Wide-fan-angle Flat-top Linear Laser Beam Generated by Long-pitch Diffraction Gratings

We demonstrated a wide-fan-angle flat-top irradiance pattern with a very narrow linewidth by using an aspheric lens and a long-pitch reflective diffraction grating. First, we numerically designed a diffraction-based linear beam homogenizer. The structure of the Al diffraction grating with an isosceles triangular shape was optimized with 0.1-mm pitch, 35.5° slope angle, and 0.02-mm radius of the rounding top. According to the numerical results, the linear uniformity of the irradiance was more sensitive to the working distance than to the shape of the Al grating. The designed Al grating reflector was fabricated by using a conventional mold injection and an Al coating process. A uniform linear irradiance of 405-nm laser diode with a 100-mm flat-top length and 0.176-mm linewidth was experimentally demonstrated at 140-mm working distance. We believe that our proposed linear beam homogenizer can be used in various potential applications at a precise inspection system such as three-dimensional morphology scanner with line lasers.

Most peptic ulcers respond to treatment with conventional therapy including antimicrobial and antisecretory agents. However, in some individuals, the ulcer recurs following successful initial treatment, which means the refractory ulcer. We report a case with a gastric ulcer at antrum, which had been treated with conventional regimen. After conventional treatment, we confirmed that the ulcer was improving through the endoscopy. However, after a short time, he came back to emergency room with acute ill-look appearance. He was pale and anemic status. Emergency endoscopy was performed and we found that the gastric ulcer had a gastroduodenal fistula without peritonitis.

This study was conducted to find out effects of shading degree on florescense and marketability in azaleas. Shading culture was not increased in No. of shoot and No. of flower bud but was increased in % of flower bud formation. First flowering date did not accelerate in early flowering variety, `inga' but accelerated about a month in middle flowering variety, `Mission bell'. The shading culture was higher observed on th ratio of florescense than the non-shading culture. All varieties were increased in chlorophyll content and were observed on the good color of leaf under the shading culture. On the other hand, the color of leaf under the non-shading culture was discolored and lost marketability. In order to increasing marketability, azaleas were cultivated in the shading culture during the summer.
광산배수 내 철에 의한 하천 황화현상을 촉진하는 환경조건 연구

Though Fe concentration in mine drainage and treated water is lower than Korean water quality criteria (2 mg/L), the yellowboy mainly composed of Fe precipitates often occurs in lower streams. In this study, the effects of pH, temperature, dissolved major cations, stream bed materials, and Fe oxidizing bacteria on yellowboy formation were investigated. Experiments on Fe precipitation with low concentrations of Fe and washing of precipitated Fe were also conducted. Yellowboy production was accelerated under the conditions with high pH, high temperature, Ca 2+ as a dominant major ion, and the presence of stream bed materials and Fe oxidizing bacteria. Even low concentration of Fe (1 mg/L) led to formation of yellowboy. In addition, it was found that, once Fe precipitates formed by abrupt operational accidents of passive treatment systems, they might not readily be detached from stream bed. 국내 광산배수 내 철 배출허용기준(2 mg/L)을 만족하는 경우에도 수계 하류에서는 철 침전물로 구성된yellowboy가 나타난다. 이 연구에서는 철 침전물 형성에 미치는 pH, 온도, 용존 주성분 양이온, 하상물질, 철산화균의 영향을 연구하였다. 저농도 철에 의한 철 침전 및 침전된 철의 탈착 실험도 수행하였다. 철 침전은 높은pH, 고온, Ca 2+이 우세한 조건, 하상퇴적물 및 철산화균의 존재 하에서 증진되었다. 저농도(1 mg/L) 철이 함유된경우에도 철 침전이 발생함을 관찰하였으며, 자연처리시설의 돌발적인 월수 등에 의하여 하상 퇴적물에 철 침전물이 발생하면 용이하게 제거되지 않는 것으로 판단된다.

These studies were carried out to investigate the chimeral characteristics of leaf variegation on wild Cymbidium virescens Lindl in Korea. The microscopic observation of mesophyll cell from variegated leaf in C. virescens indicated that the green cell contained chloroplast but white cell lacked chloroplast. Mixed tissues consisted of both green and white cells. The combination of these cells may from various variegated leaves in C. virescens. Periclinal chimeras of various variegated leaves in C. virescens could be classified into 27 types. GGG was come from normal leaf type. GWW and GWG could describe leaf type of large central pellucidity streak, and streak between marginal and central.MGG and MMM could describe leaf type of top mixed streak, and whole mixed streak. WGG and WWW could define leaf type of marginal streak, and whole pellucidity. It appeared that sectorial chimeras of variegated leaves in C. virescens could be due to one-side variegation of leaf, and mosaic chimeras of variegated leaves might classify into 3 forms, foggy mosaic, mosaic, and mosaic with dot and/or net.
溫度 및 生長調節劑 處理가 Dendrobium의 花芽形成과 開花에 미치는 影響

According to the effect of temperature on the visible flower bud formation and flowering, they were promoted as ADT decreased: none of four cultivars differentiated flower bud at higher temperature such as 25C and 30C ADT. At 20C, days to flower bud formation in Snowflake 'Red Star', Malones 'Fantasy' and Yukidaruma 'King' was quitely delayed wheres days to flower bud formation at 15C was a little bit more advanced than those at 20C and more advanced in Yukidaruma 'King' and Snowflake 'Red Star' than in Golden Blossom 'Kogane' and Malones 'Fantasy'. On the basis of these results, it was found that flower bud formation of Dendrobium was accomplished by low temperature(below 15C) and the flowering and ripening of stem after occurrence of flag leaf were accelerated by high temperature. In addition, flower bud formation and flowering were markedly stimulated by BA 200ppm application, showing the additive effect with low temperature.
