The 'Olympic Artistic Program' has showcased a remarkable blend of advanced technology and motion graphics in a representative art performance. This study introduced a comprehensive framework considering motion graphics and performer interactions, leading to distinct classifications, and analyzed the unique traits of these types. Building on past research, three dimensions and their elements were identified. Expert evaluations of 90 Olympic art programs underwent cluster and descriptive statistics analysis, yielding four classifications: Type 1, narrative-driven; Type 2, emphasizing particle effects; Type 3, integrating performers; and Type 4, sound-interlocking. Visual elements predominated in all but Type 1, with the 'particle' element prominent in the second type. Types 3 and 4, with intricate interactions, have evolved into diverse convergence art forms since the 2014 Sochi Olympics, offering immersive experiences. This research seeks to redefine performing arts classification and efficient production methods using advanced technology.
A Gut Feeling to Cure Diabetes: Potential Mechanisms of Diabetes Remission after Bariatric Surgery

A cure for type 2 diabetes was once a mere dream but has now become a tangible and achievable goal with the unforeseen success of bariatric surgery in the treatment of both obesity and type 2 diabetes. Popular bariatric procedures such as Roux-en-Y gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy exhibit high rates of diabetes remission or marked improvement in glycemic control. However, the mechanism of diabetes remission following these procedures is still elusive and appears to be very complex and encompasses multiple anatomical and physiological changes. In this article, calorie restriction, improved β-cell function, improved insulin sensitivity, and alterations in gut physiology, bile acid metabolism, and gut microbiota are reviewed as potential mechanisms of diabetes remission after Roux-en-Y gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy.
동절기 도시철도 출입문 개방시 객실 실내 온도 하강 연구

일반적으로 동절기에 도시철도 차량의 출입문을 개방하면 차가운 외기가 실내로 유입되어 온도가 낮아지며 승객의 열적 쾌적성을 저하시키는데, 이 연구에서는 철도차량 실대형 환경챔버를 이용하여 승객이 없는 조건에서 출입 문을 열고 닫을 때 객실 내부의 공간별 온도 변화를 실험적으로 알아보았다. 출입문 개방 지속 시간을 15초에서 90초까지 변화시키면서 객실 내부 15개 지점에서의 온도 변화를 측정하였다. 그 결과 출입문 개방 지속 시간이 길어질수록 온도 하강이 크게 나타나, 온도 하강을 최소화하기 위해서는 출입문 개방 시간의 최소화가 필요한 것으로 판단된다. 출입문 개방시 수평 및 수직 평면에서의 온도 분포 변화 분석 결과, 수평 평면에서는 위치별 온도 차이가 크지 않았으나, 수직 평면에서는 높이에 따라 온도 차이가 크게 나타났다. 이는 차가운 외기가 출입문 하부를 통해 객실로 유입되고, 객실 내부의 따뜻한 공기는 출입문 상부를 통해 외부로 유출됨을 의미한다. 따라서 출입문 개폐에 의한 쾌적성 저하를 최소화하기 위해서는 출입문 하부를 통한 차가운 외기 유입을 최소화하는 것이 필요함을 알 수 있었다.

Honeybee venom consists of melittin, apamin, phospholipase A2, hyaluronidase and other biologically active substances. It can cause potentially lethal reaction after mass envenomation. But, acute renal failure following multiple bee stings is rare and its pathogenesis is not well known. The possible causes of acute renal failure due to multiple bee stings are rhabdomyolysis, hemolysis and direct nephrotoxicity of bee venom. A 60-year-old man was the victim of a bee(Apis mellipra) attack. More than 780 bee stings were found over his face, neck and upper extremities. Gross hematuria, oliguria and generalized edema was developed within a few hours. He has fully recovered after general supportive care including hemodialysis. This case demonstrates that multiple bee stings may cause rhabdomyolysis with consequent acute renal failure.

Purpose: Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) can cause serious respiratory illnesses such as pneumonia, asthma, and bronchiolitis in infants and elderly or immunocompromised individuals. An RSV vaccine has yet to be developed; only prophylactic anti-RSV antibody is commercially available. So, we investigated whether our vaccine candidate is able to induce type 1 CD4+ T helper (Th1), CD8+ T-cell responses, and protective immunity without vaccineenhanced disease (VED) against RSV. Materials and Methods: We used RSV G protein fragment (Gcf A) with recombinant baculovirus capable of expressing the RSV M2 protein (Bac M2) as a vaccine candidate, and injected this vaccine (Gcf A/Bac M2) intramuscularly, and challenged with RSV intranasally into mice. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, flow cytometry, plaque assay, and weight measurement were performed to confirm humoral immunity, cellular immunity, and protective immunity. Results: The Gcf A/Bac M2 formulation induced a stronger IgG response to Gcf A than Gcf A inoculation alone, and the ratio of IgG1/IgG2a indicated that the responses shifted predominantly to Th1. In addition, both RSV G-specific Th1 responses and RSV M2-specific CD8+ T-cell responses were induced, and G protein-associated eosinophilic infiltration was suppressed compared to the control group. Moreover, the Gcf A/Bac M2 group showed effective protection after an RSV challenge. Conclusion: Bac M2 could serve as a vaccine with intrinsic adjuvant activity, and the Gcf A/Bac M2 shows promise as a vaccine candidate for inducing protective immunity without inciting VED.
