        감귤박 및 감태추출물의 사료첨가제 급여에 따른 둥근전복 (Haliotis discus discus)의 성장 및 생리적 변화

        Here, we report the physiological changes and growth in disk abalone, Haliotis discus discus, in relation to dietary supplementation with citrus pomace (CP) 6%, Ecklonia cava residue (ECR) 6%, and CP + ECR (3% + 3%). The composition and nutrient content, survival rate and growth rate were measured 0, 4, 8 and 12 weeks after feeding the supplemented diets of CP and/or ECR. Moreover, the experiment of low salinity stress (25psu) for environmental resistance was examined for a period of 48 hours after feeding the supplemented diets for 12 weeks. The activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), lysozymes, respiratory burst, and phenoloxidase were measured. The moisture content and crude protein condition of the body were increased with the addition of ECR only (P<0.05). We observed higher levels of survival in the experimental group compared with the control group. Moreover, the growth disk abalone that were fed a diet containing ECR was higher compared with the control group. However, the growth of abalone fed a diet containing CP was similar to the control group. With a rearing condition of low salinity stress, survival rate and lysozyme activity were increased in the ECR group compared with the control group. Dietary ECR reduced the level of CAT activity to approximately 30% of the control, however the level of CAT activity in the ECR group was similar to the start level of the previous stress. These results suggest that dietary ECR gives rise to an enhanced immunity in disk abalone, as a result of the decrease in CAT and lysozyme activity in particular. Accordingly, the growth and survival rate were increased by feeding an ECR-supplemented diet in the rearing of disk abalone, Haliotis discus discus.

        저선량 60Co감마선 조사 후 생산된 둥근전복( Haliotis discus discus)치패의 초기성장 변화에 관한 연구

        We observed that the growth and physiological change in Haliotis discus discus by low-dose irradiation with gamma ray.Irradiation with gamma ray was undertaken by using the low-level irradiation facility (60CO) in cooperation with the Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology at Jeju National University. The parent abalones were attached one by one and then fixed by using the rubber band to the front side of the fabricated case for irradiation with gamma ray. The experimental plots of irradiation with gamma ray were set as 10, 15, 20 and 25 Gy and the 25 female abalones and 10 male abalones were utilized for each experimental plot. The sperms and eggs were fertilized by setting an interval for each dose to prevent mixing with other experimental plots when fertilizing the sperms and eggs for each dose of irradiation with gamma ray. As for the fertility, it was confirmed to be 85% the control and 10 Gy groups, whereas it was found to be 80%, 65% and 50% in the 15 Gy, 20 Gy and 25 Gy groups, respectively. As a conclusion, the hatching rate and attachment rate were higher at 10 and 15 Gy than the other experimental plots, and the growth rate was higher at 20 Gy than the other experimental plots. Also the changes in lysozyme activity in accordance with the stress of water temperature were found to have a significant increase in the other experimental plots as compared with the control plot at the end of 0 h. The changes in lysozyme activity have remained constant in all the experimental plots at the end of 12 h. These results allowed us to confirm that lysozyme was undertaking the biodefense action by reacting sensitively to the stress of water temperature in the control experimental plot. As for the other experimental plots, they are believed to avoid the biodefense mechanism due to the high degree of anti-parasite mechanism and anti-viral mechanism. Thus, it is believed that it would be imperative to conduct development and research on breeds that were potent for environmental tolerance by applying the method of irradiation with gamma ray to other marine animals and plants.

        후쿠시마 원전 오염수 방류에 따른 지자체 대응 전략: 부산, 울산, 제주 사례 위주로

        일본 도쿄전력의 후쿠시마 원전 오염수 해양방류에 대해 한일해엽 연안 5개 지자체(제주, 전남, 경남, 부산, 울산)는 합동 대책위원회를 운영하고 있다. 본 연구는 제주연구원, 부산연구원, 울산연구원에서 일본 후쿠시마 원전 오염수 해양방류에 따른 대응 방안 연구의 일환으로 수행한 시민 설문조사, 대응 전략, 세부실천과제 등을 비교 분석하여 향후 타 연안도시 정책 입안자들이 실효성 있는 방안 마련을 위한 기초자료를 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 인식조사 결과 모든 지자체 시민들은 과학적 연구결과에 상관없이 해양방류에 대해 부정적 인식이 강한 것으로 나타나 향후 수산업, 관광업계의 피해가 클 것으로 예상된다. 지자체별 대응전략에서는 모든 지자체 공통으로 컨트롤 타워 구축이 가장 시급한 과제로 나타났다. 이는 실효성 있는 대응을 위해 공무원 조직 한계인 직제 중심에서 탈피하여 기능 중심 대응이 필요하기 때문이라고 판단된다. 또한 대응방법에 있어 제주와 부산은 분야별 대응방안을 수립한 반면, 울산시는 방류시점에 따른 단계별 대응방안으로 실질적 대응에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 내용적으로는 수산물 방사능 검사체계 구축, 국민의 불안감 해소를 위한 홍보가 중요한 것으로 나타났다. 향후 30년간 지속적으로 후쿠시마 원전 오염수의 해양방류가 예정되어 있는 만큼 지자체 연구기관 간 연구결과 및 성과 공유를 위한 네트워크 강화가 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

        연안자망 부이에 어구자동식별 장치 설치방안에 관한 기초적 연구

        As a series of fundamental researches on the development of an automatic identification monitoring system for fishing gear. Firstly, the study on the installation method of automated identification buoy for the coastal improvement net fishing net with many loss problems on the west coast was carried out. Secondly, the study was conducted find out how to install an automatic identification buoy for coastal gill net which has the highest loss rate among the fisheries. GPS for fishing was used six times in the coastal waters around Seogwipo city in Jeju Island to determine the developmental status and underwater behavior to conduct a field survey. Next, a questionnaire was administered in parallel on the type of loss and the quantity and location of fishing gear to be developed and the water transmitter. In the field experiment, the data collection was possible from a minimum of 13 hours, ten minutes to a maximum of 20 hours and ten minutes using GPS, identifying the development status and underwater behavior of the coastal gillnet fishing gear. The result of the survey showed that the loss of coastal net fishing gear was in the following order: net (27.3%), full fishing gear (24.2%), buoys, and anchors (18.2%). The causes were active algae (50.0%), fish catches (33.3%) and natural disasters (12.5%). To solve this problem, the installation method is to attach one and two electronic buoys to top of each end of the fishing gear, and one underwater transmitter at both ends of the float line connected to the anchor. By identifying and managing abnormal conditions such as damage or loss of fishing gear due to external factors such as potent algae and cutting of fishing gear, loss of fishing gear can be reduced. If the lost fishing gear is found, it will be efficiently collected. 이 연구는 어구자동식별 모니터링 시스템 개발에 관한 일련의 기초적인 연구로써, 1차적으로 서해안에서 유실문제가 많은 연안개량안강망 어구에 대한 어구자동식별 부이의 설치방안에 관한 연구를 수행하였고, 2차적으로 연안어업 중에서 유실률이 가장 높은 연안고정자망 어구를 대상으로 어구자동식별 부이의 설치방안을 강구하기 위하여 제주도 서귀포시 주변 연안 해역을 중심으로 6차례 조업용 어구에 GPS를 이용하여 부설전개상태와 수중의 거동을 파악하기 위한 현장실험을 실시하였고, 다음으로 어구의 유실형태 및 개발될 부이와 수중발신기의 수량 및 부착위치에 대하여 설문조사를 병행하여 조사하였다. 현장실험에서는 GPS를 이용한 데이터 수집을 최저13시간 10분에서 최대 20시간 10분까지 가능하였고 기초적인 연안고정자망 어구의 부설전개상태의 수중거동을 파악 할 수 있었다. 설문조사의 결과에서는 연안자망 어구의 유실은 망지(27.3%), 어구전체(24.2%) 및 부표(부이),닻(멍)(18.2%)순으로 유실된다고 나타났는데, 그 원인은 강한 조류(50.0%),어구절단(33,3%) 및 자연재해(12.5%) 순으로 응답했다. 이를 해결하기 위하여 어구자동식별 장치의 설치방안은 전자부이를 연안자망 어구의 양 끝단의 부표상부에 각각 1개씩 총 2개를 부착하고, 수중발신기는 닻과 연결된 뜸줄부 끝단에 각각 1개씩 총 2개를 부착함으로써, 강한 조류와 어구의 절단 등 외부적인 요인으로 인한 어구의 파손이나 유실 등의 이상상태를 실시간으로 확인하고 관리할 수 있게 함으로써 어구의 유실을 줄일 수 있고 유실어구가 발생할 경우에는 효율적으로 수거될 것으로 판단된다.
