을 반영하여 여행사에 지급되는 인센티브요인이 주요 선택 요인으로 선정되었다. 이와 같은 연구 결과는 기존 연구와 차별화된 결과를 보여주고 있으나, 본 연구를 토대로 한 추가 설문조사 및 데이터 분석을 통해 선택요인 간 중요도 분석과 상호 영향관계 및 선택요인별 CRS별 만족도 분석 등 보다 깊이 있는 종합적인 연구가 필요하다. Past studies about factors affecting users` choice of CRS (Computer Reservation System) have been done largely over the system functions and travel agents` job scope. In this study, in addition to the system internal factors examined in the preceding studies, we conducted a survey to CRS users, travel agencies, to find out external factors related to competitive market environment that affect users` decision on CRS selection. As a result of factor analysis, we found 5 important factors ; system function, training/service, information/contents, policy, promotion/incentive. This factors were validated using statistical methods. Although this finding is significant, further research should be done on the factors affecting users` choice of CRS including importance of each factor, relationships among these factors, and their effects on user`s satisfaction.
