This study attempts to find an optimized amount of soy sauce, sugar and boiling time for the best soy-sauce-based Teriyaki sauce, using the Response Surface Methodology (RSM), The following is the summary of the study, The amount of soy sauce, sugar and boiling time were set as independent variables to study the sensory characteristics of soy sauce, As a result, significant differences in appearance, taste and overall acceptance of soy sauce were observed, In appearance, boiling time was the most effective factor, followed by sugar and soy sauce, The taste was affected most by sugar, followed by boiling time and soy sauce in order, Overall acceptance, ranked in ascending order, is as follows: soy sauce, boiling time and sugar, So based on the study, the best results are: soy sauce 1,182.76 g - 1,210.11 g, sugar 843.97 g - 851.17 g, boiling time 174.49 mins - 181.46 mins, Among them, optimum points are: soy sauce 1,196.44 g, sugar 847.57 g, boiling time 177.98 mins.
갈조류 지충으로부터 분리한 3개의 Norisoprenoids 화합물

우리나라 연안에 널리 분포하고 있는 지충이로부터 3개의 norisoprenoid 화합물들인 (+)-epiloliolide (1), (-)-loliolide (2), apo-9''-fucoxanthinone (3)을 칼럼크로마토그래피와 역상 HPLC를 사용하여 분리$\cdot$정제하였다. 이들 분리한 화합물 1, 2 및 3은 갈조류인 지충이로부터 처음 분리되어 보고하는 것이다. 특히 화합물 1은 비록 육상식물에서 분리된 바 있으나, 해양생물로부터는 처음 분리되어 보고하는 것이다. 분리된 화합물의 구조는 $1^H$ COSY, NOESY, HMQC 그리고 HMBC와 같은 이차원적인 NMR 분광학적인 실험을 이용하여 문헌치와 비교하여 확인하였다. From Sargassum thunbergii which is widely distributed in coastal area of Korea, three norisoprenoids, (+)-epiloliolide (1), (-)-loliolide (2), and apo-9'-fucoxanthinone (3) were isolated by using column chromatography and reverse-phase HPLC. Compound 1, 2 and 3 were for the first time isolated from the Brown Alga Sargassum thunbergii. Particularly, Compound 1 was for the first time isolated the marine organism although it was reported from the terrestrial plant. Their structures have been determined by extensive 2-D NMR experiments such as $^1H COSY, NOESY, HMQC$, and HMBC and by comparison with the reported data in the literature.
만성 화농성 중이염에 동반된 이진균증 환자 한방 치료 1례

본 연구는 대전대학교 대전한방병원 한방안이비인후 피부과에 만성 화농성 중이염에 동반된 이진균증으로 입원 및 통원 치료를 받은 환자 1례를 보고한다. 본 증례의 환자는 상기 증상으로 한방 단독 치료를 시행한 환자로서 침, 약침, 전침, 뜸, 한약, 사혈, 습식 부항 및 한방 외용제 치료를 시행하였다. 초진 시 호소한 좌측 귀의 소양감, 통증, 이명, 충만감 및 농성 이루는 호전된 상태로 퇴원하였고, 이후 통원 치료를 통하여 잔여 증상의 호전 및 이진균증의 소실도 확인되었다. 본 연구는 이진균증 치료에 일차적으로 적용하는 항진균제의 사용 없이 한방 단독 치료로 호전을 보였다는 점과 항진균 효과를 위해 국소 한방 외용제를 사용하였다는 점에서 이후 이진균증의 한방 치료 효과를 평가하는 추가 연구에 유의미한 자료로 사용될 것으로 사료된다. Objectives : Otomycosis is superficial fungal infection of external auditory canal accompanied with itching, pain, discharge, hearing loss, tinnitus and ear fullness. And chronic inflammation like chronic suppurative otitis media exacerbates otomycosis. The purpose of this study is to report one case of Korean medical treatment for otomycosis with chronic suppurative otitis media. Methods : This study was conducted with one case of otomycosis with chronic suppurative otitis media patient hospitalized in Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology & Dermatology Clinic of Korean medical Hospital. This patient was treated with Korean medical treatment including herbal medicine, acupuncture, pharmacopuncture and venesection. After the treatment, we took picture of external auditory canal by otoscope and evaluated subjective symptoms. Results : After the treatment, this patient had improved condition of external auditory canal and subjective symptoms. Conclusions : This study suggests that Korean medical treatment may be effective for otomycosis with chronic suppurative otitis media.
한방 치료 후 호전된 급성기 양성 발작성 두위성 현훈 치험 3례

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report three cases of Korean medical treatment for acute benign paroxysmal positional vertigo(BPPV). Methods : This study was conducted with three acute benign paroxysmal positional vertigo patients who hospit alized in Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology & Dermatology Clinic of Korean medical Hospital. Three patients were treated with Korean medical treatment including herbal medicine(Banhabaeckchulchunma-tang), acupuncture, p harmacopuncture(Hwangryunhaedok-tang). After treatment, we evaluated subjective symptoms. Results : The results of three patient showed remarkable improvements on subjective symptoms after the treatment. Conclusions : It is considered that Korean medical treatment can be applied to the treatment of BPPV.
진피섬유모세포에서 대복피추출물의 세포외기질 합성 촉진 효과

교원질을 비롯한 세포외기질의 생합성을 통해 피부장력과 탄력 등 피부 특성을 제공하는 진피섬유모세포는 피부노화와 함께 활성이 감소되어 주름 형성의 이유가 된다. 따라서 젊고 건강한 피부를 유지하기 위해서는 진피섬유 모세포의 활성화가 큰 의미를 지닌다. 본 연구에서는 대복피 에탄올추출물이 진피섬유모세포의 세포외기질 합성에 미 치는 영향을 ELISA, Western blot analysis 및 RT-PCR 등의 in vitro 평가법으로 측정하였다. ELISA와 western blot analysis에서 대복피추출물은 제1형 교원질, fibronectin, transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1)의 생성을 촉진시켰 고, RT-PCR에서는 COL1A1, TGF-β1, keratinocyte growth factor (KGF), insulin growth factor (IGF)-1의 유전자 발현 을 증가시켰다. 이상의 결과로부터 대복피추출물은 진피섬유모세포에서 세포외기질의 생성을 촉진시키는 천연소재인 것으로 판단되었다. Dermal fibroblasts produce the many components of the extracellular matrix (ECM) that are needed to maintain connective tissue integrity and repair tissue injuries. This study investigated the effects of Areca catechu extract (ACE) on dermal fibroblast cell activation. Cultured human dermal fibroblasts were treated with ACE, and then ECM production was determined by ELISA, Western blot and RT-PCR. ACE significantly accelerated the production of type 1 collagen, fibronectin, and transforming growth factor (TGF)-β1 by ELISA and type 1 collagen by Western blot assay. ACE also increased the gene expression of COL1A1, TGF-β1, keratinocyte growth factor (KGF) and insulin growth factor (IGF)-1. These results suggest that ACE has the potential to stimulate ECM production and that it might be suitable for maintaining skin texture.
