        When Can Support Vector Machine Achieve Fast Rates of Convergence?

        Classication as a tool to extract information from data plays an impor-tant role in science and engineering. Among various classication method-ologies, support vector machine has recently seen signicant developments.The central problem this paper addresses is the accuracy of support vectormachine. In particular, we are interested in the situations where fast ratesof convergence to the Bayes risk can be achieved by support vector machine.Through learning examples, we illustrate that support vector machine mayyield fast rates if the space spanned by an adopted kernel is suciently large.

        Collagen 유도의 사람 혈소판에서 Cyclic Nucleotides 생성 및 Ca<SUP>2+</SUP> 동원 조절을 통한 Hydroxygenkwanin의 항혈소판 작용

        심장과 혈관에 영향을 미치는 것으로 알려진 심혈관 질환은 전 세계적인 주요 사망 원인으로 심혈관계 질환 치료를 위해 다양한 항혈소판제가 사용되고 있다. 최근에는 항혈소판제가 갖는 부작용 때문에 부작용이 적은 천연 생물 활성 화합물을 항혈소판 물질로 개발하기 위한 노력이 이루어지고 있다. 팥꽃나무(Daphne genkwa)의 주요 성분인 hydroxygenkwanin은 항균, 항염증 및 항암 효과와 함께 조직 인자를 억제하여 혈전증을 예방한다고 보고된 바 있지만 항혈소판 효과와 그 작용기전에 대해서는 거의 알려진 바가 없다. 본 연구는 hydroxygenkwanin이 collagen 유도의 사람 혈소판에 미치는 효과를 확인하였고, hydroxygenkwanin이 cAMP 및 cGMP 생성 증가 및 의존성 kinase의 활성화를 통해 VASP 및 IP3R이 인산화를 일으키는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이를 통해 세포질 내로의 Ca<SUP>2+</SUP> 동원을 억제하였고 fibrinogen 결합을 감소하였으며, hydroxygenkwanin에 의해 thrombin으로 유도한 fibrin clot의 형성이 억제되었다. 그러므로 본 연구를 통해 hydroxygenkwanin이 비정상적인 혈소판 활성화 및 혈전 형성으로 인하여 초래되는 심혈관 질환의 효과적인 예방 및 치료제로 개발될 가치가 있음을 제안한다. Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a major cause of death and is treated using various antiplatelet agents. Recently, several efforts have been made to develop antiplatelet agents from natural biologically active compounds due to the side effects of the antiplatelet agent currently used. Hydroxygenkwanin is a major component of Daphne genkwa and has been reported to prevent thrombosis by inhibiting tissue factors and to have antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer effects. However, little is known about its antiplatelet effect or mode of action. This study confirms the effect of hydroxygenkwanin on collagen-induced human platelets and reports that hydroxygenkwanin induces the phosphorylations of VASP and IP3R by increasing the productions of cAMP and cGMP and activating dependent kinases and thus inhibiting the translocation of Ca<SUP>2+</SUP> to cytoplasm, fibrinogen binding, and fibrin clot formation. Our findings suggest that hydroxygenkwanin has potential for the treatment of CVD by inhibiting platelet activation and thrombus formation.

      • 교내 실내 공기에서 부유 미생물의 분포

        The pathogenic and non-pathogenic microorganism have been isolated from the indoor airborne, the closest environment of human beings. Our purpose were to investigate the distribution of fungi and bacteria in indoor airborne sampled from 7 locations in Namseoul University for 2 months from September to October, 2010. The isolated bacteria were identified by Gram stain and biochemical test using VITEKTM system, also The fungus were identified by LPCB. The experiment on microorganism concentration of indoor air carried out and the average of total microorganism was measured. When airborne bacteria were isolated and identified. The isolation rates of Gram positive cocci, Gram positive bacilli, Gram negative bacilli, and Gram negative cocci were 38.3%, 22.4%, 2.7%, 0%, respectively. In Gram positive cocci, the most strains were identified as Micrococcus spp. In Gram positive bacilli, the most strains were identified as Bacillus spp. The frequently isolated fungi were Aspergillus sp, Penicillium sp, Alternaria sp, Rhizopus sp, Mucor sp. respectively. Further systematic studies are necessary with an emphasis on species identification. Key Words : Microorganism, Fungus, Indoor Airborne, Micrococcus, Aspergillus

        동물 분자 진단 시장의 동향

        Recently, the rapid growth of the companion animal market has led to the development of animal disease diagnosis kits. Therefore, the utility of the introduction of biomarkers for the development of animal molecular diagnostics is being reevaluated. A good biomarker should be precise and reliable, distinguish between normal and diseased states, and differentiate between different diseases. Recently reported genetic markers, tumor markers (cell free DNA, circulating tumor cells, granzyme, and skin tumors), and others (brucellosis, programmed death recovery-1, symmetric dimethylarginine, periostin, and cysteinyl leukotrien) have been developed. The biomarkers are used for risk prediction or for the screening, diagnosis, and monitoring of disease progression. The most important criteria for related biomarkers are disease specificity. Many potential biomarkers have emerged from laboratory and test studies, but they have not been validated in independent or large-scale clinical studies. Candidate biomarkers evaluate disease associations, verify the effectiveness of biomarkers for early detection and disease progression, and incorporate them into humans and animals. In the future, it will be necessary to reevaluate the utility of well-structured biomarker-based research and study the development of kits that can be used in on-site tests in accordance with the trends introduced in the diagnosis of animal diseases. 최근 반려동물 시장의 급격한 성장으로 인해 동물용 질병 진단키트의 개발이 이루어지고 있다. 이에 동물 분자진단 개발을위한 바이오마커의 도입으로 효용성을 재평가하고 있다. 좋은바이오 마커는 정확하고 신뢰할 수 있어야 하고, 정상 상태와 질병 상태를 구별하고, 다른 질병을 구별해야 한다. 최근 보고된유전마커나 세포유리 DNA, 순환종양세포, granzyme, 피부종양에 관한 종양마커의 개발이 활발히 이루어지고 있으며, 기타로는 브루셀라증, programmed death receptor-1, symmetric dimethylarginine, periostin, cysteinyl leukotrien이 활발히도입되고 있다. 따라서 바이오마커는 위험 예측에 사용되거나질병 진행의 스크리닝, 진단 및 모니터링에 사용된다. 관련 바이오 마커에 대한 가장 중요한 기준은 질병 특이성이며 많은 잠재적 바이오 마커가 실험실 및 시험 연구에서 출현했지만, 독립적인 실험이나 대규모 임상 연구에서 검증이 부족하다. 후보 바이오 마커는 질병과 연관성을 평가하고, 조기 발견, 질병 진행에대한 바이오 마커의 유효성을 검증하여서 인간 및 동물에게 접목하게 된다. 향후 잘 구조화 된 바이오마커 기반 연구의 효용성을 재평가하고 동물 질병 진단에 도입되는 추세에 맞춰 현장검사에서 활용될 수 있는 키트의 개발에 대한 연구가 요구돼야 할것으로 사료된다.

        로렌스의 삶의 비전:『사랑하는 여인들』연구

        D.H. Lawrence's Women in Love is his great novel which is analyzing the relationships between two couples, Birkin-Ursula and Gerald-Gudrun in the problem of their marriage. Lawrence can be classed as a Romantic writer whose romantic conviction is that each man must create his own - he no longer talks in term of a transcendent personal God or an after life, but in terms of life, a central Romantic term: "I believe in life." We can recognize virtually anywhere in Lawrence's novels, particularly in the novel of Women in Love, the explanatory statements of his obsessive idea of the opposites and their relation. However, Lawrence is not content with mere recognition of the existence of the opposites. For Lawrence the integration or balance of the opposite forces is the key to the whole vital process. This idea is not the aspect of dualism, but the dynamic element of life which is described by Lawrence as polarity. D.H. Lawrence is the writer who drank deeply at philosophy's fountain, and his vision of life is influenced by Romantic writers' philosophic ideas and has a logic of its own. This paper is searching for influences of the Romantic thinkers, Arthur Schopenhauer, and mainly those of Frederick Nietzsche. Lawrence read greedily and widely, and, as Jessie Chambers observes, the reading was a groping for something that he could lay hold of as a guiding principle in his writing life. Among the many books of philosophy, Schopenhauer's The Metaphysics of Love and Nietzsche's Will to Power remained an abiding influence in Lawrence's philosophical development. As there is an important parallel relation between Lawrence and Nietzsche, it is particularly important to compare Nietzsche's idea of Dionysus and Apollo in The Birth of Tragedy with the polarity principle of life force in Study of Thomas Hardy and Women in Love. Women In Love, Lawrence's greatest novel, is his most successful attempt to combine metaphysic with a living sense of Being, to combine concept and metaphor. Like Nietzsche's masterpiece Thus Spoke Zarathustra, Lawrence's novel participates fully in what we have seen as the central philosophical task of its creator, which is the furthering of the evolution of man into complete individual like an angel.
