      • Two new records of the genus Nola Leach, 1815 (Lepidoptera: Nolidae, Nolinae) from Laos

        The genus Nola (Nolidae, Nolinae) was established by Leach (1815), with the Noctua palliola Denis & Schiffermüller, 1775 (a junior subjective synonym of Phalaena cucullatella Linnaeus, 1758) from Vienna, Austria. Nola comprises over 200 species: Africa and western Palearctic approximately described 100 speices (Hacker et al., 2012); Oriental and Eastern Palearctic regions have over 100 species (László et al., 2010; Sasaki et al., 2011; Kononenko and Pinratana, 2013). Two species of the genus Nola Leach; Nola euryzonata (Hampson, 1900) and Nola lucidalis (Walker, 1865), reported for the first time in Laos. Illustrations of adults and genitalia of all the examined species are provided.

        PCR을 이용한 국내시장에 유통중인 유전자재조합 콩 및 가공식품의 모니터링

        본 연구에서는 PCR을 이용하여 국내시장에 유통중인 원료콩과 가공식품에 epsps 또는 pat 유전자가 삽입된 유전자재조합 콩(GMS)의 사용여부를 모니터링하였다. 이러한 GMS의 검출을 위해 3쌍의 primer set을 제작하였고, 각각의 primer들은 GMS에 삽입된 유전자와 특이적으로 반응하여 PCR산물을 생성하였다. 2001년 표시제가 시행되기 이전에 생산된 총 가공식품과 이후의 제품에 대해 각각 모니터링을 수행하였으며, 표시제 이전에 생산된 제품의 경우 대부분의 미국산 원료에서 esps가 삽입된 GMS가 검출되었으나, 표시제 이후에는 검출되지 않았다. A method using PCR was developed for the monitoring of genetically modified soybean (GMS) and GMS derived foods utilized in the market. We designed 3 pairs of specific oligonucleotide primers based on epsps and pat inserted in GMS and ferritin gene as internal standards. Template DNAs isolated from soybean and processed foods were used for multiplex PCR with 3 primer sets. PCR, used with specific primer sets for GMS detection, showed the amplified DNA fragments with GMS template DNA. In this study, GMS containing epsps was detected from soy processed foods manufactured before GM food labeling system, however, GMS containing epsps or pat was not detected from soy processed foods manufactured after GM food labeling system.

        GC/NPD를 이용한 다성분 잔류농약의 동시분석

        Pesticides were extracted from samples with 70% acetone and methylene chloride in order, and then cleaned up via open-column chromatography apparatus packed with fiorisil, and finally analyzed simultaneously the organophosphorus pesticides using GC/NPD, Ultra-2 and Ultra-1 fused silica capillary columns were used to separate and identify the products. Recovery of most analytes from soybean sample, taken from pesticide residues well, was greater than(80%) for all except(6) analytes. This method can simultaneously determine multiple pesticides with a high degree of accuracy and precision.

      • 비만 여성을 대상으로 한 해조류 추출물의 국부처치와 운동 병행을 통한 지방분해 효과의 임상적 검정

        This study was carried out to test the body fat breakdown during topical seaweed extract treatment and in combination with the aerobic exercise. Of 20 female obesity subjects, ten treated a cream types of seaweed extract(control group) and ten treated a placebo cream(placebo group). Topical treatment of each sample was designed for 4 weeks, and treated with 2 times a day about 10ml on the abdomen and the thigh, respectively. All subjects were participated aerobic dance half hour a day and four times a week. After 4 weeks of topical treatment and exercise, they were measured body fat, skinfold thickness, body circumference. Then venous blood samples were taken and analyzed blood cells, serum enzymes, and serum lipids. There were reduction of body weight, % of body fat, antebrachium, brachium, chest, waist, thigh circumference and abdomen thickness between pre and post treatment in both group. Especially, body weight and % of body fat significantly reduced in the subjects treating the seaweed extract than those treating the placebo. There were significant decrement in total cholesterol and LDL whereas increment in HDL and TBIL in the control group, but no significant difference in the placebo group. In conclusion, there were 7.6% of body fat reduction during 4 weeks of aerobic exercise and 21% of body fat reducement in combination of topical seaweed treatment and exercise, respectively. These results suggest that the topical treatment of seaweed extract should be very effective for fat breakdown. Especially, the body fat breakdown maximized in the combination with the topical seaweed extracts treatment and the aerobic exercise.

      • 비만의 예방과 치료를 위한 영양과 운동처방

        1. Obesity is an excessively increased state of total body fat, and it means that body fat is much more than normalcy by exercised 20 % in men and 30% in women. The causes of obesity are genetic body, environment, lack of exercise, meal pattern, psychological and social factor. And, obesity increased the risk of body unbalance and disease. Obese individual has a more and larger adipocytes fat cell than normal individual. And the number of adipocytes fat cell increases 4 times between 1∼22 years old. Adipose tissue LPL activity is elevated in obese individual. 2. Obesity promotes the adult-disease and increase the possibility of heart disease, hepatism, Mellitus(diabetes), Hypertension and Arteriosclerosis by 15∼40%. ① As the weight of hypertensive decreases, the blood pressure decreases, on the contrary, as the former increases, the latter increases. ② After decrease of weight, blood plasma tryglyceride becomes rare. ③ obesity induces the Mellitus and has remarkable relation with overweight. ④ By the phenomena of excessive insulin structure in the state of obesity, it was proves that insulin causes insulin resistance and insensitivity 3. Respiratory problems and other diseases are the CO₂ retention problems by the lack of exercise and the occurrence of gouty attacks (in the case of30% above average weight). In men, the higher mortality was for colorectal and prostate cancer, and in women, for endometrial, gallbladder and breast cancer. 4. Because BAT(Brown Adipose Tissue) emits the heat by oxidizing the fat-acid in cell, it has an important role as a regulator of body heat and energy balance. And, it seems that BAT in intimately associated with obesity through the weight regulation. 5. The therapeutic use of exercise to reverse obesity has been widely hailed. Exercise strengthens, softens the muscles and increases the chemical action and metabolism. Weight regulation by drugs has to be accompanied by metabolism and dietary management. The strength of exercise has to be maintained 80% of maximum pulse frequency, the duration of exercise has to be sustained 15∼20minutes after 3 minutes of warming up. It is recommended that 3∼6 times of exercise a week is suitable

        장기 이식 환자에서 Voriconazole 과 Cyclosporine 또는 Tacrolimus의 상호작용

        Abstract: In organ transplant patients, the opportunity of fungi infections such as invasive aspergillosis increase by use of immunosuppresant drugs and voriconazole is recommended as primary treatment drug. When voriconazole is administered with cyclosporine(CsA) or tacrolimus(FK506), caution about increment of blood CsA or FK506 concentrations that caused by the change of CYP3A4 activity is required but few domestic cases of interaction were reported yet, The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of voriconazole on the blood CsA or FK506 concentrations in transplant recipients and the factors of recipients that have an effect on the results. 25 transplant recipients who were administered voriconazole with CsA or FK506 from January 1 of 2006 to August 17 of 2008 in Asan Medical Center were objects (12 patients on CsA coadministration arm - 9 males, 3 females; 41~62years;2 liver, 2 kidney, 3 bone marrow, 5 heart transplant recipients, and 13 on FK506 coadministration arm - 7 males, 6 females;26~65years; 10 liver, 2 kidney, 1 heart transplant recipients). Blood CsA or FK506 concentrations before and after coadministration of voriconazole, and maximum concentration in one month from the first day of coadministration were monitored retrospectively. In most cases CsA or FK506 were administered as recommended doses regardless of coadministration of voriconazole, and blood concentration increased from 239.42±126. 77ng/ml to maximum 411.92±225. 76ng/ml in CsA coadministration arm(p=0.003), and from 7.72±2.79ng/ml to maximum 19.16±9.35ng/ml in FK506 coadministration arm(p=0.003). Gender, age, and the kind of transplant organ did not affect to the change of blood concentration in both two arms. In consequences, administration of voriconazole could affect on the blood CsA or FK506 concentration, and in cases of administra tion of voriconazole in transplant recipients treated with CsA or FK506, close monitoring and dose adjustment is needed.

        본 연구에서는 컴퓨터 프로그램을 학습에 적용함으로써 학생들의 흥미도와 학습 효과를 알아보았다. 컴퓨터 프로그램을 적용함에 있어서 중학교 3학년 과학 '대기 오염' 단원을 선택하였으며, 수업 후에 성취도 검사와 설문지를 통하여 흥미도와 학습 효과를 조사하였다. 조사 결과는 학교에서 사용하는 컴퓨터의 처리 속도가 느리고 단색화면임에도 불구하고 컴퓨터와의 상호작용이 가능함으로 인해 컴퓨터 프로그램을 활용한 수업을 받은 학생들이 다른 시청각 매체를 이용해 학습한 학생들에 비해 흥미도와 학습효과 면에서 더욱 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. This study is designed to find out the effects, degree of interests and attitudes in students' learning through the practical applications of computer program. We selected 'The Air Pollution' part in the 3rd year of middle school science as the object of the computer program application. After this class, we checked the effects and degree of interests for learning through achievement tests and questionnaires for the lesson. The results of the research are as followings. The class led by computer is more effective for students' learning by the ability of interactions between computers and students than other class led by audio-visual methods though the computers at school are slow at the processing speed and for Mono style.

      • PDLC의 상 변환 특성

        Phase separated liquid crystal in PDLC(polymer dispersed liquid crystal) has a characteristic behavior of alignment by the external electric field. There are three kinds of methods for fabrication of PDLCs, PIPS(polymerization induced phase separation), TIPS(thermally induced phase separation),and SIPS(solvent induced phase separation). We have made PDLC samples by using the TIPS method and studied the characteristics of phase separation, We have used 5CB(K15), 8CB(K24), and 10CB(K30) as liquid crystal, and PMMA and PVEM as polymer. Phase separation characteristics according to the rate of temperature cooling were observed by a polarization microscope, and quantitatively measured by light scattering method.

      • 히스토아크릴을 이용한 십이지장 궤양 출혈의 지혈 후 발생한 급성췌장염

        Upper gastrointestinal bleeding is common and potentially life threatening medical emergency. Emergency endoscopy is the first choice of diagnostic and treatment measure for patients with active upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Histoacryl should be considered a second-line treatment modality when conventional treatments were failed. However, it might cause several complications. Herein, we report a case of acute pancreatitis developed after histoacryl injection therapy for active duodenal ulcer bleeding. A 71-year-old man was admitted with melena and hematemesis. On emergency endoscopy, a 2 cm sized active ulcer with bleeding from an exposedvessel was seen at the duodenal bulb. Attempts to arrest the bleeding with hemoclipping and submucosal epinephrine injection were tried, but failed. We changed the method to endoscopic histoacryl injection, and obtained hemostasis immediately. A few hourslater, after successful hemostasis, patient complained diffuse abdominal pain. Ultrasonography revealed hyperechoic heterogenous diffuse pancreatic enlargement and right pararenal space fluid collection, this ultrasonographic findings and elevated serum pancreatic enzymes are compatible with acute pancreatitis.
