      • 消癌去痰益氣湯의 cyclophosphamide 부작용 형성 억제효과

        Object : It is well known that modern chemotherapy against cancer has side effcts to a living body, especially hemopoietic and immunologial disfunctions. However, there are no effctive ways to reduce them.Recently, traditonal Korean herb medicine has been repoted to have some biological modifying responses. Therefore, we hypothesized that additional application of herb medicine during chemotherapy is more effective to reduce its side effects. While we were studying the effects, we have observed the inhibitory effect of Soamgudamikgitang on formation of side effects derived from Cyclophosphamide, it has been used in clinical practice at Kyung Hee Medicd Center.Methods : We injected 200㎎/㎏ of Cyclophosphamide, one time, to an experimental group, consisting of ten mice. We divided them into eight groups: normal, CPX, SAKT 2㎎, SAKT 10㎎, SAKT 50㎎, SAKI 2㎎+CPX, SAKT 10㎎+CPX, SAKT 50㎎+CPX. We injeted Soamgudamikgitang seven days, five days, three days, and one day before we injected CPX. One day, three days, and five days after CPX injection, we injected Soamgudamikgitang again and then killed all the mice.The parameters determined in this experiment were daily body weight liver and spleen weight, RBC, WBC, and platelet for hemopoietic dysfunction and AST, ALT for hepatotoxicity, BUN, creatine for renal toxcity, Iymphocyte proliferation activity and lymphocyte subsets for immunological toxvity.Results : We have found that Soamgdamikgitang has inhibitory effects on the formation of Cyclophosphamide 's side effects. Significant differences between the group, which contained Cyclophosphamide, and the other group, which contains Cyclophosphamide and 2, 10, 50㎎ of Soamgudamikgitang respectively were observed. Platelets(2㎎ of Soamgudamikgitang, p<O.05 ;10㎎, p<0.Ol ;50㎎, p<0.001), liver weight(SOw p.001), spieen weight(10mg, p<0.05), AST(all groups, p<0.01), ALT(2㎎, p<001 ;10㎎, p<O.05 ;50㎎, p<0.01), BUN(2㎎, p<0.01 ;50㎎, p<0.05). Althought immunological in both lymphocyte proliferation and its subsets were not observed, which shows that Soamgudamikgilang has a strong effect on T cell activities Conclusions : From the above results, we can expect that the combined therapy of Soamgudamikgitang and Cyclophosphamide is more effective for treating cancer Patients.

        구개부에 발생한 다형선종의 처치

        Pleomorphic adenoma of the palate is the most common of all intraoral salivary tumors. It can occur at any age but it presents most commonly in the 40∼60 age group, and there is no significant sex preponderance. It grows slowly and is usually painless, firm, well-circumscribed nodule. Because of high rate of recurrence, extra-capsular excision including the overlying mucosa and margin of normal tissue is recommended. We report 10 cases of palatal pelomorphic adenoma which have been successfully treated by extra-capsular excision. The surgical defects smaller than 3㎝ in diameter were covered with palatal acrylic splint for the secondary healing. The larger defects were repaired using palatal island flap in 3 cases, rotation flap and buccal fat graft in each 1 case. No patient showed any recurrence or malignant change during the mean follow-up period of 4 years and 9 months. These repair methods seem to be simple, reliable and uncomplicated procedures in the palatal surgical defects.

        한국농가의 농업자원이용과 경제적 효율성 분석

        이 연구의 목적은 2002년 농가경제조사 원자료를 이용하여 경지규모별, 지대별로 농업생산함수를 추정하여 농업생산자원의 이용과 경제적 효율성을 계량적으로 분석하고, 이러한 계량 분석결과를 이용하여 우리나라 농가에서 농업소득 증대를 위한 효율적 자원이용 방안을 제시하는데 있다. 농업생산함수의 추정과 분석결과, 우리나라 농가는 경지규모별, 지대별로 농업자원이용의 비효율성이 현저하게 나타났다. 따라서 개별농가에서 농업자원이용의 경제적 효율성을 개선하기 위한 경영지도나 농업생산시책 등이 마련 될 필요가 있다. This study intends to examine comparison of resource productivity and economic efficiency by size of cultivated land and zone by estimating Cobb-Douglas production functions for individual farm household. The estimated output elasticities and the estimated economic efficiencies of land, labor and capital inputs appear to be significantly different by the size of cultivated land and zone. The sum of elasticities of production function in the farm household by size of cultivated land varied widely, ranging from 1.047 to 1.214. The sum of elasticities of production function in the by zone range between 1.082 and 1.185. The ratios of marginal products to opportunity cost for labor and capital input are significantly different from unity. According to this study, much of farm household need to improve economic inefficiency of land, labor and capital inputs for maximizing profit as well as for achieving efficiency of farm resources.

      • Bridgman법에 의한 CdIn₂Te₄ 단결정 성장과 defect 연구

        수평 전기로에서 CdIn₂Te₄ 다결정을 합성하여 Bridgeman 법으로 3단 수직 전기로에서 CdIn₂Te₄ 단결정을 성장하였다. 성장된 결정의 특성은 x선 회절과 광발광 측정으로 조사하였다. CdIn₂Te₄ 단결정 시료는 Laue에 배면 반사법에 의해서 (001)면으로 성장되었음을 확인하였다. Hall 효과는 van der Pauw 방법에 의해 측정되었으며, 온도에 의존하는 운반자 농도와 이동도는 293K에서 각각 8.61×10^(16) /㎤, 242 cm²/V·s였다. CdIn₂Te₄ 단결정의 광흡수와 광전류 spectra를 293K에서 10K까지 측정하였다. 광흡수 스펙트럼으로부터 band gap E_(g)(T)는 Varshni 공식에 따라 계산한 결과 1.4750eV-(7.69×10^(-3) eV/K)T²/(T+2147 K)임을 확인하였다. 막 성장된(as-grown) CdIn₂Te₄ 단결정 시료를 Cd-, In-, Te 분위기에서 열처리하여 10K에서 photolumine science(PL) spectra를 측정하여 점 결함의 기원을 알아보았다. CdIn₂Te₄ 단결정내에서 내재된 결함들의 기원을 10 K에서 광발광을 측정하여 연구되었다. PL 측정으로부터 얻어진 V_(Te), Cd_(int), 그리고 V_(Cd) Te_(int)는 주개와 받개로 분류되어졌다. CdIn₂Te₄ 단결정 시료를 Cd 분위기에서 열처리하면 n형으로 변환됨을 알 수 있었고, In 분위기에서 열처리하면 열처리 이전의 PL spectra를 보이고 있어서 I₂, I₁ 및 S.A emission에 의한 PL peak에는 영향을 주지 않는다고 보았다. A stoichiometric mixture for CdIn₂Te₄ single crystal was prepared from horizontal electric furnace. The CdIn₂Te₄ single crystal was grown in the three-stage vertical electric furnace by using Bridgman method. The quality of the grown crystal has been investigated by the x-ray diffraction and the photoluminescence measurements. The (001) growth plane of oriented CdIn₂Te₄ single crystal was confirmed from back-reflection Laue patterns. The carrier density and mobility of CdIn₂Te₄ single crystal measured with Hall effect by van der Pauw method are 8.61×10^(16) ㎤ and 242 ㎠/V·s at 293K, respectively. The temperature dependence of the energy band gap of the CdIn₂Te₄ single crystal obtained from the absorption spectra was well described by the Varshni's relation, E_(g)(T) = 1.4750 eV - (7.69× 10^(-3) eV)T²/(T+ 2147). After the as-grown CdIn₂Te₄ single crystal was annealed in Cd-, In-, and Te-atmospheres, the origin of point defects of CdIn₂Te₄ single crystal has been investigated by the photoluminescence(PL) at 10 K. The native defects of V_(Te), Cd_(int), and V_(Cd), Te_(int) obtained by PL measurements were classified as a donors or acceptors type. And we concluded that the heat-treatment in the Cd-atmosphere converted CdIn₂Te₄ single crystal to an optical n-type. Also, we confirmed that In in CdIn₂Te₄ did not form the native defects because In in CdIn₂Te₄ single crystal existed in the form of stable bonds.

      • 전치 태반의 임상적 고찰

        This study was undertaken for the clinical evaluation and statistical analysis on the 38 cases of placenta previa who were admitted and treated from March 1, 1988 to Feb. 28, 1991. The results were as follows : 1. The incidence of placenta previa was one per 53 deliveries or 1.90% 2. There were 57.9 % total placenta previa, 21.1 % partial placenta previa, 13.1 % low-lying placenta previa and 7.9% marginal placenta previa. 3. Placenta previa has occured more often in multipara (63.2%) than primigravida 4. More than one-third (38.8%) cases of placenta previa had delayed admission until labor occured for some time following vaginal spotting has first time been noticed. More instructive prenatal education should be emphasized 5. Lower segment transverse section rate was 63.2%, classical cesarean section rate was 15.8% and cesarean hysterectomy was 9.8%. The rest of them were treated by vaginal deliveries of 5 cases(13.2%) 6. The perinatal loss associated with placenta previa was considered still higher : the premature death was 15.8% and term death was 2.6%. The problem of prevention of prematurity still remains to be studied. 7. There was no maternal mortality in our study

      • 배 유과 가공제품의 품질 특성 및 저장 중 생균수 변화

        To develop the functional pear fruitlet product, we prepared dried pear fruitlet and fermented pear fruitlet, respectively. Then we investigated their general characteristics, and viable cell number changes during the storage at room temperature. We also determined preference for their tastes. Dried pear fruitlet contained more ash and crude proteins as well as minerals than fermented pear fruitlet. However fermented pear fruitlet contained higher amount of edible fiber than dried pear fruitlet. Fungi were not detected from dried pear fruitlet during the storage experiment at room temperature. Numbers of bacteria from dried pear fruitlet were increased from 1.1☓105/g at the beginning to2.6☓106/g at the last day of experiment. When we determined change of fungi number during the storage of fermented pear fruitlet, we cannot detect fungi at the beginning but we detected 4.4☓102/g of fungi at the last day of storage experiment. Bacteria from fermented pear fruitlet were detected at around 1.0☓109/g during the storage periods. Preference for fermented pear fruitlet was superior to dried one.

      • Sisomicin고생산 균주의 예비선별과 이들의 생리적 특성

        In order to isolate selectively sisomicin over-producers during mutagenesis, several conditions required for fragmentation, mutagen treatment, and selection of mutants were examined. As a result, up to 30% yield-up of the antibiotic production of a candidate was achieved. For the step of scale-up, effect of antifoaming agent in small scale with flasks was studied. Palm oil was very effective within the range of without inhibiting of growth. Water addition during the fermentation enhanced 10% of sisomicin productivity than that of control.

      • 몇가지 β-lactam 항생제의 약효평가를 위한 Minimum Inhibitory Concentration(MIC)의 비교

        In order to screen the new β-lactam antibiotics for clinical use. we were compared MIC values of various β-lactam antibiotics. We also tested the influence of pH, inoculum size, stability of antibiotics in medium and some kinds of media on MIC value. As a result, cefotaxime, cefoperazone, piperacillin, cefamandole, cephaloridine, cephapirin, cefazolin, cephalothin, cephaioylycn were scored in antimicrobial activity of MIC data.

      • CATIA를 이용한 고속가공용 탭핑머신의 구조해석

        In this study the structure analysis of tapping m/c is developed to improve dynamic characteristics. To this purpose a tapping m/c is mathematically modelled and dynamic response analysis of the model are investigated by use of Finite Element Method(FEM). The investigation procedures are as follows. The finite element modelling of the tapping m/c is done with triangular and rectangular plate elements and each node of the elements has 6 degrees of freedom. And this model is idealized as a forced vibration system under impulse load by cutting force. Model parameters, natural frequency and mode shape, and dynamic response for displacement and stress are analyzed by use of mode superposition method. To reduce computing time of dynamic response analysis, lower vibration mode is analyzed with master-DOF and mass participation factor. In this case maximum relative displacement is occured at 17.483 Hz in the right column.

      • 직업성질환의 감시체계 구축

        Surveillance programs in the workplace can be used to monitor trends of illness, injury, or exposure to workplace hazards. In such activity, surveillance data are developed to assess variations in rates between (1) different industrial groups (2) different geographic areas, and/or (3) different time periods. In this way, surveillance of health or exposure trends can be used to evaluate the efficacy of programs designed to control occupational hazards. Medical screening programs have been existed for the identification of cases of occupational diseases such as pneumoconiosis, noise-induced hearing loss in Korea. However, the occurrence of some types of occupational illnesses and injuries has been seriously underestimated in Korea. The typical examples of underestimated occupational illness and injury are occupational asthma, occupational skin diseases, occupational musculoskeletal diseases, and occupational cancer. This underdiagnosis and underreporting of occupational illnesses and injuries subsequently contribute to difficulties in performing effective control of occupational hazards and implementing intervention programs to protect workers. To overcome this problem, a variety of occupational disease surveillance systems are being constructed for the identification of cases of occupational illness and injury and the monitoring of trends. In Inchon, Taejon, and Yochon, regional occupational surveillance system is being built for preventing occupational hazards and for enforcing occupational disease prevention programs in local level. Nation-wide occupational surveillance system is also being built with specific target disease such as occupational contact dermatitis, occupational asthma, or occupational musculoskeletal disorder. All of these systems have same difficulties in maintaining professional staff that could respond to the incoming reports. They have insufficient sources in collecting valid data. These programs should not be conducted as separate activities, but rather integrated into a comprehensive program as a national surveillance system designed to control workplace hazards and protect worker health in the national level. Further efforts are needed to develop available surveillance resources such as medical providers' reports, hospital medical records, medical examination data of employees, and biological monitoring data, worker's compensation data. Appropriate preventive intervention will also be needed to control workplace hazards and protect worker health using surveillance data.
