Purpose: Emergency medical technicians (EMTs) have so far been trained as professionals under the same conditions, with no change in the 1995 Act. We aimed to find ways for them to secure expertise in accordance with social needs by strengthening the quality of the EMT education. Methods: This is a descriptive study comparing the operation status of the national emergency medical examination conducted by the Korea Health Personnel Licensing Examination Institute, and the national examinations of EMT paramedic and EMT basic. The scope of the national examinations for EMT was compared by subject and area. Results: The national written exam for EMT paramedic consists of five areas. EMT basic does not include basic medicine in three related subjects, 11 areas, and 18 detail areas. Paramedic care does not include advanced pediatric life support. In addition, nine areas and 20 detail areas are not included. Conclusion: The study suggests the need for institutional supplementation so that those who have completed EMT basic and the subjects prescribed by the ordinance of the Ministry of Health and Welfare at universities, etc., in the Higher Education Act can take the EMT paramedic national exam.

본고에서는 4G/5G/WiFi 무선 통신의 C RAN(Centralized/Cloud Radio Access Network)을 지원하는 xhaul망에서의 이더넷 응용 기술에 대해 분석한다. xhaul에서의 요구사항을 고찰하고, 이를 충족시키기 위한 이더넷 응용으로서 RoE(Radio over Ethernet)을 중심으로 한 기술 분석과 함께, 그 외 프론트홀 전송 기술을 알아봄으로써, xhaul에서의 이더넷의 응용과 더불어 기타 차세대 무선 망 기술과 함께 유무선 융합 전송 기술에 대한 방향을 타진해 보도록 한다.

데이터센터의 구축이 급증함에 따라 원격으로 서버를 관리하는 베이스보드 관리 컨트롤러 (BMC)의 빠른 부팅이 중요해지고 있다. BMC의 부팅 시간이 길어질수록 데이터센터에 구축된 서버들의 제어를 위한 대기 시간이 커지므로 BMC는 빠른 부팅이 지원되어야 한다. BMC의 부팅 시간 단축을 위해서는 하이버네이션 기법을 사용할 수 있다. 그러나 BMC마다 메모리 사용량이 일정하지 않으므로 기존 하이버네이션 기법을 그대로 BMC에 적용하기는 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 메모리 사용량이 최소가 되는 주기를 기반으로 더 빠른 부팅이 가능한 하이브리드 부팅 기법을 제안한다. 제안한 기법은 메모리 사용량이 최소가 될 것으로 예상되는 시점에 하이버네이션 기반 부팅과 콜드 부팅 중 더 빠른 부팅을 수행함으로써 부팅 시간을 최소화한다. 실험을 통해 제안한 부팅 기법이 기존 하이버네이션 기반 부팅에 비해 전체 부팅 시간을 최대 20% 단축시킬 수 있음을 보인다.
Injury pyramid of unintentional injuries according to sex and age in South Korea

Objective The injury-related disease burden in South Korea is relatively high compared to that in other nations. This study was conducted to identify the scale and causes of injury by severity, using an injury pyramid and analyzing the sex and age-dependent differences and the basic demographic characteristics. Methods Unintentional injury was estimated for each group after classifying injury-related deaths, hospitalizations, and outpatient department (OPD) visits based on their severity. The injury pyramid was calculated by classifying the injury outcomes into deaths, hospitalizations, and outpatient visits. Results The incidence of unintentional injury included 31.74 deaths, 1,715.27 hospitalizations, and 7,317.55 OPD visits per 100,000 persons. The incidence of injury was higher among males than that among females. There were more hospitalizations and OPD visits than deaths among females. The mortality and hospitalization rates due to injury per 100,000 persons were the highest among those ≥75 years old, and the OPD visit rate was the highest among preschool children aged 0 to 6 years. The injury mechanisms that caused most deaths and hospitalizations in South Korea were injuries related to traffic, falls, poisoning, and burns/fires. Conclusion The scale of unintentional injury varies based on sex, age, and injury mechanism; additionally there are differences in the incidence of injuries between males and females depending on their age and injury mechanism. The high incidence of injury in elderly people could be a factor that increases the burden of injury in South Korea; hence, it is necessary to develop an injury prevention program that targets the elderly.

We study the surface and interfacial morphology of a bulk heterojunction (BHJ) layer with the solvent additive effect by using the X-ray reflectivity and the grazing incidence X-ray scattering techniques. The BHJ layer consists of poly(4,8-bis[(2-ethylhexyl)oxy]benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b$'$]dithiophene-2,6-diyl-alt-3-fluoro-2-[(2-ethylhexyl)carbonyl] thieno[3,4-b]thiophene-4,6-diyl) (PTB7) and $[6,6]$-phenyl C$_{71}$-butyric acid methyl ester (PC$_{71}$BM) deposited on a poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene): poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) coated Si substrate. An interfacial layer with a low electron density is observed between the BHJ and PEDOT:PSS layers, which becomes less distinct when the additive 1,8-diiodooctane (DIO) is added to the film processing solvent. This result indicates that DIO causes PC$_{71}$BM to become more uniformly distributed throughout the entire BHJ layer. The surface roughness of the BHJ significantly decreases with increasing addition of DIO. The understanding of the surface and interfacial morphology gives an important clue to improving the structures and efficiency.
