In this paper, we estimated the insulation properties of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) for ultra-high voltage cable. we have studied the dielectric characteristics of XLPE due to frequency and temperature variation. The dielectric characteristics were measured in the temperature range from 25[℃] to l20[℃]. Also we measured in the voltage range of l[V] to 20[V] according to the step voltage application method. From FT-IR spectrum as an analysis of physical properties, a strong absorption in wavenumbers 700 to 730[cm^(-1)] 1456[cm^(-1)] and 2700 to 3000 [cm^(-1)] observed by the methyl group(CH₂). From the analysis of DSC. the crystalline melting points of the specimen observed in the temperature 60[℃] and 106.58[℃].

The prevalence of sleep disorder is about 30% of the population. Common sleep disorders are insomnia, obstructive sleep apnea, narcolepsy, restless legs syndrome, rapid eye movement sleep behavior disorder and parasomnia. These sleep disorders lead various medical and mental complications. However, most sleep disorders are underdiagnosed and not treated appropriately. Sleep medicine is important for treating these sleep disorders and maintaining general healthy conditions. Specialized and comprehensive treatments for sleep disorder are important in sleep medicine.

Objective The aim of study is to investigate the relationship between serum vitamin D, c-reactive protein (CRP) levels, and anxiety symptoms. Methods Serum vitamin D and CRP levels of 51,003 Korean adult participants were collected retrospectively. Anxiety symptoms were assessed using the Korean version of Beck Anxiety Inventory. Logistic regression was used to estimate the odds ratio (ORs) of anxiety symptoms by serum vitamin D and CRP levels. The regression was adjusted for covariates, and each model was adjusted mutually for vitamin D and CRP levels. Results Compared with sufficient vitamin D levels (≥20 ng/mL), insufficient (10–19.99 ng/mL) and deficient (<10 ng/mL) vitamin D levels were significantly associated with risk of anxiety symptoms. Also, continuous vitamin D levels were negatively associated with the risk of anxiety symptoms. CRP levels did not affect the relationship between vitamin D levels and risk of anxiety symptoms. Conclusion Insufficient (10–19.99 ng/mL) and deficient (<10 ng/mL) vitamin D levels were significantly associated with risk of anxiety symptoms. After adjusting for CRP levels, the results were not changed, and no evidence of interaction between vitamin D and CRP levels was found. CRP levels did not account for the association between vitamin D levels and risk of anxiety symptoms.

Objectives: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of long-pulsed Nd:YAG laser (LPNYL, Genesis Excel V, Cutera) followed by IPL (Lumenis M22, Lumenis). The LPNYL laser was combined in order to provoke vasodilation in flushing patients and consequently potentiate the therapeutic effect of IPL. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed a total of 30 patients with mild to moderate facial flushing who were treated with LPNYL followed by IPL at 3 week interval, with an average of 3 treatments. Efficacy was evaluated using investigator’s global assessment and subjective satisfaction score. Results: Among them, 5 excellent improvement (75. 100%), 16 marked clinical improvement (51.75%) were achieved but 7 moderate (26.50%) and 2 minimal to no improvement (0.25%) were also done. Overall patient satisfaction revealed 8 “very satisfied”, 15 “satisfied”, 5 “slightly satisfied”, and 2 “unsatisfied”. Most patients showed minimal post-therapy facial edema, which usually resolved spontaneously within 2 days. Remarkable facial swelling was reported in 2 patients but it resolved within 7 days. Conclusion: The long-pulsed Nd:YAG laser followed by IPL for the purpose to eradicate flushing was effective with little morbidity and it may provide a new treatment algorithm for facial flushing.

Objective: The aim of this study is to determine the dose-response relationship between physical activity and anxiety symptoms. Methods: We included data of 124,434 participants who had comprehensive health-screening examinations from January 1st, 2012, to December 31st, 2016, in Kangbuk Samsung Hospital, Seoul and Suwon, South Korea. We measured the level of physical activity using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire-short form (IPAQ-SF) and estimated anxiety symptoms using the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI). BAI scores of 19 and above were defined as cases. Logistic regression was used to analyze the association between physical activity and BAI-defined anxiety. Furthermore, we assessed whether sex differences might affect the relationship between physical activity and BAI-defined anxiety by stratifying our data. Results: Compared with the sedentary group (0-600 METs-min/week), individuals achieving 600-6,000 METs-min/wk had a significantly lower risk of BAI-defined anxiety with a U-shaped relationship in general adults. After stratifying our data by sex, we found that optimal ranges of physical activity were 600-9,000 METs-min/wk for men, but 1,200-3,000 METs-min/wk for women. Conclusion: We identified a U- or J-shaped association between physical activity and anxiety symptoms, suggesting an optimal dose and upper limit of physical activity for decreasing anxiety symptoms. Optimal levels and upper limits of physical activity for reducing anxiety symptoms were higher for men than for women.
Artificial Intelligent Clothing Embedded Digital Technologies

With the rapid development of science and technology and the increased preference by consumers for high-function products, many products are being developed through the fusion of technologies in different industries. Among such fusion technologies, digital clothing which combines clothing with computer functions is being examined as a new growth item. The objectives of this study are to examine the concept, history, development, and market of intelligent clothing, in order to discuss future directions for the development of digital clothing technology, intelligent clothing (wearable computers) originated in the 1960s from the concept of separating computing equipment and attaching it to the body. This technology was studied intensively from the early 1980s and to the early 1990s. In the late 1990s, studies on wearable computers began to develop intelligent/digital clothing that was more comfortable and beneficial to users. Depending on the user and purpose, intelligent/digital clothing is now being developed and used in diverse industrial areas that include sports, medicine, military, entertainment, daily life, and business. Many experts forecast a huge growth potential for the digital textile/clothing market, and predict the fastest market growth in the field of healthcare/medicine. There exists a need to find solutions for many related technological, economic, and social issues for the steady dissemination and advancement of intelligent/digital clothing in various industries. Further, research should be continued on effective fusion technologies that reflect human sensitivity and that increase user convenience and benefits.
Feasibility Study of Source Position Verification in HDR Brachytherapy Using Scintillating Fiber

The position verification of the radiation source utilized in brachytherapy forms a critical factor in determining the therapeutic efficiency. Currently, films are used to verify the source position; however, this method is encumbered by the lengthy time interval required from film scanning to analysis, which makes real-time position verification difficult. In general, the source position accuracy is usually tested in a monthly quality assurance check. In this context, this study investigates the feasibility of the real-time position verification of the radiation source in high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy with the use of scintillating fibers. To this end, we construct a system consisting of scintillating fibers and a silicon photomultiplier (SiPM), optimize the dosimetric software setup and radiation system characteristics to obtain maximum measurement accuracy, and determine the relative ratio of the measured signals dependent upon the position of the scintillating fiber. According to the dosimetric results based on a treatment plan, in which the dwell time is set at 30 and 60 s at two dwell positions, the number of signals is 31.5 and 83, respectively. In other words, the signal rate roughly doubles in proportion to the dwell time. The source position can also be confirmed at the same time. With further improvements in the spatial resolution and scintillating fiber array, the source position can be verified in real-time in clinical settings with the use of a scintillating fiber-based system.
