        Recently, as the Smart Phone is rapidly disseminated worldwide, it is emerging as an important digital communication media changing the communication types of users. We use the Smart Phone in all aspect of daily life besides communication. The Smart Phone is indispensible tool that has a great ripple effect on our daily life. Therefore, if the Smart Phone users lose or do not bring their phones, they were troubled. In this paper, we make users available to use the Smart Phone, even if they lose or do not bring their phones. To do this end, we develop features that search the phone in case of not knowing where it is, that contact another phone in case of not bringing their phone, that lock the phone in case of losing it. We expect these features promote a expansion and a vitality of the Smart Phone market.

      • 국소성 분절성 사구체 경화증의 완전 관해 후 발병한 IgA 신병증 1예

        We report a rare case of primary glomerular disease with IgA nephropathy in a 43-year old man. 7-years ago, he was diagnosed with minimal change nephrotic syndrome. After treatment with steroid for 1-year, azotemia and proteinuria were improved. But, nephrotic range proteinuria was relapsed within 1 week after cessation of steroid. Renal biopsy revealed focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, and achived a complete remission with the use of steroids and cyclophosphamide. Then, he was followed up with normal renal function for 4-years. On admission, the patient showed generalized edema and marked proteinuria. In 3rd renal biopsy, mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis with diffuse global sclerosis was observed. Electron microscopy showed electron-dense deposit on the mesangium with slight mesangial proliferation, and immunofluoroscence microscopy showed granular deposits of IgA and IgM. These features were consistent with IgA nephropathy, different from results of previous biopsies. The pathogenesis of IgA nephropathy occurred with primary FSGS is not clear, as well as treatment. Now, proteinuria is improving, steroid and cyclophosphamide are probably useful for the disease.

        반응표면분석에 의한 노랑느타리버섯 추출물의 추출조건 최적화

        노랑느타리버섯의 항산화 활성을 측정하여 효율적 추출조건을 예측하기 위해 마이크로웨이브 에너지, 에탄올 농도, 추출시간의 요인변수를 중심합성법에 따라 설정하여 반응표면분석을 통해 최적화 조건을 설정하였다. 노랑느타리버섯 추출물의 수율, 전자공여작용, SOD 유사 활성, 총 폴리페놀 함량에 대한 반응표면의 회귀식 R² 값이 각각 0.91, 0.87, 0.86 및 0.87로 분석되었고, 수율은 P<0.01, 항산화 활성이 P<0.05에서 유의적 수준을 나타냈다. 노랑느타리버섯은 요인변수에 따라 수율, 전자공여작용, 총 폴리페놀 함량의 경우 마이크로웨이브 에너지의 영향을 가장 많이 받았고, SOD유사 활성의 경우 에탄올 농도에 따른 유의적 차이를 보였다. 추출물의 각 특성을 모두 만족시키는 최적의 추출조건의 범위는 superimposing 하여 마이크로웨이브 에너지 71.48~92.84 watts, 에탄올 농도 55.01~71.66%, 추출시간 3~9분으로 예측되었다. Response surface methodology (RSM) was used to optimize extraction conditions of Pleurotus cornocopiae. Coefficients of determination (R²) for dependent variables ranged from 0.86 at 0.91. Maximum extraction yield was 40.81% under the following conditions: microwave power of 60.08 watts, ethanolic concentration of 12.33%, and extraction time of 6.86 min. Maximum extraction electron donating ability was 35.72% at 44.13 watts, 19.30%, and 4.21 min. Maximum extraction superoxide dismutase (SOD)-like activity was 34.87% at 114.01 watts, 65.88%, and 1.56 min. Maximum extraction total polyphenol content was 31.77 mg/g at 50.52 watts, 23.00% and 2.90 min. Based on the superimposition of four dimensional RSM with respect to extraction yield, electron donating ability, SOD-like activity, and total polyphenol content obtained under various extraction conditions, the optimum ranges of extraction conditions were as follows: microwave power of 71.48~92.84 watts, ethanol concentration of 55.01~71.66%, and extraction time of 3~9 min.

      • Lime-Fly Ash/Rice Husk Ash에 의한 해성 퇴적토의 강도특성 개선

        본 연구에서는 울산광역시 남구 삼산동 일원의 지표 하 7m 지점에서 채취한 시료에 대하여 생석회 처리 후 FA(fly ash)와 RHA(rice husk ash)를 혼합하여 강도특성을 분석하였다. 연구방법으로는 채취한 시료와 혼합토에 대하여 기본물성시험과 일축압축강도 시험 및 C.B.R 시험을 실시하였다. 그리고 첨가재의 혼합에 따른 입자구조를 분석하기 위하여 주사전자현미경(SEM)을 이용하여 비교 · 검토하였으며, 첨가재의 화학적 구성성분을 X-선 형광분석(XRF)을 통하여 조사하였다. 화학성분 분석결과, FA의 주 구성성분은 Al2O3, Fe2O3가 약 50%, RHA의 경우는 SiO2가 약 91%를 차지하는 것으로 나타났다. 일축압축강도 시험결과, FA와 RHA가 각각 10% 첨가시 가장 큰 강도를 나타내었으며, 10% 이상 첨가시 강도가 저하되는 경향을 나타내었다. FA와 RHA가 각각 10% 첨가된 시료에 대한 C.B.R 시험결과에서 전자의 경우 118%, 후자의 경우 100%를 나타내었으며, 소성지수(PI)가 각각 9.4%, 9.1%값을 나타내어 소성지수 저감 후 보조기층, 기층재로써 사용이 가능할것으로 판단되었다. In this paper, a laboratory investigation was carried out to estimate the strength improvement of quicklime mixture with fly ash and rice husk ash for the effective use of surplus soils, and the shear strength with curing time was estimated at lime 10 percent with the change of fly ash and rice husk ash content. The effect of strength improvement has been established through the change of fly ash and rice husk ash content from the samples taken at Samsan region, Ulsan. The change in the microstructure of materials was investigated by using the scanning electron microscope(SEM). The chemical composition of materials was investigated by using the X-ray fluorescence spectrometer(XRF). The result of XRF analysis indicate that Al2O3 and Fe2O3 contents of fly ash is about 50%, SiO2 content of RHA is about 91%. The results of another tests indicated that the presence of lime with fly ash and rice husk ash encouraged the stabilization efficiency of lime with fly ash and rice husk ash, and increased shear strength. Furthermore, it is necessary for inquiring into the relationship between the characteristics of strength and the chemical components.       • HMG-CoA 환원효소 억제제에 의한 ICAM-1 유전자의 발현조절

        Background : ICAM-1 act as one of major adhesion molecules in the atherosclerotic lesion. ICAM-1 expression is mainly regulated at the level of transcription and depend on IFN-γ signal transduction pathway in which the STAT1 transcrption factor is a critical intermediate. IFN-γreceptor not only initiates tyrosine 701 phosphorylation of STAT1 by Jak1 and Jak2, but also phosphorylates serine 727 through the activation of Raf-1/MAP kinases. HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors have anti-atherosclertic effects, beyond normalization of hypercholesterolemia, by directly acting on endothelial cells, macrophages and vascular smooth muscle cells. HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors suppress the synthesis of isoprenoid intermediates such as geranylgeranyl-pyrophosphate or farnesylpyrophosphate. These effects results inhibitors suppress the synthesis of isoprenoid intermediates such as geranylgeranyl-pyrophosphate or farnesylpyrophosphate. These effects results inhibition posttranslational farnesylation and geranyl-geranylation processing of small GTP-binding preoteins and inhibition of normal signaling activities. Method : We made several 5'-deletion constructs of rat ICAM-1 promoter and analyzed the promoter activities by measuring the luciferase activity after transfection into ECV304 cells and smooth muscle cells. We checked the level of total and phosphorylated STAT1 protein by immunoblot analysis using specific antibodies. Results : Lovastatin inhibits IFN-γ-induced ICAM-1 gene expression in the ECV304cell. The cells pretreated with PD98059, MEKK inhibitor showed significantly low ICAM-1 RNA induction with IFN-γ stimulatio. IFN-γ induced phosphorylation of tyrosine 701 was not significantly changed by the pretreatment of lovastatin. But lovastatin suppresses IFN-γ-induced phosphorylation of ERK1/ERK2 which are responsible for the seine 727 phosphorylation in STAT1. Conclusion : We showed that HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors, lovastatin, suppresses IFN-γ mediated ICAM-1 gene expression through the inhibition of transcription. HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor suppresses IFN-γ-induced phosphorylation of serine 727 in STAT1 through the modulation of MAP kinases.

      • ABAQUS를 이용한 휨벽체의 비선형 유한요소 해석기법

        The finite element method(FEM) models were developed for the reinforced concrete flexural walls and analysed under constant axial and monotonic lateral load using ABAQUS. The major objective of the present study is to determine if the ABAQUS finite element program can be used to accurately model the post-cracked mode of failure in plastic regions of walls, and, if so, to develop practical failure criteria in the plastic range of the material response. The research comprises constitutive models to represent behavior of the materials that compose a wall on the basis of experimental data, development of techniques that are appropriate for analysis of reinforced concrete structures, verification, and calibration of the global model for reinforced concrete walls of increasing complexity. The proposed FEA technique is verified by Lefas's benchmark data. Results from the analyses of these FEM models offers significant insight into the flexural behavior of benchmark data.

      • 뇌졸중 후 중추성 통증 환자에 대한 동서협진이 진통과 재활에 미치는 영향

        Purpose : In order to study the effectiveness of East-West pain treatment on central poststroke pain(CPSP), we evaluated its effect on alleviation of pain and rehabilitation of CPSP Patients who were treated with electroacupuncture and west pain treatment for four weeks. Methods : Twenty four patients diagnosed by their pain characteristics of central pain from stroke were treated with sympathetic nerve block, gabapentin, amitriptyline, and electroacupuncture for four weeks. Pain intensity through the visual analogue scale(VAS), and improvements of mobility and rehabilitation through the modified Barthel index(MBI) and Rankin scale(RS), respectively, before and after pain treatment were also assessed. Results : VAS pain scores were significantly improved from 7.7±1.7 to 4.4±2.0 with pain treatment(p<0.05). In accordance with improvement of pain scores, RS and MBI scores were also improved from 2.88±0.95 to 2.13± 1.01 and from 83.0± 16.9 to 94.7±9.5(p<0.05), respectively, with pain treatment(p<0.05). Conclusions : It was suggested that the active pain treatment was contributed to the rehabilitation of CPSP patients, resulting in improvement of quality of life of CPSP patients. Futhermore, East pain treatment in combination with West pain treatment may be useful modality to alleviate CPSP.

      • 브라질 재생타이어 수입 제한조치 사건에 대한 법경제학적 분석

        이 논문에서는 브라질-재생타이어 사건 상소기구의 분석에 대해 법경제학적인 분석을 하였다. 우리는 이 사건에 적절한 시장구조와 환경의 외부성을 분석하기 위해 간단한 경제학 모델을 활용했다. 폐타이어의 사용은 인간의 건강과 환경에 해롭기에 오래된 타이어가 오염원이 되기 전에 공급을 지연하는 등의 방법으로 처리하도록 하여 긍정적인 생산의 외부성을 발생시키도록 하는 브라질의 정책을 연구하였다. 우리는 한번 사용한 브라질타이어의 재생에 생산보조금을 둔 경우, 재생타이어 수입에 관세를 부과한 경우, 재생타이어 수입을 금지한 경우의 각기 다른 후생 변화의 의미를 검토하였다. 외부성을 고려한다면 생산보조금이 가장 좋은 방안이 될 수 있으나 실행이 불가능한 이유들이 있다. 다른 조치들의 후생적 의미도 긍정적인 생산의 외부성과 연관성이 크다. 이러한 경제 분석을 통해 우리는 세 가지 주요한 통찰을 얻을 수 있다. 첫째, 패널과 상소기구는 이 사례에서 브라질의 타이어 재생과 관련된 외부성의 규모에 대한 더 많은 실증적인 정보들을 얻을 수 있다. 다음으로 브라질의 차선적인 정책을 논의하자면 브라질의 폐타이어 수입금지는 브라질 재생타이어의 균형 잡힌 생산을 통해 얻을 수 있는 잠재된 후생을 감소시킬 수 있기 때문에 실패로 볼 수 있다. 마지막으로 중남미 공동시장(MERCOSUR)으로부터의 재생타이어 수입 금지를 면제시키는 것 역시 문제가 있다. 두 번째와 세 번째의 통찰은 브라질의 정책이 GATT 제20조의 모두에 의해서 정당화될 수 없다는 상소기구의 판단과 일치한다. 우리는 대부분의 경제학자들이 많이 활용하듯이 대안적 정책을 가정하고 이를 통한 총후생의 변화를 측정하는 방식으로 여러 가지 방법론들을 비교하기 위해 GATT 제20조 (b)와 연관된 판단도 검토했다. 우리는 이 사안에서 WTO의 판단이 내부적으로 일관성이 없고 경제학적 후생분석이 평가하려는 것들을 측정하는 데에도 실패했음을 알 수 있다. This paper provides a legal-economic analysis of the Appellate Body decision in Brazil–Retreaded Tyres. We develop a simple economic model that we use to analyze the market structure and environmental externalities that were most relevant to this case. We start by analyzing Brazil’s policies in a model in which tyre retreading generates a positive production externality through the delay it provides society before a used tyre becomes a waste product with the potential to harm society through its adverse impact on human health and the environment. We examine the different welfare implications of (i) a production subsidy for retreading of once-used Brazilian tyres, (ii) a tariff on imports of retreaded tyres, and (iii) a ban on imports of retreaded tyres. While a production subsidy is the first-best instrument to address this type of externality, there re reasons to believe that it might be infeasible. The welfare implications of the other measures depend importantly on the magnitude of the positive production externality. From the lens provided by this economic analysis, we draw three primary insights. First, we identify the critical piece of empirical information that the Panel and Appellate Body require to make a rational judgment of the utility of the Brazilian policies contested in the dispute – i.e., the size of the underlying externality associated with retreading. Second, if the justification for the original import ban on retreaded tyres was based on the argument that it was a second-best Brazilian policy designed to combat a large externality, then Brazil’s failure to enforce a ban on used-tyre imports has the troubling result of eroding those potential welfare gains through a reduction in equilibrium production (and consumption) of Brazilian retreaded tyres. Third, the Brazilian policy which exempted from the ban retreaded imports from MERCOSUR partners also has the same troubling feature. The second and third points are congruent with the reasons for the Appellate Body’s determination that the Brazilian policy did not qualify under the chapeau of Article XX. We examine the WTO jurisprudence of Article XX(b), in order to compare the methodology developed under this jurisprudence to the type of examination of changes to total welfare from implementing one policy relative to a postulated alternative policy that most economists would follow. We find that the WTO jurisprudence in this area is internally incoherent, and also fails to evaluate the types of concerns that an economic welfare analysis would evaluate.

        3,4'-dihydroxypropiophenone, a phenylpropanoid, purified from Betula platyphylla var. latifolia was evaluated on the antitumor activity. In vitro, the cytoxicity was determined by 0.4% trypan blue dye exclusion method. And the most sensitivity cell line was L5178Y(ED_50=0.96ug/ml). The ED_50 of 3, 4'-dihydroxypropiophenone against sarcoma-180, L-1210 were 8.77 and 2.69ug/ml respectively. As a result, 3, 4'-dihydroxypropiophenone was considered to show the antitumor activity.

        철근콘크리트 장방형 전단벽의 비선형 유한요소 해석

        The major objective of the present study is to conduct parametric study and to propose a finite element analysis(FEA) technique of the reinforced concrete rectangular shear walls using ABAQUS under constant axial and monotonic lateral load. A FEA of the reinforced concrete walls are different to aspect ratio and a detailed finite element models are created to study the post-cracked mode of failure in plastic region of the walls. The proposed models account for the effect of material inelasticity, concrete cracking, and geometric nonlinearity. The prossed FEA model is verified by Lefas's benchmark data and validated through comparisons with experiment result of reinforced concrete shear walls. Finally, the study considered various parameters and compared with ACI 318-02 to confirm accuracy of this study: aspect ratio, axial force ratio, vertical and horizontal reinforcement ratio.
