This study was conducted to investigate the antitoxic component in methanol extract of Houttuynia cordata $T_{HUNB}$. The results were as follows: Generally, detoxication effects by Houttuynia cordata $T_{HUNB}$ methanol extract increased in proportion to the methanol extract concentrations. When 40 mg/kg dosage of Houttuynia cordata $T_{HUNB}$ methanol extract was administrated, it showed the highest antitoxic effects in metallothionein induction. After the methanol extract treatment. Body weights increased in proportion to methanol extract concentrations. However, after 3 weeks, the body weight decreased insignificantly. From the above results, these results suggest that the methanol extract of Houttuynia cordata $T_{HUNB}$ increased metallothionein concentration and decreased the toxicity of cadmium in rats.

This study was carried out to evaluate antitoxic effects of Houttuynia cordata extract on cadmium by colorimetric methods. The antitoxic activity ofc in NIH 3T3 fibroblasts was evaluated by MTT (3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl-2H-tetrazolium bromide) and SRB (sulforhodamine B protein) assays. The light microscopic study was carried out to observe morphological changes of the treated cells. The concentration of 10-2 mg/ml of Houttuynia cordata extract was shown significant antitoxic activity. The number of NIH 3T3 fibroblasts were antitoxic and tend to regenerate. These results suggest that the ethyl acetate extract of Houttuynia cordata retains a potential antitoxic activity.

Inborn errors of metabolism (IEM) are very rare and genetically transmitted diseases and have man y different symptoms related with multisystemic involvement. More rarely, endocrinopathies can be an early and first symptom of IEM, but presents with signs of later complications in adolescent or adulthood. The mechanisms of endocrine dysfunction in IEM are poorly understood. Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism is common in hemochromatosis, adrenoleukodystrophy, galactosemia, and glycogen storage disease. Many girls with classic galactosemia are at high risk for premature ovarian insufficiency (POI), despite an early diagnosis and good control. Mitochondrial diseases are multisystem disorders and are characterized by hypo- and hypergonadotrophic hypogonadism, thyroid dysfunction and insulin dysregulation. Glycogen storage disorders (GSDs), especially type Ia, Ib, III, V are assocciated with frequent hypoglycemic events. IEM is a growing field and is not yet well recognized despite its consequences for growth, bone metabolism and fertility. For this reason, clinicians should be aware of these diagnoses and potential endocrine dysfunction.
PHC 파일 두부정리 자동화 장비 개선에 관한 실험적 연구

최근 국내 $\cdot$ 외의 경우 기성 콘크리트 파일(PHC) 두부정리 작업의 생산성, 안전성 및 품질 향상을 위해 자동화 장비를 개발중에 있다. 그러나 기존에 개발된 두부정리 자동화 장비는 두부정리 전 작업과정 중 파일 파쇄만을 자동화 대상 작업으로 하고 있고, 파일 파쇄를 위한 말단장치(end-effector) 설계의 오류로 종 방향 균열을 발생시키는 등 문제점이 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 기존 두부정리 자동화 장비가 PHC 파일에 종 방향 균열을 발생시키는 원인은 PHC 파일의 물리적 특성을 고려한 자동화 장비 말단장치의 설계 및 제작, 배치가 제대로 이루어지지 못했기 때문인 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 최근 국내에서 개발 중인 PHC 파일 두부정리 자동화 장비의 파일롯타입(pilot type)을 대상으로 다양한 형태의 말단장치를 설계 및 제작하고, 실험실 실험을 통해 최적의 말단장치 조합을 제안함으로써 종 방향 균열 없이 PHC 파일 두부를 효과적으로 그라인딩하고 파쇄할 수 있도록 하는 자동화 장비의 프로토타입을 제시하는 것이다. 본 연구를 통해 제시된 PHC 파일 두부정리 자동화 장비가 개발되어 현장에 적용될 경우, 기존 두부정리 작업의 생력화를 통한 품질, 안전성, 생산성 향상 및 이를 통한 경제성 확보가 가능할 것으로 기대된다. Several advanced countries have been continually developed PHC pile cutting automation machines for improving productivity, safety and quality of the conventional PHC pile cutting work. However, the target work of the previously developed PHC pile cutting automation machines is only crushing the head of PHC pile. Dangerous grinding work is still performed by workers with seven inch hand grinder. In domestic construction industry, the PHC pile cutting work is usually performed by a crusher and three to four skilled workers. Recent analysis results of the PHC pile cutting work reveal that it frequently makes a lot of cracks which significantly reduce the strength of the pile and is labor-intensive work. The primary objective of this study is to propose the end-effector which can effectively break PHC pile without any longitudinal cracks and to develop an automated pile cutting machine having unified grinder and crusher parts through a wide variety of laboratory and field tests. It is anticipated that the development of the automated pile cutting machine would be able to bring improvements in safety, productivity, quality as well as cost saving.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate both the occurrence status of emergency vehicles traffic accidents and contents of the experiences of emergency medical technicians (EMTs) in fire station. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 451 EMTs in fire stations in 6 cities provinces from February 9, 2017 to February 27, 2017. Results: Of 451 EMTs, 207 (45.9%) had traffic accidents experience. Regarding environment-related features, results indicated hour (12~18 hours), place (national highway), traffic flow (smooth), weather (clear), season (winter), and day (Friday). Regarding correlation analysis of differences in the number of ambulance traffic accidents pursuant to general features of accident-experienced drivers as a human factor, there were no significant differences in recruitment, driving careers of regular cars, driving careers of fire engines, and class but there were significant differences in fire-fighting careers. Accident experience in the group with careers over 6 years and less than 10 years higher than in the other groups. Conclusion: Efforts to expand fire engine driving education programs for the prevention of traffic accidents involving 119 emergency vehicles are required.

본 논문에서는 쌍동형 카페리에 대한 기본구조설계 및 구조해석을 위한 기법을 제시한다. 카페리와 같이 길이가 50미터 이상이고, 길이/폭의 비가 12보다 큰 중/소형 고속선박의 강도해석에 대한 규정이나 방법론은 아직까지 명확하게 제시되지 않고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 한국선급 규정을 이용하여 부재 스캔틀링을 수행하였고, 설계안에 대한 구조강도 검증을 위해서 카페리 전용선박 기준을 추가적으로 적용하여 검토하였다. 특히, 카페리 전용선박 기준을 이용하여, 선체거더 최종강도를 추가적으로 수행하였으며, 기존 기준에 의한 설계의 모호성을 극복하도록 제안하였다. 본 연구를 통해 도출된 연구 결과는 앞으로 고속 쌍동형 카페리의 구조설계 및 구조해석에 관련된 기본적인 자료로 유용하게 활용될 것으로 예상되며, 현재 설계된 쌍동형 카페리의 부재 치수는 한국선급 기준에 충분히 만족하면서 구조적으로 안전하다. This paper suggests study of basic structure design and structural analysis for the twin car-ferries. The rules and methodology for the strength analysis of medium and small sized high speed vessels with a length of more than 50m and a length/width ratio of more than 12, such as car-ferries, have not been clarified yet. Therefore, in this paper, the members scantling were carried out using the KR Rule, and the car-ferry exclusive vessel standard were further applied to verify the structural strength the design. The scantling of the members is based on the Korea Classification standards, and the car-ferries standards were additionally applied to verify the structural strength of the design. Especially, the ultimate strength of hull girder was additionally carried out by using car-ferry exclusive vessel standard, and proposed to overcome ambiguity of design by existing standard. The results of this study are expected to be useful as basic data related to structural design and structural analysis of high speed twin-hull car-ferries. The present car-ferry design has a sufficient safety margin in strength point of view according to the KR rule.
