Fabrication of Chromatic Electronic Textiles Synthesized by Conducting Polymer

Most of the electronic textiles (e-textiles) were fabricated by carbon-based materials such as graphene, carbon nanotube (CNT), and hybrids of graphene and CNTs due to their high electrical conductivity, exibility, and good stability. However, it is dicult to synthesize a colored e-textiles because the carbon-based e-textiles have only a black color. In this study, we produced the chromatic e-textiles synthesized with dierent conductive polymer such as polyaniline, polythiophene, and poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)-poly(styrenesulfonate). The chromatic e-textiles were simply fabricated by soaking commercial cotton into an aqueous conductive polymer solution. The chromatic e-textiles were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The electrical conductivity of the chromatic e-textiles was the order of 103 S/cm, which was maintained even under bending.

The purpose of this study is to suggest 'Long-term Land Leasing Business Model of State-Owned Lands' for efficient State Land use. The results of application condition analysis show that inefficient land use and deterioration of Administrative Property. Feasibility study of low use Tax Office to introduce 'Long-term Land Leasing System' shows that the more business period, the more business value improvement. Under the present land use condition, B/C becomes plus in 38 years. Whereas in case of upzoning B/C becomes plus also 30-year business period. To attract private capital it is necessary to provide incentive such as upzoning and reduction of land leasing fee. Above all, it is necessary to make direct private participation environment through relaxation of Administrative Property use regulations.
Ship Safety Policy Recommendations for Korea: Application of System Dynamics

This study aimed to demonstrate and quantify the factors that influence ship safety and ship accidents and suggest policy recommendations for both government and the marine industry in Korea based on the application of system dynamics (SD). Korea was selected as the target country because a number of recent ship accidents have focused attention on ship safety in the region. Three factors that can influence ship safety were considered: economic factors, ship-handling and management factors, and government budget allocation of ship industry. SD was then applied to model the factors involved in ship accidents. Data on ship accidents in Korea from 2009–2014 were included in the model simulation. To measure the simulation accuracy, mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) analysis was employed. Following the simulation, a sensitivity analysis was conducted to determine the relationships among the factors involved in ship accidents. Finally, a simulation incorporating ship accident data and government budget allocated to the ship industry was performed. The results of this study can be used in government policy recommendations on ship safety to prevent and reduce ship accidents.
In vivo Evaluation of PEEK Copolymer Composites for Prosthetic Spine

In this study, we evaluated the biosafety of a novel polyetheretherketone (PEEK) copolymer [P(E2-E4)K] composite using an animal model to test an implanted orthopedic spine cage. The PEEK copolymer was synthesized by solution polymerization with diphenyl sulfone solvent and blended with carbon fibers and graphene oxide to produce the composite. The P(E2-E4)K composite exhibited improved mechanical properties, similar to natural bone. The animal study results for short-term inflammation evaluation by hematoxylin & eosin and immunostaining methods showed significant histochemical stability for 3 weeks after implantation, demonstrating the required biosafety for medical application as an implantable spine cage.
In-vitro toxicity study of poly(alkylphenol) as vulcanizing agent

In this study, cytotoxicity of various novel poly(alkylpehnol) derivatives which, one of constituent for vulcanizing agent, could be adjusted in medical elastic rubber applications were investigated under various conditions of cytotoxicity test. By MTT-assay which according to ISO 10993–5 regulation, we could figure out cell viability of mouse fibroblast in various sample conditions. Furthermore, by Live & Dead Cell assay, we could get colorimetric cell viability via fluorescence images.
