        수중 AWGN 채널에서의 파라메트릭 배열 통신 성능

        본 논문에서는 간략화된 차 주파수의 신호대잡음비을 이용하여 수중 AWGN 환경하에서 파라메트릭 배열 통신 시스템의 성능을 비트오류확률과 MIMO 채널용량 관점에서 분석한 결과를 제시한다. 분석을 위해 사용된 차주파수의 신호대잡음비는 전달손실, 잡음준위 그리고 비선형성이 고려된 차 주파수의 음원준위로 계산된다. 1차 주파수 210 kHz와 190 kHz, 차 주파수 20 kHz, 트랜스듀서 직경 0.1 m, 잡음준위 50 dB, 요구되는 비트오류 확률을 $10^{-4}$으로 가정할 때, 담수 환경과 해수 환경에서의 1차 주파수 통신 거리 대비 파라메트릭 배열의 통신거리 이득을 각각 59.11 km와 5 km를 얻었다. 또한, 10 bps/Hz의 채널용량 조건을 위해 SISO 및 ($2{\times}2$) MIMO 파라메트릭 배열을 사용할 경우, 담수에서는 38.84 km와 46.38 km 거리이득을 해수에서는 3.88 km 4.381 km의 거리이득을 얻었다. In this paper, we present performance analysis results of parametric array communication system in terms of theoretical BER and channel capacity of MIMO in underwater AWGN channel by using simplified SNR of difference frequency. The SNR of the difference frequency is calculated by using transmission loss, noise level, and source level of difference frequency in which nonlinear effect is considered. By assuming primary frequencies as 210 kHz and 190 kHz, difference frequency as 20 kHz, transducer diameter as 0.1 m, and noise level as 50 dB and the requested BER as $10^{-4}$, we obtain parametric array communication range gains over the communication system using primary frequency of 59.11 km in fresh water and 5 km in sea water, respectively. Also we obtain range gains of 38.84 km and 46.38 km in fresh water, and 3.88 km and 4.38 km in sea water when we use SISO and $2{\times}2$ MIMO parametric array communications for the channel capacity of 10 bps/Hz.

        Investigation and observation of the various coat colors in the Jindo dog

        Because some coat colors other than white and yellowish-brown are not accepted by the Jindo dog Standard, this study was conducted investigate population size for pertaining to the coat color of Jindo dogs except white and yellow-brown, the natural monument of korea during 2018. It was investigated, there were 130 black Jindo (four-eyed) dogs, 32 tiger-striped Jindo dogs, 24 black Jindo (all black) dogs , 19 grey (pepper-and-salt) Jindo dogs and 1 spotted Jindo dog in Jindo area. The coat colors Jindo dogs should not be limited to yellow and white in the breed standard, and Jindo dogs should be judged not by their coat color but by their noble characteristics. Such analyses of population size of coat colors Jindo dogs could be applied as important fundamental data for conservation and management of endangered coat colors in Jindo dogs.

        고지향 소나 시스템 통신 성능분석

        본 논문에서는 파라메트릭 배열 기반 소나 통신 성능을 분석하였다. 분석을 위하여 음향학적 설계요소를 고려한 최적의 차 주파수 발생조건을 구하고 비선형성이 고려된 소나 방정식을 이용하여 차 주파수의 SNR을 추정하였다. 추정된 차 주파수의 SNR을 이용하여 디지털 변조 방식에 따른 이론적인 비트오류확률과 MIMO 채널 용량을 모의실험 하였다. 1차 주파수의 평균 주파수를 560kHz, 차 주파수를 45kHz 그리고 방사 파워 28.05Watt를 가정할 때, 비트오류확률 $10^{-4}$ 이하의 통신 거리는 1차 주파수를 사용할 경우 0.9km이고 차 주파수는 4.25km로 3.35km의 거리 이득을 얻음을 확인하였다. 또한 요구되는 채널 용량 10bps/Hz를 가정할 때 1차 주파수의 구동거리는 0.83km인 반면 주파수의 경우 SISO 통신은 3.8km 그리고 $2{\times}2$ MIMO 통신은 3.98km 까지 전송 할 수 있음을 확인 하였다. In this paper, we present novel analysis results of sonar communication using parametric array. We consider transducer diameter, primary frequency, difference frequency and acoustic power as analysis parameters of communication performance. We calculate theoretical BER(Bit Error Rate) and channel capacity of MIMO(Multi Input and Multi Output) communication system. By considering practical parameters, we obtain optimum difference frequency generation condition. The obtained primary frequency is 560 kHz, difference frequency 45kHz and acoustic power is 28.05Watt. For BER of $10^{-4}$, the range gain of parametric array communication is 3.35km compared to primary frequency communication. For channel capacity of 10bps/Hz, the SISO and $2{\times}2$ MIMO communication range of parametric array communication are 3.8km and 3.98km respectively, while primary frequency communication range is 0.83km.

        Eliminating Exceptional Subject-Verb Agreement rules in English Quantificational structure

        This study is to establish the consistency of Subject-Verb agreement in quantifier phrase. Absence of consistency in English grammar is critical to the grammaticality. We focused on the grammar part, specifically, S-V agreement rule in quantifier phrase. We believe the existence of exceptional rules in quantifier S-V structure is not necessary as the basic grammar rule on S-V agreement is sufficient enough and adding exceptional rules just make it more difficult and confusing. We argue specific features indwelt in each quantifier are linked when quantifiers are used pronominally and the ${\pm}$feature plays an important role in quantifier S-V agreement structure. This study shows the solution to eliminate the ungrammaticality in typical English text books by simplifying quantifier S-V agreement to make it solid and systematic. 본 연구는 일반적인 영어교재에서 주어-동사 수 일치를 설명함에 있어서 예외적 규칙들과 다소간의 모호성이 존재하는 양화사 구조 구문에서 수 일치의 일관성을 설립하기 위함이다. 일관성의 부재는 문법성에 치명적 오류를 산출할 수 있다. 영어의 양화사 수 일치 구조에 있어서 일반적인 교재들에서 다루고 있는 예외적 규칙들은 불필요하다고 여겨지고 보편적인 주어-동사 수 일치 문법만으로 충분히 문제를 해결 할 수 있으며 예외적 규칙을 더하는 것은 영어의 문법성을 더욱 복잡하고 어렵게 만드는 것이다. 양화사들에 각기 내재되어 있는 양화사 고유특성들이 양화사가 대명사적으로 사용될 때에도 고유의 특성을 유지하게 되고 그 결과 양화사 구문의 주어-동사 수 일치와 연결되어 있다고 볼 수 있다. 본 연구를 통해서 양화사 구문에서의 주어-동사 수 일치와 명사-대명사의 수 일치 규칙을 접목하여 양화사 구문의 수 일치 규칙을 단순화하여 문법성을 체계화할 수 있다는 것을 확인할 수 있다.

        Stafne Bone Cavity of the Mandible

        Stafne bone cavity is a rare mandibular defect that was first reported by Edward C. Stafne in 1942. It commonly presents with a well-demarcated, asymptomatic, unilateral radiolucency that indicates lingual invagination of the cortical bone. A 52-year-old female patient who with nasal bone fracture, visited the hospital. During facial bone computed tomography (CT) for facial area evaluation, a well-shaped cystic lesion was accidentally detected on the right side of the mandible. Compared to the left side, no swelling or deformity was observed in the right side of the oral lesion, and no signs of deformity caused by mucosal inflammation. 3D CT scans, and mandible series x-rays were performed, which showed a well-ossified radiolucent oval lesion. Axial CT image revealed a cortical defect containing soft tissue lesion, which has similar density as the submandibular gland on the lingual surface of the mandible. The fact that Stafne cavity is completely surrounded by the bone is the evidence to support the hypothesis that embryonic salivary gland is entrapped by the bone. In most cases, Stafne bone cavity does not require surgical treatment. We believe that the mechanical pressure from the salivary gland could have caused the defect.

        Transient Anisocoria during Medial Blowout Fracture Surgery

        Transient anisocoria is rare during blowout fracture reconstruction. We report a case of transient anisocoria occurring during medial blowout fracture reconstruction and review the relevant literature. A 54-year-old woman was struck in the face and was admitted for a medial blowout fracture of the left eye. During the operation, persistent bleeding occurred. To control this bleeding, a 1% lidocaine solution with 1:200,000 epinephrine was applied to the orbital wall with cotton pledgets. In total, 40 mL of local anesthetic was used for the duration of the operation. After approximately three hours of the surgery, the ipsilateral pupil was observed to be dilated, with sluggish response to light. By 3 hours after the operation, the mydriasis had resolved with normal light reflex. In conclusion, neurological and ophthalmologic evaluation must be performed prior to blowout fracture surgery. Preoperative ophthalmic evaluation is simple and essential in ruling out any preexisting neurologic condition. Moreover, surgeons must be aware of the fact that excessive injection of lidocaine with epinephrine for hemostasis during orbital wall surgery can result in intraoperative anisocoria. Anisocoria-related situations must be addressed in a proficient manner through sufficient understanding of the mechanism controlling the pupillary response to various stimuli.

        Electronic and Magnetic Properties of an Fe Monolayer Hosted between Graphene Sheets

        We investigate the magnetic properties of an Fe monolayer residing between two graphene sheets with the use of the full-potential linearized augmented plane wave method within the generalized gradient approximation. We consider three Fe monolayers of different morphologies sat in the middle between two C(0001) layers. In the densest monolayer, Fe atoms occupy each hollow position available between C(0001) layers and in the least dense structure, the occupancy is 50 %. The equilibrium interlayer distance is determined through total energy calculations and the electronic and the magnetic properties of the equilibrium structures are discussed. The calculated magnetic moments on Fe atoms are 2.23 μB for dense structures and 2.03 μB for the structure with the largest interatomic distance. The least dense structure was found to be half-metallic with a total magnetic moment per unit cell of 2.0 μB. For this structure, an energy gap is found for the majority spin channel. In the investigated systems, the sp-d hybridization between C and Fe atoms plays an important role and is noticeable in less dense structures. The magnetic properties of an Fe monolayer may be adjusted by controlling both the density of the monolayer and the interlayer distance in the system.
