      • Peroxiredoxin V Regulates Aco2, Acadm, and Acox1 Activity in Hypoxic Kidney

        Peroxiredoxin V, an atypical thioredoxin peroxidase, is widely expressed in mammalian tissues. In addition, Prdx V is localized in mitochondria, peroxisome, cytosol, and nucleus. Prdx V has been reported to protect a wide range of cellular environments as antioxidant enzyme, and its dysfunctions may be implicated in several diseases, such as cancer, inflammation, and neurodegenerative disease. Identification and relative quantification of proteins affected by Prdx V may help identify novel signaling mechanisms that are important for oxidative stress response. However, the role of Prdx V in the modulation of hypoxia‐related cellular response is not studied yet. In order to examine the function of endogenous Prdx V in hypoxic condition in vivo, we generated a transgenic mouse model with Prdx V siRNA expression controlled by U6 promoter. Of many tissues, the knockdown of Prdx V expression was displayed in kidney, lung, and liver, but not spleen and skin. We conducted on the basis of nano‐UPLC‐MSE proteomic study to identify the Prdx V‐affected protein networks in hypoxic kidneys. In this study, we identified protein networks associated with oxidative stress, fatty acid metabolism, and mitochondrial dysfunction. Our results indicated that Prdx V affected to regulation of kidney homeostasis under hypoxia stress.

      • A Study on the Functionality of Halophytes from Coast area of Jeollanam-do

        This study was undertaken to improve the perceived value of halophytes and contribute to the activity of the local economy by analyzing the antioxidant activity and mineral content of Suaeda japonica, Tetragonia tetragonoides, and Spergularia marina that grow wild on the mud flats and coastal areas. The total phenolic compound content found in each order is as follows: Suaeda japonica (3.674∼5.989 mg TAE/g dry wt.), Tetragonia tetragonoides (2.515∼4.471 mg TAE/g dry wt.), and Spergularia marina (2.450∼4.067 mg TAE/g dry wt.); DPPH radical scavenging and ABTS cation radical scavenging activities were also recorded in the same order. In the case of minerals, Iron(Fe) was relatively high in Suaeda japonica (960.1∼1,346.7 mg/kg), Manganese(Mn) in Tetragonia tetragonoides (197.1∼574.8 mg/kg), and Zinc(Zn) was relatively high in Spergularia marina (63.19∼216.56 mg/kg). It was confirmed that the mineral content of Suaeda japonica, Tetragonia tetragonoides, and Spergularia marina was significantly higher than that of Chinese cabbage, lettuce, leek, and spinach.

      • Development and Performance Test of an Equipment for a Selective Separation of Paraffin From the Paraffin Solidification Product Using the Vacuum Evaporation and Condensational Deposition Recovery Method

        Nuclear power plants in Korea stores approximately 3,800 drums of paraffin solidification products. Due to the lack of homogeneity, these solidification products are not allowed to be disposed of. There is therefore a need for the separation of paraffin from the solidification products. This work developed an equipment for a selective separation of paraffin from the solidification product using the vacuum evaporation and condensational recovery method in a closed system. The equipment mainly consists of a vacuum evaporator and a condensational deposition recovery chamber. Nonisothermal vacuum TGAs, kinetic analyses and kinetic predictions were conducted to set appropriate operation conditions. Its basic operability under the established conditions was first confirmed using pure paraffin solid. Simulated paraffin solidification product fixing dried boric acid waste including nonradioactive Co and Cs were then fabricated and tested for the capability of selective separation of paraffin from the simulated waste. Paraffin was selectively separated without entertainment of Co and Cs. It was confirmed that the developed equipment could separate and recover paraffin in the form of nonradioactive waste.

      • 양족 로봇에 대한 신경회로망 역모델 학습 제어

        본 논문에서는 신경회로망을 이용한 양족 로봇에 대한 역모델 학습 제어에 관한 연구를 하였다. 5관절 양족 로봇 모델을 가지고 운동학과 동력학을 구했고 신경회로망의 학습으로 역모델을 구성하였다. 로봇 관절의 원하는 위치, 속도와 가속도를 신경회로망의 입력으로 하고, 원하는 토크를 출력으로 하여 토크 오차가 영(0)이 되도록 가중치를 학습시켜 조절하여 역모델을 구했다. 역모델에 의한 각 관절의 위치, 속도와 가속도를 제어하는 방법을 제안했다. 역전파 알고리즘을 사용하여 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 역모델의 효율성을 입증했다. 반복횟수가 많을수록 SSE(sun square error)가 영에 가까워짐을 알 수 있었다. 또한 원하는 토크, 위치, 속도와 반복횟수에 따른 토크, 위치, 속도 오차의 차이를 표로 보여주었다. 반복횟수가 많을수록 토크, 위치, 속도 오차가 적음을 알 수 있었다. In this paper, learning control of inverse for biped robot using neural network is studied. Kinematics and dynamics of a 5-link biped robot model was attained, and by the neural network's learning capability a reverse model was made. Using the robots joint position, speed, and acceleration for the neural networks input and the desired torque as the output, adjusting neural network's learned weights to make the torque error to be zero and attained an inverse model. We proposed a method for each joint position, velocity and acceleration control by the inverse model, and the inverse model efficiency is proved by simulation using back-propagation algorithm. We now know that the larger the iteration number, the closer the SSE(sun square error) approaches to zero, and that the larger the iteration number, the smaller the error of torque, position, and velocity.

        The characteristic of the pressure distributions are studied theoretically and experimentally for the laminar steady flow and the laminar pulsating flow generated by the butterfly valve in the coiled pipes with the curvature ratios of 7 and 30. The pressure gredient ratios affact with Wormersley numbers, Dean numbers, velocity amplitude ratios and time averaged Reynolds numbers. The pressure gredient ratios of oscillatory components increase according to increasing the Wormersley number and the velocity amplitude ratio.

      • 産婦人科 患者에서 分離된 Ureaplasma urealyticum의 生物學的 性狀

        Isolation rates of Ureaplasma urealyticum from vaginal swab of 216 patients, 105 prostitutes and 100 college females was investigated. Also, minimal inhibitory concentration of isolated strains about tetracycline and minocycline was studied. The results were summarized as follows; 1. Out of 70 vaginitis patients, isolation rates of Ureaplasma urealyticum and Mycoplasma hominis were 34.3% and 15.7%, respectively. 2. Out of 54 cervicitis patients, isolation rates of Ureplasma urealyticum and Mycoplasma hominis were 37.0% and 11.0%, respectively. 3. Out of 92 other gynecological patients, isolation rates of Ureaplasma urealyticum and mycoplasma hominis were 44.6% and 16.3%, respectively. 4. Out of 105 prostitues, isolation rates of Ureaplasma urealyticum and Mycoplasma hominis were 54.3% and 75.2%, respectively. 5. Out of 100 college students, isolation rates of Ureaplasma urealyticum and Mycoplasma hominis were 23.0% and 7.0% respectively. 6. In the susceptibility patterns of isolated Ureaplasma urealyticum, resistant strains about tetracycline in patients, prostitues and college students were 75.2%, 73.6% and 69.5%, respectively 7. In the susceptibility patterns of isolated Ureaplasma urealyticum, resistant strains about minocycline in patients, prostitues and college students were 91.7%, 87.7% and 73.9%, respectively.

      • ASEA-SKF 래들용 고알루미나 내화재의 용손성향

        ASEA-SKF 래들에 사용된 고알루미나 내화물의 광물 및 화학적 변화를 화학분석, 현미결관찰, X-선회절분석으로 조사하였다. 미사용 벽돌의 주요 광물상은 α-Al₂O₃, mullite, tridymite이었다. 가동면에서 SiO₂결정상이 소실되었으며 mullite와 α-Al₂O₃가 다소 감소하였고 2FeO·SiO₂와 hercynite, FeO, Cr₂O₃상이 생성되었다. 침식율은 강종에 따라 다소간 차이가 있었으며 용강 SF-45와 60분간 반응시켰을때 SK36벽돌의 침식율은 75.9%인 반면에 SK38벽돌의 침식율은 20.47%이었다. 대부분의 용손벽돌에서 가동면으로부터 내부로 감에 따라 열적 및 화학적 스폴링으로 인하여 미세균열이 존재하였다. Mineral and chemical changes of alumina refractories used in ASEA-SKF ladle were examined by chemical analysis, microscopy and X-ray diffraction method. Main minerals in unused high alumina runner bricks were α-Al₂O₃, mullite and tridymite. In working face of high alumina runner bricks, SiO₂phase was not observed, mullite and α-Al₂O₃phases more or less decreased. On the other hand, 2FeO·SiO₂, hercynite, FeO and Cr₂O₃phases were formed. Th corrosion of high alumina runner bricks showed different behavior by using various types of iron melts. Expecially, corrosivites of SK36 bricks and SK38 bricks, which immersed in SF-45 Iron melts for 60min, were 75.9% and 20.47%, respectively. Microcracks in high alumina runner bricks increased from the working face to the inside due to thermal and chemical spalling.

      • 咸平灣에 對한 生態學的 硏究

        1984년 2월부터 1985년 9월 사이에 함평만의 생태학적 기초연구를 위하여 수질, 저질 및 규조류에 대한 조사를 실시하였다. 해수에 있어서 수온의 분포는 최저 -0.2℃에서부터 최고 27.6℃의 큰 변화를 보였으며 염분량은 29.32∼32.51‰, 용존산소량 3.66∼8.08㎎/ℓ, COD 0.56∼2.67㎎/ℓ, 총질소량 0.77∼8,36㎍-at/ℓ, 그리고 인산염 0.28∼0.89㎍-at/ℓ범위였으며, 이들 환경요인의 수직적인 분포양상은 표층과 저층간에 큰 변화가 없는 혼합구조를 보였다. 부유물질량은 4.0∼40.0㎎/ℓ 범위였는데 김의 채취시기에 그 양이 많았다. 저질은 만의 입구부와 간석지의 일부를 제외하고는 silt와 clay로 구성되었으며, 이들의 pH는 6.6∼7.7, 전기전도도는 1.6∼5.0mmhos/㎝ 범위였다. 저질 중에 함유된 유효인량은 1.15∼6.17ppm, 전질소량 0.20∼0.74㎎/g, 페오파이친 색소량 0.1∼5.6㎍/g, COD 6.2∼12.7㎎/g 및 유화물량 0.03∼0.70㎎/g였다. 이들의 수평적인 분포는 서로 유사하엿으며, COD,는 부영양화의 상한치에 많이 미달되는데 비해 유화물량은 상한치를 넘는 곳도 있었다. 조사기간동안 채집된 규조류는 22속 41종 1변종 1품종으로 총 44종류였으며, Coscinodiscus속의 출현율이 높았고, 4월과 7월에는 각각 Paralia sulcata와 Eucampia zoodiacus가 많이 나타났다. 규조류의 현존량은 162×10³∼8,910×10³cell/㎥로 11월에 그 양이 많았고 6월에 적었다. Physicochemical properties of water and bottom mud, and the species composi tion and biomass of diatoms were studied in Hampyung Bay for the period of Feburary, 1984 and September, 1985. The variation of water temperature was great, ranging from - 0.2 to 27.6℃. Water qualities such as salinity, DO, COD, total nitrogen and phosphorous showed no significant difference in relation to water depth. Suspended substance content of water varied from 4.0 to 40.0㎎/ℓ and the highest value showed in late winter and early spring. Soil particels of bottom mud was composed of clay and silt in almost sites except the mouth of Hampyung Bay. Horizontal distribution in quantities of physicochemical factors of bottom mud such as pH, conductivity, available phosphorus, phaeophytin content, COD and sulfide was almost same pattern. The diatoms collected during the investigated period were composed of 41 species, 1 variety, 1 forma in 22 genera. Genus Coscinodiscus was a high frequent group. Paralia sulcata was dominant species in April and Eucampica zoodiacus in July. Cell number of diatoms fluctuated with a range from 162 10³cells/㎥ to 8,910 10³cells/㎥.

        In this study, the potential energy and limitation of the facility of Chungju national university are analyzed in the respect of human knowledge, nature, and visual environment. In addition, the effctiveness and problem of the existing master plan are evaluated through the investigation on the main hart and development procedure of the previous master plan of CJU. These results are compared and reflected to the plan of Vision 2003, e-STRR2010 and effective campus development plans of CJU are presented.

      • 수도권 지역의 의료기기 관련 업체의 실태 조사 연구

        Recently, the domestic business of medical equipment have many difficult things in the development and sale of new product. To overcome them, it is needed to solidify the co-work system of industry-education marriage. This paper is undertakened to serve an aid in the field of medical equipment. The analysis of data is attempted through the survey by questionaires, and an object of study is the medical business corporation at Seoul area. As a result to review the data it was identifided that this study is able to be applied to the basis material to reconstruct a right role and phase to medical business Also, it`s expected that we're able to use its results as the educational materials to bring up the more qualified students fit to the industrial need.
