Effect of Amino Acids on Anoxia-induced Cell Injury

This study was undertaken to examine the effect of amino acids on anoxia-induced cell injury in rabbit renal cortical slices. In order to induce anoxic cell injury, slices were exposed to a 100% N_2 atmosphere and control slices were exposed to 100% O_2. Irreversible cell injury was estimated by measuring lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) release and alterations in renal cell function were examined by measuring p-aminohippurate (PAH) uptake. Anoxia caused the increase in LDH release in a time-dependent manner. Glycine and glutathione almost completely prevented anoxia-induced LDH release. Of amino acids tested, glycine and alanine exerted the protective effect against anoxia-induced cell injury. However, asparagine with amide side chain, leucine and valine with hydrocarbon side chain, and basic amino acids (lysine, histidine, and arginine) were not effective. Anoxia-induced inhibition of PAH uptake was prevented by glycine. ATP content was decreased by anoxia, which was not affected by glycine. Anoxia-induced deplection of glutathione was significantly prevented by glycine. These results suggest that neutral amino acids with simple structure exert the protective effect against anoxia-induced cell injury the involvement of specific interaction of amino acids and cell structure.

본 연구에서는 우리 나라 청소년들에게 적합한 소비자 교육내용 선정에 있어 기존 연구의 학교교육 내용영역과 함께 현재 사회교육기관 및 각 단체에서 실시되고 있는 소비자교육내용체계를 분석하였으니, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청소년들의 총체적인 소비자교육요구도는 조사결과 높게 나타났다. 이것은 현 학교교육이 입시위주로 실시되어 소비자교육이 충분히 이루어지지 않고 있음을 나타내는 것이라 할 수 있다. 둘째, 고등학교의 경우 인문계와 실업계에 따라 선택하는 교과목에 따라 현재 학생들이 접하게 되는 소비자 교육내용도 범위가 제한되므로 모든 학생들이 계열과는 무관하게 쉽게 접할 수 있는 교과목을 선정, 소비자교육내용을 강화하는 것이 가장 효율적인 방법이 될 것이다. 셋째, 소비자교육자와 교육프로그램개발자는 학습대상자인 칭소년소비자가 속한 특성에 관심을 갖고 그들의 요구와 관련하여 교육프로그램을 개발하여야 한다는 것이다. 연구결과에서 나타났듯이 청소년소비자들은 그들의 특성에 따라 각기 다양한 요구도를 가지고 있다. 넷째, 소비자주의 태도가 학습자의 소비자교육요구도에 많은 영향을 미침을 볼 때, 학교 및 사회교육차원에서 소비자주의에 대한 보다 긍정적인 태도를 갖도록 교육시켜야 한다. The purpose of this study is to analyze consumer education needs of the adolescents for developing consumer education program. Because this study is intended to answer the question of variations in needs among the educational content categories, it would provide practitioners and program developers with information about how consumer needs are likely to change in accordance with educational content categories. It may also help researchers to understand differences in consumer education need among high school adolescents. To survey of this study was conducted by means of interview with 400 high school students in Seoul. Cases whose responses to questions about the education needs and consumerism here incomplete were excluded, resulting in 365 questionnaires. The sample was collected from high school students in Seoul. The data were analyzed by frequency percentile, Mean, T-test, F-test, ANOVA and Duncan’s Multiple Test though the SAS PC program system package(version 6.03).

Choiyeolbujeon, Gimjanggunjeon and Dongniseonsaengjeon have common point. Firstly, main characters show a 'lack' before they accomplish their tasks related faith(fidelity or filial duty). This 'lack' does not exist for the formula that 'they accomplished it despite the 'lack'. To make the formula correct, the lack should have been means for faith to achieve Confucianism, and the theme of Jeon should definitely have sticked to the Confucianism. However, three Jeon of Josusam do not hold faith, fidelity and filial duty as a result of 'lack', but purity and immersion of characters. The results of the purity and immersion are only connected to public ideology, i.e., faith, fidelity and filial duty. Secondly, these three Jeon do not concentrate on the Confucianism of 'faith, fidelity and filial duty'. Regardless of purity, immersion and confucian ideology by education, Josusam considers unfair judgement about the results of 'faith, fidelity and filial duty'. Finally, Josusam keeps his distance from conservative Jeon which generally describes confucian characters, but he criticizes the unfair world preferring ideological judgement about people's life. Therefore, the understanding his five Jeon that they have a contradiction between confucian ideology and free spirit is a result of superficial reading. This superficial understanding might derive from the author Josusam's characteristics intending the suggestive subject by organization and literary style instead of straight exposure.
