        Every company tries to know who the best and idealistic customers are and how to identify them by use of the special methods. To solve this problem the diamond model of customer stratification, which is the conceptual model, is introduced in this research. We modified the customer stratification model developed by Narayanan etal.(2007). By use of this model we can find out them ost profitable customers and then we can plan to improve the profitability of the rest customer groups. In this paper the diamond model to stratify the customers is introduced. It is a heuristic approach to stratify the customers. Diamond model provides the strategic implications for each customer group to improve the company"s oveall performance, especially for unprofitable service-drain, marginal, mass-spot, and relation-oriented customers. This paper is organized as follows. Section 2 describes the customer stratification model. In section 3, the benefits of customer stratification are explained. In section4 provides the strategic use of customer stratification model.

        인공지능 생성 콘텐츠 기술을 적용한 공간디자인 프로세스에 관한 연구

        (연구배경 및 목적) 1950년 앨런 튜링은 기계에 지능이 있는지를 판별하는 튜링 테스트를 실시하였다. 이를 통해, 컴퓨터와 인공지능 연구에 근본적인 변화가 일어났으며, 인공지능 분야의 연구 방향성과 목표가 새롭게 정립되었다. 하지만 초기 개발 단계의 인공지능 기술은 기술적 한계로 인해 실제로 적용하기 어려웠다. 그러나, 21세기에 들어서면서 인터넷의 전 세계적 확산과 대량의 데이터 축적, 알고리즘의 개선으로 인공지능 기술은 실제 적용이 가능한 형태로 급격히 발전해 왔다. 본 논문에서는 디자인 방법론 중 하나인 더블 다이아몬드 모델(Double Diamond Model)을 기반으로, 인공지능 생성 콘텐츠(AI-Generated Content, AIGC) 기술을 적용한 공간디자인 프로세스를 고찰하고자 한다. 이를 통해, 인공지능 기술의 디자인 프로세스 적용 범위와 가능성을 탐구함으로써, 공간디자인 분야에 있어서 인공지능 기술을 활용한 새로운 가치 창출 가능성을 모색하는데 본 연구의 목적이 있다. (연구방법) 본 연구는 AIGC와 더블 다이아몬드 모델에 관한 문헌조사와 AIGC 기술을 적용한 공간디자인 프로세스 실험으로 수행한다. 먼저 공간디자인 프로세스에서 AIGC 기술의 적용 가능성을 분석하기 위해 AIGC 기술, AIGC 애플리케이션과 관련된 문헌 고찰을 통해 이론적 배경을 구축하고, 주요 AIGC 애플리케이션의 기능과 특징, 활용 분야를 중심으로 AIGC 애플리케이션의 발전 현황을 분석한다. 마지막으로 더블 다이아몬드 모델 공간디자인 프로세스를 이해하고, AIGC 기술을 적용한 더블 다이아몬드 모델 기반 공간디자인 프로세스 방안을 제시한다. (결과) AIGC 기술은 디자인 프로세스의 각 단계에서 유용하게 활용될 수 있음을 입증하였다. 첫째, 디자인 개념 도출 단계에서 AIGC 기술은 텍스트를 이미지로 변환하는 과정에서 디자이너에게 영감을 제공하고, 개념을 시각화하는 데 도움을 주었다. 둘째, 다양한 이미지 생성을 통해 디자이너들은 다양한 디자인 아이디어를 빠르게 시각화하고 선택할 수 있었다. 마지막으로, 디자인 실행 단계에서 AIGC 기술은 스케치의 렌더링 이미지 변환과 설계도면의 심화, 수정, 재설계를 효율적으로 지원하여 디자인 프로세스의 실행을 원활하게 하였다. (결론) AIGC 기술은 디자인 프로세스를 보다 효율적으로 수행하고, 디자이너들이 더욱 창의적이고 혁신적인 디자인을 개발할 수 있도록 지원하는 유용한 도구임이 확인되었다. 또한, 본 연구는 디자인 분야에서 AIGC 기술의 활용 가능성을 탐색하고, 미래의 디자인 프로세스에 적극적으로 적용될 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다. 따라서, AIGC 기술은 디자인 분야에서 더 많은 연구와 응용이 기대되는 기술임을 확인할 수 있었다. (Background and Purpose) In 1950, Alan Turing conducted the Turing Test to discern whether machines could exhibit intelligence, marking a fundamental shift in computer and artificial intelligence research, establishing new directions and goals for the field. However, early artificial intelligence technology faced practical limitations due to technical constraints. With the advent of the 21st century, the rapid spread of the internet, massive data accumulation, and algorithmic advancements have propelled artificial intelligence technology into a form readily applicable in real-world scenarios. This paper aims to explore the application of AI-Generated Content (AIGC) technology in spatial design processes based on the Double Diamond Model, a design methodology, to investigate the scope and potential of applying artificial intelligence technology in the field of spatial design, thereby exploring new possibilities for creating value through artificial intelligence technology in spatial design. (Method) This study conducts a literature review on AIGC and the Double Diamond Model and performs experiments on spatial design processes using AIGC technology. Firstly, to analyze the potential application of AIGC technology in spatial design processes, the theoretical background is established through a literature review of AIGC technology and related applications, focusing on the functions, features, and development status of key AIGC applications. Finally, by understanding the Double Diamond Model spatial design process and applying AIGC technology, this study proposes a framework for spatial design processes based on the Double Diamond Model. (Results) AIGC technology has demonstrated its usefulness in various stages of the design process. Firstly, in the design concept generation stage, AIGC technology provided inspiration to designers and facilitated visualizing concepts by transforming text into images. Secondly, through diverse image generation, designers were able to quickly visualize and select various design ideas. Finally, in the design execution stage, AIGC technology efficiently supported rendering image conversions of sketches and deepening, modifying, and redesigning design drawings, thereby facilitating the execution of the design process. (Conclusions) AIGC technology has been confirmed as a useful tool for performing design processes more efficiently and supporting designers in developing more creative and innovative designs. Moreover, this study explores the potential application of AIGC technology in the design field and presents avenues for its active integration into future design processes. Therefore, AIGC technology is identified as a technology with promising prospects for more research and applications in the design field.

        A Comparative Analysis on the Competitiveness of the Korean, Chinese and Japanese Fashion Industries: The Generalized Double Diamond Model Approach

        This study compares and analyzes the fashion industry of Korea with that of China and Japan, the two countries geographically and culturally adjacent to Korea, by applying the generalized double diamond model to find useful measures to strengthen the global competitiveness of the Korean fashion industry. The fashion industries of Korea, China and Japan were first compared in terms of the four determinants of the double diamond model: thereafter, the double diamond model of Korea, China and Japan were compared. In this, study 31 sub-variables were extracted to measure the eight determinants and secondary data were collected from selected sources between January 2013 and May 2014. The results of comparing the domestic diamond models showed that: China is considerably better than Korea and Japan in terms of demand conditions, firm strategy, organization, and competition conditions while Japan is superior in terms of demand conditions and Korea shows better related and supporting industries conditions. When comparing and analyzing the international diamond models, Japan is superior in terms of factor conditions and China has better demand conditions, while Korea has failed to lead in any of the four determinants. When comparing and analyzing the comprehensive diamond model per country, China show superior demand conditions and firm strategy, organization, and competition conditions, Japan has better factor conditions, and Korea shows superior related and supporting industries conditions.

        다이아몬드 모델의 접근법을 활용한 경영인의 리더십 원천에 대한 고찰: 현대그룹의 정주영 회장과 삼성그룹의 이병철 회장에 대한 사례 연구

        This paper analyzes the leadership, which is very important for national and corporate developments, from the perspective of competitiveness. We have found that the existing leadership theories, such as trait theory, contingency theory, leader-participation model, path-goal theory, and situational leadership theory, are not comprehensive enough to appropriately analyze the competitive sources of leadership, when compared with Porter's diamond model. Using the diamond model approach, this paper analyzes the leadership of Chung, Ju-yung of Hyundai Group and Lee, Byung-chull of Samsung Group. This study shows that the important sources of leaderships are enhanced from their strategies of benchmarking advanced countries, industries, and firms, and internationalization to expand the scope of business. An important implication of this paper is that the leadership should be understood not as a heroic behavior but an effective strategy in order to derive useful implications from the leadership study.

        일반화된 더블다이아몬드 모델을 활용한 글로벌 물류기업의 경쟁력 분석 -범한판토스, DHL, 일본통운을 중심으로-

        본 논문은 Porter의 다이아몬드 모델을 발전시킨 ‘일반화된 더블다이아몬드모델’을 이용하여 글로벌 물류전문기업인 DHL, 일본통운과 한국의 범한판토스의 경쟁력을 종합적으로 비교·분석하였다. 종합적인 분석 결과, DHL, 일본통운, 범한판토스 순서로 앞선 경쟁력을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 범한판토스의 경쟁력은 국제적 측면의 해외진출 네트워크수를 포함한 요소요인(Factor Condition)과 주거래 기업수(포춘 글로벌 500내)를 포함한 수요요인(demand Condition)이 외국기업에 비해 상대적으로 매우 열세로 나타났다. 따라서 범한판토스의 경쟁력 제고를 위해서는 1)해외 네트 워크의 확대 2)ICT와 물류와의 융합으로 질적인 성장 3)낮은 브랜드 이미지 향상 4)국내 3PL 활용비중의 제고가 무엇보다 필요한 것으로 분석되었다 In this paper, the evolution of Porter`s diamond model, ‘generalized double diamond model’ is applied to analyze global logistics companies` competitiveness of DHL, Nippon Express and Korean Pantos. As a result of the comprehensive analysis, Pantos shows weakness in the international aspects of the network elements and number of main customer companies (within Fortune Global 500 companies) as the demand factors. In order to enhance the competitiveness of Pantos 1)The expansion of overseas networks 2)Convergence of ICT and Logistics and qualitative growth 3)A low brand image improvement 4) Increase the proportion of domestic 3PL utilization than what is needed.

        더블 다이아몬드 모델을 활용한 제품디자인 교육 프로세스 제안

        Background As the role of product designs expanded, a new product design process is being proposed to educate students majoring in product design in accordance with the changing design paradigm. Method First, the product design process is reconstructed by integrating the design process and double diamond model. Second, after applying the reconstructed product design process to three design projects for students majoring in product design, issues are verified to complete an editing and supplementation process. Third, a 3STP methodology is proposed to effectively convey the values and contents that the tangible or intangible design outcomes according to the new product design process intends to convey to users. Results In terms of the amount of information, differences in activity fields were found in the Discover and Define stages of the double diamond model and the Planning, Research and Strategy stages of the design process. Therefore, the triple diamond model process is proposed. Furthermore, the 3STP is proposed as a methodology to categorize the values and contents to be delivered to users as design and to deliver it. Conclusion This study is significant in that it reconstructed the product design process through three project case studies and presented methodologies accordingly, thus holding empirical discussions.

        소통중심의 공공서비스디자인 혁신 모델 연구: 한국중부발전(주) 사례를 중심으로

        본 연구는 한국중부발전(주)의 사례를 기반으로 소통중심의 공공서비스디자인 혁신 모델을 개발하고자 한국중부발전(주)의 고객 및 직원참여 활동 사례를 분석하였다. 소통을 위한 활동 사례를 중심으로 (1) 현상인식 및 변화관리 추진을 위한 준비 단계; (2) 공공서비스 개선을 위한 문제해결 단계; (3) 업무 프로세스 개선을 위한 문제해결 단계; (4) 협업 강화를 위한 문제해결 단계; (5) 혁신 모델 디자인 단계로 도출하였다. 도출된 결과를 기반으로 더블다이아몬드 디자인 프로세스를 적용하여 공공서비스디자인 혁신모델을 개발하였다. 제안된 모델은 1차 발산(발견)과 수렴(정의), 2차 발산(개발)과 수렴(전달)의 반복 과정을 통해 최종산출물이 도출되는 프로세스 구조이다. 한국중부발전(주)의 우수사례 중 아이디어발전소 활동을 본 연구에서 제안한 모델에 적용하여 활용가능성도 제안하였다. 비록 본 연구는 특정 공기업 사례를 기반으로 소통중심의 공공서비스디자인 혁신 모델을 제안하였지만, 본 모델은 고객 및 직원참여 기반의 효율적인 소통을 위한 운영방안에 활용될 수 있다. The purpose of this study is to design an effective innovation model for communication-centered public services, based on the case of Korea Midland Power Co., Ltd (KOMIPO). This study analyzed customer and employee participation activities at KOMIPO, focusing on communication activities to derive the best practices. The study comprised of the following stages: (1) Preparation stage to assess the current situation and promote change management; (2) Problem-solving stage for improving public services; (3) Problem-solving stage for improving work processes; (4) Problem-solving stage for strengthening collaboration, and (5) Design stage for an innovation model. Based on the results of this study, an innovation model was developed for public services by applying the double-diamond design process. The proposed model presents a process structure, which is derived through an iterative process of primary divergence (discovery) and convergence (definition), and secondary divergence (development) and convergence (delivery). This study also proposed the possibility of applying the Idea-Power-Plant activities of KOMIPOs best practices to the proposed model. While this study proposed an innovation model for communication-centered public services through the analysis of a specific public company, the results of the study provide broad insights for effective operations management through efficient communication based on the participation of customers and employees in public institutions.

        포터의 다이아몬드모델을 활용한 항만경쟁력 결정요인에 관한 연구: AHP기법의 적용

        This paper aims at establishing the port competitiveness evaluation criteria by measuring the importance of determinants. In order to achieve this goal, this study adopted the 4 major determinants of Michael Porter's diamond model as a basic, and selected objective evaluation factors by reviewing previous studies. In addition, a questionnaire survey of the experts’ group was conducted using the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) method. The results applying the AHP to Porter's diamond model showed in the order of Demand ConditionProduction ConditionRelated and Support IndustryIndustrial Strategy and Policy while the corresponding 8 sub-factors were identified in order of Port ThroughputsPort FacilitiesPort Operation StrategyPort LocationHinterland ConnectivityPolicy ConsistencyPort ServicesGrowth of Domestic Industry. The implications of this study on the determinants of port competitiveness can be evaluated highly as timely and appropriate in that Korea, which has grown as an Export-oriented industrialization, faces the proposition that a new huge consumer market should be found today. In addition, as the major hub of the global logistics market has been reorganized, it has been a practical study to propose a new standard of the port competitiveness evaluation in the future. 본 연구의 목적은 항만경쟁력 결정요인의 중요성을 측정하여 객관적인 평가기준을 수립하는 것이다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 본 연구는 마이클 포터(Michael Porter)의 다이아몬드 모델이 채택한 4대 결정요인을 바탕으로 일반화된 연구모형을 구축하였다. 하위요소의 계층화 구조를 수립하기 위하여 항만경쟁력 선행연구를 분석하였으며, 전문가 집단을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하여 계층화분석(AHP, Analytic Hierarchy Process)기법을 활용한 중요도 차이와 순위를 도출하여 항만경쟁력을 평가하는 효과적인 기준을 제시하고자 하였다. 마이클 포터의 다이아몬드 모델이 채택한 4대 결정요인을 바탕으로 수립한 항만경쟁력 결정요인을 AHP기법으로 산정한 중요도 결과는 수요조건생산조건관련 및 지원 산업산업전략 및 정책의 순으로 나타났으며, 4대 결정요인에 대응하는 8개 하위요소는 항만 물동량항만시설항만운영 전략항만입지배후연계시스템정책 일관성항만 서비스국내 산업성장의 순으로 중요도를 파악할 수 있었다. 항만경쟁력 평가를 위한 결정요인에 관한 연구에서 파악한 시사점은 수출주도로 성장한 한국이 오늘날 새로운 거대 소비시장을 발굴해야할 명제와 당면하고 있다는 점에서 연구의 시기적인 적절성을 높게 평가할 수 있다. 또한 세계 물류시장의 주요 허브가 재편되면서 글로벌 허브항만 선정의 최대 변인으로 작용하는 항만경쟁력 결정요인에 대한 객관적인 기준을 수립한 것은 향후 항만경쟁력 평가를 위한 새로운 기준을 제시한 실용적인 연구라고 할 수 있다.

        A Comparative Analysis on the Competitiveness of Korean and Japanese Fashion Industry by Applying Generalized Double Diamond Model

        The purpose of this paper is to seek ways to improve the competitiveness of Korea’s fashion industry by utilizing the source of competitiveness of Japan’s fashion industry, which represents the world’s leading countries in terms of fashion, so that Korea can better enter the global fashion market. The study shall first compare the competitiveness of the Japanese and Korean fashion industries by utilizing the generalized double diamond model; second, provide an understanding of what the Japanese fashion industry can offer to Korean fashion industry and companies - that is, understand what the Japanese fashion industry’s competitive edge is; and third, study the kind of global competitiveness that Korea’s fashion industry must achieve. To adopt a generalized double diamond model to compare the competitiveness of the Korean and Japanese fashion industries, we selected 31 sub-variables to act as determinants of the model. That is, we extracted 31sub-variables by doing research of literature to analyze national competitiveness of the fashion industries. To measure these 31 sub-variables, secondary data was gathered. We collected data related to each sub-variable from various sources of Korea and Japan. And to calculate the competitiveness index, we took three steps with reference to previous studies. We found that status of the fashion industry of the two countries as it stands. That is, Japan is an advanced country of which fashion industry is domestic market-oriented while Korea is a small open economy that mainly focuses on the foreign market. Out of 31 proxy variables, Korea’s fashion industry shows higher measurements relating to production and export than Japan, but Japan’s fashion industry reports higher measurements than Korea in the fields of R&D, design and brand power, the rate of value added, the efficiency of companies and globalization. In order for Korea’s fashion industry to achieve competitiveness in the global market, it should pursue the following development direction. First, it is very difficult for Korea to follow the footsteps of the U.S. and Japanese fashion industries that are able to take advantage of economies of scale, because Korea is smaller than those countries. Therefore, in the case of small economies such as Singapore, strengthening of international activities will practically improve domestic determinants that Korea should improve its domestic diamond by enhancing the current competitiveness of its international diamond. In other words, Korea needs to further endeavor to develop and expand global resources and markets as well as improve its competitiveness in terms of R&D, design and brand power, the rate of value-added, and the efficiency of companies. As the Korean fashion industry shows relatively advanced level of information technology and the fashion education system, it has considerable potential to grow. Korea is expected to have a huge growth potential since it has relatively higher level of information technology, fashion education system and activities than those of Japan in both the domestic diamond and international diamond. In particular, a better environment is laid out before Korea to gain competitiveness in the fashion industry due to the recently growing influence of the Korean Wave that Korea is expected to grow as a leader in the Asian market as well as in the global market.
