Development of Dance Learning System Using Human Depth Information
김예진 한국디지털콘텐츠학회 2017 한국디지털콘텐츠학회논문지 Vol.18 No.8
Human dance is difficult to learn since there is no effective way to imitate an expert’s motion, a sequence of complicated body movements, without taking an actual class. In this paper, we propose a dance learning system using human depth information. In the proposed system, a set of example motions are captured from various expert dancers through a marker-free motion capture and archived into a motion database server for online dance lessons. Given the end-user devices such as tablet and kiosk PCs, a student can learn a desired motion selected from the database and send one’s own motion to an instructor for online feedback. During this learning process, our system provides a posture-based motion search and multi-mode views to support the efficient exchange of motion data between the student and instructor under a networked environment. The experimental results demonstrate that our system is capable to improve the student’s dance skills over a given period of time.
Vol.55 No.6
Commercial boiled frozen ark shell Scapharca subcrenata (BFAS) is generally used as a seasoned seafood products. One problem facing the industry is that quality decreases during thawing. This study investigated ways to improve quality and shelf-stability of BFAS for use as a non-thermally prepared seasoned seafood products. The Viable bacteria were detected in BFAS after thawing under running water, but were not detected after blanching for over 2 min at 95±5°C. Blanching and dewatering times were optimized by response surface methodology (RSM) to reduce the initial number of bacteria and improve BFAS texture. Experimental design was deemed appropriate because no significant difference (P>0.05) was observed between predicted and actual moisture content, hardness, and overall acceptance values. Optimal blanching and dewatering times were 210 s and 80 s, respectively. Optimized blanching and dewatering processes can significantly improve safety and BAFS qualities including texture. These results indicate that BFAS demand as a staple for home meal replacements can be increased by application of optimized blanching and dewatering processes, especially in Korean seafood processing companies where running water thawing is common.

In this study, a cook looking at cooking related broadcasting programs wanted to study the social distance and job values between the task environment given to him. The population group is cook in Republic of Korea, and the sample group was collected from the Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, and recorded the data in the 1st day of July 1, 2016. A total of 500 copies of the questionnaire were distributed and 490 copies were collected, and finally, 460 copies were used to analyze the questionnaire. Using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 18.0 to analyze data, we sought to establish causal relationships between factors for frequency analysis, discovery factor analysis, reliability analysis, verification factor analysis, and hypothesis analysis. This study emphasizes not only the working environment issues but also importance of cooking and occupational values, as well as the importance of cooking and occupational importance. Based on the results of the cooking program and improvement in the cooking environment, it will guide the chef and the food industry in the future. It will enhance the efficiency of the chef's work and enhance the professionalism of the chef's work, improving the image of the chef, and improving the working environment.
해방기 서울신문사의 Song of Ariran 번역과 중간파 민족주의의 발현
김예진 한국번역학회 2019 번역학연구 Vol.20 No.5
This article aims to study the translation of Song of Ariran published in the United States in 1941. This biography of Kim San, a Korean independent movement fighter, was first introduced and translated, though partly, through a monthly magazine titled Shinchunji by the Seoulshinmunsa company in 1946. Since the executives and the editors of the company consisted of nationalistic, moderate political activists who envisioned an anti-imperial, anti-feudal and sovereign nation as their new nation, it was inevitable that, to some extent, the translation mirrored the political objectives of the translating agents. The translation of Song of Ariran, therefore, is expected to show how this translation was used to promote the political and nationalistic narratives in the midst of intense political competition between diverse political factions of taking the initiative in the national-building process in the Liberation Period. Drawing on Mona Baker’s socio-narrative approach, the analysis of the translation aims to explore to what extent the policies and political orientation of the translating institution contributed to the framing of nationalistic narratives. More specifically, it intends to show how the source text was manipulated in the target texts inclusive of paratexts, and how the narrative framing strategies and outcomes corresponded with the political cause of the moderate activists, i.e. the establishment of a united sovereign nation free from the intervention of the US and the USSR.
Temporal Transfer of Locomotion Style
김예진,김명규,Michael Neff 한국전자통신연구원 2015 ETRI Journal Vol.37 No.2
Timing plays a key role in expressing the qualitative aspects of a character’s motion; that is, conveying emotional state, personality, and character role, all potentially without changing spatial positions. Temporal editing of locomotion style is particularly difficult for a novice animator since observers are not well attuned to the sense of weight and energy displayed through motion timing; and the interface for adjusting timing is far less intuitive to use than that for adjusting pose. In this paper, we propose an editing system that effectively captures the timing variations in an example locomotion set and utilizes them for style transfer from one motion to another via both global and upper-body timing transfers. The global timing transfer focuses on matching the input motion to the body speed of the selected example motion, while the upper-body timing transfer propagates the sense of movement flow — succession — through the torso and arms. Our transfer process is based on key times detected from the example set and transferring the relative changes of angle rotation in the upper body joints from a timing source to an input target motion. We demonstrate that our approach is practical in an interactive application such that a set of short locomotion cycles can be applied to generate a longer sequence with continuously varied timings.
