초고강도 1470 MPa급 판재의 파단 이방성 실험 결과에 관한 연구

In the present work, the ductile fracture behaviors of ultra-high strength steel sheets along the different loading directions are investigated under various loading paths. Three loading paths, i.e., in-plane shear, uniaxial tension, plane strain tension deformations, are considered, and the corresponding specimens are described. The experiments are conducted using the digital image correlation (DIC) system to analyze the strain at the onset of the fracture. The experimental results show that the loading path for each specimen sample is linear, and different values of the fracture strains for the loading direction from the plane strain tension are observed. The ductile fracture model of the modified Mohr-Coulomb (MMC) is constructed based on the experimental data and evaluated along the rolling direction and transverse direction under various loading paths.

A burgeoning research documented protective effects of education on later life cognitive health but available evidences of gender difference, or female disadvantage, in cognitive health have not been consistent --some supporting female disadvantage while others no meaningful difference between genders. This study, through examining the joint effect of gender, age and education on cognitive health, aims to test whether and to what extent portrayed gender difference depends on education. This study, utilizing Korean Longitudinal Survey of Aging (KLoSA), analyzed 5,772 persons aged 45 and over who have completed five times of biannual survey since 2006. The results from the random coefficient model indicate that female disadvantage in cognitive health is indeed observed and it increases as age advances. Furthermore, the growing gender difference with age depends on education. More specifically, no cognitive disadvantage observed among female with high education yet increasing cognitive disadvantage with age observed among female with low education. The findings suggest that the female disadvantage in cognitive decline observed frequently by previous research may be conditional on socio-environmental contexts such as age and education.

2014년 하반기에 접어들면서 국제외환시장을 지배하기 시작했던 ‘통화정책 차별화’ 패러다임에 따른 글로벌 달러강세는 마무리 된 듯하다. 엔화의 급격한 강세 전환은 일본은행뿐만 아니라 전세계 금융시장을 긴장시키고 있다. 이제는 명목환율보다 명목실효(또는 실질실효) 환율에 따라 통화정책이나 환율정책을 단행하겠다는 세상이다. 국제유가의 추이도 여전히 주요 관찰대상이다. 외환시장의 혼조세는 좀 더 이어질 듯하며, 5월에 들어서면 Brexit(영국의 EU 탈퇴)가 본격적으로 시장의 주목을 끌지 않을까 생각된다.

Korea’s shipbuilding industry has led the world in the technical area over the last century. Despite this commendable performance, around 2,000 workers experience accidents almost every year with 40 being killed. This raises a question of whether the safety level of our shipbuilding industry, in particular the safety of workers, is actually at the world-class level. Accordingly, this research has analyzed several types of safety training currently provided in the field through investigating statistical data of serious accidents occurring from 2006 to 2015 in the domestic shipbuilding industry, analyzing its occurrence and causes, and conducting a survey targeting employees in the shipbuilding industry. Based on this, it has investigated problems of safety training in the shipbuilding industry and suggested improvements. First, it is essential to create a standard system for safety training in the shipbuilding industry to address problems of different kinds and levels of safety training provided by each shipyard and low quality of training, and operate more organized and systemized training. Second, safety training curriculum specializing in the shipbuilding industry should continue to be developed and standardized based on a standard system for safe training to prevent serious accidents and improve safety awareness of workers. Lastly, both employers and employees should actively provide and participate in safety training to secure safety of workers through preventing serious accidents and ultimately create safety-first culture in workplace.
