구조활성상관(QSAR)에 의한 피마엽 추출물의 HIV-1 효소억제활성인자 예측

Objectives : For the purpose of developing new anti-HIV agents from natural sources, the extracts of Ricinus communis were tested for their inhibitory effects on essential enzymes reverse transcriptase (RT), protease and alpha-glucosidase. Inhibition activity of major compounds of Ricinus communis were predicted from quantitative structure activity relationships (QSAR) in silico. Methods and Results : In the anti-HIV-1 RT using enzyme-linked oligonucleotide sorbent assay (ELOSA) method, water and methanol extracts (100ug/ml) of Ricinus communis showed strong activity of 94.2% and 82.7%, respectively. In the HIV-1 protease and alpha-glucosidase inhibition assay, neither water nor methanol extracts of Ricinus communis inhibited the activity of the enzyme to cleave any substrates as oligopeptides and oligosaccharides. Conclusions : We found that for these samples it is possible that the inhibition of the RT in vitro is due to the secondary metabolites of Ricinus communis such as ricinine and quercetin. It would beof great interest to identify the compounds which are responsible for this inhibition, since all therapeutically useful agents up to date are RT inhibitors.
도광판의 자동결함검출을 위한 템플릿 검사와 블록 매칭 방법

In this paper, two methods based on the use of morphology and pattern matching prior to detect classified defects automatically on the back light unit which is a part of display equipments are proposed. One is the template check method which detects small size defects by using closing and opening method, and the other is the block matching method which detects big size defects by comparing with four regions of uniform blocks. The TC algorithm also can detect defects on the non-uniform pattern of BLU by using revised Otsu method. The proposed method has been implemented on the automatic defect detection system we developed and has been tested image data of BLU captured by the system. 본 논문에서는 자동결함검출 방법으로 도광판의 다양한 패턴에 나타나는 돌출, 함몰, 점 등과 같은 작은 결함들을 검출하기 위해 모폴로지의 닫힘, 열림 방법을 이용하는 템플레이트 검사 방법을 사용하였고, 얼룩, 스크래치와 같은 큰 결함을 검출하기 위해 영상에서 격자와 같은 일정한 블록을 형성하여 각 블록을 비교하여 결함을 찾는 블록매칭 방법을 사용하였다. 또한 일정한 패턴이 없는 도광판의 결함에 대해 결함을 검출할 수 있는 개선된 오쯔 방법을 이용하였다. 이 알고리즘을 적용한 결과 결함 검출에 좋은 성능이 있음을 보여준다. 제안된 알고리즘은 자체 개발한 장비에서 실제 도광판의 영상을 얻어 테스트 하였다.

The aim of this new statement is to provide comprehensive and timely evidence-based recommendations on stroke management for clinical practitioners. Many countries are already well engaged in developing and releasing their own clinical practice guidelines, whereas Korean Medicine (KM) is still beginning. It will take time and effort to develop evidence-based guidelines and recommendations of KM or other traditional medicine because they are weak in the area of scientific evidence. The clinical practice guideline of Korean medicine for stroke was formulated through extensive review of published literature and consensus meeting of Korean medicine specialists. This project was supported by a grant of the Oriental Medicine R&D Project, the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Referring to guidelines developed in other countries, the experts in the subject tried to organize and develop guidelines and recommendations adequate for domestic medical circumstances. In December, 2008, a multi-disciplinary team called the Evidence Based Clinical Practice Guidelines Development Group (EBCPGsDG) for Stroke was organized. The writing committee was comprised of experts in internal medicine, acupuncture, rehabilitation, and Sasang constitution. Outside specialists and associated panels were invited for consultation. The scope of the guideline encompasses acupuncture, moxibustion and herbal medicine (including Korean medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, Kampo medicine) as interventions for stroke patients. It includes statements about ischemic stroke (I63), stroke not specified as hemorrhage or infarction (I64), and sequelae of cerebrovascular disease (I69) according to the International Classification of Disease (ICD). The committee subdivided the description of herbal medications into acute stroke management, subacute stroke management, post-stroke management, and secondary prevention of stroke. Guidelines on the practice of acupuncture and moxibustion were described in order for acute stroke management, subacute stroke management, chronic stroke management, and post-stroke rehabilitation. Clinicians who are working in the field of stroke care can adopt this guideline for their practice.

The application of a variable speed refrigeration system(VSRS) is expanding to the various industrial fields because the system copes with partial loads and has energy saving performance. An analytical model of heat exchanger in the system is represented by complicated partial differential equations with high-dimension. Therefore, the model should be linearized and reduced for obtaining practical control model. In this paper, the practical reduced model of the VSRS is derived from the moving boundary method and the Hankel singular value decomposition.

As the healthcare environment is being digitalized and changed rapidly, research using medical big data is increasing. One of the most applicable data is electronic medical records which can provide a large amount of clinically practical meaning. Electronic medical data include patient’s demographic information, laboratory test results, imaging and biosignal data. In this article, we provide support for a wide variety of researchers in their efforts to use electronic medical record data accurately and usefully in their work. From the basic concept of the research using electronic medical records to challenging aspects like data integration between multiple institutions are described. Also, examples of each type of data are covered; structured such as numeric data and unstructured such as images, biosignals and narrative text. Using these kinds of electronic medical records, analyses are processed by data cleansing, transforming, and reducing in order. Many kinds of variables such as the exposure and outcome of interest, covariate and the research design can be chosen during the preprocessing. As many machine-learning-based studies as well as epidemiologic-based studies have been conducted using electronic medical records, various research frameworks have been proposed. However, data quality management and data standardization for multi-center data analysis are still remaining as challenging tasks.

Dielectrophoresis (DEP) is an effective technique for manipulating a specific species of particle from mixtures when they are applied to microfluidic devices, and this can be used for many analyses like disease diagnosis, food hygiene, or microorganism monitoring. Planar electrodes, such as interdigitated electrodes, are widely used to induce DEP in microfluidic devices because of its simple fabrication processes, but as the DEP needs high spatial non-uniform electric fields, the particles which are distant from the electrodes are not manipulated properly. So, for the enough particle manipulation by DEP in microfluidic channel with keeping using the planar electrodes, AC electrothermal (ET) flow were used to assist those works. On the main channel flow whose direction is longitudinal, the electrothermal flow were intended to be induced in cross-sectional direction of the microchannel to induce the flow continuously. To operate the DEP and ET flow simultaneously using AC signals, the planar electrodes were designed properly, and at 1 MHz of AC frequency, the target bacteria Escherichia coli (E. coli) can be captured by positive DEP on to the electrodes, and ET flow can be induced as well. So, many of distant bacteria can be pulled to the electrodes by ET flow, and captured by positive DEP. In a microchannel of 300 um width and 160 um height, around 60% of bacteria coming into the microfluidic device can be selectively captured even many of them were located further from the electrodes.
