Surfactin isolated from Bacillus subtilis has a strong surface tension-lowering activity, together with antiviral, antitumor, fibrinolytic and hypocholesterolemic activities. LC/MS is a simple, rapid and effective technique for the determination of surfactin C in rat serum. The separation of surfactin was achieved on reverse phase column. The mobile phase consisted of 0.1% trifluoracetic acid in water (A) and acetonitrile (B). As a result of analysis of blank rat serum samples, matrix interference was not shown. The values of precision and accuracy were satisfied w the guideline. A newly developed LC/MS method for the determination of surfactin C was successfully applied in its pharmacokinetic analysis.

Over the past several years, research efforts have been directed both at economically producing valuable substances from the wood biomass and at producing lignolytic enzymes at a lower cost. In the present study, we found that Phellinus igniaruas, the basidiomycetes, secreted lignin peroxidase as a main lignolytic enzyme, which was detected maximum activity at 16th day of culture and showed 37 kDa of molecular mass in identification by activity assay and purification by anion-exchange chromatography. The Phellinus igniarius-derived lignin peroxidase hydrolyzed steam-exploded wood (Quercus ntongolica) powder into small molecules showing cytotoxicity against cancer cells (HepG2 hepatoma, SK-N-SH neuroblastoma, B16 melanoma, MBT-2 bladder cancer). ha addition, the enzyme hydrolysates of lignins (ELg) that were extracted from the steam-exploded oak showed more potent cytotoxic effects on the cancer cells than the enzyme hydrolysates of wood biomass (EWp). indicating that the cytotoxic effect of EWp may be due to the enzyme-degraded products of lignin among the lignocellulosics. Furthermore, the cytotoxic effect of ELg on Chang, normal liver cells, was much less potent than that of ELg on HepG2 and B16 cancer cells, indicating that the cytotoxic effect of ELg may be specific for cancer cells. The present results suggest that Phellinus igniarius may be a useful resource for the large-scale production of lignin peroxidase and that the lignin peroxidase may be applied for the generation of valuable biodegradation products from wood lignocellulosics for medical use.

To clarify the neurotoxicity of hydrogen peroxide(H2O2) in cultured hippocampal neurons derived from neonatal mouse, cytotoxicity was measured by MTS assay after cultured cells were grown for 5 hours in the media containing 1∼20μM concentrations of H2O2. In addition, the neuroprotective effect of Uncariae Ramulus Cum Uncis was measured in these cultrures. Cell viability was positively decreased in a dose-dependent manner after exposure of cultured mouse hippocampal neurons to 10μM H2O2 for 5 hours. In the neuroprotective effect of Uncariae Ramulus Cum Uncis on H2O2-mediated toxicity, Uncariae Ramulus Cum Uncis prevented the H2O2-induced neurotoxicity in these cultures. From these results, it suggests that H2O2 is toxic in cultured hippocampal neurons derived from neonatal mouse and selective herb extract such as Uncariae Ramulus Cum Uncis is effective in prevetion of the neurotoxicity induced by H2O2.
범용 MPU의 PWM 출력을 이용한 PLC 원호보간 기능 구현

이 논문은 PLC 내장 위치결정 기능의 원호보간 기능 구현에 대하여 설명한다. 원호보간 알고리듬은 많은 사람들에 의해 연구되었지만 본 논문에서는 기존에 발표된 비교적 간단한 알고리듬을 창조하여 범용 MPU를 활용한 펄스 제어방법을 소개한다. 특히 원호보간 시 정해진 궤적을 벗어나지 않기 위해서 1㎳ 단위로 새로운 위치 값을 연산하여 운전하는 방식을 채용하였다.

This study is aimed to research the hot-spring destination image of Sokcho city which is rich in tourism resources that are natural and cultural ones, and to utilize the analyzed results as a reference for activating the tourism of Sokcho city. To measure the influence which tourism destination images affect to the customer satisfaction and visiting intention, Sokcho`s hot-spring tourism destination images are divided into specific cognitive images and emotional images based on previous studies, and also prepare the questionnaires for measuring the Sokcho`s hot-spring tourism destination images. As a result, the Sokcho`s hot-spring tourism destination images influenced(plus direction) to tourist satisfaction and the emotional images more strongly influenced to tourist satisfaction than the cognitive images did. As it analyzed that excellence in tourist service among the cognitive images and excellence in facilities among the emotional images are not fit the full model, it is necessary that Sokcho city improve and enlarge excellence in tourist service and excellence in facilities to be a good hot-spring destination. And it is also analyzed that degree of satisfaction and behavioral intentions are proportional to tourism value. It means that the city needs continuous tourism marketing activities like “an image building and facility investment of hot-spring destination.

This paper describes the design process of three-phase squirrel cage induction moter. stator and rotor were modelled with the result obtained from loading distribution on the provided specification. For proving validity of the result obtained from loading distribution, through Maxwell simulator the first test target values, output and efficency, synchronous speed and etc, were compared with the design result.

Osteochondroma is the most common benign tumor of axial and appendicular skeletons. While this tumor occurs at long bones exclusively, however, the lesion have been reported in many other skeletal site including the scapula, vertebra, ilium and mandible. In the mandible, most of lesions involve the coronoid process and the condylar osteochondroma is very rare. Condylar osteochondroma may manifests varying clinical signs and symptoms which include prognathic deviation of the mandible to the opposite side, malocclusion, cervicofacial pain and limited mouth opening. The majority of surgical treatments have been condylectomy. But recently, simple extirpation of lesion with condylar salvage were reported to maintain functions of mandible and the ramal height postoperatively. We have experienced two cases of condylar osteochondroma treated with simple extirpation of lesion and condylar shaving, and would like to report these with review of literatures.
