        야뇨증 환아들의 심리사회적 특성에 대한 다기관 연구 : 행동 및 정서 문제를 중심으로

        Objectives : The aim of this study was to examine the behavioral and emotional problems associated with nocturnal enuresis in Korean children. Methods : Three hundred eighteen children with nocturnal enuresis, together with their parents, completed the Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL), Disruptive Behavior Disorder Scale according to DSM-IV (DBDS), Children's Depression Inventory (CDI), State-Trait Anxiety Inventory for Children (STAIC), and Piers-Harris Children's Self-Concept Scale (PHCSC). Ninety-three normal students were selected as the control group. Results : Compared to the normal control group, the mean scores with regard to the withdrawn, social problems, attention problems, delinquent behavior, aggressive behavior, externalizing problems and total problems profiles were significantly higher in the nocturnal enuresis group according to the CBCL results. The nocturnal enuresis group also scored significantly higher in the ADHD and ODD profiles of the DBDS. The nocturnal enuresis group was more depressed and anxious than the control group according to the results of the CDI and STAI. The mean score of the PHCSC was significantly lower in the nocturnal enuresis group when compared to the normal control group. Conclusion : The results of this study suggest that children with nocturnal enuresis in Korea have clinically relevant behavioral and emotional problems. The findings support the link between nocturnal enuresis and psychopathology in Korean children.

      • 청색광소자용 사파이어웨이퍼 표면 미세가공 변형특성 연구

        The sapphire wafers for blue light emitting devices were manufactured by the implementation of the surface machining technology based on micro-tribology. This process has been performed by grinding, lapping and polishing. The surfaces of sapphire wafers were mechanically affected by residual stress and surface default. This mechanical stress and strain can be cured by thermal annealing process. The sapphire crystalline wafers were annealed at 1100∼1400℃ and then characterized by double crystal X-ray diffraction. The sample showed good quality of crystalline wafer surface with full width at half maximum of 16 arcsec for the 4-hour heat-treatment at 1300℃.

      • Urapidil, Labetalol의 투여가 기관내 삽관시 심혈관계에 미치는 영향

        We have examined the comparative efficacy of small doses of intravenous urapidil and labetalol in blunting hemodynamic response to endotracheal intubation and surgical incision in 30 patients without cardiovascular diseases. After intravenous urapidil 0.2 mg/kg or labetalol 0.2 mg/kg anesthesia was induced with thiopental 5mg/kg. Endotracheal intubation was facilitated by vecuronium 0.15 mg/kg with priming principle and anesthesia was maintained with enflurane and nitrous oxide in oxygen. Systolic, diastolic and mean arterial pressure and heart rate were measured before administration of the drugs, 5 minute after administration, just prior to endotracheal intubation and 1, 3, 5, 10 minute after intubatin. Also the peak blood pressures and heart rate within 10 minutes after surgical incision were measured. Endotracheal intubation and surgical stimulation were associated with significant increases in blood pressures and heart rate in both urapidil and labetalol group. Comparison of the changes in systolic, diastolic, and mean artrial pressures and heart rate between urapidil and labetalol group showed no significant difference except peak systolic pressure after surgical incision. It is concluded that the pressor response to endotracheal intubation and surgical stimulation are not influenced significantly by urapidil 0.2 mg/kg or labetalol 0.2 mg/kg. However, urapidil and labetalol preloading may be similarly effective in the blunting of the increases in blood pressures with larger doses of the durgs during anesthetic induction.

      • 3차원 직육면체 대공간 내에서의 열 및 기류 유동에 관한 연구

        본 연구에서는 대공간 내에서의 열 및 기류 유동 현상을 연구하기 위하여 464×300× 950mm^3크기의 축소 모형으로 아트리움을 제작하였다. 가상 화재를 모사하기 위하여 대공간 하단에 히터를 설치하였으며, 히터의 온도에 따른 대공간 내의 온도분포를 측정하였다. 본 실험에서 얻은 결과는 아트리움과 같은 대공간에서 화재가 발생하였을 경우에 열 및 기류 현상을 해석하기 위한 기초자료 및 열유동 현상을 해석하는 수치해석 프로그램의 계산 결과의 기준 데이터로도 이용될 수 있을 것이다.

        Removal of carbon dioxide by absorption into blended amines: kinetics of absorption into aqueous AMP/HMDA, AMP/MDEA, and AMP/piperazine solutions

        <P>The emissions of anthropogenic carbon dioxide (CO<SUB>2</SUB>) are believed make a significant impact on global climate change. Hence, amine chemical absorption technology has been suggested to separate and recover CO<SUB>2</SUB>. In this study, reaction rate constants between CO<SUB>2</SUB> and blended amines were determined by measuring their absorption rate for CO<SUB>2</SUB>. The experiments were carried out to investigate the characteristics of CO<SUB>2</SUB> absorption by using additional absorbents such as hexamethylenediamine (HMDA), <I>N</I>-methyldiethanolamine (MDEA) or piperazine blended into 2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol (AMP) in an agitated vessel. The absorption rates of CO<SUB>2</SUB> into aqueous blended amine solutions were measured. Additive concentrations of 1, 3, and 5 wt% were added for each 30 wt% AMP solution. The results showed that the addition of HMDA, MDEA or piperazine into AMP increased the absorption rate as compared to AMP alone. Of these additives, HMDA showed the most enhancement in the reaction rate of AMP. The reaction rate constants of HMDA, MDEA and piperazine blended into AMP at 303–343 K were given by <I>k</I><SUB>H</SUB> = 3.84 × 10<SUP>10</SUP>exp(−5361/<I>T</I>), <I>k</I><SUB>M</SUB> = 6.60 × 10<SUP>9</SUP>exp(−4959/<I>T</I>), and <I>k</I><SUB>P</SUB> = 9.09 × 10<SUP>9</SUP>exp(−5058/<I>T</I>), respectively.</P> <P>Graphic Abstract</P><P>The addition of 1, 3, and 5 wt% HMDA, MDEA or piperazine into 30 wt% AMP increased the absorption rate as compared to AMP alone.         Biodegradable micro-sized discoidal polymeric particles for lung-targeted delivery system

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Various types of particle-based drug delivery systems have been explored for the treatment of pulmonary diseases; however, bio-distribution and elimination of the particles should be monitored for better understanding of their therapeutic efficacy and safety. This study aimed to characterize the biological properties of micro-sized discoidal polymeric particles (DPPs) as lung-targeted drug delivery carriers. DPPs were prepared using a top-down fabrication approach and characterized by assessing size and zeta potential. They were labeled with zirconium-89 (<SUP>89</SUP>Zr), and bio-distribution studies and PET imaging were performed for 7 days after intravenous administration. Their hydrodynamic size was 2.8 ± 6.1 μm and average zeta potential was −39.9 ± 5.39 mV. At doses of 5, 12.5, and 25 mg/kg, they showed no acute toxicity in nude mice. Desferrioxamine (DFO)-functionalized <SUP>89</SUP>Zr-labeled DPPs gave a decay-corrected radiochemical yield of 82.1 ± 0.2%. Furthermore, <SUP>89</SUP>Zr-DPPs, from chelate-free labeling methods, showed a yield of 48.5 ± 0.9%. Bio-distribution studies and PET imaging showed <SUP>89</SUP>Zr-DFO-DPPs to be mainly accumulated in the lungs and degraded within 3 d of injection. However, <SUP>89</SUP>Zr-DFO-DPPs showed significantly low uptake in the bone. Overall, our results suggested micro-sized DPPs as promising drug delivery carriers for the targeted treatment of various pulmonary diseases.</P>

        Central angle effect on connection behavior of steel box beam-to-circular column

        This paper presents the experimental results on the strength behavior and failure modes of box beam-to-circular column connections in steel piers. Previous research introduced parameters such as joint central angles, extension of horizontal stiffeners, and use of equivalent web depth, which ignored strength behavior and failure modes of box beam-to-circular column connections. The use of equivalent web depth $d_2$ is not reasonable when central angle ${\alpha}$ is closer to $90^{\circ}$; therefore, a monotonic loading test has been performed for eight connection specimens. From the test, it is identified that the connection with the circular column is stronger than the connection with the box-sectioned substitution column. Also, the strength of the beam-to-column connections with horizontal stiffeners is higher than the one of the no column stiffeners. The concrete-filled effect of box beam-to-circular column connection is also investigated, and the experimental yield strength of the connection is compared with the theoretical one. Also, more a reasonable equivalent web depth is suggested. The failure modes of connection are clearly defined.

        Evaluation of shear lag parameters for beam-to-column connections in steel piers

        The paper presents shear lag parameters for beam-to-column connections in steel box piers. Previous researches have analyzed beam-to-column connections in steel piers using a shear lag parameter ${\eta}_o$ obtained from a simple beam model, which is not based on a reasonable design assumption. Instead, the current paper proposes a cantilever beam model and has proved the effectiveness through theoretical and experimental studies. The paper examines the inaccuracy of the previous researches by estimating the effective width, the width-span length ratio L/b, and the sectional area ratio S of a cantilever beam. Two different shear lag parameters are defined using the cantilever model and the results are compared each other. The first type of shear lag parameter ${\eta}_c$ of a cantilever beam is derived using additional moments from various stress distribution functions while the other shear lag parameter ${\eta}_{eff}$ of a cantilever beam is defined based on the concept of the effective width. An evaluation method for shear lag stresses has been investigated by comparing analytical stresses with test results. Through the study, it could be observed that the shear lag parameter ${\eta}_{eff}$ agrees with ${\eta}_c$ obtained from the $2^{nd}$ order stress distribution function. Also, it could be observed that the shear lag parameter ${\eta}_c$ using the $4^{th}$ order stress distribution function almost converges to the upper bound of test results.
