      • Multifunctional Self-Doped Nanocrystal Thin-Film Transistor Sensors

        <P>Self-doping in nanocrystals allows accessing higher quantum states. The electrons occupying the lowest energy state of the conduction band form a metastable state that is very sensitive to the electrostatic potential of the surface. Here, we demonstrate that the high charge sensitivity of the self-doped HgSe colloidal quantum dot solid can be used for sensing three different targets with different phases through self-doped HgSe nanocrystal/ZnO thin-film transistors: the environmental gases (CO<SUB>2</SUB> gas, NO gas, and H<SUB>2</SUB>S gas); mid-IR photon; and biothiol (<SMALL>L</SMALL>-cysteine) molecules. The self-doped quantum dot solid detects the targets through different mechanisms. The physisorption of the CO<SUB>2</SUB> gas and the NO gas molecules, and the mid-IR photodetection show reversible processes, whereas the chemisorption of <SMALL>L</SMALL>-cysteine biothiol and H<SUB>2</SUB>S gas molecules shows irreversible processes. Considering the quenching of mid-IR intraband photoluminescence of the HgSe colloidal quantum dot solid by the vibrational mode of the CO<SUB>2</SUB> gas molecule, sensing the CO<SUB>2</SUB> gas could be involved in the electronic-to-vibrational energy transfer. The target molecules are quantitatively analyzed, and the limits of detection for CO<SUB>2</SUB> and <SMALL>L</SMALL>-cysteine are 250 ppm and 10 nM, respectively, which are comparable to the performance of commercial detectors.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>

        한국 장애인 미충족 의료 현황

        본 연구의 목적은 장애인의 미충족 의료율을 파악하여 비장애인과 비교하고, 장애인이 필요로 할 때 의료서비스를 이용하지 못하는 이유가 비장애인과 어떻게 다른지 검토하는 것이다. 전국단위로 실시하고 있는 국민건강영양조사(1998, 2005, 2007~2018), 지역사회건강조사(2008~2019), 장애인실태조사(2000, 2005, 2008, 2011, 2014, 2017), 노인실태조사(2008, 2011, 2014, 2017), 한국의료패널(2008~2017) 자료를 활용하여 장애 또는 활동제한 여부, 장애인의 장애 유형 및 등급에 따라 연도별 미충족 의료율을 산출하였으며, 장애인과 비장애인의 미충족 의료 이유를 연도별로 산출하였다. 미충족 의료율은 감소하고 있으나, 장애인은 비장애인보다, 중증장애인은 경증장애인보다, 외부신체기능 장애인이 다른 장애인보다, 치과 이용에 대한 미충족 의료율은 병의원보다 높았다. 장애인과 비장애인의 미충족 의료율의 격차는 감소하지 않았으며, 치과 이용에서 병의원보다 그 격차가 더 컸다. 미충족 의료의 가장 큰 이유는 장애인은 경제적인 부담, 비장애인은 시간적 제약이었다. 향후 장애인과 비장애인의 미충족 의료율의 격차가 감소하지 않는 이유와 격차 해소를 위한 심층적 연구가 필요하다. This study aims to evaluate the proportion and factors of unmet health care needs (UHCNs) in the disabled and to compare UHCNs between disabled and non-disabled individuals. We conducted the annual proportion and cause of UHCNs by disabled or limited activity, type and grade of disabled using the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (1998, 2005, 2007~2018), Community Health Survey (2008~2019), Disabled Health and Welfare Survey (2000, 2005, 2008, 2011, 2014, 2017), Korean Elderly Health and Welfare Survey (2008, 2011, 2014, 2017), Korea Health Panel Study (2008~2017). The proportion of UHCNs has been on the decrease overall, but it was higher in the disabled than in the non-disabled, higher in the severely disabled than in the moderately disabled, higher in those with external impairments than in people with other disability, and higher in dental care than in other health services. The difference in proportion of UHCNs did not decrease in between disabled and non-disabled individuals and was larger in dental care than in other health services. The main cause of UHCNs was “financial” for disabled persons and “not enough time” for non-disabled persons. Based on the results of this study, we suggest that further study is needed to find out the cause of the constant gap in the rate of unmet care needs between the disabled and non-disabled and to find ways to bridge the gap.

      • 장시간 진행된 뇌혈관수술에서 발생한 주술기 압박 손상

        Incidence of intraoperative pressure injury is higher than incidence of pressure ulcer in patients who don’t have surgery. Efforts should be made to reduce the incidence of pressure injury as the number of prolonged operations increases and various surgical positions are applied. In this report, intraoperative pressure blister formation occurred to a 49-year old man who had 30 hours long neurovascular surgery. The causes of pressure induced blister in this case are expected to prolonged surgery time, low Hb concentration, park bench position, low albumin concentration below 3.0g/dL and hypertension. It is necessary to judge whether or not the patients are vulnerable to pressure injury and to perform early correction of risk factors before surgery. If the risk of pressure injury is high, more active prevention, for example, padding and protection tools such as gel pad or air mattress should be used.

        In Vitro Head-to-Head Comparison of Flow Reduction between Fibered and Non-Fibered Pushable Coils

        Purpose: To compare the embolization effects of a non-fibered pushable coil with a conventional fibered pushable coil in an <i>in vitro</i> bench-top experiment.Materials and Methods: A simplified vascular phantom with 4 channels (1 for the non-fibered coil, 1 for the fibered coil, and 2 for continuous circuit flow) was used. A single coil of the longest length was inserted to evaluate the effect of single-coil embolization, and 3 consecutive coils were inserted to assess the effect of multiple-coil embolization. Post-embolization angiography was performed to obtain flow variables (time to peak [TTP], relative peak intensity [rPI], and angiographic flow reduction score [AFRS]) from time density curves. The packing densities of the two coil types were calculated, and the AFRS of each channel was determined by dividing the TTP by the rPI.Results: When inserting a single coil, the conventional fibered coil demonstrated better flow reduction, as indicated by a higher AFRS (25.6 vs. 17.4, P=0.034). However, the non-fibered coil exhibited a significantly higher packing density (12.9 vs. 2.4, P=0.001). Similar trends were observed with multiple coils.Conclusion: The conventional fibered pushable coil showed better flow reduction efficiency, while the non-fibered pushable coil had a higher packing density, likely due to the flexibility of the coil loops. A better understanding of the distinct characteristics of different pushable coils can enhance the outcomes of various vascular embolization.

        최근 중앙 집중화된 대규모 클라우드 시스템의 증가로 인해 가상화 환경에서 수행되는 성능 최적화 작업에 대한 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 그러나 기존 연구에서는 자원 분배의 공정성을 위해 가상머신 단위로 컴퓨팅 자원을 격리한 정책 내에서 이루어지고 있어 유연한 자원관리에 한계를 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 워크로드의 특징을 기반으로 과학적 연산을 수행하는 가상머신과 일반적인 서비스를 수행하는 가상머신을 분류하여 성능 최적화 작업을 수행하는 동적 자원 관리자를 제안한다. 실험을 통하여 제안하는 동적 자원 관리자가 KVM 기본 스케줄링에 비해 49%의 성능 향상을 보였다.

        산야초 추출물을 함유한 식사 대용식을 이용한 초저열량 식사요법이 성인 비만 여성들의 체중감량과 건강 개선에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 산야초 추출물이 함유된 식사대용식을 이용한 초저열량 식사요법의 체중감량과 건강개선에 미치는 효과를 평가하고자 실시되었다. 그 결과 식사대용식을 이용하여 초저열량 식사요법을 한 성인 비만여성들의 경우 일반 음식으로만 초저열량 식사요법을 한 성인 비만여성들보다 체중과 체지방율이 유의하게 감소하였음을 알 수 있었다. 건강관련 인자는 두 군간에 유의한 차이는 없었으나 산야초 추출물이 함유된 식사대용식을 섭취한 군내에서 식사중재 기간 동안 유의하게 지질 개선 효과가 있었다. 한편, 산야초 추출물이 함유된 식사대용식의 맛에 대한 기호도도 긍정적으로 평가되었다. 그러므로, 본 연구에서 사용된 산야초 추출물을 주성분으로 하여 제조된 식사대용식은 향후 임상에서 비만치료제로 응용함에 있어 크게 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다. 단, 앞으로 요요 현상의 가능성에 대한 보다 장기간에 걸친 임상연구가 이루어져야 할 것으로 사료된다. This study was performed to investigate the effects of very low calorie diet (VLCD) using meal replacements that contain the wild grass extracts that are consisted of mainly Samul-tang ingredients on weight reduction and health promotion in the obese women (BMI≥25㎏/㎡) for four weeks. Fifty six premenopausal women participated in this experiment. Each subject was either classified as part of the control group (C group, n=28) that consumed 3 regular meals a day or the meal replacement group (MR group, n=28) that consumed 1 regular meal and 2 meal replacements within 600 kcal/day. Anthropometric measurements, body composition, health related factors, and psychological factors were assessed before (the initial) and after (the 4^(th) week) the study. Obesity was significantly decreased after the diet intervention. Anthropometric measurements such as weight, waist and hip circumference, and BMI and body composition such as body fat, and fat mass were significantly decreased in all groups after the diet intervention. Anthropometric measurements and body composition of the MR group were significantly decreased more than those of the C group. Serum total cholesterol was significantly decreased in the MR groups but not in the C group and serum triglyceride concentration was significantly decreased in all groups after the diet intervention. All the biochemical measurements were within normal ranges after the diet intervention. Psychological factors such as stress and depression were significantly decreased in two groups after the diet intervention. Therefore, VLCD using meal replacements is very effective for weight reduction in the obese premenopausal women.

        퍼스텍(주)는 가스터빈엔진 및 왕복엔진의 지상 리그시험을 수행할 수 있는 엔진시험실을 구축하였다. 엔진시험실은 홉입구, 테스트셀, 배기구, 연료실, 회의실, 제어실 등으로 구분되어 있으며, 흡입구와 배기구, 테스트 셀에는 지상 리그시험시 발생하는 소음을 줄이기 위한 장치가 장착되어 있다. 또한 테스트 셀 내부에는 지상시험리그의 진동을 상쇄하기 위해 방진 패드가 구축되어 있으며, 흡입구를 통해 들어온 공기가 잘 빠져 나갈 수 있도록 벨마우스가 설치되어 있으며 배기구에 터닝베인이 설치되어 있다. 기타 설비로 연료를 공급하기 위한 연료공급장치 및 샾에어 공급을 위한 공압장치가 설치되어 있다. FIRSTEC constructed engine laboratory which was able to perform gas turbine engine and reciprocating engine of ground rig test. Engine laboratory consist of intake, test cell, exhaust vent and fuel room, conference room and control room etc. When ground rig test was performed. Device was installed to reduce noise in intake, exhaust vent and test cell. Protection pad was installed to reduce vibration of ground rig test inside test cell. Bell-mouse was installed to flow well air, turning vane was installed at exhaust vent. As other facilities, pneumatic facility was installed to supply fuel and shop air.
