        디자인계열 전문대생의 취업준비행동과 취업준비장벽에 관한 연구

        4차 산업혁명과 디지털 전환 등으로 인해 창의성에 기반한 직무역량이 요구되는 현시점에 대학생의 취업준비 상황과 장벽을 재조명해 보는 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구는 수업연한이 짧아 취업준비에 큰 부 담감을 가지며, 공무원 시험이나 자격증 등 정해진 경로에 의한 취업준비보다는 창의적인 작품활동에 많은 영향을 받는 디자인계열 전문대생을 대상으로 그들이 어떠한 취업준비행동을 수행하며, 취업을 준비하는 데 겪는 어려움과 힘든 점은 무엇인지 등 그들의 취업준비 현상을 포괄적으로 연구하였다. 이 를 위해 경기도 지역의 디자인 대학 최종학년 34명의 취업준비행동과 수준 및 노력, 진로상담, 어려움 등을 조사하고, 폐쇄형 응답자료는 빈도분석과 기술통계를, 개방형 응답자료는 질적분석을 실시하였다. 주요 결론은 첫째, 디자인계열 전문대생의 취업준비 활동은 평균 5건으로, 절반 이상이 학점관리 (67.6%)와 디자인툴 공부(64.7%), 졸업작품 준비(55.9%), 포트폴리오 제작(52.9%), 공모전 준비(52.9%) 등에 참여하였다. 둘째, 디자인계열 전문대생의 취업준비 수준과 노력(10점 기준)은 각 5.38, 5.61로 보 통 이내 수준이었다. 취업준비 노력이 부족한 이유는 대부분 학업과 아르바이트 병행으로 시간 부족을 호소하였고, 아르바이트를 하지 않더라도 학업과 졸업작품, 현장실습 등 짧은 수업연한 동안 다양한 활 동을 수행해야 하는 절대적인 시간 부족을 호소하였다. 셋째, 진로상담을 받은 학생은 61.8%로, 4.4개 유형의 상담자로부터 상담을 받았다(친구 73.5%, 교수 64.7%, 가족친척 52.9%, 지인 38.2%, 선배 26.5%, 업계전문가 11.8% 순). 넷째, 취업준비 어려움에 대한 폐쇄형, 개방형 응답을 취업준비 장벽으 로 범주화한 결과, ①취업정보 부족, ②진로명확성 부족, ③진로미결정(취업분야 미결정, 취업·진학 미 결정), ④직업비전 불확실성, ⑤전공흥미 부족, ⑥경제적 어려움, ⑦나이가 어려 다양한 경험 희망, ⑧대 인관계 어려움, ⑨전문대 수업연한이 짧아 시간 부족, ⑩디자인 실력과 자신감 부족, ⑪학업매진으로 에너지 고갈, ⑫이력서·자소서·면접 어려움, ⑬취업필요성 인식 부족, ⑭혼자서 취업준비 어려움, ⑮기 타 군문제 및 영어공부 등 15개 장벽을 도출하였다. 연구의 의의는 취업준비 관련 진단도구에 가려져 있는 대학생들의 취업준비행동과 장벽을 포괄적으 로 탐색하였으며, 특히 취업준비장벽 선행연구에서 다루지 않았던 디자인계열 전문대생의 새로운 취업 준비장벽(디자인 장벽, 번아웃 장벽) 도출은 다양한 후속연구 필요성을 시사한다고 볼 수 있다. At a time when job competencies based on creativity are required due to the 4th Industrial Revolution and digital transformation, research is needed to reexamine the employment preparation status and barriers of college students. In this study, design-related college students, who feel a great burden in preparing for employment due to the short period of study, and who are more influenced by creative work activities than preparing for employment through established channels such as civil service exams or certifications, were asked to find out what kind of employment preparation activities they do and the difficulties they face. Research was conducted to find out what it is. For this purpose, we analyzed the employment preparation behavior, level and effort, career counseling, and difficulties of 34 final year design college students in the Gyeonggi-do region. Frequency analysis and descriptive statistics were conducted on closed-ended response data, and qualitative analysis was conducted on open-ended response data. The main conclusions of this study are: First, the average number of employment preparation activities for design-related college students is 5, with more than half of them engaging in grade management (67.6%), design tool study (64.7%), graduation work preparation (55.9%), portfolio creation (52.9%), and contest preparation (52.9%). Second, the level of employment preparation and effort (based on 10 points) of design-related college students was within the average level, at 5.38 and 5.61, respectively. The reason for the lack of effort to prepare for employment was that most students complained of a lack of time due to concurrent studies and part-time work. Even if they did not work part-time, they complained of an absolute lack of time as they had to carry out various activities during the short period of study, such as studies, graduation projects, and field training. Third, 61.8% of students received career counseling, and they received counseling from 4.4 types of counselors (friends 73.5%, professors 64.7%, family relatives 52.9%, acquaintances 38.2%, seniors 26.5%, and industry experts 11.8%). Fourth, as a result of categorizing closed and open-ended responses regarding difficulties in employment preparation into employment preparation barriers, 15 barriers were identified, ① lack of employment information, ② lack of career clarity, ③ career indecision (undecided on field of employment, undecided on employment/admission), ④ uncertainty about career vision, ⑤ lack of interest in major, ⑥ financial difficulties, ⑦ young age and hope for diverse experiences, ⑧ difficulty with interpersonal relationships, ⑨ lack of time due to short period of classes at junior college, ⑩ lack of design skills and confidence, ⑪ depletion of energy due to concentration in studies, ⑫ resume, cover letter, interview difficulties, ⑬ lack of awareness of the need for employment, ⑭ difficulty preparing for employment on one's own, ⑮ other military issues, and studying English. The significance of the study is to comprehensively explore college students' employment preparation behaviors and barriers that are hidden in diagnostic tools related to employment preparation. In particular, new employment preparation barriers (design barriers, burnout barriers) of design-related college students that were not covered in previous studies on employment preparation barriers. The results can be seen as suggesting the need for various follow-up studies.

        체육계열 대학생의 사회적 지지와 학교생활적응이 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of social support and college life adjustment on career preparation behavior among college students in physical education department, in order to help them establish a systematic course of career and provide them with basic data for career preparation. The analysis has been conducted with the subject of 618 college students in department of physical education and the results are as follows; First, there were significant differences in the degree of career preparation behavior according to individual characteristics. Upper-year groups have higher degree of career preparation behavior. field-experienced students have higher degree of career preparation behavior. As for career ambition and career preparation behavior, PE majors have the highest degree of career search, and then come graduate students and non-majors in order. Graduate students have the highest degree of career counseling and target behavior. Then come PE majors and non-majors in order. Second, social support has significant effects on career preparation behavior. Third, college life adjustment has significant effects on career preparation behavior. Consequently, the college authorities and professors should continue their interest in and effort for enhancing social support and college life adjustment for the right career preparation behavior among college students in physical education department.

        일반고 학생의 진로지원 만족도, 진학준비도, 진로성숙도, 희망전공 입학의 관계 분석: 서울시를 중심으로

        The purpose of this study is to explore the direct or indirect effect with college entrance preparation, career maturity which is between career support and desired college major admission of high school students in seoul area. To accomplish this purpose, a survey was conducted with 1,395 students at high school. It is analyze the hypothetical structural to relation with career support, college entrance preparation, career maturity, desired college major admission. The results of this study are as follows. First, it represents that the career counselling among career support has significant effect on college entrance preparation, career maturity. Second, career experience has significant effect on college entrance preparation. Third, college entrance preparation has significant effect on career maturity And career maturity has significant effect desired college major entrance. Fourth, college entrance preparation and career maturity has mediation effect between career support and desired college major entrance. Consequentially, it shows the possibility liner causality that the mediation factor give the significant effect on desired college major entrance. Based on this results, we should offer various strategies and ways to increase desired college major entrance rate. Implications for further career support were discussed.

        펜데믹 기간 대학교육 만족도가 청년의 취업준비 활동과 사회참여에 끼치는 영향

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of college education satisfaction on the employment preparation and social participation of young adults during the pandemic period. To accomplish this research purpose, the researcher used the panel data of Korea Youth Policy Institute and analyzed the eight variables related to college education satisfaction, employment preparation, and social participation. This study’s sample consisted of a total of 2,941 individuals, and both structural equation modeling and multigroup structural equation modeling were applied for the analysis. The results revealed that college education satisfaction had a significantly positive influence on the employment preparation activities and social participation of young adults. In the multigroup structural equation modeling analysis, it was found that college education satisfaction had a significantly positive impact on employment preparation and social participation for women, while for men, it only significantly affected employment preparation. Furthermore, college education satisfaction did not show significant effects on the employment preparation and social participation of graduates from junior colleges, but it did have a significantly positive impact on the employment preparation activities of graduates from four-year colleges. Based on these research findings, policy and educational interventions to enhance the college education satisfaction of male students and graduates from junior colleges are required.

        장애학생의 대학진학 준비경험 및 지원요구

        This research aims to study the experience of college students with disabilities preparing to advance into college. It investigates determining factors when selecting a college, preparing to advance into a college, any support received for college advancement, and the needs toward policies that address college advancement. A total of 60 students, including 20 high school students and 40 college students, participated in this research. According to research results, participants chose their majors with considerations to aptitude and the characteristics of their disability, and parents as well as teachers had the largest influence on choices regarding college advancement. Students prepared college advancement near the final year of high school and collected information on the internet. College students with disabilities suffered from difficulties including the lack of customized preparatory materials developed for the characteristics of different disabilities, and they complained the lack of information on college advancement due to the small number of programs that support college advancement at the school level. Compared to non-disabled students, policies to support college advancement of college students with disabilities were not implemented in an orderly manner, and students demanded the government to provide college information, resources to prepare for college entrance examinations etc. by creating an integrated college information website.

      • 대학생의 진로준비행동 관련 요인

        Recent economic recession causes the increase of youth unemployment rate and big changes of college students' employment circumstance. In these changes of the labor market, college students are trying to search job information they wish to get and making an effort to have well-prepared career plans. Especially, junior- and senior-year at college are the time for skill developments and preparation to find the suitable job that fit their majors and work aptitude. The purpose of this study are to find the variables which well explain career preparation behavior of college students. The subjects of this study are 499 students of 5 colleges who are relatively close to graduation in Cheong-Ju and Dae-Jeon area. Data were analyzed with reliability test, t-test, ANOVA, pearson's correlation, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS 18.0 program. The result of this study can be summarized as follows: First, career decision-making self-efficacy have a big effect on career preparation behavior. Specially, sub-dimension of career development planning strongly influenced both male and female students' career preparation behavior. Second, female students in humanities and social sciences show a much higher career preparation behavior which may reflect more difficult labor market situation for them. Third, male students' career preparation behavior are slightly influenced by household income-level. In conclusion, different and customized guidance and supports are needed for female and male college students. Based on the findings, diverse measures are necessary for developing career decision-making self-efficacy of adolescents before they enter colleges.

        진로준비행동과 대학 만족도, 첫 일자리 만족도의 구조적 관계: 부모 최종학력에 따른 세대 간 비교

        본 연구는 대졸자를 대상으로 재학 시기의 진로준비행동이 첫 일자리 만족도에 미치는 영향에서 대학 만족도의 매개효과를 확인하고, 그 효과에 대한 부모 최종학력에 따른 세대 간 차이를 검증하였다. 대졸자직업이동경로조사 2019년 졸업생(2020) 자료를 활용하여 총 6,473명을 대상으로 구조방정식모형 분석과 부모 최종학력에 따른 세대 간 다중집단분석을 각각 수행하고 다음의 결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 대졸자의 재학 시기 진로준비행동이 첫 일자리 만족도에 미치는 영향을 대학 만족도가 완전 매개하였다. 둘째, 대졸자의 재학 시기 진로준비행동과 첫 일자리 만족도의 관계에서 부모 최종학력에 따른 세대 간 차이가 나타났다. 구체적으로 대학진학 첫 세대(FGCS) 여부는 진로준비행동이 첫 일자리 만족도에 미치는 영향을 대학 만족도가 매개하지 못하지만, 대학진학 후속 세대(CGCS) 여부는 완전매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 부모 최종학력에 따른 집단 간 경로 차이는 진로준비행동이 대학 만족도에 미치는 영향에서만 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 결론에서 노동시장 효과성에 입각하여 진로발달 측면에서 첫 일자리 만족도를 제고하고자 고등교육의 개선노력의 필요성을 제시하였으며, 실증적인 개선방안과 후속연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다. This study aimed to examine the mediating effect of college satisfaction on the effect of career preparation behavior on first job satisfaction among college graduates, and to test for differences in this effect by the highest level of parental schooling attainment. Using data from 2019 Graduate Occupational Mobility Survey (2020), we conducted structural equation model analysis and multi-group analysis with the highest level of parental schooling for a total of 6,473 participants, and obtained the following results. First, college satisfaction fully mediated the effect of career preparation behaviors on first job satisfaction among college graduates. Differences in the relationship between college graduates’ career preparation behaviors and first job satisfaction were based on the highest level of parental schooling attainment. Specifically, college satisfaction did not mediate the effect of career preparation behaviors on first job satisfaction in the first-generation college students(FGCS) group, but fully mediated it in the continuing-generation college students(CGCS) group. In addition, the path difference between the two groups was significant only for the effect of career preparation behavior on college satisfaction. We concluded that higher education should be improved to enhance first job satisfaction in terms of career development based Labor Market Effectiveness, and empirical improvement measures and suggestions for follow-up studies were provided.

        대학생의 자기주도성, 대학몰입, 비교과 만족이 진로준비에 미치는 영향

        본 연구의 목적은 대학생들이 진로준비 과정에서 지각하는 내적 요인과 대학 생활을 통해 경험하는 외적요인 간의 관계를 통해 진로 지원방안을 논의하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 서울 소재 K대학 927명을 대상으로 위계적 다중회귀분석, 독립표본 t검정, 일원배치분산분석을 하였다. 총 4단계로 연구모형을 설정하였으며 각 모형의 설명력은 모두 통계적으로 유의하였다. 연구결과, 모형 1과 2 모두 성별이 진로준비에 유의한 영향을 주었지만, 모형 2에 자기주도성이 추가되자 성별과 비교했을 때 자기주도성이 진로준비에 더 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 모형 3에서는 비교과 만족을 추가하였으며 진로준비에 도움이 되는 것으로 나타났으며, 대학몰입을 추가한 모형 4에서는 대학몰입 즉, 대학에서 느끼는 소속감이 높을수록 진로준비에 도움이 된다고 느끼는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 대학생의 개인특성과 재학 중에 경험하게 되는 진로 관련 활동, 대학몰입 간 관계를 파악하여, 이를 고려한 대학생의 진로준비 지원 정책 마련에 도움이 되길 기대한다. This study aims to discuss ways needed to prepare their careers through relations between the personal internal factors perceived by college students in the process of career preparation and the external factors they experience during college life. To this end, the study conducted not only a questionnaire survey of 927 students at K University in Seoul but also hierarchical multiple regression analysis, independent two sample t-test, and one-way ANOVA (analysis of variance). The study set career preparation as a dependent variable, presented research models in four steps, and the explanatory power of each model was statistically significant. According to the findings of the study, both Model 1 and Model 2, gender had a significant impact on career preparation. Also, when self-directedness was added to Model 2, self-directedness had a greater impact on career preparation than gender did. When satisfaction with extracurricular activities was added to Model 3, this factor turned out to be helpful for career preparation. When college immersion, or a sense of belonging to college, was added to Model 4, the higher the sense of belonging students perceived, the more helpful they felt it for their career preparations. This study is expected to be helpful in preparing a policy to support college students career preparation by grasping the relations between the personal characteristics of college students and career-related activities and college immersion they experience during college life.

        대학생이 지각한 대학진로지원, 진로준비행동, 진로목표특성의 관계 분석

        본 연구의 목적은 대학진로지원과 진로준비행동의 관계에서 진로목표특성을 매개변인으로 하여 진로준비행동에 직·간접적 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보고자 하는 것이다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 경기도와 충청남도 소재 4년제 대학생 468명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 대학진로지원, 진로목표특성, 진로준비행동 간의 관계모형 중 가장 적합한 모형을 찾고, 이들 변인들 간의 관계에서 진로목표특성의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 대학진로지원 중 실제적 지원에 대한 인식은 진로준비행동에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 대학진로지원 중 정서적 지원에 대한 인식은 진로목표특성을 매개로 진로준비행동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 대학진로지원, 진로목표특성, 진로준비행동 간의 구조적 관계를 규명하여 대학생의 진로준비행동에 대한 이해의 폭을 넓히고 대학생의 진로준비행동을 높이기 위한 전략을 제시해 주었다는 점에서 연구의 의의가 있다. Based on this results, we should offer various strategies and ways to increase career preparation. Implications for further career education and counseling practice and limitations of the study were discussed. Also, the suggestions for the future study were proposed.

        지방 전문대학 학생들의 취업준비행동에 관한 현상학적 연구

        The purpose of this study is to reveal the intrinsic meaning of job preparation behavior in the college life of the local college students. For the purpose, we have selected 4 students (4 females) of the graduating class of D 3-year Vocational College located in Chungcheong Namdo and 4 students (2 males and 2 females) of the graduating class of W 2-year Information Junior College as research target, collected research data from them, and analyzed the data using Giorgi’s phenomenological method. As a result of the analysis, a total of three essential themes were derived as final units, and nine sub-themes and 25 semantic units were derived. The essential themes and the sub-themes are as follows: 1) Living as a local vocational/junior college student: Admission and standing alone, the college and the department I chose, vocational/junior college life, 2) Preparing for employment: Preparing for a job, the school and employment support, employment and the department system, 3) Getting a job as a local vocational/junior college student: the way to employment, the stumbling block, standing at the door of society. Based on this result, implications are presented in this thesis on the various aspects of employment preparation behavior and the issues that arose in the process during the college life of the graduating class students of the local vocational/junior colleges. 본 연구의 목적은 지방에 위치한 전문대학 학생들의 대학생활에서 이루어지는 취업준비행동의 본질적 의미를 밝히는 것이다. 이를 위해 C도 소재 3년제 D보건전문대학 졸업반 학생 4명(여 4명)과 2년제 W정보대학 졸업반 학생 4명(남 2명, 여 2명)을 연구 참여자로 하여 연구 자료를 수집하고, 이를 Giorgi의 현상학적 방법을 통해 분석하였다. 분석결과 최종단위로는 총 3개의 본질적 주제가 도출되었고 그에 대한 하위 주제로는 9개가, 의미단위로는 25개가 도출되었다. 본질적 주제와 하위 주제는 <지방 전문대생으로 살아가기: 입학과 홀로서기, 내가 택한 학교 그리고 학과, 전문대 라이프(life)>, <취업을 준비하며: 취업준비기(記), 학교와 취업지원, 취업과 학과시스템>, <지방 전문대생으로 취업하기: 취업으로 가는 길, 넘어야 할 걸림돌, 사회의 문 앞에서>이다. 이러한 결과를 기초로 지방에 위치한 전문대학 졸업반 학생들의 대학생활 과정에서 취업준비행동이 이루어지는 양상과 그것을 통해 나타난 현안에 대한 시사점을 논의하였다.
