Objective: Demonstrate a new instrument, technique or procedure Target: Beginning practicioners Methods: Ovarian cyst can be removed easily after cyst aspiration. In case of solid tumor we can use electronic mocellater. If it is not malignant tumor. The thecoma is a benign ovarian tumor contained lipoma like component. It is very difficult to remove because lipoma became fragments and scattered to peritoneal cavity Generaly solid tumor peeled off and removed through the cannula. We use an endoscopic retrieval bag to inset without pivot removal. After spreading the bag in peritoneal cavity, Rotate the handle sothat the specimen put into the bag. We can remove specimen easily after tomor excision. The vinyl bag pulled through cannula site and expeled the specimen. Results: Ovarian tumor can be removed easily without pivot removal method. Conclusion: After excising ovarian tumor, we use a retrieval bag to remove specimen.

Cellular schwannoma is a variant of schwannoma, and is diagnosed as malignant tumor in over one fourth of cases because of its cellularity, mitotic activity and the occasional presence of bone destruction. This tumor is a tumor with low malignant potential and usually occurs in peripheral nervous system, mainly in the posterior mediastinum and retroperitoneal space. But pelvic retroperitoneal cellular schwannoma is very rare. Recently, we experienced a case of pelvic retroperitoneal cellular schwannoma in a 42-year-old woman; in reporting the case a brief review of the literature is included.

To examine the possible involvement of polyamines on the postharvest longevity of cut rose, the endogenous polyamine levels, ethylene production, the effect of polyamine on the postharvest longevity and the change of S-adenosylmethionine decarboxylase (SAMDC) were analyzed in the cut rose flowers and leaves. Putrescine was the major product among analyzed polyamines in flowers and leaves in two different cut rose cultivars, ‘Cardinal’ and ‘Vital’, and rapidly decreased in 3 days. The exogenous spermine among polyamines (putrescine, spermidine, and spermine) could effectively induce the postharvest longevity of the cut roses. In addition, the incubation of the cut flower with water increased both SAMDC activity and spermine content by 2 times, which were followed by ethylene production. The exogenous polyamines suppressed ethylene production or delayed the onset of the ethylene production. These results provide evidence that spermine may be able to increase the longevity of cut rose. Additionally, the increase of the endogenous spermine with water results from enhancing SAMDC activity. Further, we discuss that the increase of spermine content and SAMDC activity may play role as a resistance mechanism against fungal and bacterial infection and the development of transgenic rose overexpressing SAMDC may be a useful tool to improve the current rose cultivars for the commercial usage.

Background: The purpose of this study was two fold; first, to determine the incidence and type of withdrawal movement associated with IV injection of rocuronium in pediatric patients; and second, to determine whether pretreatment with IV lidocaine affects the incidence of movement associated with rocuronium administration in pediatric patients. Methods: Forty-two pediatric patients were randomly he incidence and type of withdrawal movement associated with

The purpose of the present study is to estimate the ecological instream flow for conservation and restoration of fish habitat in running water ecosystem which has very important status for stream environment. Estimation of the ecological instream flow in the present study was carried out by application of a two-dimensional depth averaged model of river hydrodynamics, River2D model. It can model fish habitat in natural streams and rivers and assess the quality of physical habitat accoriding to the species preferences for habitat suitability. Zacco platypus and Zacco temmincki were selected as target fish species in the study area of the Seomjin river. The Habitat Suitability Criteria (HSC) developed by Sung et al. (2005) were used for target fish species, life stages and habitat conditions in the study. Weighted usable area (WUA) was computed by the River2D model considering preferences of target fish species for velocity, depth, and channel substrate. The result revealed that the ecological instream flow of 10.0 m3/s is needed to maintain the target fish habitat at each life stage in the river.

Objective: Pneumomediastinum (PnM), a rare complication of dermatomyositis and polymyositis (DM/PM), is sporadic and has an unclear pathogenesis. PnM is almost always associated with interstitial lung disease (ILD), and is a poor prognostic factor in inflammatory myositis patients. We studied the prevalence of PnM in Korean DM/PM and its clinical significance. Methods: We retrospectively studied the medical records of 161 patients diagnosed with DM/PM meeting Bohan-Peter`s criteria at Hanyang University Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases from 1995 to 2010. We collected following findings; demographic data, diagnosis, lung involvement, cause of death, and duration from diagnosis to death. Results: One hundred nineteen patients (73.9%) were DM and 42 patients (26.1%) were PM. Eighty three patients (51.6%) developed ILD at diagnosis or during follow up. Eighteen patients (11.2%) died because of ILD aggravation, infection, or malignancy. The mean duration from diagnosis to death was 11.5 months, with 10 patients (6.2%) dying from from ILD aggravation but none with spontaneous PnM. 6 patients (3.7%) presented with PnM, and it was associated with ILD worsening in all cases. PnM resolved with O2 inhalation, corticosteroids, and/or immunosuppressive agents after 11 weeks (mean) of therapy Conclusion: PnM is rare but associates with DM and aggravation of ILD. PnM does not usually cause fatalities and can be cured by appropriate therapy.
