        This study was designed to exam the aged's needs for spiritual nursing care. The purpose was to serve as a basis for the development of spiritual nursing practice. The major findings are as follows : 1. The degree of needs for spiritual nursing care as area was that needs of love and relationship mean 22.0, needs of meaning and object mean 28.2, needs of forgiving mean 13.5. Total needs for spiritual nursing care mean 63.7, which was on the upper middle level. The needs of meaning and object was rated highest. 2. Among the general characteristics of the subjects, needs of love and relatiohship wasn't significanlty different. 3. Among the general characteristics of the subjects, needs of meaning and object was significantly different according to two factors : age(F=7.260, p=0.001), religion(F=5.275, p=0.001). Higher needs of meaning and object was possessed by the older than the younger, by the one who have religion than the other. 4. Among the general characteristics of the subjects, four factors made a significantly difference to needs of forgiving : sex(t=-2.851, p=0.006), age(F=8.201, p=0.001), religion(F=6.928, p=0.000), disease(t=2.327, p=0.024). Higher needs of forgiving was possessed by man than woman, by the older than the younger, by the one who have religion than the other, by the one who have disease than the other.

      • 光質이 채소作物의 種子發芽와 初期生育 및 除草劑의 活性에 미치는 效果

        Studies were conducted to investigate the response of some horticultural plants to various light qualities provided by different kind of materials such as cellophane sheets, EVA, PVC(polyvinyl chloride, and polyethylene (PE) films of different color. Major findings are summarized as follows. White fluorescence light and red light promoted seed germination of lettuce and inhibited that of radish seeds. Blue light inhibited the seed germination of both types of light-sensitive seeds. The light sensitivity varied considerably depending upon the kind of crops, cultivars, and the seed batches of the same cultivar. The blue light was equally or more strongly effective in inhibiting the seed germination as compared to the farred light. The growth of young seedlings developed from seeds was considerably promoted when grown under orange colored plastic film coverings. The growth of larger seedlings was, however, not influenced by the color of plastic films. Mulching pepper field with colored PVC film did not show further advantages over the commonly-used black PE film. Herbicidal activity of oxyfluorfen was very strong under natural light or red light conditions' and weak under blue or green light conditions. The degree of oxyfluorfen-induced phytotoxicity varied considerably depending upon the light quality and the kind of vegetable crops.

        The drag reduction by polymer additive is a well-known phenomenon and has been widely studied due to its high usefulness. In this study, in order to obtain the fundamental data on the drag reduction by polymer additive. we measured the friction factors in the polymer added turbulent flow through a circular pipe for Reynolds number ranging 10000-50000. As polymer additive, PEO (polyethylene oxide: molecular weight 4 x l0^(6)) was used. We also performed the experiments varying the concentration of PEO from 3 to 24 wppm to investigate the effect of the PEO concentration on the drag reduction. We observed more than 25% drag reduction under the above experimental conditions and the most effective drag reduction was found at 6 wppm (31% drag reduction).

        Our nation is included in oriental cultural boundary and has a considerably individual and creative characteristic, comparing with other oriental countries. However, our culture does not show its reality under Japanese shadow due to the frailty of weak race and the lacking of theoretical consideration. In this aspect, this research compares our culture with Japanese culture so that it recognizes the excellence of our culture and generates the necessity of finding out the concrete fact that each country has its own identity and object despite the similarity of orientalism. Especially, among them, Hangjangmoo is the representative dance drama in the orient and has a unique aimed structure with a special channel that various dramas played by common people at the end of Josun dynasty were flowed in the royal court. Corresponding this kind of dance drama with similar structure, Gabuki is the representative dance drama of Japanese traditional art and has a complex and live tradition of Japanese culture so that it contains a deep and unique culture of Japan more than other Japanese arts. Therefore, this research compares the composing factors in public performance between Hangjangmoo in Korea and Gabuki in Japan, and through this, it investigates the similarity and difference and furthermore plans to generate the recognition of dance drama, reviving and develop the tradition beyond the simple succession. The result of this are described as follows. 1. After comparing the dance movement, it can be found that both in Hangjangmoo and Gabuki, there are scuffle, fierce dance movement, and action with fighting sword. 2. While the costume of Hangjangmoo shows the personality and social position of characters, Gabuki describes these ones through make-up and wig.

        Chloral hydrate와 Midazolam의 경구투여시 진정효과에 대한 비교

        전신상태가 양호하며 2회 이상의 치료가 필요한 남아 10명, 여아 12명 총 22명의 환아를 대상으로 chloral hydrate(Pocral^(�) syrup, 한림제약) 60mg/kg와 hydroxyzine(Ucerax^(�)정, 한국 유씨비제약) 25mg을 병용투여한 군과 midazolam(Dormicum^(�), 주, 한국로슈) 0.5mg/kg과 hydroxyzine(Ucerax^(�) syrup, 한국 유씨비제약) 25mg을 병용투여한 군을 각각 Ⅰ군과 Ⅱ군으로 구분하였다. 약물 투여 30분 후 치과치료를 시행하였으며 치료과정을 6단계로 구분하여 각 단계별로 수면지수와 울음지수, 움직임지수, 전반적인 행동지수를 측정, 비교하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 전반적인 행동지수를 기준으로 성공률을 평가한 결과 Ⅰ군은 59.2%, Ⅱ군은 77.3%의 성공률을 보였다(p<0.05). 2. 수면지수는 Ⅰ군에서 평균 1.81±0.93으로 Ⅱ군의 1.44±0.69에 비해 유의하게 깊은 수면상태를 보였다(p<0.05). 3. 울음지수, 움직임지수, 전반적인 행동지수는 군 간에 유의한 차이가 없었다(p>0.05). 4. 성별에 따른, 연령에 따른 군 간에 유의한 차이가 없었다(p>0.05). 위와 같은 결과를 종합하여 볼 때 midazolam의 경구투여는 적절한 진정효과를 가지는 방법으로 어린환자의 치과치료시 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. The purpose of present study was to compare the sedative effect of chloral hydrate and oral midazolam treatment. The study was conducted on twenty two child patients who required at least two visits. All the patients showed a good physical status (ASA-I). The patient was randomly assigned to receive drug either chloral hydrate 60mg/kg and hydroxyzine 25mg(Group Ⅰ) or midazolam 0.5mg/kg and hydroxyzine 25mg(Group Ⅱ) at each visit. Treatment procedures were divided into six stages. In each stage, sleep, crying, movement and overall behavior score were evaluated. The overall results can be summarized as follows: 1. Success rate was 59.9% in group Ⅰ and was 77.8% in Group Ⅱ. 2. Mean sleep score was 1.81±0.93 in group Ⅰ and was 1.44±0.69 in group Ⅱ (P<0.05). 3. Through all treatment procedures, no significant difference was observed between group Ⅰ and group Ⅱ in terms of crying, movement and overall behavior score(P>0.05). 4. There was no significant difference between the sex and the age(P>0.05). In regard to above results, oral midazolam considered to be a valuable drug as sedative agent in pediatric dentistry.

      • 稻熱病 抵抗性에 關한 硏究

        This study was made to investigate the degree of rice blast disease developing in various plants and also the relationship between the disease developing and the amount of content of nutrients in rice plants which were differently dressed. Possibility for culture of rice-blast race was studied and the structure of infected leaves were observed by electron microscope. 1) The varieties sampled, Pung-kwang, Jin-heung, Pal-tal, Pung-ok and Tong-il, were seeded and cultivated in pots. When fifth or sixth leaf emerged, the races of blast T,C,N were innoculated in all varieties. In dressing test Pung-ok, which leas susceptible to blast, was dressed with nitrogen fertilizer in ordinary and twofold and in none-dressing or dressing of silicon fertilizer. When the fifth or sixth leaf was appeared, races T, C, N was innoculated in each varieties of pot. In all experiment the degree of infection was checked out according to the order of leaf, and at the same time, the relationship between the degree of disease developing and the contents of nutrients by determining the total nitrogen, total sugar, phosphoric acid, kalium, silicon dioxide soluble nitrogen and soluble sugar was studied. The occurance of symptom was relatively frequent in upper primary or secondary leaf in all varieties regardless of the kind of fertilizers or their dressing amount. Comparing the occurrencies of disease development in examined varieties, Jin heung was lowest and Pung-ok was highest, while Tong-il was completely free from the infection of the disease. The race T-type attacked most seriously the varieties of Jin-heung, Pal-Tal and Pung-kwang except Pung-ok, C-type was moderate and N-type was very weak in Pung-ok. In the amount of dressing, the occurance of disease was very rare in the rice plant of N-ordinary-silicon fertilizer dressed and frequent in that of nitrogen fertilizer-twofold-and-silicon fertilizer none dressed. The disease developing differed with the races, indicating T-type was most poweful, C-type moderate while N-type was weak. In the interaction between the contents of nutrients in riceplant and the degree of disease developing, Pung-ok, which was very abundant in nitrogen, phosporic acid, glutamic acid, asp artic acid glutamine, asparagine, cystine, serine and sucrose but little in sugar, kalium and silicondioxide, was most susceptible to the disease. Jin-heung, resistant one, was opposite to Pung-ok in all aspects. As a result there was a correlation between the kind or amount of nutrients in rice plant and the disease attack. According to the amount of dressed fertilizer, the rice plant dressed in N-twofold and silicon dioxide none dressed had the larger amounts of total nitrogen, phosphoric acid, aspartic acid, glutamic acid and gldtamine but little in sugar and silicon dioxide contents. While in the rice plant dressed with N-ordinary and silicon fertilizer. the tendancy of disease occuring was low respectively. 2) The study on the cultivation of race T,C,N in the media added such organic acid as succinic acid, valeric acid, malic acid, ketoglutaric acid and such phenolic chlorogenic acid and salicylic acid was made. The result of which was as follow: ① There were no differences in growth of T,C,N type races. ② In the media added organic acid the growth was favorable. ③ In the media added chlorogenic acid the growth was promoted but in the one added salicylic acid the growth was inhibited. 3) The morphological changes of the infected waves alls the structure of hypha of blast which had penetrated into the leaf cell of Pung-ok, which was susceptible one to the disease, was observed by electric microscope. The following facts were found. ① In healthy leaves normal nucleus, mitohcondria, chloroplast, entoplasmic reticulum, vacuole and cytoplasm, especially round substances, were chearly observed by electron microspcope. ② In the infected leaves, the space of the nucleus double memberance was enlarged, and some of the nucleu walls were destroyed. The thinlayer structure of glanalamelae in lamela system was enlarged, somewhere spates were appeared while stromas were disappeared. In mitochondria the spaces of the double membrance were enlarged. ③ Cytoplasm of cell which were attacked by hypha was completely destroyed and the hypha lost their normal structure. ④ In the structure of hypha which penetrated into the cell wall of epidermis, nucleus, mitochondria, round ectoplasmic reticulum, vacuole and substances were clearly observed.

        The natural convection driven by a thermal buoyancy force was investigated in a square cavity. The top and bottom walls are cold and hot. respectively. while the vertical boundaries are adiabatic. A control volume approach with a power-law scheme was used to formulate the finite difference equations. The results are presented isotherms. velocity vectors, Nusselt numbers and critical Rayleigh numbers for the ranges of Ra = 1750~20000 and Pr = 0.05~10.0. The critical Rayleigh number increases as Prandtl number decreases. There exists a clockwise unicell flow near critical Rayleigh number, while two cells appear for large Rayleigh number.
