Due to the serious issues posed by facial manipulation technologies, many researchers are becoming increasingly interested in the identification of face forgeries. The majority of existing face forgery detection methods leverage powerful data adaptation ability of neural network to derive distinguishing traits. These deep learning-based detection methods frequently treat the detection of fake faces as a binary classification problem and employ softmax loss to track CNN network training. However, acquired traits observed by softmax loss are insufficient for discriminating. To get over these limitations, in this study, we introduce a novel discriminative feature learning based on Vision Transformer architecture. Additionally, a separation-center loss is created to simply compress intra-class variation of original faces while enhancing inter-class differences in the embedding space.

A combination of Polycarbonate (PC) material and Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), fabricated using an injection molding machine, has been investigated to determine its advantages, as studied in Ref. 1). This paper aims to investigate the optimization of PMMA/PC blend for both tensile yield strength and impact strength. Furthermore, interaction effects of process conditions on mechanical properties including tensile yield strength and impact strength of PMMA/PC blend by injection molding process are interpreted in this study. Tensile and impact specimens are designed following ASTM, type V, and are fabricated by injection molding process. The processing conditions such as melt temperature, mold temperature, packing pressure, and cooling time are applied; each factor has three levels. As a result, in comparison with optimization of separated responses, mechanical properties of PMMA/PC are found to decrease when optimizing both tensile and impact strengths simultaneously. The melt temperature is found to be the most significant interaction parameter with the mold temperature and packing pressure. In addition, there is more interaction between the mold temperature and cooling time. This investigation provides a useful understanding of the control of injection molding processing of polymer blends in optical application.
China-ASEAN Trade Relations: A Study of Determinants and Potentials
TRAN, Hiep Xuan,HOANG, Nhan Thanh Thi,NGUYEN, Anh Thuy,TRUONG, Hoan Quang,DONG, Chung Van Korea Distribution Science Association 2020 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.7 No.9
The purpose of this study is to investigate the development and determinants of China-ASEAN trade relations over the period of 2000-2018. Employing both the qualitative and quantitative approaches, the results show that the trade relations between China and the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) have remarkably developed and rapidly grown over times, with a significantly important concentration on the segments of high technological and medium technological products. We also find that China's economic scale is crucially impacting on the China-ASEAN trade relations under both the aggregate and sub-sector level. It is interesting to notice that there is no evidence to support accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) and officially forming of ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement (ACFTA) to enhance trade relation between both sides. The findings also quantitatively indicate that there is much significant potential for the expansion of mutual trade between China and some members of ASEAN such as Brunei, Laos and Malaysia, while less potential is predicted for other members of ASEAN. It is strongly suggested that China and ASEAN should find a new proactive approach and make more efforts in improving the mutual political trusts to enhance trading activities in the coming years.
Orodispersible film incorporating nanoparticulate loratadine for an enhanced oral bioavailability
Van Nguyen Khanh,Dang Thu Kim,Vu Linh Thi Dieu,Ha Nhan Thi,Truong Hieu Duy,Tran Tuan Hiep 한국약제학회 2023 Journal of Pharmaceutical Investigation Vol.53 No.3
Purpose Loratadine (LOR), a commonly prescribed antihistamine, has low water solubility but high permeability. In this study, an orodispersible film incorporating the nanoparticulate loratadine was prepared to enhance the oral bioavailability of a poorly water-soluble drug. Methods Nanoparticulate loratadine was formulated using the antisolvent precipitation method and optimized by a singlefactor design based on the particle size and polydispersity index. The optimal formulation was spray-dried and characterized by powder X-ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry. Nanoparticulate loratadine was loaded into an orodispersible film using a solvent casting method. Results In the dissolution tests, the nanoparticulate loratadine-loaded orodispersible film exhibited a 6.5-fold higher dissolution rate than the pure loratadine-loaded film and a similar dissolution rate compared to the commercialized orodispersible tablet, Loratadine SPM. In pharmacokinetic studies conducted on rats, the maximum concentration (Cmax) and area under the curve of the plasma concentration–time profile from 0 to 24 h (AUC 0-24 h) of the nanoparticulate loratadine-loaded orodispersible film significantly increased 1.8-fold and 5.8-fold, respectively. The elimination half-life (t1//2) increased 5.1-fold compared to the loratadine-loaded counterpart. Conclusion These results suggest the potential of orodispersible films to improve the oral bioavailability of poorly watersoluble drugs and promote compliance in pediatric and geriatric patients.

Tran Hoang Cao Son,Le Khac Top,Nguyen Thi Dong Tri,Ha Thuc Chi Nhan,Lam Quang Vinh,Bach Thang Phan,김상섭,Le Van Hieu 대한금속·재료학회 2014 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.20 No.2
We report the direct electrochemical deposition of ZnO nanorods on an indium tin oxide substrate. Themorphology and orientation of the grown ZnO nanorods were investigated as functions of the currentdensity. It is likely that the concentrations of OH- and Zn2+ ions, which could be controlled by varying thecurrent density, determine the shape and alignment of the ZnO nanorods. The nanorods were tilted, hexagonal, and prismatic at a low current density (0.1 mA/cm2) and vertically aligned and obelisk-shaped at highcurrent densities (greater than 0.6 mA/cm2). By using the low and high current densities sequentially in atwo-step growth process, vertically aligned, hexagonal, and prismatic ZnO nanorods could be grownsuccessfully. The underlying mechanism responsible for the growth of the ZnO nanorods is also discussed.

This study aimed to evaluate the encapsulation of pomelo (Citrus grandis (L.) Osbeck) essential oils using the spray drying technique. The parameters of the process include concentration of maltodextrin (20–35% by wt%/wt%), concentration of essential oil (1–2.5% by wt%/wt%), inlet temperature of spray drying (120–180 °C), and feed flow rates (120–240 mL/h) were soundly examined. The utilization of suitable parameters as the concentration of maltodextrin at 30% (by wt%/wt%), the concentration of essential oil at 1.5% (by wt%/wt%), the inlet temperature of 140 °C, and feed flow rate of 120 mL/h showed the highest drying yields (90.05%), microencapsulation yield (75.59%), and microencapsulation efficiency (89.44%). TGA and DSC results verified higher stability of Citrus grandis essential oil after encapsulation. The encapsulation of pomelo essential oils maintained most of the major components in comparison with the non-encapsulated essential oils without any significant changing in powder-obtained quality.

Physical Layer Secrecy Performance of RF-EH Networks with Multiple Eavesdroppers
Truong, Tien-Vu,Vo, Nhan-Van,Ha, Dac-Binh,Tran, Duc-Dung The Korea Institute of Information and Commucation 2016 Journal of information and communication convergen Vol.14 No.3
In this study, we investigate the physical layer secrecy performance of RF energy harvesting (EH) networks over Rayleigh fading channels. The RF-EH system considered here consists of one power transfer station, one source, one destination, and multiple passive eavesdroppers. The source harvests energy from the power transfer station and transmits the information to the destination by using a time switching-based relaying protocol. The eavesdroppers try to extract the transmitted information without an active attack. By using the statistical characteristics of the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), the exact closed-form expressions of the existence probability of the secrecy capacity and the secrecy outage probability are derived. Further, we analyze the secrecy performance of the system with respect to various system parameters, such as the location of the system elements and the number of eavesdroppers. Finally, the equivalent Monte Carlo simulation results are provided to confirm the correctness of our calculations.
Factors Affecting the Performance of Vietnamese Commercial Banks: Does Basel II Matter?
Duy Khang LE,Thi Minh Nhan TRAN,Van Diep NGUYEN 한국유통과학회 2022 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.9 No.3
This paper examines the main factors affecting the bank performance under the Basel II implementation in Vietnam, a transitional economy in Asia. We pay special attention to the implementation duration of the Basel II convention and how it affects profitability. Thereby, we can evaluate the effectiveness of Basel II in the whole system according to the roadmap to 2020. We employ the panel data regression method to analyze a sample of 300 bank-year observations from 25 commercial banks during the 2008–2019 period. Our empirical findings show that the size of the bank, net interest margin, state ownership, and Basel II convention have positive effects on bank profitability. However, our empirical findings indicate that bank age and branch number negatively reduce bank performance. Finally, our results indicate that commercial banks earn extra profit from delaying the implementation of Basel II. However, commercial banks will encounter higher credit, and operational risks arising from delaying the implementation of Basel II standards. Therefore, our study contributes to the insights into the bank’s management to enhance profitability, especially after implementing Basel II in a transitional economy. Finally, our study also provides policy implications for bank managers and banking supervisory to maintain the sustainable development of the banking system.
