Soft tissue reconstruction of dorsum of the foot and ankle has long presented challenging problems for the reconstructive surgeon. Limitations of available local tissue, the need for specialized tissue, and donor site morbidity restrict the options. In an effort to solve these difficult problems, we have begun to use adipofascial flap based on the perforating branch of the peroneal artery. We present our early experience of 5 patients treated with this flap. Our patients ranged from 6 to 26 years in age and included 3 males and 2 females. The etiologies of the wounds were secondary to traffic accident, and crushing injury. The flaps had reverse flow in all patients. The flap and the adjoining raw area were covered with a full-thickness skin graft, while the donor site at the lateral aspect of the leg was closed primarily without grafting. The skin graft was taken from the inguinal area, which was closed primarily. Compared with other flap, this adipofascial flap is thinner, producing less bulkiness to the recipient site and minor aesthetic sequelae to the donor site. In our opinion, this flap is versatile, effective, and an addition to the armamentarium of the reconstructive surgeon for coverage of difficult wounds of the foot and ankle.
다중 전송률을 지원하는 VSG-CDMA 역방향 링크 성능 분석

본 논문에서는 멀티 미디어 서비스를 지원하는 VSG-CDMA 시스템의 역방향 링크 용량을 전력 제어와 사용자 분포에 따라 두 모델로 가정하여 해석적으로 분석한다. 분석 모델 I은 완벽한 전력제어와 사용자의 균일 분포로 가정하여 블록킹 확률식을 계산하고 1 %의 블록킹 확률에 일치하는 최대 음성과 데이터 사용자수를 산출한다. 분석 모델 II은 전력제어오차와 사용자의 비균일(셀 경계 부분에 위치)분포로 가정하여 분석한다. 모델 I의 분석 결과는 5 MHz의 광대역 VSG-CDMA 시스템 용량의 상한선(upper bound)이며 모델 II의 분석 결과는 시스템 용량의 하한선(lower bound)을 제시한다. 또한 모델 II에서 데이터 활동율과E$_{b}$/N$_{o}$ 값에 따른 사용자 용량을 분석하여 VSG-CDMA 시스템의 성능 개선 방안을 제안한다. In this paper, the capacity of VSG-CDMA system supporting multi-media service in the reverse link is analyzed by considering the two models according to the power control and user distribution. In analysis model I, assuming perfect power control and uniform distribution of users, the equation of blocking probability is calculated and the maximum number of voice and data user is derived in accordance with 1 % blocking probability. In analysis model II, it is analyzed by assuming power control error and non-uniform distribution of users. The result of analysis model I means the upper bound of system capacity in the 5 MHz wideband VSG-CDMA system, and the result of analysis model II shows the lower bound of system capacity. Also, the improved plan of performance for VSG-CDMA system is suggested by the analyzed result according to data activity and the value of $E_b/N_o$ in model II.

In this paper, we consider a network optimization problem arising from the deployment of BcN access network. BcN convergence services requires that access networks satisfy QoS meausres. BcN services have two types of traffics : stream traffic and elastic traffic. Stream traffic uses blocking probability as a QoS measure, while elastic traffic uses delay factor as a QoS measure. Incorporating the QoS requirements, we formulate the problem as a nonlinear mixed-integer Programming model. The Proposed model seeks to find a minimum cost dimensioning solution, while satisfying the QoS requirement. We propose two local search heuristic algorithms for solving the problem, and develop a network design system that implements the developed heuristic algorithms. We demonstrate the computational efficacy of the proposed algorithm by solving a realistic network design problem.

ePRO-OMP: OpenMP 응용 프로그램의 성능 및 에너지 분석 도구

As chip multiprocessors have been widely adopted in embedded systems, achieving both high performance and low power consumptions of parallel applications becomes challenging. In order to meet these requirements, it is crucial for developers to analyze the performance and energy consumption of parallel applications. In this paper, we propose a tool for profiling and optimizing the performance and energy consumption of OpenMP applications (energy PROfiler and analyzer for OpenMP: ePRO-OMP). The main advantage of ePRO-OMP is that it can analyze both the performance and energy consumption of each parallel region of an OpenMP application, which can help developers find the bottleneck of parallel applications in detail.
