이온강도에 따른 Agar와 공정육묘용 상토에서 기내배양된 딸기 소식물체의 생육

This study was conducted to investigate the effect of supporting material and ionic strength of the MS medium on growth of strawberry plantlets cultured in vitro for the rapid mass production. Explants of Fragaria ananassa ‘Houkouwase’ in vitro were planted in the agar or Tosilee (commercial plug medium) medium as the supporting material and supplied with 1/4 MS, 1/2 MS or basal (as the control) MS medium in an autotrophic micropropagation. Plant height and root length were significantly greater when they were cultured in 1/2 MS medium as compared to those grown in the agar medium. Also, shoot fresh and dry weights, and leaf area in the 1/2 MS medium were greater than in 1/4 MS or basal MS medium. When plantlets were cultured in Tosilee medium and fed with the basal MS medium, plant height, root length, shoot fresh and dry weights, root fresh and dry weights, and leaf area were promoted and greater than those in plantlets cultured in the agar medium.
Growth of Phalaenopsis Plants as Affected by Nutrient Solution Composition

Study was conducted to examine the effect of nutrient solution composition on growth of potted Phalaenopsis JMP 77 × Phal. Reugrih ‘Stripe’ (Stripe) and Dtps. City Girl M-2 × Dtps. [City Girl × (Love Street × Spot Jason)] M51 ‘White Red Lip’ (White Red Lip). Two or eight months old clonal micropropagules were cultured with nutrient solutions formulated by Ross, Ichihashi, Sonneveld, and Peter’s fertilizer. Conventional commercial solid fertilizer was used as the control. Plants were transplanted into 7.5 ㎝ (two months old seedlings) or 10 ㎝ (eight months old seedlings) plastic pots filled with 100% sphagnum moss on June 10, 2004 and grown for 86 days. Plants were irrigated with either water (solid fertilizer treatment) or one of the solutions when medium water potential reached to -20 ㎪. pH of the solutions was in the range of 5.7 and 6.4. When eight months old seedlings were transplanted, number of leaves, root length and total fresh weight of ‘White Red Lip’ were significantly greater in the Ichihashi solution than those in the other treatments. Number of leaves, leaf length, and leaf width of both cultivars were the greatest in the Ichihashi solution when two months old seedlings were transplanted. Treatment effect was more pronounced in ‘White Red Lip’ than in ‘Stripe’, and in eight months than in two months old seedlings. Scanning electron micrographs of leaflets showed no difference in longitudinal cell shape as affected by different nutrient solution compositions.
토마토 공정묘의 상업적 생산을 위한 배지구성물질로서 발포유리와 탄화 밤나무 칩의 이용

본 연구는 배지 구성물질로서 발포 유리질 해(CGF)와 탄화 밤나무 목재입자(CCW)를 이용하여 배지를 개발하고 원예재배용 배지의 국산화를 위해 수행되었다. 토마토 종자는 발포 유리질 소재, 탄화 목재입자, 입상암면(GR), 그리고 피트모스를 혼합한 4종의 배지를 만들어 플러그 트레이에 충진하여 종지를 200구 플러그 트레이에 4반복으로 파종한 후 fog 번식상에서 3일간 발아시켰다. 발아 후 양지붕형 유리온실에 난괴법으로 배치하여 저면관수로 양액을 공급하여 육묘하였다. 상업적으로 이용되는 공정육묘 배지(토실이)를 대조구로 이용하였다. 플러그묘의 생육은 파종 후 31일째 측정하였다. 모든 처리에서 유사한 생육결과를 나타냈지만 특히 CCW(67%)+peatmoss(33%) 혼합배지에서 초장, 뿌리등급, 생체중, 그리고 배지의 기상과 가비중이 다른 처리에서보다 유의성 있게 좋았다. 모든 배지의 pH는 6.3~7.4 범위로 측정되었다. CGF와 입상암면의 혼합비율이 증가할수록 배지의 pH는 증가하였다. 재배후 배지의 EC는 대조구에서 가장 높았으나 독성증상은 관찰되지 않았다. 엽수와 엽록소 함량은 처리간 유의성이 없었다. This study was conducted in a commercial plug glasshouse in Sacheon to examine the possibility of producing tomato plug seedlings using various growing media containing cellular glass foam (CGF) and carbonized chestnut woodchips (CCW) as medium components. Plug seedlings of 'Seogun' tomato were grown in media containing 50% CCW+50% peatmoss, 33% CGF+67% peatmoss, and 50% peatmoss+50% granular rockwool. A commercial plug medium (Tosilee) was used as the control. All seeds were sown in 200 cell plug trays on November 28, 2001. Seedling growth was measured at 31 days after sowing. Each treatment showed a similar growth result as compared to the control. Plant height, root grade, fresh weight, and air space and bulk density of the medium were significantly greater in the 33% CGF+67% peatmoss treatment than those in the other media. However, growth was slightly suppressed in the 50% CCW+50% peatmoss. pH and EC of the media were the highest in the control treatment, although no toxicity symptoms had been observed. The results suggest that perlite can be replaced with a new material such as CGF in the commercial scale production of plug seedlings of 'Seogun' tomato.
발포유리와 탄화 밤나무 칩을 함유한 혼합배지에서 접목 수박 공정묘의 생산

The experiment was conducted in a commercial plug glasshouse to examine the possibility of producing plug seedlings of grafted watermelon in media containing chips of cellular glass foam (CGF) and carbonized chestnut woodchip (CCW) as a medium component. Plug seedlings of ‘Galchae’ watermelon were grown in media containing 50% CCW + 50% peatmoss, 33% CGF + 67% peatmoss, and 50% peatmoss + 50% granular rockwool. A commercial plug medium (Tosilee) was used as the control. The scion and the rootstock used were Citrullus vulgaris Schrad. ‘Galchae’ and Lagenaria sceraria Standl. ‘FR-Dantos’, respectively. All treatments showed a similar growth result as compared to the control. pH of the media was measured to be in a range of 6.4 to 7.5. EC was the highest in the control (564 μS?·㎝?¹), but no salt toxicity symptoms were observed. Root length, no. of leaves, root grade, leaf area, and chlorophyll concentration in a 33% CGF + 67% peatmoss medium were significantly greater than those of the other media. T/R ratio, dry matter, and fresh and dry weights of root were not significantly different.
