        광릉긴나무좀, 왕녹나무좀, 노랑애나무좀 성충에 대한 포스핀의 훈증활성

        많은 산림해충들은 목재검역에서 문제가 되고 있어 포스핀($PH_3$)을 이용하여 광릉긴나무좀, 왕녹나무좀, 노랑애나무좀의 성충에 대한 살충 활성을 조사하였다. 3종의 나무좀류에 대하여 99% 살충활성을 보이는 LCT값은 각각 3.192 (광릉긴나무좀), 0.994 (왕녹나무좀), $0.501mg{\cdot}h/L$ (노랑애나무좀) 순으로 나타났다. 포스핀을 처리한 3종의 나무좀류는 시간이 지남에 따라 살충활성도 증가하였다. 특히 광릉긴나무좀에서는 0.4 mg/L 이상의 농도에서 약제처리 7일 후에 100%의 사충률을 보였다. 이러한 결과로 볼 때 포스핀이 3종의 목재해충 성충에 대해 메칠브로마이드의 대체훈증제로 이용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. Many forest pests have caused problems for wood quarantine. The fumigation activity of phosphine ($PH_3$) was examined for the adults of three wood-boring insect pests. The $LCT_{99}$ values for Platypus koryoensis, Cryphalus fulvus, and Xyleborus mutilates were 3.192, 0.994, and $0.501mg{\cdot}h/L$ at $20^{\circ}C$, respectively. The effectiveness of $PH_3$ was increasingly time dependent for all doses tested in all three species. In particular, P. koryoensis showed 100% mortality at doses higher than 0.4 mg/L 7 days after fumigation. These results indicate that methyl bromide could be substituted for $PH_3$ for adults of these three species of wood pest.

      • Effects of Human Platelet Transforming Growth Factor-$\beta$ on Replication and Collagen Synthesis in Primarily Cultured Mesangial Cell

        쥐의 mesangial 세포를 초회 배양하여 Transforming Growth Factor-$\beta$(TGF-$\beta$)가 세포의 복제 및 collagen 합성에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. TGF-$\beta$는 사람 혈소판에서 산성 에탄올 침전법 및 FPLC를 이용한 젤 크로마토그래피의 방법으로 정제되었다. TGF-$\beta$가 mesangial 세포를 복제 및 collagen 합성에 미치는 영향은 TGF-$\beta$ 농도와 세포의 밀도에 따라 달라졌다. Confluent 세포의 경우 0.1~15 ng/ml의 농도에서 TGF-$\beta$는 mesangial 세포의 복제를 35%까지 감소시켰다. Collagen 합성은 0.5 ng/ml의 TGF-$\beta$ 농도에서는 2배로 증가되었으나 그 이상의 농도에서는 감소하기 시작하는 두 가지의 조절 양상을 보였다. 그러나 subconfluent 세포의 경우에는 세포의 복제 빛 collagen 합성 모두에 TGF-$\beta$는 아무런 효과를 나타내지 못하였다. 본 연구결과는 TGF-$\beta$가 glomerulosclerosis에 있어서 중요한 역할을 하리라는 가능성을 제시해주고 있다. The effect of TGF-$\beta$ on cell replication and collagen synthesis in primarily cultured mesangial cells from rats was studied in vitro. The TGF-$\beta$ was purified from human platelets by acidic ethanol extraction and gel filtration with FPLC. The effect of TGF-$\beta$ on the DNA synthesis and the collagen synthesis in mesangial cells depended on both TGF-$\beta$ concentration and cell density in monolayer culture. Concentrations of TGF-$\beta$ ranging from 0.1~15 ng/ml were evaluated for their effects upon DNA synthesis. In confluent cells, when compared to the growth rate in standard medium, TGF-$\beta$ concentrations in the range 0.1~15 ng/ml reduced a cell proliferation up to 35%, suggesting inhibition of cell division. The effect of TGF-$\beta$ on collagen synthesis in mesangial cells was biphasic. In confluent cells, the addition of TGF-$\beta$ induced a 2-fold increase in the production of collagen when compared with cells grown in standard medium. The maximal effect of TGF-$\beta$ occurred at 0.5 ng/ml. At higher concentrations there was a decrease in the action of TGF-$\beta$ with the effects on collagen production. In subconfluent cells, however, TGF-$\beta$ showed no significant effects on the DNA synthesis and the collagen synthesis at all concentrations. These results support that TGF-$\beta$ may play an important role as a multifunctional regulator in the pathogenesis of glomerulosclerosis.

        PubMed를 통한 소아질환에 대한 추나 치료 연구의 최신 동향

        Objectives We aimed reviewing studies related to the treatment of children by Chiropractic treatment. Methods We referred to PubMed by using searching keywords of chiropractic and the terms of pediatrics, such as child, children, juvenile, pediatric, infant. Twenty four papers were found. Results 1. We found twenty four papers about pediatric and chiropractic. 2. Chiropractic was used in various pediatric diseases and was shown to be effective. 3. There were several views on safety and effectiveness of pediatric chiropractic. Conclusions Applying of pediatric chiropractic was broad, and it was effectively cure for pediatric diseases.

        빵용 밀 품종의 등숙기 질소 시비 시기와 양이 글루텐 분획 및 빵 부피에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of nitrogen fertilization amount and timing of application on protein content, dough properties, change in protein fraction, and bread loaf volume for Korean wheat cultivars, Baekkang, Joongmo2008, and Saekeumkang, for bread with a superior gluten composition during the grain filling stage. Protein content increased with an increase in the amount of N and timing of application. The SDS segmentation volume (SDSS) increased with an increase in N, but there was no effect of the timing of N application on SDSS. An increase in N amount and timing of application caused a difference in dough properties, such as water absorption, mixing time, and tolerance, among the cultivars. Soluble and insoluble polymeric and monomeric protein contents increased with an increase in N amount and timing of application the three Korean wheat cultivars. The effects of N amount and application timing on bread loaf volume (BLV) varied among the cultivars. The BLV of Saekeumkang increased regardless of the N amount and timing of application, but that of Baekkang and Joongmo2008 cultivars was reduced. However, there was a positive correlation between protein content with the addition of N fertilization and BLV. In addition, SDSS, mixing time, and protein fractions were positively correlated with BLV. Since the response of fertilizer conditions was different for each wheat cultivar, it is necessary to build a suitable fertilizing system for each of them. Additionally, since the environment is changing, such as abnormal climate during the maturing period, research is needed to establish appropriate fertilizer conditions for varieties of bread wheat.

        삼출성 연령관련황반변성에서 유리체강내 베바시주맙 주입술의 해부학적 비반응군 조사

        Purpose: To analyze the characteristics of anatomical non-response to intravitreal bevacizumab (IVB) in patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Methods: Neovascular AMD patients who were treated with IVB were studied. A non-responder was defined as a patient whose eyes had no change in choroidal neovascularization (CNV) lesion size or fluorescein leakage and no change in foveal thickness (FT) after at least two administrations of IVB. Demographic findings and efficacy outcomes were compared between responders and non-responders based on patient gender, age, visual acuity (VA), FT, CNV lesion type, CNV lesion size, presence of serous retinal detachment (SRD), presence of pigment epithelial detachment (PED), PED size, and presence of sub-macular hemorrhage (SMH). Results: Five patients (six eyes; 13.6%) were identified as non-responders to treatment with IVB. The mean age of the non-responder group (75.17 ± 3.66 yers) was greater (p = 0.237) than that of the responder group (71.89 ± 8.06 years), and the proportion of occult CNV (85.7% versus 55.3%, p = 0.375) was higher in the non-responder group, although there was no significant difference compared with that of the responder group. The PED size of the non-responder group (4.42 ± 1.56 mm2) was significantly larger than that of the responder group (1.51 ± 2.33 mm2, p = 0.001). Conclusions: The authors report a group of patients in AMD with poor treatment response to IVB. The PED size of the non-responder group was confirmed to be significantly larger than that of the responder group. J Korean Ophthalmol Soc 2010;51(11):1464-1470

        TiO<sub>2</sub>/Cu<sub>x</sub>O (1<x<2)의 광촉매 활성 및 항균작용

        $CuCl_2$로부터 용액합성법에 의해 CuO를 제조하였다. $CuCl_2$를 용액에 첨가하기 전에 용액내에 anatase형 $TiO_2$ 입자를 분산시켜 CuO가 형성되는 과정에서 $TiO_2$/CuO 결합입자를 합성하였다. 얻어진 $TiO_2$/CuO에 적당량의 글루코스를 가하여 반응시켜 CuO의 일부를 $Cu_2O$로 환원시켰다. 얻어진 시료 $TiO_2/Cu_xO$ (1<x<2) 복합체의 광특성, 광촉매 활성 및 항균작용에 대하여 실험하였다. 얻어진 $TiO_2/Cu_xO$ 복합체는 anatase와는 다르게 가시광선 전 영역에서 흡광이 발생했으며 당연한 결과로 태양광선에서 $TiO_2/Cu_xO$ 복합체의 광촉매 활성은 anatase $TiO_2$에 비하여 매우 뛰어난 것으로 나타났다. 또한 $TiO_2/Cu_xO$ 복합체의 항균성이 대단히 뛰어난 것으로 나타났다. Copper oxide (CuO) was synthesized from $CuCl_2$ by solution method. Anatase $TiO_2$ particle was dispersed into the solution before preparing CuO, so that $TiO_2$/CuO heterojunction was created through the nucleation of CuO onto the $TiO_2$ surface. Some amount of CuO was reduced to $Cu_2O$ by treating glucose into the solution, thereby preparing $TiO_2/Cu_xO$ complex. The obtained $TiO_2/Cu_xO$ complex showed advanced phtocatalytic activity under the sun light compared with the P-25 sample. In addition, the the $TiO_2/Cu_xO$ complex showed excellent antipathogenic effect.

        EnergyPlus를 이용한 수평형의 지열 히트펌프와 어스튜브를 조합한 시스템의 성능 검토

        This study is performed to performance of the combined system the GSHP (Ground Source Heat Pump) system with the Earth tube system using EnergyPlus program. The Earth tube system using fan is characteristics as supply lower (higher) air temperature than outdoor air temperature in cooling and heating seasons, the GSHP system is characteristics as small indoor air temperature variation range. As the results of Earth tube + GSHP system simulation, GSHP power can be reduced than the GSHP single operation as 17.3% in cooling seasons and 32.5% in heating seasons, the GSHP design capacity can be replaced more small size.

        Objectives : The purpose of this study is finding tendencies of diagnosis and treatment of the traffic accidental patients. Methods : We reviewed and analyzed all theses published by Korean research institution. And these theses were classified by year, field of study, reviewed by focusing on diagnosis and evaluation, treatment type. Results : 1. 72 articles were published since 1993. 2. Classified by the major field of study, the korean academy of oriental rehabilitation medicine accounted for 33 papers. 3. 7-Zone-Diagnostic system and Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory were studied mostly. 4. To add pharmacopuncture or chuna treatments are effective. 5. Traffic accidental patients get satisfaction about Oriental medicine therapy but methods of medical treatment are restrictively. Conclusions : Oriental medicine treatment is the effective way to cure traffic accidental sequela, but we need further studies.

        롤투롤 스퍼터 시스템을 이용하여 PET 기판위에 성막 시킨 ITO 박막의 특성 연구

        The electrical, optical, structural and surface properties of an indium tin oxide (ITO) film grown on a flexible PET substrate using a specially designed roll-to-roll (R2R) sputtering system as a function of the DC power, $Ar/O_2$ flow ratio, and rolling speed is reported. It was observed that both the electrical and optical properties of the ITO film on the PET substrate were critically dependent on the $Ar/O_2$ flow ratio. In addition, x-ray diffraction examination results showed that the structure of the ITO film on the PET substrate was an amorphous structure regardless of the DC power and the $Ar/O_2$ flow ratio due to a low substrate temperature, which was maintained constant by a main cooling drum. Under optimized conditions, ITO film with resistivity of $6.44{\times}10^{-4}{\Omega}-cm$ and transparency of 86% were obtained, even when prepared at room temperature. Furthermore, bending test results exhibited that R2R-grown ITO film had good flexibility which would be applicable to flexible displays and solar cells.

        꽃노랑총채벌레와 대만총채벌레에 대한 51종의 살충제 감수성 평가

        시판되고 있는 51종(단제 21종과 합제 30종)의 살충제를 이용한 꽃노랑총채벌레와 대만총채벌레 성충에 대한 약제 감수성을 검토한 결과 90% 이상의 살충률을 보인 약제 15종을 선발하였으며, 시판되고 있는 합제에서 많은 유효성분들이 오남용되고 있다고 보여진다. 2종의 총채벌레에 대한 살충제 감수성을 비교한 결과 모든 약제에 대하여 대만총채벌레가 꽃노랑총채벌레에 비해 높은 감수성을 보이기 때문에 꽃노랑총채벌레에 효과 있는 약제로 동시방제가 가능할 것으로 판단된다. 꽃노랑총채벌레를 대상으로 선발된 15종의 약제를 이용하여 약효발현속도($LT_{50}$과 $LT_{95}$), 침투이행성, 잔효성을 비교하였다. 약효 발현속도를 $LT_{95}$ (hour)값으로 비교했을 때, chlorpyrifos WP, chlorpyrifos + diflubenzuron WP가 2시간 이내로 가장 빨랐고, spinetoram WG은 62.3시간으로 가장 느렸다. Chlorfenapyr SC에서 뿌리와 엽면을 통한 침투이행 효과가 나타났고, spinetoram WG에서 엽면을 통한 침투이행 효과만이 나타났다. 약제 잔효성 실험에서 chlorfenapyr SC는 14일, benfuracarb WG와 chlorpyrifos WP는 3일까지 효과가 지속되었다. 꽃노랑총채벌레 야외집단(화훼재배지와 과채류재배지)간의 감수성 비교에서는 화훼재배지에서 채집된 집단이 더 낮은 약제 감수성을 보였다. The susceptibility of the western flower thrips, Frankliniella occidentalis and garden thrips, Frankliniella intonsa was evaluated using 51 commercial insecticides. 15 kinds of insecticides which showed more than 90% mortality against both thrips, F. occidentalis and F. intonsa was selected. Many active ingredients were misused and abused in commercial mixture formulation insecticides. Since the F. intonsa was more susceptible than F. occidentalis, it was considered that both thrips can be controlled by insecticides that showed insecticidal activity on the F. occidentalis. Lethal time ($LT_{50}$ and $LT_{95}$), systemic toxicity and residual toxicity of selected insecticides were compared. Both chlorpyrifos WP and chlorpyrifos + diflubenzuron WP revealed the fastest toxicity within 2 h ($LT_{95}$), while spinetoram WG revealed the slowest toxicity as 62.3 h ($LT_{95}$). Chlorfenapyr SC showed toxicity at foliar and drenching application while spinetoram WG was toxic only in foliar application. Chlorfenapyr SC showed residual effect at 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 days after treatment and both benfuracarb WG and chlorpyrifos WP showed residual effect at 3 days after treatment. As a result of treatment of selected insecticides for field population of F. occidentalis, the population collected from horticultural crops showed lower susceptibility than the population collected from vegetable crops.
