천황봉에서 발원하여 산간 계류를 형성하고 흐르다가 유성천과 합류해 금강으로 유입되는 계룡산 동학사 계곡의 수선곤충 군집을 조사한 결과 총 5목 17과 37종이 출현하였다. 이중에서는 하루살이류가 6과 14종으로 가장 많이 출현하였으며, 현존량은 파리류가 전체 1,165개체중 569개체(48.84%)로 가장 높게 나타났다. 전체 우점종은 꼬마하루살이와 깔다구류로 0.15의 우점도지수를 기록하였다. 종다양도는 제 4지점인 남매탑 계류의 합류점이 0.93으로 가장 높았고, 제 1지점인 은선산장 위 부근이 0.09로 낮게 나타났다. 각 지점별 오수생물계열은 초강부수성-강부수성으로 매우 낮게 조사되었다. Aquatic insect communities were investigated in a mountain streams of YIt. Iiyeryong1 one of the central areas of Korea, from March to September, 2002. As a result, 37 species of aquatic insects in 17 families and in 6 orders appeared during the study period, the order Ephemeroptera and Diptera of which were the most appeared. Ephemeroptera was consisted of 14 species of 6 families, and Diptera was consisted of 589 individuals(48.84%j of total individual nun-her. Dominant species was Baetis ther-micus and the subdominant species was Chironmidae sp.. Dominant species index of Baetis thermicils and Chironmidae sp. was O.15 The highest species diversity index was observed of site 4 as 0.93 and the lowest species diversity index was observed of site 1 as 0.09. Dominance indices ranged between 0.15 and 1.00 while diversity indices between 0.09 and 0.93. In relation to species diversity indices, Mt. Iiyeryong streams were determined as Isosaprobity-Polysaprobity area. In general, it is inferred from the aquatic insect community that typical mountain streams of Korea are low.
다발성 뇌경색이 합병된 Pasteurella multocida 심내막염 1예

저자들은 평소 건강하였던 환자에서 동물과의 접촉없이 P.multocida에 의한 세균성 심내막염이 발생하여 임상 경과 중 다발성 뇌경색이 합병되었으나, 항균제 투여만으로 완치가 되었던 증례를 경험하였기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 이를 보고하는 바이다. In recent years, an increasing number of infections with Pasteurella multoida in human have been reported, causing a wide range of systemic illness. Infective endocarditis with P.multocida, however, is still quite rare. Recently we experienced a cases of P. multocida endocarditis in a 26-year old man who was admitted because of fever and headache. He denied any recent contact with animals. P. multocida was identified from blood cultures and echocardiography showed mitral regurgitation and vegetations on mitral valve area. He became stuporous on the fourth hospital day and the brain MRI showed acute cerebral infarction. He was treated with penicillin intravenously for six weeks, which successfully controlled clinical features of infections. To our knowledge, this is the first case of P. multocida endocarditis complicated with cerebral infarction in Korea.

Studied in this paper is how multiple quantum coherence develops in the anisotropic distribution of dipolar couplings. The magnitude of dipolar couplings was varied with oriented angles. The larger dipolar coupling was, the bigger frequency of multiple quantum coherence was. The multiple quantum coherence is decided with proportion of the magnitude of dipolar couplings. The theory equation for multiple quantum coherence and the magic angle 54.7˚in the solid NMR spectroscopy was verified in our research. The excitation pattern of n-Quantum coherence, which can induce the effective size to characterize spin system, is expected in larger and more complicated spin system for understanding the relation of dipolar coupling and multiple quantum coherence.
다제 내성 폐렴구균에 대한 항균제 병합시의 시험관내 항균효과

목적: 페니실린 및 다제 내성 폐렴구균은 선택할 수 있는 치료제가 제한되어 임상적으로 문제가 되고 있다. 특히 다제 내성 균주에 의한 수막염의 치료에 cephalosporin제 단독요법의 치료 실패가 계속 보고 되면서, 기존 항균제의 병용요법이나 새로 개발되는 항균제에 관심이 모아지고 있다. 특히 국내에서 분리되는 폐렴구균의 페니실린 및 다제 내성율은 이미 세계 최고 수준으로 이러한 치료법의 개발이 더욱 필요한 상황이다. 저자들은 다제 내성 폐렴구균 감염증의 새로운 치료법을 찾고자 국내에서 흔히 사용되는 항균제를 대상으로 time-kill 방법을 이용한 시험관내 synergy 여부를 알아보고자 하였다. 방법 :대상균주는 국내에서 분리된 페니실린 감수성인 2균주와 모든 β-lactam 제제에 동시 내성을 보인 다제 내성 5균주이었다. 대상 병용요법은 penicillin+gentamicin, cefotaxime+gentamicin, vancomycin+gentamicin, vancomycin+cefotaxime, vancomycin+imipenem, ampicillin+cefotaxime 등이었다. 각 항균제의 시험 농도는 1/2 MIC로 하였으며, 균 집락수의 측정은 0,4,8,24시간에 시행하였다. 결과:Penicillin+gentamicin, cefotaxime+gentamicin, vancomycin+cefotaxime 등의 병합요법이 시험관내 synergy를 보였으며, vancomycin+gentamicin, vancomycin+imipenem, ampicillin+cefotaxime 등의 병용은 indifference의 결과를 보였다. 결론 본 연구를 통하여 penicillin+gentamicin, cefotaxime+gentamicin, vancomycin+cefotaxime 등의 병용요법이 다제 내성 균주에 대하여 시험관내 synergy를 보임으로써 새로운 치료요법의 대상이 될 수 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 이는 향후 생체 내에서의 약물 상호작용에 대한 동물실험시 응용될 수 있는 기본 자료로 의미가 있을 것으로 생각된다. Background: Penicillin-and multidrug-resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae became a global problem during recent decades. Multidrug resistance poses a serious threat to clinical medicine due to restriction of selecting appropriate antimicrobial agents to treat with. Current data suggest that any single antimicrobial agent cannot be a satisfactory option to treat pniemococcal infections caused by multidrug-resistant strains, particularly in meningitis. The aim of the study was to assess in vitro efficacy of several antimicrobial combinations which are commonly used in clinical practice, and to obtain reasonable regimens which can be applied to in vivo model. Methods: We performed time-kill studies of antimicrobial combinations including penicillin, cefotaxime, vancomycin, gentamicin, imipenem and ampicillin against five multidrug-resistant strains and two penicillin-susceptible strains. Penicillin, cefotaxime and vancomycin were combined with gentamicin, respectively. Cefotaxime plus vancomycin, imipenem plus vancomycin, and cefotaxime plus ampicillin combinations were also tested. Synergy was defined as a ≥100-fold or 2-log decrease in colony count at 24 h by the combination compared with that by the most active single agent. Result: Penicillin puls gentamicin, cefotaxime plus gentamicin, and vancomycin plus cefotaxime combinations were deminstrated to have in vitro synergistic activities against multidrug-resistant strains. Conclusion: Three combinations showed in vitro synergism against penicillin-resistant pneumococci. Experimental animal study is warranted to determine the clinical relevance of the in vitro results.
국내에서 분리된 Vancomycin 내성 장구균에 대한 분자역학적 연구

목 적 : 장구균은 병원 감염의 원인균으로서 최근 그 빈도와 중요성이 증가하고 있다. 특히 vancomycin에 내성을 보이는 장구균(VRE)은 효과적인 치료약제가 드물고, 그 내성 유전자가 vancomycin에 감수성을 보이는 다른 장구균이나 그람양성 구균에 전달될 수 있어 임상적인 중요도가 더욱 크다. 본 연구에서는 국내 5개 병원에서 분리된 VRE 균주의 표현형과 유전형을 결정하고, 분자역학적 방법을 이용하여 유전적 연관성 여부를 밝히고자 하였다. 방 법 : 각 병원에서 수집된 균주는 환자의 임상 검체에서 또는 VRE 집락화에 대한 선별검사에서 분리된 균주였다. 이들을 대상으로 vancomycin과 teicoplanin의 MIC를 측정하여 표현형을 결정하였으며, PCR로 vancomycin 내성 유전자를 증폭하여 유전형을 결정하였다. 또한 이들중 vanA와 vanB 유전자를 갖는 균주들을 대상으로 플라스미드 분석과 PFGE를 시행하였다. 결 과 : VRE로 최종 동정된 균주들은 42균주(E. faecium 21주, E. faecalis 6주, E. avium 2주, E. casseliflavus 13주)였으며, 항균제 감수성 양상으로 결정한 표현형은 VanA, VanB, VanC형이 각각 14주(33%), 7주(17%), 21주(50%)였다. PCR로 결정한 유전형은 vanA 12주(E. faecium), vanC 16주 였으며, 이중 VanA의 표현형을 보인 E. faecium 2주가 VanB의 유전형으로 판명된 것을 제외하면 표현형과 유전형은 모두 일치하였다. 플라스미드 분석과 PFGE 결과, 병원내 동일 균주의 전파 가능성이 5개 병원중 3병원에서 증명되었다. 결 론 : 국내 병원에서도 vancomycin 내성 유전자를 갖는 VRE가 다수 분리되고 있음을 확인할 수 있었으며, 연구 결과 일부 병원에서 내성균주의 병원내 전파 가능성을 시사하였다. 아직까지 국내에서 VRE로 인한 감여보고는 적지만 곧 임상적으로 문제가 될 것으로 판단되며, 따러서 내성균의 발생이나 확산을 억제하기 위한 노력과 감시가 필요할 것으로 생각된다. Background : Enterococci have emerged in recent years as a frequent cause of life-threatening nosocomial infections. The emergence of vancomycin-resistant enterococci(VRE) presents as an increasingly important problem particularly in the treatment and the potential dissemination of vancomycin-resistance. The purpose of this study is to determine the phenotypes and genotypes of VRE isolated from five hospitals and to study the genetic relatedness among them. Methods : Antimicrobial susceptibility patterns and amplification of vancomycin resistance genes were used for phenotyping and genotyping of 42 VRE isolates respectively. For 21 isolates with vanA or vanB gene, plasmid profiles and pulsed field gel electrophoresis(PFGE) patterns were analyzed for molecular epidemiologic study. Results : Out of 42 isolates, 21 were identified as E. faecium, 6 as E. faecalis, 2 as E. avium, and 13 as E. casseliflavus. Phenotyping showed 14 isolates as VanA(33%), 7 as VanB(17%) and 21 as VanC(50%). Genotyping resulted in 12 isolates as VanV(5 of E. faecalis and 7 of e. faecium) and 9 as VanB(all E. faecium). Genotyping results were concordant with phenotyping results except for the two E. faecium isolates of VanA which had VanB genotype. Intrahospital spread of the same strains was proven in three hospitals by plasmid profiles and PFGE analysis. Conclusion : The study demonstrated a considerable number of VRE isolates in Korea and intrahospital spread proven by molecular epidemiologic methods. Although VRE infection has been considered very are in Korea, practical guidelines including restriction of vancomycin usage and surveillance, are warranted to prevent infection and dissemination of VRE.

The purpose of this paper is to develope a distance education that would be a courseware for a specific object, which can be available for student to learn the necessary knowledge or function, with no restriction of time or place, using WWW and Oracle DBMS. The distance education was designed in this paper consists of bulletin board, subject information, lecturing schedule, online instructions, questions and answers, submit and confirmation of reports, evaluation of lecturing, reference sites, chatting and discussion room, and data bank. The distance education coupled by WWW and database will change the educational form from one-direction to bi-direction between a teacher and the students. This can also provide a multimedia information to the students through WWW environment with convenient user interface. Those benefits made it possible to offer animated audio-visual materials and search for the information concerned through a hypertext technique. Besides, various kinds of informations were stored at database to increase an effectiveness in managing data. Since both teacher and students, are easy to add new information using the process of instruction to the database, the amount of the stored information in the distance education can be expanded effectively.
치수유래 구심성 신경섬유의 삼차신경 감각핵군에서의 연접특성

일차연접부위에서 악안면 영역에서 유래하는 유해자극의 전달 및 처리기전을 이해하고자 horseradish pe개xidase를 치수지배 구심성 신경섬유를 표식한 후 연수후각에서 미세구조 및 연절 양상을 분석하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 표식종말은 소수의 큰 치밀소포가 관찰되는 종말 (S형) 및 다수의 치밀소포를 함유하는 종말 (LDCV형)등 2종류로 분류할 수 있었다. S형 및 LDCV형 표식종말의 연접양식은 유사하였으며, 다수의 표식종말이 1개 혹은 2개의 neurofile과 연접을 이루어 대단히 단순한 연접양상을 보였다. 표식종말은 가지돌기체 보다는 다수의 가지돌기가시와 연접을 이루는 빈도가 높았다. 표식종말이 세포체 및 이에 인접한 근심부 가지돌기와 연접하는 경우는 드물었으며, 소수의 표식종말에서 p-ending과 연접하는 경우를 보였다. 표식종말의 체적, 표면적, 사립체의 체적, neurofile과 접하는 면적, 활성부위의 면적, 단위표식종말당 연접소포의 수 및 연접소포의 밀도등은 넓은 범위의 계측치를 나타내었으며, 이는 5명 및 LDCV형 표식종말 사이에 유의한 차이가 없었다. 이상의 결과로 미루어보아 연수후각에서 치수유래 구심성 신경섬유 종말의 연접양식은 고유의 특징을 보이며 이는 신경회로의 기능과 밀접한 상관관계를 가지는 것으로 판단되었다. Little is known about processing mechanism of pain sensation of the oral cavity at the 1st synapse of trigeminal sensory nuclei. Serial ultrathin sections of tooth pulp afferent terminals, identified by the transganglionic transport of 1% wheatgerm agglutinin conjugated horseradish peroxidase, were investigated wih electron microscope. Quantitative ultrastructural analysis was performed on digitizing tablet connected to Macintoshi personal computer (software: NIH Image 1.60, NIH, Bethesda, MD). Labeled boutons could be classified into two types by the shapes of containing vesicles : S bouton which contained mainly spherical vesicles (Dia. 45-55 nm) and few large dense cored vesicles (Dia. 80-120nm), and LDCV bouton, which contained spherical vesicles as well as large number of large dense coredd vesicles. Most of the parameters on the ultrastruotural characteristic and synaptic organization of labeled boutons were similar between S and LDCV boutons, except shapes of containing vesicles. Majority of the labeled boutons showed simple synaptic arrangement. The labeled bouton were frequency presynaptic to dendritic spine, and to a lesser extent, dendritic shaft. They rarely synapsed with soma and adjacent proximal dendrite. A small proportion of labeled boutons made synaptic contacts with presynaptic pleomorphic vesicless containing endings and synaptic triad. Morphometric parameters of labeled boutons including volume and surface area, total apposed area, mitochondrial volume, active zone area, vesicle number and density showed wide variation and theme were not significantly different between S and LDCV boutons. The present study revealed characteristic features on ultrastructure and synaptic connection of pulpal afferents which may involved in transmission of oral pain sensation.
VDT작업별 정신사회적 스트레스와 근골격계 장애에 관한 연구

It has been hypothesized that jobs that have both high psychological demands and low decision latitude("job strain") can lead to musculoskeletal disorder. The objective of this study was to test whether job strain was correlated with the presence of work-related musculoskeletal disorder, especially myofascial pain syndrome(MPS). Information on demographic factors, confounders such as household load and taking care of children or not, and scores for decision latitude, job demand, and social support was obtained by self-administered questionnaire, which had been developed in Korean language, by adopting NIOSH instrument and Extended Karasek Model(16 items). All subjects were also examined by rehabilitation medicine specialists for musculoskeletal disorders. Subjects(n=370) could be categorized into 4 groups, these were, housewives(n=89), shipyard CAD workers(n=89), general female workers(n=79; nurses, insurance counselors, public officials, clerks, etc), and telephone directory assistance operators(n=113). Results from univariate analyses indicated that all demographic factors, all confounders, scores for decision latitude and social support were not associated with the risk of musculoskeletal disorder. However, score for job demand was higher in musculoskeletal disorder cases than others. In subgroup analysis, this association was convinced again, in telephone directory assistance operators. Job strain model showed that the group of telephone directory assistance operators was high-stain group, and OR of musculo skeletal disorder was 2.446(95% C. I. : 1.174, 5.096), when comparing this with the low strain group. In conclusion, job strain is a risk factor for work-related musculoskeletal disorder.
함불소 공정부산물을 활용한 규불화염계 구체방수재의 공학적 특성에 관한 연구

This study wishes to apply when added Metal Silicofluoride waterproofing admixture to concrete, grasp engineering special quality and confirms the optimum recruitment stock. Through various experiments, got following conclusion. Did not give big Influence in slump in result in fresh concrete. Displayed High result most in compressive strength wave and 1.5% in hardened concrete. High permeability resistivity at waterproofing admixture addition was seen in permeability test. SEM observation wave and synergistic effect of compressive strength and reason of pitcher reduction performance. When see all these sequences, optimum recruitment stock estimates that 1.5% is the most suitable mixing amount.
