A Comparison of Lyophilized Amniotic Membrane with Cryopreserved Amniotic Membrane for the Reconstruction of Rabbit Corneal Epithelium

Many researchers have employed cryopreserved amniotic membrane (CAM) in the treatment of a severely damaged cornea, using corneal epithelial cells cultured on an amniotic membrane (AM). In this study, two Teflon rings were made for culturing the cells on the LAM and CAM, and were then used to support the AM, which is referred to in this paper as an Ahn's AM supporter. The primary corneal epithelial cells were obtained from the limbus, using an ex-plantation method. The corneal epithelium could be reconstructed by culturing the third­passage corneal epithelial cells on the AM. A lyophilized amniotic membrane (LAM) has a higher rate of graft take, a longer shelf life, is easier to store, and safer, due to gamma irradiation, than a (AM. The corneal epithelium reconstructed on the LAM and (AM, supported by the two­Teflon rings, was similar to normal corneal epithelium. However, the advantages of the LAM over that of the (AM make the former more useful. The reconstruction model of the corneal epithelium, using AM, is considered as a good in vitro model for transplantation of cornel epithelium into patients with a severely damaged cornea.

Reconstruction of Rabbit Corneal Epithelium on Lyophilized Amniotic Membrane Using the Tilting Dynamic Culture Method

<P>Abstract: </P><P>Rabbit corneal epithelium was reconstructed using tilting dynamic culture with a self-manufactured, amniotic membrane (AM) supporter and a lyophilized amniotic membrane (LAM). Rabbit corneal epithelial (RCE) cells were cultured and cryopreserved after isolation from the limbus. The second- and third-passage RCE cells were plated onto the epithelial side of the LAM of Ahn's AM supporter. Two days later, the air–liquid interface culture was maintained with third-passage RCE cells for 6 days and second-passage corneal epithelial cells for 9 days. The average viability of thawed RCE cells, assessed using trypan blue dye exclusion, was 77.42%. The reconstructed corneal epithelium was characterized by histological (hematoxylin and eosin) and immunohistochemical staining (proliferating cell nuclear antigen) for light microscopy, and by reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction, glucose assay, and transmission electron microscopy. The basal layer of the reconstructed corneal epithelium was well formed, and the epithelium was tightly constructed due to the increase in cell proliferation and differentiation caused by the tilting dynamic culture, as opposed to static culture. Tilting dynamic culture was useful for the reconstruction of the epithelium using easily damaged epithelial cells and resulted in more stratum cell layers. Moreover, cytokeratin (CK3) mRNA expression in tilting dynamic cultured third-passage RCE cells seeded onto AM was greater than in static cultured third-passage RCE cells. The morphology of the reconstructed corneal epithelium on LAM by tilting dynamic culture for 9 days resembled that of the skin epidermis. This was thought to be because the tilting dynamic culture not only accelerated the proliferation and differentiation of cells by physical or mechanical stimulation, but also ensured that the supply of medium was delivered to the basal cells more efficiently. Thus, the reconstruction of the corneal epithelium using LAM and tilting dynamic culture was considered to be a good in vitro model for autologous or allogeneic transplantation of corneal epithelium and skin epidermis in patients with damaged epithelia. </P>

Various koji were prepared by fungi isolated from traditional nuruk and their quality characteristics were investigated. Acidity and saccharification power of their koji were ranged in 5.0~6.8 and 128sp~241sp. Nine fungi which were showed good quality and sensory evaluation were identified by analysis of their nucleotide sequences with PCR-amplified 18S rDNA internal transcribed spacer-1(ITS-1) and ITS-4 genes. Among them, six strains were identified as Aspergillus oryzae and the other strains were identified as Mycocladus corymbiferus, Rhizopus oryzae, Lichtheimia corymbifera.

서울의 Penicillinase Producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae 발생빈도(1998)

In recent years, gonorrhea has been pandemic and remains one of the most common STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of Penicillinase Producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae(PPNG), we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the Venereal Disease Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by menas of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. In 1998, 93 strians of N. genorrhoeae were isolated, among which 60(64.5%) were PPNG. The prevalence of PPNG in Seoul, which had been decreased to 39% in 1996 after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, is increased to 64.5% in 1998.

사회실천의 준칙과 판단, 그리고 평가 : 王夫之의 社會政治思想을 중심으로

'사회적 실천'은 '개인의 도덕수양'과 다르다. 그것에는 반드시 지켜져야 하는 총칙, 즉 무엇보다도 중요한 절대가치가 있다. 그리고 이런 총칙에 따라 실천할 수 있는 방법들이 존재한다. 모든 사회실천은 이런 총칙과 방법들에 근거해서 수행되어야 한다. 그리고 우리는 그것을 분명한 기준을 갖고 올바로 판단, 평가해야 한다. 이 글은 이상의 내용을, 왕부지의 사상에 근거하여 서술한 것이다. 원론적이고 추상적이긴 하지만, 모든 사람이 인간다운 행복한 삶을 영위하는 것이 사회실천의 총칙이라는 왕부지의 주장은 만고불변의 진리라고 생각한다. 그리고 그런 총칙을 온전히 실현하기 위해 제시된 방법이나, 실천의 구체적인 내용 및 판단 평가의 기준 또한 우리가 심각하게 고려할만한 가치가 있다고 보여진다. 혹자는 왕부지의 이런 주장은 일반적이고 추상적이기 때문에, 하등의 효과를 얻기 어렵다고 평가절하 할지도 모르겠다. 그러나 철학사상이라는 것이 현실의 문제를 직접적으로 해결하려는 학문이 아니라 그 해결의 이론적 근거를 제공하는 것인 한, 그와 같은 비판은 아무 위협이 되지 않을 것이다. 만일 분명한 이론적 근거를 갖는 원칙들이 정립된다면, 현재 우리가 목도하고 있는 형편없는 수준의 혼란상은 자연스럽게 소별되리라고 확신한다. 'Social practice' is different from personal moral culture. There are general rules that must be kept in the 'Social practice'. That rules are the most important, and have a absolute value. Beside, there are some methods to can practise in the 'Social practice'. Any 'Social practice' have to be performed according to that general rules and methods. And we have to judge of, appraise a 'Social practice' as it is, on keeping distinct criterion. This paper has depicted the above stated contents, basing on Wang Fu-Chih's thoughts. Even though it is so theoretic and abstract, a happy life as a human being, the Wang's assertion of all mankind is an eternal truth. In order to fulfill the general rules perfectly, Wang suggests a series of methods, concrete contents of practice and a base of judgment or valuation. That is so valuable to consider seriously. It is possible that somebody will criticize Wang’s suggestion is abstract to a fault, so is very hard to get a good effect. But, philosophy is not a science to intend to solve a matter of fact, that is the science to give a theoretic base on that solution. If we get the clear base, and the unreasonable confusion that we have been looking recently, will be disappeared.

지하 무선 CDMA 망의 전파 측정 및 Micro BTS의 성능 분석

지하 무선망에서 CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access)시스템의 용량과 품질은 다중 사용자 간섭과 임펄스성 간섭의 영향을 받는다. 그러므로 CDMA 시스템에서는 간섭을 최소화하려는 연구가 필요하다. 최근에는 서비스 영역을 확대하기 위한 방법으로 지하 공간 또는 음영 지역에서 LCX(Leakage Coaxial Cable)가 이용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 지하 무선 CDMA 망의 전파의 세기를 측정하였다. 그리고 측정된 결과를 이용하여 이론적인 Micro BTS의 성능을 분석하였다. 이론적인 BER 해석을 위하여 지하 무선 CDMA 망의 임펄스성 간섭 모델을 제안하고, 측정된 파라미터 값을 이용하여 Micro BTS의 BER 성능을 구하였다. 측정 결과, 지하철이 없을 경우보다 지하철이 운행함에 따라서 임펄스성 간섭이 중대됨을 알 수 있었으며, 단방향 운행보다 양방향 운행에서 임펄스성 간섭이 더욱 증가하였다. 수치 계산을 통하여 임펄스성 간섭의 발생 시간율과 다중 사용자 수에 따라 Micro BTS의 BER 성능이 주로 열화됨을 알 수 있었다. The capacity and quality of CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) system are affected by multi user interference and impulsive interference in the underground wireless network. Therefore, it is essential to minimize the interference in CDMA system. Recently, LCX (Leaxial Cable) is used to expand service area in the underground area or shadow region. In this paper, the propagation of underground wireless CDMA network is measured. And then, using the measured data the theoretical performance of Micro BTS(Base Transmitter Station) is analyzed. For theoretical BER analysis, the impulsive interference model in the underground wireless CDMA network is proposed and the BER performance of Micro BTS is obtained by using the measured data. From the measurement results, it is found that the impulsive interference increases in the presence of passing train than the absence of passing train. Also, it is known that more interference appears in the presence of crossing two way train than in the presence of passing one way directional train. From the numerical results, the BER performance of Micro BTS is to be mainly degraded by the occurrence rate of impulsive interference and the number of multiple users.

The purpose of this study to show the theoretical base about coaches Job stress. It has been 70 years to pay scientifical attention about theme of a stress. If we think about the real situation how a stress could be brought up to the study of the stress in these days. We shouldn't neglect to care about this field and a proper management of the job stress can hod sway over success or failure of sports organization. Actually, when we consider about going through as enormous loss of expense or structural energy exhaustion in a general social system including sports organization, an efficient management of stress can be as important pending bill of the system. However it is not only that a coach experience very various causes of stress but also has an complicated response about an individual stress. Therefore, We should be based on the strategy of stress control about showing in the social structure and the business management also look into the job stress as response, stimulation and person-environment interrelationship. It is necessary to find out the cause of stress that a coach is faced and possible to increase the satisfaction, achievement or position of a coach and the efficiency of sports system.

6세 이하의 어린이에서 Streptococcus mutans와 Streptococcus sobrinus의 분포에 관한 연구

Mutans streptococci는 치아우식증과 관련이 있다고 보고 되고 있으며, 이 streptococci 종 중에서 S. mutans나 S. sobrinus가 인간의 치아우식증에서 가장 일반적으로 나타난다. 치아우식증에서 이 세균종의 분포는 인종과 지역에 따라 다양하다. 본 연구에서는 2-6세인 52명의 치아우식증 환자에서 비우식부위와 우식부위로부터 치태를 채취하여 DNA를 추출한 dex와 gtf 유전자에 기초한 S. mutana와 S. sobrinus에 특이한 primer를 제작한 후 PCR을 시행하여 S. mutans와 S. sobrinus의 분포도를 조사하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 어린이 치아우식증 환자에서 S. mutans나 S. sobrinus가 발견된 어린이는 37명 (71.2%)이었다. 2. 이들 어린이 중에서, S. mutans 또는 S. sobrinus가 비우식 부위에서만 발견된 어린이는 3명(5.8%), 우식 부위에서만 발전된 어린이는 22명(42.3%), 두 부위 모두에서 발견된 어린이는 12명(23.1%)이었다. 3. S. mustans나 S. sobrinus가 나타난 비우식부위 치태는 15개 (28.8%), 우식부위 치태는 34개(65.4%)였다. 4. 비우식부위의 경우 S. mutans만 출현한 어린이는 52명 중 8명(15.4%), S. sobrinus만 출현한 어린이는 6명(11.5%), 두 세균종이 같이 출현한 어린이는 1명 (1.9%)이었다. 5. 우식부위에서 S. mutans 출현한 어린이는 52명 중 24명(46.2%), S. sobrinus만 출현한 어린이는 2명(3.8%), 두 세균종이 같이 출현한 어린이는 8명 (15.4%)이었다. 6. S. mutans는 gtf에 기초한 primer, S. sobrinus는 dex에 기초한 primer가 PCR에서 효과적으로 각각의 세균을 검출하였다. 이상의 결과로 미루어 우리나라 어린이의 경우 치아우식증은 MS와 밀접한 연관성이 있으며, MS중에서도 S. mutans가 중요하다고 판단된다. 한편 S. mutans와 S. Sobrinus의 동반출현은 치아우식증과 더욱 밀접한 관련이 있는 것으로 보인다. Mutans streptococci have been reported to be implicated in dental caries. Of these streptococcal species, Streptcoccus mutans and Streptococcus sobrinus are most commonly found in human dental caries. Prevalence of these bacterial species in dental caries is found to be varied in different races and countries. Therefore, importance of these bacteria in dental caries remains to be determined. The present study was performed to detect S. mutans and S. sobrinus in 52 Korean children with dental caries between 2 to 6 years of age. For the study, plaque samples were collected from caries-active(CA) and caries-free(CF) teeth of each subject. DNA was extracted from the plaques and amplified by polymerase chain reaction(PCR) using primers corresponding to dex and gtf genes. The results obtained from the study were as follows: 1. Of 52 children, 37 children (71.2%) were found to harbor S. mutans and/or S. sobrinus. 2. Of the MS-infected 37 children, 3 children (5.8%) harbored S. mutans and/or S. sobrinus in the CF plaques only, 22 children (42.3%) in the CA plaques only and 12 children (23.1%) in both CF and CA plaques. 3. S. mutans and/or S. sobrinus were detected in 34 CA plaques (65.4%), while 15 in CF plaques (28.8%). 4. In the case of CF plaques, 8 plaques (15.4%) were observed to harbor S. mutans only, 6 plaques (11.5%) to harbor S. sobrinus only and 1 plaque (1.9%) to harbor both species. 5. Of CA plaques, 24 plaques (46.2%) were detected to have S. mutans only, 2 plaques (3.8%) to have S. sobrinus only and 8 plaques (15.4%) to have both species. 6. In comparison with the efficiency of two different primers for PCR, it was found that the primer based on gtf gene was more effective in detecting S. mutans, while the primer corresponding to dex gene was better for S. sobrinus. Overall results suggest that MS appears to be important in dental caries of the Korean children, and S. mutans is more closely associated with than dental caries as compared to S. sobrinus.

The purpose of this study is processing of existence and development about sociology of sport. Especially, the problem of sociology of sport using by the pursuit of learning under the viewpoint of progress. These problems can be represented below: First, the development of word sociology of sport depends on the condition of economic. For instance the case of North America and Japan are speciality stage. on the other hand our case is cluster stage. It seems to me that what is needed in our day is to recognize that improvement requires constant faithfulness neverending responding responsibility. Second, There are many field of sociology of sport in the point of research such as socialization, subculture but unbalanced study. However we need to develop with variety interests for improvement of life worthy of man and have to find solution about poor social situation. Third, The theory of sociology of sport has developed without the theory of sociology that is why it was only conserve of theory for structural-functionalism. However, we need more research with the theory of sociology. Fourth, we should have responsibility between quantitative and qualitative methodology. This shows that between the two original basket. the qualitative and the quantitative is an intermediate basket, in which all those questions live which cannot easily be fitted into the other two. These questions are of the most diverse, nature, some appear to be questions of fact, others of value, Now we must be remember to applicate qualitative methodology. Fifth, finally more on to structure, sociology of sport have physical education, elite sports and mass sport. And, Organization have to integration for being flooded with other institution for movement of quality of life.
