        We evaluated the efficacy of the liquid form of enrofloxacin against poultry respiratory and digestive infections, the major problems in the poultry industry, from diverse diagnosis viewpoints. Results obtained through this study were as follows: 1. The liquid form of enrofloxacin showed good acceptability to poultry owing to no abhorrence to the drug by chickens, which indicated its suitability for mixing in drinking water. 2. The application of the enrofloxacin formulation improved the productivity of the chicken farm to a great extent by lowering the death toll of chicken raised in the farm. 3. The use of the drug shortened the days to the market, and increased the body weight at the time of marketing. 4. Preventive and therapeutic effects of the liquid enrofloxacin were observed higher than ampicillin, a major antibiotic used in poultry farming. From above results, the liquid form of enrofloxacin would find its use for the prevention and treatment of digestive and respiratory infections, let alone the growth promotion and feed efficiency, especially in the chicken farming practice.

        In this study the antimicrobial spectrum and sensitivity of a liquid formulation of enrofloxacin against the major six pathogenic bacteria isolated from the diseased poultry in Korea were evaluated in comparison with ciprfloxacin (CFX), gentamicin (GM) and penicillin (PC). A liquid form of enrofloxacin, a test material and ciprofloxacin showed at least 83% antibacterial activity against all of six test pathogenic microorganisms at the fixed concentration of 10 ㎍/㎖. Gentamicin and penicillin revealed much lower antibacterial activity at the same condition. We evaluated the liquid form of enrofloxacin as having widespread antibacterial spectrum against poultry infections. The liquid form of enrofloxacin showed potent antibacterial activity, with the MIC range being 0.12∼2 ㎍/㎖ against Gram positives, 0.06∼2 ㎍/㎖ against Gram negatives and 0.5∼2 ㎍/㎖ against Mycoplasma spp. These values were equivalent to or somewhat higher than those of ciprofloxacin, but much lower than those of gentamicn and penicillin. This new liquid form of enrofloxacin would find its way in application of mixing with drinking water for the prevention and treatment of diverse infections in chickens.

      • 체지방 측정기(Futrex-1000 body fat tester)로 측정한 소아의 체지방율에 관한 연구 : 학동기와 청소년기 아동을 대상으로

        Using the infrared interactance(NIR method), the percentage body fat in 1,401 Korean children, aged 6-18years, was evaluated for normal and standard values. Correlation of percentage of body fat with age, weight, height, overweight(%), Kaup index and Rohrer index was also analyzed. The following results were obtained ; 1) In all the subject, weight and height showed standard growth(50-90 percentile) compared to growth data of korean children. 2) The percentage of body fat was decreased with increasing age and was measured higher in female than male. 3) The percentage of body fat was decreased with increasing height in both sex. 4) The percentage of body fat correlated negatively with age, heght, weight in both sex. In boys, the Rohrer index appeared to have a significant positive correlation with the percentage of body fat. (r=0.52454) In girls, the overweight(%) appeared to have a significant positive correlation with percentage of body fat. (r=0.56994) The Kaup index had no correlation with the percentage of body fat. This NIR method is safe, non-invasive, rapid, easy to use, and may be useful predict percentage of body fat, especially in the mass screening.

        The slit moving apparatus which determine the advantage of opt-sentive material in sensitometry was produced and was compared to the distance scale method which has low variation in accuracy and in reproduction, and the results showed that the unique value agree. The slit moving apparatus is expect to reduce space which needs widely for sensitometry in distance scale method and improve convince to user.

      • Explicit M.R.A.C. 알고리즘에 의한 공정제어의 개선

        Pade-Type Approximation을 이용하여 새로운 기준모델 적응 제어계를 디자인하였다. 공정의 파라미터를 모르는 상태에서 제어계를 디자인하여 이로부터 제어목적을 만족시키는 Identity방정식을 유도하여 이조건을 만족시키는 파라미터를 반복적으로 추정하였다. 이 결과 추정할 공정의 파라미터 갯수를 줄이는 효과를 얻을 수 있다. 기존의 방법과 새로운 방법을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션으로 나타내었다. New design of MRAC for achieving independent tracking and regulation objectives by applying Pade-Type Approximation in the controller parameter estimation is presented. The design of the controller is done with the unknown plant parameters from the first. The result of the design is a simple control scheme with the reduction of estimation parameters. The performance of new control structure in tracking and regulation is compared with the other method by computer simulation.

        전자 디지털 컴퓨터가 발명된 지 40년 여년이 지났고 현재의 컴퓨터는 모든 기능을 그래픽 환경에서 구현하고 있으며, 여러 가지 부가적인 기능을 가지고 있다. 초기의 수치계산에 치우쳤던 컴퓨터의 기능은 지금은 많은 멀티미디어 기능을 내장하고 있다. 수치계산에서 문서화 작업, 자동제어, 음악, 그림에 이르기까지 앞으로의 용도를 예측하기 어려울 정도다. 처음에는 영어 철자나 기호 등을 이용해 점자같은 처리를 했던 그래픽이 지금은 모든 것을 표현하는 완벽한 예술의 도구로 자리잡았다. 기존의 이미지 뷰어에서는 정영상과 동영상에 별도의 틀이 있었지만, 통합 환경은 없었다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 포맷의 디스플레이, 확대, 축소, 프린트 기능과 동영상을 디스플레이할 수 있는 통합 환경을 구현하였다.

      • TLD의 제작과 전자선의 흡수선량 분포 측정

        In this study, the highly sensitive CaSO₄:Tm-PTFE TLDs has been fabricated for the purpose of measurement of high energy electron. CaSO₄:Tm phosphor powder was mixed with polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) powder and moulded in a disk type(diameter 8.5㎜, thickness 90㎎/㎠) by cold pressing. The batch uniformities were average deviation 3.1%. The TLDs were determined to be R_(100)=14.5㎜, R_(50)=24.1㎜ and R_(p)=31.8㎜, respectively. The beam flatness were 4.5% as the variation of dose relative to the central axis over the central 80% of the field size at a maximum dose depth in a plane perpendicular to the central axis.

        The helicopter system is non-linear and complex. Futhermore, because of absence of an accurate mathematical model, it is difficult accurately to control its attitude. Therefore, we propose a fuzzy control technique to control efficiently its elevation angle and azimuth one. This controller is on the basis of expert's knowledges and his experiences. The simulation results using MATLAB are introduced.
