      • 胡 Silage의 好氣的 變敗에 形하는 豫乾과 Propionic acid 및 Lactic acid bacteria의 效果

        호맥을 재료로 예취직후와 하루동안 예건한 후에 propionic acid를 재료 중량의 0.7% 처리하고 Lactobacillus plantarum을 10^5개 수준으로 첨가하여 silage를 제조하여 60일간 실내에서 보관하였다. 개봉후의 호기적 조건으로 silage의 각종 성분의 변화에 의한 품질 변화를 조사하였는데 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 호기적 기간동안 온도변화는 크게 나타나지 않았으며, 무처리보다 propionic acid 및 Lactobacillus plantarum 첨가한 것은 온도변화가 완만하였다. 2. 호기적 조건으로 인한 pH 변화는 무처리구는 크게 증가되었으나, propionic acid 및 Lactobacillus plantarum 첨가구는 거의 변화가 없었다. 3. 호기적 기간동안의 유산함량의 변화는 모든 처리구에서 감소되었으나, 예건을 하고 Lactobacillus plantarum 첨가구가 가장 높게 유지되었다. 4. 초산함량의 변화 또는 유산함량의 변화와 비슷한 경향이었다. 5. 낙산함량의 변화는 호기적 기간동안 큰 변화는 없었으며, Lactobacillus plantarum 첨가구가 가장 낮았다. 6. 총질소 함량 및 암모니아태질소 함량은 호기적 조건으로 증가되었으며, 총질소에 대한 암모니아태질소의 비율도 증가되어 품질이 떨어짐을 나타내었으나, propionic acid 및 Lactobacillus plantarum 첨가구는 품질 변화가 크지 않았다. 7. 호기적 조건에서의 silage의 화학적 조성은 큰 변화가 없었다. This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of propionic acid and lactobacillus plantarum preventing on aerobic deterioration of Rye plant silages. Grass material was wilted for a day before ensilng and propionic acid 0.7% (w/w), lactobacillus plantarum 10^5 of fresh matter was application at ensuing time. Changes in fermentation acids, temperature, pH, distribution of the nitrogen contents were evaluated from the time of opening the silo until the 7th day of aerobic exposure period. The results obtained are summarized as follows ; 1. During the 7 days of aerobic exposure period the temperature of silage with all treatment did not significantly increased. 2. Changes in pH values during the 7 days of exposure period, silage without any treatment dramatically increased while, pH values of silages treated propionic acid and lactobacillus plantarum remained nearly constant. 3. Lactic acid content was decreased in all silages while silage treated lactobacillus plantarum little changes in aerobic deterioration. 4. Acetic acid content was decreased for the silages treated lactobacillus plantarum. 5. Changes in butyric acid content was little, silages for lactobacillus plantarum treated lowest. 6. During the aerobic exposure period, total nitrogen and ammonia nitrogen content was increased, but silage for the propionic acid and lactobacillus plantarum treated fermentation quality was no marked difference.

      • 옥수수·鷄糞 silage 製造時 formic, propionic acid 添加가 品質에 미치는 影響

        옥수수 silage의 영양가치 증진과 계분의 효율적이 처리방안으로 옥수수-계분 silage 제조시 formic acid 및 propionic acid첨가가 발효품질에 미치는 영향을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 재료의 성분중 옥수수에 많은 것은 조섬유, NFE, NDF, ADF였으며, 육계분에는 조단백질, 회분이 많이 함유되어 있었다. 2. Formic acid, propionic acid첨가로 옥수수-계분 silage의 화학적 조성에는 큰 변화가 없었다. 3. Propionic acid첨가구가 총질소함량에 대한 암모니아질소함량의 비율이 가장 낮아 품질이 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 4. Propionic acid첨가구가 pH가는 가장 낮았고, Total acid함량은 가장 많았으나, Flieg's평점은 산처리 하지 않은 옥수수-계분 silage보다 낮았다. 5. 총생균수, 유산균수 및 대장균수로 볼 때 formic acid나 propionic acid첨가로 다소 발효억제효과를 찾을수 있으나 뚜렷하지는 않았다. This experiment conducted to determine the effects of formic and propionic acid on the quality of the corn-manured silage. Admixing corn forage with broiler manure at 30% rate(DM basis)and formic or propionic acid was added at ensiling time at 0.5%, 0.75% rate(wet basis) respectively. Chemical composition, fermentation acids, pH, microbial population and distribution of the nitrogen contents were evaluated. The results obtained are summarized as follows; 1. Nutrients such as crude protein, crude ash were supplied from the broiler manure while crude fiber, NFE, NDF and ADF were supplied from the whole crop corn. 2. By adding the formic and propionic acid in the corn-manured silage, there was no marked difference in the general chemical compositions. 3. Production of ammonia nitrogen was the lowest in the propionic acid adding corn manured silage. 4. The pH value of the silage with propionic acid was the lowest, however total acid content was the highest. 5. Both total bacteria numbers and lactic acid bacteria being estimated as 10^6-10^7per g silage, were not significantly different among treatments.

        긴장증의 임상적 특성에 대한 고찰

        26 cases(9 males and 17 females) with catatonia features on admission were analyzed in terms of its clinical characteristics. The results obtained were as follows : 1) In the diagnostic distribution, more than a half of the cases were schizophrenic disorders(57.5%) and the others were major depressions(26.9%) and schizophreniform disorders(15.4%). 2) The catatonia signs were nonspecific and evenly distributed among a variety of clinical diagnostic entities. But the signs of negativism, mutism, and posturing appeared frequently in all cases. 3) Acute onset was prevalent(65.4%), ECT was more frequently applied(61.5%) and treatment response was better(70.9%) in the catatonia group than non-catatonia. Although the definition of catatonia is not clear yet, above results support the opinions of previous studies that catatonia should be understood as a heterogenous symptom complex. And not only schizophrenia but also affective disorder are associated with catatonia features. This suggests that we have to re-evaluate the concept of Kahlbaum's old description.

      • 도축돈 장분변으로부터 Shiga Toxin-Producing Escherichia coli의 분리와 성상

        Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC) causes various clinical signs in human and animals, and has been indicated as a global enteropathogen with zoonotic importance. In this study, the feces of healthy pigs were collected from the slaughtered pigs of Daejon abattoir during the period from December 2001 to October 2002. Of 326 specimens, 13 STEC were confirmed by culture, PCR and colony hybridization. The isolates were further studied for toxin types, pathogenic factors, plasmid profiles, and antimicrobial resistance to characterize the genetic and toxigenic properties. In PCR, all of 13 isolates were evident to have shiga toxin gene (stx). Of 13 isolates stx1 gene was detected in 4 and stx2 gene in 9. The genes of eaeA, hlyA and rfbE were not present in any isolates. In colony hybridization using shiga toxin common primer (STXc), 2 to 9 per 100 colonies subcultured from 13 isolates showed the positive reaction. In the examination for plasmid profiles of the isolates, one to eleven plasmids with varying sizes of 1.0 Kb to 100 Kb were detected, and the 13 STEC could be classified into four groups by the plasmid patterns. The antimicrobial resistance patterns of the isolates were comparably corresponded with the plasmid profile patterns.

        뇌동맥류의 진단에 대한 전산화단층촬영 뇌혈관조영술과 고식적 뇌혈관조영술의 비교

        Cerebral angiography has been essential for the diagnosis of the intracranial aneurysms but. is sometimes accompanied by serious complications. Resolution of CT angiography was up-graded greatly to represent the three-demensional structure of vesseles since helical CT had been introduced. We have compared 26 cases of CT angiography and 28 cases of conventional angiography in terms of specificity and sensitivity for the diagnosis detectable aneurysm diameter. configurational diagnosis and diagnostic confidency. All results showed no statistical difference between CT angiography and conventional angiography. These should suggest that CT angiography could be replaced with conventional angiography for the diagnosis of ruptured aneurysms and even of unruptured aneurysms. resulting in the introduction of first screening modality of unruptured aneurysms.

        류마치스성 제1-2경추 아탈구 : 증례보고 Report of A Case

        Authors report a case of one-stage transoral decompression and posterior fusion in rheumatoid atlantoaxial subluxation. A 63-year-old man developed a rheumatiod atlantoaxial subluxation with mild weakness of all extremities which developed relatively suddenly 3 months after the initial symptom of neck pain. Skeletal traction followed by transoral decompression and occipitocervical fusion was performed on the same day. Postoperative course has been uneventful and revealed favorable fusion state of occipito-atlanto-axis. The pertinent literature on theumatoid atlanto-axial subluxation is reviewed and discussed.

        Background : Serum osteocalcin is synthesized by osteoblast and has been shown to be sensitive indicator of bone turnover inpatients with various metabolic bone disease. In renal osteodystrophy, serum osteocalcin is elevated due to decreased renal clearance and elevated level of PTH. This study was done to evaluate the usefulness of serum osteocalcin as a marker of bone metabolism and the correlation with other biochemical markers of bone metabolism. Methods : We measured serum osteocalcin, calcium, phosphorus, ALP(alkaline phosphatase) and PTH(parathyroid hormone) in 37 patients with end stage renal disease on hemodialysis. Osteocalcin was determined by radioimmunoassay and PTH was determined by radioimmunometric assay. Results : 1) The mean level of serum osteocalcin in ESRD patients was 233.8± 218.2ng/ml which was significantly higher than that of controls(p<0.0001). 2) The mean level of serum PTH in ESRD patients was 40.5± 43.8pg/ml was significantly higher than that of controls(p<0.005). 3) There was a significant positive correlation between the level of serum PTH, ALP and the level of serum osteocalcin in ESRD patients. 4) By using multiple regression, PTH is most reliable factor that affect to elevated level of serum osteocalcin ( beta coefficient = 0.687, Sig T<0.05). Conclusion : Serum osteocalcin as a marker of bone metabolism in ESRD patients is more useful than other biochemical marker such as serum calcium, phosphorus, ALP and PTH is a most reliable factor that affect to elevated level of serum osteocalin.

      • 高品質 豚肉 生産을 위한 고구마 사일리지의 開發에 關한 硏究 : 2. 肥肉豚에 대한 고구마 사일리지 給與가 生産形質과 經濟性에 미치는 影響 2. Effects of Feeding the Sweet Potato Silage on Performances and Production Cost of Finishing Pigs

        본 연구는 고구마 사일리지를 이용한 고품질 돈육 생산을 위하여 고구마 사일리지가 돼지에 대한 생산형질과 경제성에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 사양시험은 고구마 사일리지를 고구마 70, 맥강 20, 대두박 10의 비율(사일리지 1)과 고구마 70, 맥강 30의 비율(사일리지 2)로 500kg 용 사일로에 충진하여 21일간 발효시켜 제조하고, 급여시기를 각각 체중이 75kg 과 90kg부터 시작하여, 급여시간은 각각 32일과 25일로서 체중 110kg까지 사육하며, 동일한 교배조합(LYD)으로 생산된 육돈 암컷을 3반복, 반복당 18두씩 총 324두를 공시하였으며, 고구마 사일리지 급여량을 하루에 두당 0.4kg씩 공급한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 고구마 사일리지를 급여한 경우 개시 체중 75kg과 90kg 공히 종료시 체중, 증체량, 일당증체량 및 사료효율은 배합사료를 무제한 급여하는 대조구 보다 유의적으로 낮았고, 배합사료의 섭취량과 일당사료섭취량은 유의적으로 적게 섭취하였으나, 고구마 사일리지를 건물로 환산하여 합산한 총사료섭취량은 대조구와 고구마 급여구간에 비슷하게 나타났다. 2. 고구마 사일리지를 급여한 경우 배합사료의 섭취량은 줄어들어 배합사료비가 절감되나 고구마 사일리지를 섭취함으로서 총사료비는 비슷하다. kg 증체에 소요되는 사료비는 높게 나타났고, 배합사료급여를 기준한 생산 지수는 고구마 사일리지 급여구가 40∼50% 이상의 사료비가 추가로 소요되는 것으로 분석되었다. This study was carried out to investigate the effects of supplementing sweet potato silages on live performance and production cost in finishing gilts. Two sweet potato silages containing same ingredients with different ratios(silages 1 and 2; 70 and 70% sweet potato, 20 and 30% barley bran, 10 and 0% soybean meal, respectively) were fermented for 21 days in 500 kg-capacity silos. Finishing gilts were fed a commercial finishing diet(CONT), or the same basal diet plus 0.4kg silage 1(TRT 1) or silage 2(TRT 2)/head/day beginning from either 75kg or 90kg of body weight up to approximately 110kg of final weight and the whole experiment was repeated 3 times. 1. TRT 1 and TRT 2 were lesser than CONT in final weight, total weight gain, average daily gain, feed efficiency and total and daily basal diet intake, but not in total dry matter intake including the silage. 2. Compared with CONT, TRT 1 and TRT 2 showed a reduced basal diet cost resulting from the reduced intake of it, but total feed cost was not different between the feeding regimens. Total feed cost per kg weight gain, however, was increased 40∼50% by supplementing the silage.

        Eddy current signals from flaws with tip variation in steam generator tubes were analyzed. Using finite element models, abundant flaw signals from two dimensional axisymmetric flaws will tip variation were generated. Features of ECT signal were defined and extracted, and sensitive features for flaw classification and sifting were selected. Two neural networks were employed for flaw characterization and sizing. The intercept vector was introduced as a new feature, and its usefulness was discussed.
