This 10 months old female was admitted to Ok Cheon St. Mary's Hospital on Aug., 1974, because of growth failure, multiple bony anomalies of the extremities and blue sclera. She was a product of 3rd baby with spontaneous normal delivery at home. During pregnancy her mother had no history of drug ingestion and exposure of radiation and also family problems were not detected. During admission, ophthalmologic findings showed blue sclera, however, hearing disturbances could not be evaluated and laboratory tests were within normal limits except for anemia. X-ray findings revealed multiple healed fractures with bowing of the left forearm, bowing of the femurs, tibias and fibulas, wormian bone and egg-shell appearance of the skull. The diagnosis was established by above clinical findings and multiple bony fractures on x-ray pictures and then this case was presented with a brief review of the literature.
Dual Functional Gd(III)-DOTA Liposomes for Cancer Therapy and Diagnosis as a Theragnostic Carrier

Development of dual functional liposome has been studied for cancer theragnostics. Therefore, we focused on ultrasound-sensitive liposomes with doxorubicin (DOX) and gadolinium (Gd) as a theragnostic carrier having a potential for cancer therapy and diagnosis. In this study, Gd(III)-DOTA-modified sonosensitive liposomes (GL) was developed using chemically synthesized Gd(III)-DOTA-DPPE lipid. Sonosensitivity of GL to 1 MHz ultrasound induced 25% of DOX release. The relaxivities (r1) of GL were 7.33-10.34 mM−1s−1, which was higher than that of MR-bester®. Intracellular delivery of DOX from GL by ultrasound irradiation was evaluated according to ultrasound intensity, resulting in increase of uptake of DOX released from ultrasoundtriggered GLs compared to GL3 or Doxil® without ultrasound. Taken together, this study shows that the paramagnetic and sonosensitive liposomes, GL, is a novel and highly effective delivery system for drug with the potential for broad applications in human disease.
Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-acrylamide)로 변형된 온도민감성 리포좀

본 연구에서는 외부온열 온도$(~40^{\circ}C)$에서 항암약물(doxorubicin)이 방출되는 온도민감성 리포좀에 대하여 연구하였다. 온도민감성 리포좀은 외부온열온도에서 하한임계용액온도의 성질을 나타내는 N-isopropylacrylamide (NIP-AAm)와 Acrylamide(AAm)의 합성고분자에 의하여 변형되었다. 변형된 리포좀으로부터 약물(doxorubicin)의 방출은 온도와 시간의 변화에 따라서 형광강도를 측정하여 결정하였다. Poly(NIPAAm-co-AAm) copolymer에 의하여 변형된 리포좀으로부터 약물(doxorubicin)의 방출은 Poly(NIPAAm-co-AAm) copolymer가 온열온도 범위$(~40{\pm}2^{\circ}C)$에서 적절한 전이를 나타내기 때문에 증가하였다. 또한, 리포좀으로부터 약물의 방출은 5분 이내에 완료되었고, 변형된 리포좀의 크기는 120~170 nm 이었다. 본 연구에서는 온도에 의하여 제어 할 수 있는 온도민감성 리포좀을 제조하였다. 이것은 온도 제어에 따른 종양 표적화에 대한 약물전달시스템에서 활용 될 수 있을 것이다. This study has investigated the temperature-sensitive liposomes, which release anticancer drug(doxorubicin) at the hyperthermia temperature$(~40^{\circ}C)$. The temperature-sensitive liposomes were modified with a copolymers of N-isopropylacrylamide(NIPAAm) and acrylamide(AAm), which exhibit a lower critical solution temperature (LCST) at the hyperthermia temperature. The release of doxorubicin from the modified liposomes was determined by measuring the fluorescence intensity with changing temperature and time. The release of doxorubicin from liposomes modified with poly(NIPAAm-co-AAm) copolymer was increased significantly, because poly(NIPAAm-co-AAm) could undergo the conformational transition in the narrow hyperthermia temperature region$(~40{\pm}2^{\circ}C)$. Moreover, we observed that doxorubicin released from liposomes within 5 minutes, and the size of modified liposomes was 120~170 nm. In this study, we have prepared temperature-sensitive liposomes which could be controlled by temperature. They can be applied in the field of a drug delivery system for tumor targeting by temperature control.
타원곡선 상에서 겹선형사상을 이용한 ID 기반 암호시스템

본 연구의 목적은 타원곡선 상에서 겹선형사상을 이용한 새로운 ID기반 암호 시스템을설계하고 구현하는 것이다. 우리가 제안한 암호 프로토콜은 기존의 ID기반 암호 시스템보다 연산의 수와 매개변수의 개수를 줄인 효율적인 암호시스템이며 윈도우 환경에서 실행되도록 구현하였다 . 또한 이 암호 프로토콜의 안정성은 BOH 문제로 귀착된다 .

This paper presented a case of congenital hypothyroidism in a 11 month old male with an episods of feeding difficulty, large protruded tongue, frequent URI, delayed dentition, mouth breathing and frequent constipation which were progressively worse. On admission, his height was 71cm which was 25 percentile. His face was puffy, edematous and skin was dry and scaly. His mouth was open and had enlarged protruded tongue and no dentition. He had moderate umbilical hernia and constipation. T4 level was 2, 4,ug. On X-ray examination, primary ossification centers were not seen. Desiccated thyroid, 30mg, was given once daily by mouth with increments of 10mg every 2 weeks for 4 months. 8 weeks following initiation of treatment, clinical manifestions were improved and T4 level was 6.25,ug. 4 month after treatment, T4 level was 7.4,ug. Ossification centers were showed and bony growing was prominent. His general condition was compatible with normal his age. A brief review of literature was made.
