        백서 척수후근절로부터 슈반세포의 효과적인 체외 배양법

        Schwann cells(SCs), an important component of the peripheral nervous system, intract with nerous to mutually support growth and replication for the peripheral nerve regentation. Recently, ading SCs to the lumen of guidance channel is widely tried to improve regeneration or to make regeneration possible over otherwise irreparable gaps. however, it is not easy to isolate and multiplicate SCs as much as enough to help the axonal regeneration. For the allogeneic SCs source for tubular nerve guidance, we developed a little bit improved technique of harvesting and multiplicating SCs. by culturing dispersed dorsal root ganglia in specially designed medium with growth factors and serial processing, we repeatedlly generate relatively homogenous SC cultures. Our technique was compared with other methods of literature using immunostaining methods such as GFAP, S100, BDNF and the total SC count assessment at different time interval after primary culture.

        Chlorpromazine이 백서 해마에서 전기경련 충격에 의한 MAPK 타이로신 인산화에 미치는 영향

        Object : In order to examine the interaction mechanisms of electroconvulsive shock(ECS) and antipsychotic drug at the level of molecular biology, we observed the effect of chlorpromazine pre-treatment on the activation of mitogen activated protein kinase(MAPK) induced by electroconvulsive shock(ECS) in rat hippocampus Method : Male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into 2 groups. To the experimental group chlorpromazine(20㎎/㎏) was given intraperitoneally, and to the control distilled water was given instead. Thirty minutes later, ECS was given and the hippocampus was dissected out 2 minutes thereafter. Immunoblotting with antiphosphotyrosine antibody was carried out, and the signal intensity at 42kDa band was quantitized using densitometer. The obtained result was compared by student t-test between the experimental and the control group. The absolute amount of MAPK was measured by immunoblotting with anti-MAPK antibody. Result : The tyrosine phosphorylation of MAPK reached peak at 2 minutes after ECS. However, in the chlorpromazine pre-treated group, the peak level of MAPK tyrosine phosphorylation was significantly attenuated(t=-3.12, df=14, p=0.008) compared to the control. In contrast to this, the absolute amount of MAPK did not differ between the pretreated and the control group. Conclusion : Chlorpromazine attenuated the tyrosine phosphorylation of MAPK by ECS. This finding seems to be related to the fact that chlorpromazine pre-treatment changed the cfos expression by ECS in rat brain. Antipsychotic drug and ECS might interact at the level of MAPK signal transduction system, and this might explained the observed synergistic effect of two treatment modality.

        This study was to examine the latent heat flux of human's body to verify the microclimate of the tree shade and the amenity of that, estimating the microclimate of inside and outside of Diospyros Kaki Thunb during summer like a high temperature. The place where this study was examined was the Faculty of Horiculture, Chiba University in Japan. As the results, the factor of climate which was appeared with a wide difference was the solar radiation and the temperature of ground surface. On the contrary, the difference of the air-temperature and the humidity was not appeared greatly. And then, the surface heat flux of arm which showed the amenity from the inside and the outside of tree shade had lots of outgoing degree inside of tree shade, on the contrary, lots of incoming degree from the outside of tree shade.

        정신분열병 환자의 우울증에서 Paroxetine과 삼환계 항우울제 병용치료

        저자들은 마산동서병원에 입원중인 우울증이 동반된 정신분열증 환자 10명을 대상으로 사용중인 항정신병약물에 paroxetine과 저용량의 삼환계 항우울제를 6주간 병용투여한 후 우울증상에 대한 효과와 치료의 안전성 및 약물상호작용을 알아보았다. Paroxetine은 고정량의 항정신병약물과 삼환계 항우울제에 부가하여 일일 20㎎을 6주간 병용하게 하였으며, 임상상태는 HDRS, HARS, UKU Side Effect Rating Scale등의 평가척도를 사용하여 평가하였다. 또한 약동학적 약물상호작용은 삼환계 항우울제들의 혈장농도를 HPLC로 측정하여 분석하였다. 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 10명의 전체 대상환자에서의 HDRS 평균점수는 TCA와 paroxetine 병용투여 6주후에 통계적으로 유의하게 감소되었다. 이중 40%의 환자에서는 병용투여 6주후에 HDRS 점수상 50% 이상의 감소를 보여, 일부의 환자들에서는 정신분열병에 동반된 우울증상의 치료에 소량의 삼환계 항우울제와 paroxetine의 병용치료가 효과가 있음을 확인하였다. 2) 두 명의 환자에게서 심각한 약물독성이 발생하였다. 이중 한 명은 삼환계 항우울제의 높은 혈중농도로 인한 항콜린성 위기(anticholinergic crisis) 소견을 보였으며, 다른 한 명은 인지기능 및 의식수준은 명료하였으나 망상과 환각증상이 약화되는 소견을 보였다. 따라서 본 연구에서 시도된 복합적 약물치료의 경우, 삼환계 항우울제의 혈중농도의 측정을 포함한 세심한 임상적 추적이 필요하다고 생각된다. 3) 기저치의 amitriptyline과 그 대사물인 nortriptyline의 농도합. imipramine과 대사물인 desipramine의 농도합은 각각 47.8-226.5ng/㎖. 80.5-395.6ng/㎖였으며 일반적으로 이들 약물들의 단독사용시에 문헌에 보고된 혈중농도를 훨씬 상회하고 있었다. 이는 병용투여된 항정신병 약물 약시 강력한 CYP2D6 효소억제제로서 기저치의 삼환계 항우울제들의 혈장농도를 이미 상당히 증가시켰던 것으로 판단되며, 그러한 결과로 인해 본 연구에서는 paroxetine이 이전의 문헌보고들과는 달리 뚜렷하게 삼환계 항우울제들의 혈장농도를 증가시키지 못하였다. 본 연구는 SSRI와 삼환계 항우울제의 병합 투여가 우울증의 개선 효과를 빠르게 하고, 치료역을 넓히고, 약물상호작용의 결과 paroxetine이 삼환계 항우울제의 혈중농도를 증가시킨다는 기존의 연구결과를 이용하여 정신분열병 우울증상의 치료에 parotextine과 소량의 삼환계 항우울제를 병용하는 방법을 시도해 본 연구이다. 저자들은 이러한 약물치료가 일부의 환자들에게서 효과가 있음을 관찰하였으나, 항정신병약물과 삼환계 항우울제를 병용투여 할 경우는 물론 이에 paroxetine과 같은 선택적 세로토닌 재흡수 억제제를 병용할 경우 복합약물상호작용의 결과로 약물독성의 위험성이 크며 세심한 주의가 필요함을 경험하였다. Depression is well-known to comorbid with several psychiatric disorders. Many schizophrenics also suffer from depression in the course of their illness. Combined therapy of SSRI and tricyclic antidepressants were reported to have benefits in some depressed patients. Paroxetine, a potent CYP2D6 inhibitor, increases the blood levels of tricyclic antidepressant markedly. Using paroxetine, we tried this combined therapy in the treatment of depressive symptoms in 10 chronic schizophrenic inpatients and evaluated its efficacy and drug interactions between paroxetine and tricyclic antidepressants. The following results were obtained : 1) The mean score of Hamilton's Depression Rating Scale(HDRS) was reduced significantly after 6 weeks-trials of this combined therapy for the mild depressive symptoms in 10 chronic schizophrenics. In four patients, 50% or more reductions in the scores of HDRS were noticed at final evaluation. 2) Two among our 10 subjects experienced severe toxic behavioral problems. Anticholinergic crisis with toxic confusion due to high blood levels of tricyclics was found in one patient and the other showed rapid clinical deterioration in his psychotic symptoms such as delusion and hallucination without any consciousness alternation. 3) Baseline plasma levels of tricyclics before adding paroxetine were higher than expected in our chronic schizophrenic subjects maintained with their antipsychotic medications. Several antipsychotics were also known as a potent CYP2D6 inhibitors and to increase the blood levels of tricyclics. Because the blood levels of tricyclics had already increased significantly by the use of antipsychotics, adding paroxetine to antipsychotics and tricyclic antidepressant in our subjects could increase the blood levels of tricyclics not so much as previously reported in the literatures.

        인장물성 평가를 위한 고온연속압입시험법의 실험조건 결정

        High temperature mechanical properties, especially tensile properties, are basic data to determine safety and integrity of materials and structure used at the high operating temperature. High temperature tensile properties of materials and structures in use cannot be generally obtained from conventional tensile test. Continuous indentation technique has been researched as an alternative to conventional tensile test and optimum experimental conditions were reported for the continuous indentation testing at room temperature recently. In this study, optimum experimental conditions were suggested for the testing at elevated temperature. Especially, the parameters related to the time such as loading rate and holding time were given priority contrary to their negligible effects at room temperature. As a result, loading rate should be selected to enable to reflect the work-hardening characteristics of testing object. Since holding time is related to indentation creep phenomena causing the change of indentation load-displacement curve shape by load relaxation during holding at maximum load, it should be selected to enable to minimize load relaxation.

        구치부 복합레진 수복을 위한 와동 이장용 재료의 방사선불투과성에 관한 연구

        Purpose : The aim of this study was to determine the relative radiopacities of cavity lining materials (Resin-modified Glass Ionomer cement, Composer and plowable resin) for posterior composite resin restoration. Material & Methods : Resin-modified glass ionomer cement (Fuji II LC, VitrebondTM), Compomers (Dyract□, Compoglass, F2,000, Dyract□ flow Compoglass Flow) find Flowable resins (Tetric□ flow, AelitefloTM RevolutionTM) were used. Five specimens of 5 mm in diameter and 2 mm thick were fabricated with each material. Human molars were horizontally sectioned 2 mm thick to include both enamel and dentin. The radiopacities of enamel, dentin, cavity lining materials, aluminum step wedge were obtainded from conventional radiograph and NIH image program. Results : All the tested lining materials showed levels of radiopacity the same as or greater than that of dentin. All compomer tested (Dyract□, Compoglass, F2,000, Dyract□ flow, Compoglass Flow) and VitrebondTM, Tetric□ flow were more radiopaque than enamel. The radiopacities of Fuji II LC and RevolutionTM were between enamel and dentin and resin-modified glass ionomer cement, Compomer and Tetric□ flow were greater than those of RevolutionTM, AelitefloTM or dentin. The level of radiopacity of the tested materials was variable; those with low radiopacity should be avoided in class II restorations, where a clear determination of recurrent caries by the examining clinician could be compromised. Conclusion : Clinician should be able to distinguish these cavity lining materials radiographically from recurrent decay, voids, gaps, or other defects that lead to clinical failure. Utilization of materials ranked more radiopaque than enamel would enable clinicians to distinguish the lining material from tooth structure. (Korean J Oral Maxillofac Radiol 2000; 30:243-248)

      • 한국제조산업의 총요소생산성의 측정

        최근까지 총요소생산성(TFP)성장율 추정치의 결과는 국가마다, 그리고 분석기간에 따라서 상당한 차이를 보이고 있다. 기본적인 솔로우 잔차항에 근거한 TFP의 추정은 세 가지 점을 고려하지 않은 단점을 지니고 있다. 즉 표준적인 솔로우 잔차항에 근거한 총요소생산성은 완전경쟁시장, 규모의 보수불변(constant returns to scale), 자원의 완전고용을 전제로 추정되기 때문에, 현실적으로 시장지배력(market power), 규모의 경제, labor and capital hoarding의 문제를 도외시하고 있다. 본 논문은 Hall(1990)의 비용분배(cost based)모형에 근거하여 한국의 총요소생산성을 18개의 제조산업별로 추정하였다. 특히 한국의 제조산업은 중간재의 수입에 대한 해외의존도가 큰 점을 고려하여 중간재를 국내중간재와 해외로부터 수입되는 해외중간재로 나누어 분석하였다. Basu(1996)의 경우 중간재를 대리변수로 이용하여 TFP를 추정하였으나 본 논문은 제조업 가동율이 경기변동을 나타내는 주요 지표임을 감안하여 제조업 가동율을 이용하여 생산요소의 Hoarding의 문제를 제거하였다. 추정결과, 규모의 보수는 분석기간(1970-1995)에서 제조업 비내구재 0.83, 내구재는 0.98, 그리고 제조업 전체는 0.91의 보수감소를 보이고 있다. 총요소생산성 증가는 같은 기간에서 비내구재 3.15%, 내구재 -0.56%, 그리고 제조업전체는 2.12%로 추정되었다. 한국제조산업의 경우 총요소생산성 증가율는 약한 경기역행성을 나타내고 있으며 또한 시장지배력이 큰 산업에서 그리고 해외중간재의 투입비중이 큰 산업에서 기술진보가 상대적으로 크게 증가했다고 결론지을 수 있다.

      • 韓牛 種牡牛의 體重에 對한 環境要因의 影響

        This study was carried out to investigate overall performance and to estimate effects of the environmental factors on body weights of the bull in Korean Native Cattle. Data used for this study included a total of 545 heads of Korean Native Cattle recorded from 1981 to 1990 at Alpine Experiment Station located in Kangwon province. The effects of year of birth, age of dam, parity of dam and season of birth were estimated by means of least squares method. Overall least squares means and standard errors for the body weights of the bull at birth, 4, 6, 12 and 18 months of ate were 26.8±0.13, 99.3±0.58, 142.4±0.80, 338.0±1.34 and 484.2±2.00㎏, respectively. The effects of year of birth showed significant differences on birth weigh and highly significant differences on the other traits. The effects of age of dam showed significant differences on 4 months of age. The effects of season of birth showed significant differences on all of the traits. the calves born in winter or spring were heavier than those born in summer or fall.
