Coextraction형 음이온선택성 광센서를 이용한 인체 타액 내의 티오시안염 양의 결정

동시추출형 음이온선택성 광센서는 티오시안삼염과 같은 지용성 음이온에 대하여 선택적으로 감응을 한다. 이러한 광센서는 음이온을 막 안으로 끌어들일 수 있는 양이온성의 4차암모니움염(TDMACI)과 전하균형을 맞추며 색의 변화를 수반하는 음이온성 pH 지시약(ETH2412)으로 구성되어 있다. 감응화학물질들은 DOA 가소제와 PU 고분자의 혼합물에 녹여서 성형한 것이다. 이 광센서 막의 선택성향은 음이온의 수화에너지 순서인 Hoffmeister 계열(CIO?> SCN?> I?> NO?> Br?> C1?> HCO?> CH?COO?> SO? ∼ HPO??)을 따른다. 본 논문은 이러한 광센서를 이용하여 인체의 타액에 함유되어 있는 티오시안산염의 양을 결정하였다. 고분자 지지체의 성분은 PVC와 거의 같은 선택계수를 갖지만 감응속도나 재현성은 훨씬 뛰어나고 생체시료에 대한 적합성이 우수한 PU/hydroxylated PVC이었다. 티오시안산염은 독성의 시안산염이 대사된 결과 생성되는 부산물이며, 이 물질의 양을 측정하면 흡연의 영향을 얼마나 받았는지 알 수 있는 척도 자료가 된다. 10명의 타액을 이 광센서로 검출한 결과는 비교적 복잡한 장치를 써야하는 이온선택성 방법으로 얻은 결과와 견줄만한 것이었다.

The measurement of residual chlorine as a disinfectant is very important to ensure the safety against the pathogenic microbes and to suppress injection. The portable free chlorine sensor was fabricated with a disposable strip format by a screen printing method. The strip sensors prepared with a carbon-Ag/AgCl(cathode-anode) combination exhibited less interfering responses towards combined chlorine species(especially $NHCl_2$) and oxygen than the sensors prepared with other metals(i.e., gold and platinum). Free chlorine was determined chronoamperometrically with carbon-based electrodes at an applied potential of -0.3 V(vs. Ag/AgCl). A channel was built on the strip-type electrode for easy sampling, and the resulting strip sensors were employed to determine the concentrations of residual free chlorine.

Silicone rubber-matrix membranes doped with tetradecyltrimethylammonium chloride (TDTMACl) are used to enhance electrode performance for chloride measurements in physiological samples. The optimized membrane formulation incorporates 95.4 wt% silicone rubber and 4.6 wt% TDTMACl, and its pH response is negligible in the range of pH 6-10. The TDTMACl-doped silicone rubber membrane exhibits sub-Nernstian response to chloride from 10 to 300 mM (-37.5 mV/decade), but its selectivities for chloride over other anions are remarkably enhanced: KpotCl,NO3=1.3, KpotCl,I=2.0, KpotCl,Sal=0.8, KpotCl,SCN=2.0 and KpotCl,ClO4=0.8. Furthermore, since the silicone rubber-matrix membrane exhibits better adhesion to the solid surface than do PVC membranes, the lifetime of the coated-wire type membrane electrode is greatly improved. The response properties toward chloride and salicylate for solid-state sensor are not significantly changed after at least 35 days of use.
벤조티아졸기를 갖는 벤조크라운에테르를 전극물질로 사용한 $K^+$ 이온선택성 막전극

33중량%의 PVC와 66중량%의 o-NPOE 가소제에 1중량%의 중성 전극물질인 4'-benzothiazolyl-benzo-15-crown-5를 사용하여 성형한 막전극은 다른 15-크라운-5난 18-크라운-6 유토체들에 비하여 나트륨에 대하여 보다 낮은 선택성을 갖는 칼륨선택성을 나타내었다. 이 막전극의 전기화학적 성질들(감응기울기, 선택성, 섬출한계 및 수명)을 잘 알려져 있는 칼륨선택성 전극물질인 발리노마이신, benzo-15-crown-5, 4'-aminobenzo-15-15-crown-5, benzo-18-crown-6, dibenzo-18-crown-6 및 bis[(benzo-15-crown-5)-4'-ylnethuyl]pimelate를 사용한 전극막들의 것과 동일한 실험 조건하에서 비교하였다. 이러한 비교연구를 통하여 벤조티아졸기가 치환된 벤조크라운에테르 화합물이 증가된 칼륨이온 선택성을 나타내게되는 이유를 치환기의 효과와 이온의 분배계수효과로 설명하였다.

The amount of Cr(Ⅲ) and Cr(Ⅵ) in a chromium plating solution could be determined simultaneously within five minutes using UV/VIS spectrophotometer coupled with a flow-through analysis(FTA) setup. The λmax's at 580 nm and 440 nm which correspond to Cr(Ⅲ) and Cr(Ⅵ), respectively, well obey the Beer-Lambert law in the range over 0.05 g/L for Cr(Ⅲ) and 0.005 g/L for Cr(Ⅵ). when the pH of the sample is less than 4.0, the absorption extinction coefficients of those peaks are not much dependent on the proton concentration. The amount of Cr(Ⅲ) and Cr(Ⅵ), and the total chromium in post treatment chromium plating solution, which normally has few g/L of Cr concentration, could be easily measured using UV/VIS spectrophotometry after the sample had been diluted with sulfuric acid of pH=1.0 in the flow-through analysis setup; this method is far more convenient and faster than the common redox titration (which requires at least 40 min/sample) method, while the accuracy of the method is highly comparable to conventional titrimetric method. Since the implementation of an PTA-UV/VIS setup in any plating industry is cost effective and easy to operate, the analytic method described in this paper may be applied directly for in situ analysis of plating solutions.

The efficient synthesis of four mesitylene-based receptors 1-4 and their potentiometric response characteristics to alkali metal, alkaline earth metal, and transition metal ions, under various pH conditions are outlined. Receptor 1-based electrode exhibited more sensitive response to Ag+ ion (49 mV/decade of range from 10-6 to 10-2 M) than the 2-based electrode (47 mV/decade of range from 3 ´ 10-5 to 10-2 M), while the 3- and 4-based ones revealed sub-Nernstian below 40 mV/pAg+. All electrodes showed substantial responses to Ag+ ion under acidic condition, but there was almost nil-response to other transition metal ions (Fe₂+, Co₂+, Zn₂+, Ni₂+, Pb₂+, Cd₂+, Cu₂+ and Hg₂+). The association constant of receptor 1 toward Ag+ ion, measured by 1H NMR titration, showed the largest value (200 M-1) among the tested receptors. The results were interpreted with semi empirically-modeled structures.
