Usual interstitial pneumonia(UIP) is relatively rare disease of lung parenchyme under the age of 50. Lung cancer is reported to occur as a complication of UIP, but has not been reported in young age patient with UIP in Korea. A 35-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of dyspnea, cough and mild fever. He had been suffered from dyspnea during 3 years. The dyspnea worsened recent 1 month ago. He had been treated with pneumonia at another hospital during 4 months before this admission. Chest radiographs and High resolution CT showed subpleural and basal dominant reticular opacities in both lung with no change until now. He was smoker and his occupation was car engine-man dealing with benzene. UIP is suspected by history and radiologic findings. Operation for open lung biopsy was performed to obtain lung specimen via video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery. Patient's pathologic examination showed UIP combined with adenocarcinoma in RLL superior segment and posterobasal segment and RLL lobectomy was done. After operation, the patient has been in cancer free condition so far. We report a case of UIP combined with lung cancer in young man with brief review of the literature.

It is very difficult to control the expansion of reed at a wetland ecological park due to their aggressive reproduction capability. Therefore, proper topography and wetland hydrology should be provided before the construction of a wetland ecological park. Appropriate measures should be taken at the initial stages to prevent reed expansion. Field experiments were conducted at the newly constructed wetland ecological park for 15 months to develop methods to control the reproduction and expansion of Phragmites communis. A complete shading method had the best effect on the prevention of reed reoccurrence among other methods. Complete removal of the rhizomes controlled the reed growth to a greater extent than cutting the aboveground shoots. Water-level manipulation was also better than a half-shading method for the prevention of reed reproduction. These results indicated that soil properties and edge effects can influence the reed growth. Cutting only the aboveground shoots facilitates the growth of reed. These results suggest that reed control should be implemented repeatedly and an alteration in the wetland topography and hydrology may be more effective in the long term. Combination of treatments such as water-level management with shading should be considered to control the growth of reed. Adoptive management for created or restored ecosystem might be considered for accomplishment of its original purpose.

Today, CEOs and the managers of the marketing department seriously consider values, quality of life, and the public interest of the society. Moreover, they recognized the need for a systematic approach to harmonize the consumer's satisfaction with the living environment. Existing marketing policy and strategy tend to focus simply focused on the customer's needs. However the 'Green Marketing' is a new approach to concentrate the market by emphasizing on environmental protection and by maintaining the balance of the ecosystem. This policy and strategy will facilitate to penetrate into the consumers who are interested in environmental issues. In this study, we will diversify the policy and strategy of green marketing, based on the basic premise of integrating environment and economy. this policy and strategy will work toward building a sustainable society by preventing pollution, saving resources and encouraging citizen participation and cooperation. For the purpose of this research, existing foreign and domestic documents were utilized in term of the theoretical aspects of green marketing's and relevant cases were analyzed in a stepwise manner.

The Korean hemorrhagic fever (KHF) is an acute febrile disease with characteristic of fever, bleeding tendency, and renal failure. There are many complications of Korean hemorrhagic fever such as infection, anemia, internal bleeding, hypopituitarism, respiratory, and neurologic complication. A few cases were reported on acute pancreatitis with hemorrhagic fever abroad, but there was no case about Korean hemorrhagic fever with acute pancreatitis in this country. We experienced a case of Korean hemorrhagic fever associated with suspected acute pancreatits. With review of articles, we report a case of 51 year-old woman with KHF, where acute pancreatitis developed during management, (Korean J Infect Dis 33:376∼379, 2001)

This paper discusses an index-based subsequence matching that supports time warping in large sequence databases. Time warping enables finding sequences with similar patterns even when they are of different lengths. In earlier work, we suggested an efficient method for whole matching under time warping. This method constructs a multidimensional index on a set of feature vectors, which are invariant to time warping, from data sequences. For filtering at feature space, it also applies a lower-bound function, which consistently underestimates the time warping distance as well as satisfies the triangular inequality. In this paper, we incorporate the prefix-querying approach based on sliding windows into the earlier approach. For indexing, we extract a feature vector from every subsequence inside a sliding window and construct a multi-dimensional index using a feature vector as indexing attributes. For query precessing, we perform a series of index searches using the feature vectors of qualifying query prefixes. Our approach provides effective and scalable subsequence matching even with a large volume of a database. We also prove that our approach does not incur false dismissal. To verily the superiority of our method, we perform extensive experiments. The results reseal that our method achieves significant speedup with real-world S&P 500 stock data and with very large synthetic data.

Consumers facing a large number of brands to choose from are known to use simplified heuristic to screen a set of relevant brands called the consideration set from the whole alternatives. Purchase decisions are then made from the brands in the consideration set. Two approaches have been suggested to model the two-stage choice process. One is to treat the consideration set as a crisp set (e.g, Roberts and Lattin 1991). The other is to treat the set as a fuzzy set (e.g, Fortheringham 1988). The paper empirically compares the two types of models using data for soft drinks, sneakers, and departments. The results show that a model employing the crisp set approach fits the data better than that with the fuzzy set approach and better than a single-stage choice logit model.

As many organizations are searching for ways to compete more effectively in today′s market environment. Service quality is become the most important fact to improve their competition. The objectives of this paper are to provide an overview of service Quality and to discuss how to measure it more efficiently. This study develops a conceptual ″SERVPERF″ and ″SERVQUAL″ of service quality, which identifies only performance based measurement. And Fuzzy quality measuring (FQM) using Fuzzy rule based algorithm to adept survey to date sets is proposed. Furthermore, the study examines the applicability of Fuzzy rule based measurement.
