Four Trichoderma strains (CH2, SH16, PQ34, and TN42) were isolated from soil samples collected from Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue provinces in Vietnam. The strains exhibited high chitinolytic secretion. Strain PQ34 formed the largest zone of chitinase-mediated clearance (> 4 cm in diameter) in agar containing 1% (w/v) colloidal chitin. Analysis of the internal transcribed spacer regions of these strains indicated that they were Trichoderma asperellum. The molecular weights of the chitinases were approximately 42 kDa. Chitinase genes (chi42) of T. asperellum strains TN42, CH2, SH16, and PQ34 were 98~99% homologous to the ech42 gene of T. harzianum CB-Pin-01 (accession No. DQ166036). The deduced amino acid sequences of both T. asperellum strains SH16 and TN42 shared 100% similarity.
Robust Precoding and Postcoding for Multicell Multiuser Transmission using Imperfect CSI

This paper studies the problem of precoding and post-coding design for multicell multiuser downlink transmissions in the absence of perfect channel state information (CSI). Using statistical information of imperfect CSI, an iterative multiuser multicell transceiver design is formulated by minimizing the mean squared error (MSE) cost function of signal and leakage interference under per-base station power constraint (PBPC). The convergence of the iterative precoding and postcoding algorithm is verified by analytical and empirical results. The proposed precoding and postcoding algorithm offers a low computational complexity and robustness against CSI imperfection.
Comparison of phenolics compounds between healthy and viroid-infected grapes in Korea

Grapes are widely consumed fruits in Korea. It has been used for the products such as raisins, wine, juice, vinegar and sweet spreads. However, grapes are subject to viroid infection, causing malformed berries and reducing fruit quality and yield. In this study, effect of Grapevine yellow speckle viroid 1 (GYSVd1) on the phenolics in grape skin of three different cultivars including ‘Campbell Early’, ‘Kyoho’, and ‘Shine muscat’ were investigated by liquid chromatography method. Nineteen phenolic compounds in grape skin of three cultivars were detected using HPLC-PDA-MS/MS. Maximum wavelength of anthocyanins were determined at 520 nm while the others were quantified at 350 nm. The separation was achieved by using a mobile phase containing 10% formic acid in water (A) and 10% formic acid in acetonitrile (B) with a gradient elution (Tmin/B: T0/7; T20/20; T45/30; T60/60) at a flow rate of 0.7 mL/min. As a result, considerable decreases of anthocyanins in ‘Campbell’ and ‘Kyoho’ cultivars were observed in viroid infection group (p<0.05). Additionally, content of flavonols in viroid samples of all three cultivars increased signifacantly (p<0.05) and there were no significant change in phenolic acid content. Because of the viroid infection, flavonols seems to be more synthesized, which could act as the ‘antibody’ of grapes. However, reduction of anthocyanins will lead to low quality of the berries as well as products made from viroid-infected grapes.
High-efficiency Low-latency NTT Polynomial Multiplier for Ring-LWE Cryptography

This paper presents a novel architecture to perform polynomial multiplication in ring learning with errors (ring-LWE) cryptosystems. By employing number theoretic transform (NTT) of the input polynomials simultaneously, the multiplication latency is significantly reduced. In addition, a multiple-path delay feedback (MDF) architecture is used to speed up the multiplication process. As a result, the proposed NTT multiplier offers a better value of area-latency product compared with that of previous studies. The simulation results for the security parameters n = 512 and q = 12,289 on Xilinx Virtex-7 FPGA show that the proposed multiplier uses only about 8.69% of the number of clock cycles required by previous works to completely perform the polynomial multiplication. Furthermore, the obtained area-latency product value of the proposed architecture is less than 45.3% of that of previous works.
